Twilight of the Hegemon

It was warm, May day of 2012, streets was filled with people, wearing shorts and T-shirts, contrasting with recently dropped winter clothing. Some went out for a walk with their faithful quadrupeds, corporate employees dressed in suits were heading to their cars, or bus stops, to go to work. People who had a vacation, or weren't limited by a predetermined schedule, were spending this day actively, running or cycling. Younger people, or students, strolled freely, listening to music or looking round, and larger groups were discussing among themselves. Everyone was thinking about the oncoming weekend and journey to the bosom of nature. Everfree Forest after long debates became protected by Mayor's decree, so it was a perfect place to escape from urban noises.

Students started coming to one of the biggest high schools in the city, Canterlot High. Despite many events, which happened in walls of this schools, no one decides to leave. Friendship has formed, among many of them, everyone finds the common language, despite subculture division. Everyone owed this state of affairs to a newcomer from an alternate world, a lavender one, who to recover a thing which belongs to her, came to this city and united all students.

Students were coming by bikes, buses, or on their own feets, but one person came on a motorcycle. A person who drove the vehicle, was a tall girl, wearing a leather jacket, light blue tunic, blue leggings, and leather boots with orange ornaments. Her name was, Sunset Shimmer, a year ago, her name awed, especially after a crown incident, but at present everyone was friends with her. After taking off her helmet, she entered to school courtyard with her motorcycle. After Friendship Games, Principal Celestia allowed Sunset to keep it, as recognition, Sunset also became a Dean of Students. She parked her cycle on cycle parking, took her backpack, and went to the monument. Only a few people knew, the monument is portal to Equestria, where Sunset come from. At the monument, a young girl stood, with violet hair, wearing school uniform and glasses. Sunset wanted to prank her friend, as silent as she could, she jumped at the monument. She opened her backpack and took out a hockey mask. Whole inspiration was a recently viewed movie, called "Friday 13", she was persuaded to watch this movie, by the captain of the school soccer team, Rainbow Dash. After putting the mask, she started to sneak to Twilight, when she was above her head, lavender turned off her head, instead of a scream of fear, she looked on her savior, only with embarrassment.

"Seriously Sunset?" She sighed. Twilight took her backpack and went to school. Lack of reaction, on thing commonly recognized as frightening, surprised new Dean. After taking off her mask, she jumped down from the monument. When the battle with Dazzlings has ended, Princess of Friendship, asked her compatriot, to protect the portal on the human's side. Redeemed unicorn was carrying well, from her task, despite, Midnight Sparkle went crazy, and Gaia Everfree has shown in Everfree Forest, both of them didn't use the portal, thanks to Sunset. Unicorn in human body looked at the monument with nostalgy, it was the only way back to her real home. In a moment, a smile appeared at her mouth, she put her backpack on her shoulders and went lesson with new energy.
