Drift Wizard
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryThe sound of my alarm buzzes In my head. I lazily throw my hand in the direction of the noise, silencing it. I lift my head from bed and instantly get hit with the smell of alcohol and sex. I also find Vinyl on the other side of the bed, and Rainbow in the floor sleeping on an actual mountain of beer cans.
I let out a sigh "Vinyl, Rainbow, get up. We have to go open the shop". I pull the covers off of Vinyl and throw them on the floor to wash later. She groans and attempts to cover her exposed body with non-existing covers. "Vinyl, wake Rainbow up and come downstairs. I'm going to go get breakfast".
"Alright.. we'll be down in a minute" She replies with an annoyed tone.
I get out of bed and put clothes on: A pair of ripped up work jeans, a black Wizardz Inc. hoodie, and some worn out skate shoes. At this point, Vinyl is up and waking Rainbow and getting dressed. I walk out of my small living space and Into my workshop. Around the shop are cars in various states of repair and modification. "What a mess.." I yawn.
I open the garage door and walk over to my small MX-5 Miata. I drop into the driver seat and grab my steering wheel off of the dash to lock it onto the steering hub. I start the car and the sound of the rotary powered 20B motor roars to life. If Vinyl and Rainbow went back to sleep, im sure they're up now.
I shift into reverse and back out of the garage, scraping the bottom of the car on the ramp down. I check the time: it's eight, meaning the donut shop should be open by the time I get there. I turn the car around, tires skipping across the pavement. I hold in the clutch and shift into first gear. I rev the car up and drop the clutch, the exhaust screams, and the car spits flames spinning the tires in the parking lot of the warehouse.
I pull out into the streets of canterlot, Pony's hustling on their way to work fill the sidewalks. Traffic, busy as always. I cruise up the street in second gear, being gentle on the throttle as to keep the noise of my straight pipe exhaust to a minimum.
I pull up to a stop light. I reach into my glove box and grab a cigarette and my lighter, lighting it and placing it between my lips. The light turns green and I continue down the street to the donut shop, occasionally flicking ashes out of my window. Joe should just be opening the bakery up now.
I reach the donut shop and drive out of the street and into a parking spot, I turn off my car and detach the steering wheel, bringing it with me as I get out. As per usual, Joe already has a batch done for me as I walk in.
"Hey Waster! Whats new with ya? It's been a while." Joe greats.
"nothin much, mostly working. there's been a sudden increase in business lately. So we're all overworked a little."
