This story is going to relatively different than most others. Since this is a third person story that will change multiple times from omniscient to limited, chapters will be broken down into parts in order to suit the needs of each individual character. For example, if a character decides that they are going to split up in order to solve a problem then the chapter will end (no matter its length) and two chapters will be formed after it. The split chapters happen the exact same time as one another but with a different though process and different view on the world, the situation, and the characters they might encounter. One character may be better suited to solve a problem than another and no character is superior to the other as a man or pony is only as powerful as their experience in a particular situation. With that, the split chapters can be read in any order and not the way of "this chapter was written first so I should read it first". Enjoy the story and all of its quarks as it is.
