The second War in History..
Previous ChapterThe first war of the world was the war of the forgotten. Ghosts of past, present, and future roamed the land. None alive, all were dead. Many just echoes, but none existed.
This was the representation of life to be, before the dawn of civilization on the planet of Equus. The explosion of the universe was the first to come, namely, the big bang. But instead of creating everything that will be, what came out was a single planet surrounded by an ocean of darkness.
Technically; the planet was everything, it was literally the center of the universe. However malleable and fluctuative, it was the universe to be.
Like magic, dust and dirt flowed through and around the planet aimlessly. Without a cause, a mover, and without a purpose. The planet spun, but it was still. The planet moved through space, but stayed in the same place. The planet glowed, and the light died. But echoes remained. Echoes of many. Echoes of all.
Echoes of everything.
The first ghost in appearance was the ghost of the star closest to the planet. Then the stars all in the sky in their blinking beauty, coalescing, inventing the laws of physics.
Reality itself blinked in and out of existence. Like a switch turning a light on and off, blackness prevailed and then was torn away, making room for the light.
This is known as the first world war.
The War for Life.
This is known among all ponies on the planet of Equus on present day. Though none had been there to experience it.
Ever since the first-born foal, the colts and fillies alike drew of pictures pertaining to these times. These have been thought to have been pre-recorded into genetic memory, because not a single pony has been born that doesn't know of this. Though, oddly enough, the pony race is the only race that has these memories. Everypony remembers of a time before they were born.
The ghosts of race continued next, ghosts played through a fast cycle of life then death. Their soul making a permanent stain in the fabric of the cosmos. A star is born when a foal is born, another when the foal dies of natural causes. But not when they die otherwise.
The reason this is considered a world war is because of the fight it took for this to happen. The blinking of reality was the struggle, but the light of reality signified life's grip on the future.
