Searching The Cave
Sweetie Belle was outside of the Ponyville schoolhouse as the school day was over. She was ready to go home. She looked around and saw something that caught her eye. She saw an opening in the distance away from the schoolhouse.
She knew that she shouldn't run off on her own and stay in town as Rarity would be upset if she ran off to somewhere she wasn't supposed to but she couldn't stop thinking of that area. She looked back and saw that her teacher went inside the schoolhouse so she made a run for it.
She ran to the opening and looked inside with curiosity taking over. It looked very dark. She had no idea this cave was ever here. She saw that the opening was recently formed most likely caused by a small earthquake. She looked around and saw that the cave was a distance off from the Ponyville Schoolhouse.
She wanted to tell her friends about it. It looked pretty creepy but that just intrigued her even more. She wanted to check it out but it baffled her that a creepy cave could be found in Ponyville as recently a few days ago. She lit up her horn and hesitated. She was worried that she would get lost.
She knew that Rarity would probably freak out to see that she was gone but she couldn't pass up a possible discovery of treasure of something so she went inside and looked around as she guided herself with her light from her horn. It felt damp and very rocky.
"This cave must have been here in Equestria for centuries! It could be possible that Mayor Mare was hiding This place so that Nopony could get hurt. Ive been over in this area before and I didn't see no cave until now!" Sweetie Belle said to herself. She knew that she could possibly frighten Rarity but she would be okay because she would go back to Rarity. She figured that she might have to keep her discovery to herself as she might get in trouble.
She made sure to be very careful not to trip inside the cave she didn't want Rarity to know that she went off on her own. She was still afraid of getting lost. She went deeper inside and started to see old inscriptions that she couldn't translate. She noticed that they didn't look like anything from Equestria. She went deeper and just saw the same stuff.
Then she came upon a room and she tried to open it but it wouldn't budge. She tried to give it another strong push. She also tried to buck it open. She soon used her magic and picked up a rock from the wall and used it to smash the door open. She saw something that interested her.
She saw a large table in the center of the room. She gave it a investigative look. She walked around it and saw that it probably has been sitting in that room for a thousand years. She opened it up slowly to see what was inside. Her eyes grew wide as she saw a skeleton of a pony inside it.
She let out a blood curdling scream and started to run back to the entrance of the cave. She was terrified and her heart was racing as soon as she got out she ran outside back into town where Rarity found her.
"There you are!" Rarity shouted as she turned Sweetie Belle around. Rarity was panting and looked upset.
"Where in Tartarus were you Sweetie Belle?! Why didn't you come home or stay with your friends!? You disappeared on me and on your friends! I was worried sick about you! I was going to have Cheerilee report you as missing! Why did you did such a thing!?" Rarity yelled. Sweetie Belle was upset at the fact that she was in trouble.
"Rarity there was this cave at the back of the schoolhouse. It's a bit far of a walk but I went inside and saw a skeleton! It was huge!" Sweetie Belle said. Rarity almost had a heart attack.
"You what!? You went into a cave!? You could have been killed Sweetie Belle! Why would you did that to me!?" Rarity yelled. Sweetie Belle winced as she was scared by Rarity's yelling.
"It...it looked interesting! That's all! I'm sorry Rarity. I didn't mean to make you worry!" Sweetie Belle stuttered as she spoke. She started to cry at Rarity yelling and being mad at her.
"You ran off on me Sweetie Belle! I'm so furious it's not even funny! I don't even care if there were crystals there! You shouldn't ran off! I thought you were dead! Don't ever run off somewhere that you don't know about! From now on if you find something like that report it and Celestia will send explorers inside! Dammit Sweetie Belle! What in Equestria were you thinking!?" Rarity screamed.
Sweetie Belle was crying she felt guilty and scared. She didn't want to be yelled at anymore. She understood where Rarity was coming from she tried to explain to her sister.
"I said I'm sorry! You don't have to scream at me!" Sweetie Belle said as she used a raised voice. Rarity stopped and sighed. She calmed herself down and pulled her sister into a hug.
"I'm sorry for screaming at you Sweetie Belle I was just frightened. I thought....I thought I lost you! I love you and I don't ever want to lose you!" Rarity said as she started to tear up. Sweetie Belle understood as she nodded. They both hugged and cried.
"I'm sorry for running off on you. I should have just reported the cave to you and Mayor Mare. I'm sorry for scaring you it wasn't right for me to run off like that." Sweetie Belle said. Rarity took a deep breath as they hugged while tears pored from their eyes. Rarity kissed Sweetie Belle's head.
"I forgive you. Your not in trouble and in not going to punish you. You didn't mean any harm. You were just curious. If you wanted it explored you could have told me and I would've had Celestia send explorers into it." Rarity told her. Sweetie Belle nodded as she understood what Rarity meant. She would do that next time she found a location like that.
"Would Celestia let me know what was in the place they search once I tell them about it. I would want to know. I'm very curious." Sweetie Belle said. Rarity nodded at her sister.
"Yes she would." Rarity told her. Sweetie Belle nodded and they pulled away from the hug and they went home together. While they went home together they both calmed down. All was forgiven. When they got home they switched to lighter topics. Rarity didn't feel mad. She couldn't be mad at Sweetie Belle as she didn't mean any harm and was just curious.
"Rarity are you going to tell Celestia?" Sweetie Belle asked her sister. Rarity nodded and responded.
"Yes and I'll let her tell me what's inside it and I'll tell you what they found inside." Rarity said. Sweetie Belle was satisfied about that answer as she didn't ask again.
They both sat down on the bed and Rarity cuddled her sister. Rarity wanted to hold Sweetie Belle for a bit as she felt like she could've lost her. Sweetie Belle giggled as Rarity kissed her on the cheek and snuggle her. Rarity sighed as she felt her sister was safe and in her arms.
Rarity laid her head back against the pillow while hugging Sweetie Belle from behind. Sweetie Belle smiled innocently as Rarity kissed the back of her head. Rarity wanted to hug Sweetie Belle as she was scared by Sweetie Belle today. She felt as if she would have lost Sweetie Belle. She wanted to keep hugging her to know that she was safe.
Rarity sighed as she was so glad that Sweetie Belle was safe. She smiled at her sister who just laid in Rarity's embrace. Rarity knew that they weren't going to lay there all day so she waited for a moment and then after that. She stood up and Sweetie Belle got up and they both went into the living room and they both hung out and talked to eachother.
Rarity was glad that Sweetie Belle was safe. Rarity sent the report to Celestia about the cave and she sent an expedition to search through it. When Celestia got the report about the cave she told Sweetie Belle about what was inside. She reported about all the ancient inscriptions and how old they were. She also reported about when they thought the cave was formed which from their discoveries the cave was formed a few thousand years ago.
Sweetie Belle was happy about that answer. She thanked Celestia and Rarity thanked Celestia. Sweetie Belle went to school the next day and told her friends all about what she found. They thought it was cool. Sweetie Belle then went off and played with her friends and enjoyed the day.
