Stay down!

"Big" Al. That's what everybody called him. He knew it was a nickname, but Al was never really his name. His real name was actually Jeff. Yeah, go figure. His five friends from elementary school gave him that nickname after seeing someone named Big Al on TV and joking that if he didn't stop growing that he might be as big as Big Al and it died out shortly afterwards. Once he didn't stop growing though, the old nickname resurfaced and unlike last time, it stuck around.

It was also shortly after he got his nickname, about midway through middle school, or junior high for those of you who aren't American or know what middle school is, that he got introduced to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic when he had to babysit his little sister despite her being 6 at the time. Despite the highly childish and very clearly girly themed characters, he found it amusing and interesting to watch. When he realized the marathon that his parents was almost over and his sister had fallen asleep at some point along the way he knew he had to find the fandom for it and join their ranks.

His friends were ok with it as long as he didn't try to get them to watch it a whole lot. His parents... they did not approve at all. They tried to get him to go to a psychiatrist, but the shrink just laughed at them and said to deal with it themselves. So they decided to ignore him and everything that he did about being a "brony". Well that didn't stop Jeff from liking MLP. Instead, it helped him find a family away from his real family. A family that actually cared. A family... That accepted him...

That is, until the day he met that weird merchant... That day, everything changed... And so, for better or for worse, he is now trapped in Equestria. I am Blackdust, and I shall be telling my savior's story.
