Chapters Prologue - What Are Roommates For?
Lemon Zest sat at the foot of her bed holding a glossy red guitar. She fiddled with the tuning for a few moments, then strummed the open strings. Satisfied, she picked at the strings with her right hand while her left pressed against the fret board. She closed her eyes and let the melody sink in, then she sang.
"Whoa-oh oh. Hmm hmm hmm." Her voice was soft and raspy.
"That's unusually pretty sounding." Sour Sweet leaned forward and lowered her textbook, sitting on her own bed across the dorm room.
Lemon smiled as her chord rang. "Thanks. I can't figure out what lyrics to write, though. I'm not good at this sappy stuff."
Sour chuckled and shook her head. "So why are you writing a sappy song?"
"Dude, every good metal album has at least one sappy love song like this. I gotta do it to!" Lemon flipped the overdrive switch on her amp and slammed a power chord, then began sweep-picking high scales. "It's so boring though. I just wanna shred, you know?"
Sour rubbed her forehead and shrugged. "My heart truly bleeds for you. Wish I could help."
"Maybe you can," Lemon said with a naughty smile. "Wanna come over here and give me a lesson in lovin' ?"
Sour looked over Lemon's body as she sat her guitar off to the side of her bed. "Right now?"
Lemon spread her arms and legs, then gestured towards her self with a quick nod.
"So what? I'm just a tool for your music writing now?" Sour stood up with her hands on her hips and a raised eyebrow.
"Nah girl. I just want your fingers inside of me. Any song writing that comes after is a lucky bonus." Lemon laughed as Sour walked up to her and shoved her onto her back.

Ch. 1 - The Spice of Life
Sour Sweet squirmed with her hand between her legs, her fingers flicking from side to side. Beneath her fingers, Lemon Zest prodded with her tongue and swirled it around.

Sour rolled over and hugged her girlfriend, then gave her a quick kiss. "It's not your fault. It's me."
Lemon frowned and lowered her eyes, stroking the back of Sour's head as they hugged. "It feels like my fault. i used to be able to get you off so easily. What changed?"
Sour shrugged and rested her chin on Lemon's bare shoulder. "I love you, Zesty."
"I..." Lemon cleared her throat and blushed. "Love you too, babe."
"But..." Sour leaned back and looked her lover in the eye, her hands on her shoulders. "I think we need to spice things up."
Lemon furrowed her brow and tilted her head. "What do you mean?"
"Like, we always do the same things every night. We've been at it for like six months now, and we used to try new stuff all the time at first, but not so much lately. Let's mix it up a bit?" Sour explained. "I was thinking about this earlier today and looked up some things online."
"Well that's 'cause I thought we found what worked." Lemon chuckled and sat upright. "Do you mean you were you watching porn?"

"I..." Sour stared down at her friend's finger. "I dunno."

"Please, Lemon--we're not middle school girls who use words like that. We'll celebrate our actual anniversary next year like adults. Do you remember the date?" Sour looked up with wide eyes and a cocked grin.
Lemon nodded and closed her eyes. "Of course. How could I forget?"

"Fine," Raven said. "Hurry back."

Raven groaned and shook her head. "Fine."
"Thank you!" Lemon stood up and quickly ran out of the room.
She then made her way down the hallway and into the restroom. "Sour?" she whispered.

"And you like other people getting to watch me come?" Sour asked again, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm not sure. I didn't realize how awesome it would feel to do what we did in the classroom. I'll let you do it to me next time if you want." Lemon laughed. "Where are you going with this?"
"I love you, Lemon." Sour reached down and grabbed both of her hands. "I love what we're doing right now, for each other, even if it's embarrassing sometimes."

Sour looked down and thought for a moment. "That's the tricky part, isn't it?"

Sour nodded. "That was my biggest concern at first. I don't think that'll happen, though. It's something I've been wanting to experience, and I know you're the person I want to share that experience with."
"Will it be a one time thing?" Lemon asked.
"I guess we'll decide afterwards how we feel about it." Sour rubbed Lemon's shoulder. "Let's get back to class and start trying to find a suitable candidate."
"Yeah Raven is gonna flip out on us if we don't get back soon." Lemon opened the stall door and led her girlfriend into the hallway. "Man, I really have no idea who we should do this with, but I'm excited for it now. Think we'll get someone tonight?"
Sour shook her head. "Doubtful. We can try, though."
The walked hand in hand down the hallway towards the classroom, their minds wandering.
The school bell rang and a line of students filed into the hallway. Lemon Zest closely followed her girlfriend and wrapped an arm around her neck as they headed towards their dorm room.
"Hey guess what?" Lemon asked.
Sour tilted her head. "What."
"I think I found someone." Lemon held her phone in front of Sour, which showed a picture of a sexy white girl with neon blue hair. She wore only a bra and panties and revealed a large musical note tattooed on her hip.
"And who's that?" Sour asked with skepticism in her voice.

Lemon took a seat next to her, then Sour sat behind her, wrapping her arms and legs around her. "What do you think I should say?"
"I'm not too sure. I never met her so I don't know. This'll be up to you." Sour rested her chin on Lemon's shoulder as she watched her type. "Worst case scenario we just have to find someone else."
"Right, right." Lemon thought for a moment, then continued her text.
Hi! It's been a while. What are you up to? she sent.
"Nice," Sour said, grinning. "Are you still excited?"
Lemon nodded. "Yeah, but I was thinking about something."
"What were you thinking about?" Sour asked.
"We should probably set up some ground rules, right? Like what is or isn't okay to do with this girl, that way we don't cross any lines or whatever," Lemon explained.
