Chapters The Nine to Free Them All
We were walking down the street talking discreetly about what-if things when suddenly there was a bright flash and an old man appeared out of nowhere. We stared at him for i don't know how long, but one thing was racing through all of our minds at that moment. What if- But that thought was immediately banished when he staggered and fell. Without a moment's hesitation we ran over to help. When we got to him Johnny (he was 5'10' with brown-hair and blue eyes. He was the strongest and most loyal of the nine) ran over and started to check for injuries when the old man suddenly spoke.
"There is *wheeze* no life *wheeze* left in me *wheeze*". He then looked into all of our eyes as if looking into our memories.
There was sad silence until he spoke again.
"But there is still life *wheeze* that you can save *wheeze*. I ask of you to *wheeze* help and guide the land from which I hail, *wheeze* Equestria ", he rasped. We all looked at each other in shocked silence. After several minutes we stepped away from the old man who looked oddly amused. Once we were all around the corner, we practically squealed in excitement and anticipation. The nine best friends huddled together to discuss what they were to do.
Draugr (he was 5'6' with silver hair and brown eyes. He was the smartest and wittiest of the nine) was the first to speak, "If this is what we think this is we might have our chance!" he said in a hushed voice. Then Drak (he was 4'8' with light brown hair and forest green eyes full of life. He was by far the moral and clown of the nine) spoke up.
"He sounds like he's been through hell and back, ESPECIALLY if he's from Equestria" he said in a serious and monotone voice.
That's when I (I am 5'8' with black hair and startling sapphire eyes. I'm the backbone and leader of the nine) chip in. "I don't know about this but if this is a chance to go to Equestria I'm taking it" I said with confidence and excitement at the prospect of finally going to Equestria, a land of beauty and peace in more ways than one (*wink* *wink*).
"Jasper's right, this is everything we've dreamed of. So I say if Jasper goes, I go." Johnny said with authority.
The 4 others, Lemur (he was 4'9' with gold hair and teal eyes. He was the assassin and quiet one of the nine), Ragr (he was 5'0' with black hair and hazel eyes. He has the most survival and military experience of the nine),Crocker(he was 5'5' with dark brown hair and crazy brown eyes. He was our eyes and ears or spy),and the twins Cryo and Crisis (they were both 5'4' with blonde hair and sky blue eyes. they were the grunts of the nine) all nodded in agreement.
"So we're all in agreement?" I asked, to which everyone nodded. "Then we all go to Equestria!"
"YEAH! " And so we all went back to the old man with our decision.
"We have all discussed our options and we would like to go to Equestria" I stated. He simply smiled up at them and begun to raise his hands, when I suddenly remembered something.
"What's your name?" I asked with an inkling of who this was.
He smiled mischievously and said "Starswirl. Starswirl The Bearded." Eyes widened and jaws dropped before a bright flash and the nine best friends were sent to Equestria, leaving Starswirl on his deathbed.
"Good tidings to you, the nine ring wraiths" Starswirl muttered before he died.

The first thing I saw when I came to was a thick canopy of trees. As soon as I remembered what happened the previous night, I scrambled to my feet to look around. I saw several cloaked bodies on the ground and a lot of greenery. If I had to guess, we might be in the Everfree forest. That, or that guy was a fraud who drugged and dragged us into the forest... Gonna go with option 1 , I thought to myself. Which means we are most definitely in Equestria. I should wake the other guys up before I look around. I thought.
"Wake up!" I rasped, but not only did it come out a different voice but I could have sworn I spoke a different language. "Wake up Johnny! Get up Draugr- I need your wisdom. Ragr we need to plan our next move." Again in a raspy ice cold voice and a different language, but it seems they understood what I said and one by one they all got up and looked around.
"So this is the Everfree, right?" Draugr asked, but, like me, stood rigid when he realized his voice and his native language had changed.
"What the hell?!" Johnny yelled while looking at the others. It was then that I realized that we all wore cloaks of black, and under that, steel armor. We all exchanged glances before I found the answer to our unstated question.
"Guys, I think we've been transformed" I said bluntly.
"No shit sherlock. Our old bodies must not have been compatible with this multiverse. But what exactly are we?" Draugr asked matter of factly. We looked at each other when Lemur spoke up.
"Y'know we look oddly like the dead guys from Lord Of The Rings". We all murmured in agreement at this new revelation.
"That would explain the voices and the new language as native Mordor. But if we are Nazgul then that must mean we are technically wraiths right?" Draugr chipped in.
"Oh god-I can already imagine what Celestia is gonna do to us." Drak said humorously. I swear he is a more serious version of Pinkie Pie. I thought, as I rolled my eyes.
"In which case we're gonna need to stick to the shadows until we are proven innocent." Ragr said, tactically.
"You're right we need to prove ourselves to the princesses since we no doubt hold an immense amount of dark and foreign magic." I said with authority.
"Wait. If we're THE nine Nazgul, which one of us is the Witch King?" Lemur asked. Everyone took glances at each other before all heads turned to me.
"WHAT?! You can't seriously be saying I am the Witch King of Angmar?" I asked, flabbergasted Does this mean I am more powerful than Gandalf the White?
"Well, it makes sense since we look to you as our leader. Why just look it, when you can be it." Johnny said reassuringly.
"I'd follow you to hell and back, not only as a friend, but as a brother in arms" Ragr said.
"Indeed, I would help you every step of the way" Draugr said.
"You're damn right! I'd trust no-one else to lead us but you" Johnny said as he stepped forward. "I will follow you with my strength."
Draugr stepped forward "and my wit"
Drak stepped forward "and my humor" he said with a chuckle
Ragr stepped forward "and my strategy"
Lemur strided forward silently "and my silence" pfft... show off , I thought.
Cryo and Crisis stepped forward "and our support"
Last to step forward was Crocker (oh so paranoid one , I thought) "and my prying ears"
I was both stunned and touched by the cliche of a scene in front of me. I guess they're right, I've never let them down in the past. "I will lead you till my last breath then." I said solemnly. We all nodded in agreement. "So down to business. Our first step should be to find out what segment of the timeline we're"-I was cut short by a distant mad cackle of laughter that was unmistakably from Nightmare Moon.
"Well that seems to answer that question." Drak quipped.
"If that was Nightmare Moon at Ponyville, that means she'll be heading towards the castle." Draugr said in a rush.
"Which means this might be our only chance for a while to make ourselves scarce." Ragr added in Shit, that means we don't have alot of time to chat. I thought.
"Then we need to make our move NOW!" I ordered. We started running towards the castle of the two royal pony sisters.

INSIDE THE CASTLE
P.O.V Princess Celestia
I had just returned from being trapped and addresed my student before moving to address my dear sister, Luna. Luna stired and stood up, but before she could take a step, I watched in horror as my little sister collapsed and bled on the floor.
"LUNA!!" I screamed. I was NOT going to lose my sister again! I rushed over to her and held her in my forehooves while I checked for the source of the bleeding. I noticed two large bruises on her head and a somewhat shallow gash on her hoof as well as some insignificant scratches and bruises. These were signs of battle, but by what? Surely Twilight and her friends could not have done this. So what did this to my sister? I felt anger at whatever creature did this. I turned to Twilight and spoke with angry tears in my eyes.
"What did this to her?!" I demanded from Twilight. She seemed to shiver at the memory, but then the floodgates opened. The mares began to franticly explain what happened
"There were these nine meany looking guys with crazy big swords and-" Pinkie was cut by Rainbow Dash.
"They came out of nowhere and they attacked Nightmare and-" Rainbow Dash was cut off by Rarity.
"Why in equestria would they be wearing those atrochous cloaks and that magnifiscent steel like that?!" Rarity complained. I was getting frustrated by this bickering. I needed an explanation now.
"QUIET!!" I hate yelling like that, but I need answers. I turned to the orange mare named Applejack. "Please honest Applejack explain what you saw." I asked with my most sincere motherly voice.
"Ahm no royal guard, but them fellers were warriors if their fighting style was anythin ta go by." Applejack said in her southern drawl. So these mysterious beings are warriors and they bested Nightmare Moon when I could not. Which makes them more powerful than me or Luna. This is a danger I cant ignore. I thought. But my train of thought was interupted by Twilight speaking up.
"Princess, theres one thing that bugs me. During the fighting they took little to no interest in us, except for when it puched Nightmare in the head to stop her from shooting a spell at us." I was very intrigued by this revelation. Could these creatures be possibly good? Maybe they were trying to help? I dont know. I need a cake! I groaned.
"Generous Rarity, tell me what they looked like." I asked in a soft, motherly voice. She nodded and said,
"Those brutes wore tattered and ripped black cloaks and ,from what I saw, they wore steel gauntlets and boots, seeing as they're bipedal. But what got me the most was they're hoods. I felt like I was face to face with the Grim Reaper." She said with a shiver. Whatever they were they where not natural if they gave off that aura.
"Not to mention their screeches. They were horrible!" The golden pegasus wailed. "I remember curling up into a ball and felt like hiding from life itself." As she started crying I put a wing over her to comfort her.
"Princess, what were those things?" I heard Twilight ask.
"I honestly dont know, but when I get my hooves on one we are going to have a serious talk." I stated coldly. These creatures might be good but are trying to remain neutral and I need to find out why. I just then remembered my sister needed help and so we departed from the castle immediately.
Back to our wannabe heros in the mountains...
We have been travelling for a good while to an inn just before the mountain pass. We were coming over the crest of the hill when we heard a feminine shriek of terror. Being the cliche knights in shining armor we are we snapped our heads towards a ruined castle buit on the mountain side.
"Unbelieveable. Its the ruins of Minas Morgul!"
"How the hell is that here?!"
"I dont know, but we should reclaim it and make it our lair as it was in our bodies past."
We where snapped out of our daze by yelp of pain. We immediately dropped everything and disaperated and what we saw made our (If we have any) blood boil.
A golden pegasus wearing a pith helmet, which was unmistakably Daring Doo, was being restrained by a band of wild cats. One paricular lioness was stalking forward until she punched Daring in the face. I needed to end this quick before anything else happened ~~and my story banned~~. Surround them! None of them hesitated as we encircled our prey.
"You'll never get away with this Alhrezotol! This ruin will be your doom!" She yelled as she squirmed, but through her extensive expierience in the field she saw our movements in the shadows. She saw us.
I know. Lets hope shes not as stupid as she is ignorant.
"Ah, but this ruin will not be my doom, it will be YOURS!" The abnormaly sized ape-like dog named Alhrezotol maniacly laughed. Then a brilliant idea came to me.
"Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
They all shat themselves but we did not laugh. We still needed to deal with them before we start with celebrations. They were looking around franticaly for the source of my voice. I had a feeling Daring knew exactly what was going to happen because was attempting to escape while they're backs were turned.
The sounds of steel being unsheathed echoed all around the room as we strode out of the shadows, completely surrounding our foes. "Prepare to DIE!!" and we all lunged forward into battle.
P.O.V Daring Doo
I was watching as the dark bipedal figures surrounded us in the shadows, a development that went unnoticed by my arch-nemesis, Alhrezotol. This was too good of an opportunity to waste so I stood docile while the figures were stiff as a board. I dont know who these guys are but ill take it as a means to escape. But that was before I heard a cold, raspy, voice resite what sounded like a poem.
Needless to say everyone shat themselves except me, though I was still rocked to the core by the cryptic poem. And then the panic set in everyone was frantic, but I kept my cool and tried to break my bonds that were holding me down. After a few attempts at trying I gave up and started looking around until my eyes found one of the dark figures in the shadows. Then the sound of swords unsheathing could be heard as the figures started moving forward in long strides. My eyes widdened as I saw what these figures looked like. Tall, cloaked bipedal with steel boots and steel gauntlets holding a magnificent longsword in front of them.
As soon as they got close enough they lunged. One biped cut the leg of a leopard and proceded to stab its heart when it fell. Another biped sent a kick into the face of a jaguar and sent it sprawling across the floor with a broken skull, Dead. A different biped made a downwards slash and cut through a lionesses chest, effectively killing it, while its friend pounced on the biped, only to have its head cut off by another biped. How many of these guys were there? That thought was cut off by Alhrezotol.
"RUN! GHOSTS!!" He screamed like a girl as he ran away with his lakies. I couldnt help myself but laugh at him until I noticed I was still bound and surrounded by these creatures. I gave a defeated sigh. I had no advantage and no way to escape. These things are going to kill me.
"Congrats. You got me, the great Daring Doo." I admitted defeat, waiting for my judgment.

P.O.V OUR WANNABE HEROS
Daring was right in front of us at our mercy. What should we do?
I think it would be foolish to let her go squabbling back to the princesses.
I agree we must remain scarce.
We could give her a choice. Crocker suggested
This peaked my interest. What do you suggest?
I suggest that we give her the choice of living here in peace or going back to her media driven home.
He has a very good point. We are not monsters, so we will not keep her against her will. But if we let her go back we could give her an exception.
And what would that exception be?
To include all of this in her next book.

And so with our decision we surrounded the laughing Daring. She quickly stopped and looked around for escape only to come up short hooved. She let out a sad sigh and said,
"Congrats. You got me, the great Daring Doo." with a heavy sigh and some tears in her eyes. I felt a knot in my stomach and a pang of guilt at the sight.
"Do not fret little pony, you have yet to die and we will not be the bringers of your death. But know this, our doors are always open to you if you want to get away from your fame or fortune to pursue your passion. We give you a choice. You can live here in Minas Morgul or you could go home to the media, with the exception that you write a book involving what happened here today." I said in a fatherly tone. But she looked at me incredulously.
"Why would you want to be in my next book?" she asked with suspicion.
"We need to clear our names with the princesses. But we need help, can you do that for us?" I asked. Daring looked deep in thought for a moment before looking back at me and said,
"That depends on what you did to irk the princesses." she said with the same suspicious tone as before.
"We havent exactly met but that wont stop Celestia from sending us to tartarus for power and looks alone." I stated knowing that she knows this is true about Celestia, she can be too quick to judge. Again Daring slipped into deep thought and then spoke up,
"Can I think about this offer? Im not sure if I trust you guys yet." She managed to say before we cut her binds and she fell to the stone floor. I helped her up and said,
"Take all the time you need but if your going to right your book tell the truth and tell them we are not villains." I pleaded.
"O-ok, I guess I could." Good. Now we can stay here and rebuild. "By the way, what are you?" I took a step forward.
"We are the nine Nazgül or wraiths." Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "If you choose to stay with us you would be under the best protection in the world." I added in.
"W-well thanks for freeing me and letting me live but I'm gonna go back to my home and ill think about your offer. Again thank you." She said calmly and started trotting away.
Once she was out of sight I turned to the others and said, Time to get to work. Lemur I need you to tail Luna so that we can keep an eye on her, Im worried about her. And Crocker I want you to gather info in ponyville about anything, anything important.
oooooooo! Do I hear a crush? Drak mocked.
*sigh* Im not dealing with with you right now, we need to get to work on rebuilding Minas Morgul to its former glory. And so we began our work to build our new home.
2 Weeks Later
Minas Morgul is looking better than ever I told everyone. Where there used to be cracks and chips in the stone and broken towers were now flawlessly built stone archways and streets with rebuilt towers along the outer walls. All was normal, Lemur and Crocker report back to me every week and everyone was working on building homes. My musings were cut short by Cryo running up to me with a letter in his hand.
"A letter from Daring Doo" He wheezed
Rest while I take this letter. He weakly nods and walks off
I open the letter and start to read:
Dear Nazgül,
I have given a lot of thought upon your offer and I graciously accept and will be arriving in a week to move in. I am about to finish my new book, and as promised, included Minas Morgul in it. Let's hope it has the desired effect that you so longingly want, I mean what kind of wraith are you? The good kind? I hope you arent fooling me because then you would be the first villain to get this far. Anyways, see you in a week!

*snort*Villain. I am excited to see our first LIVING resident in a week if nothing arises- That thought was immediatatly put to a halt when Crocker came sprinting up to me.
"My leige! There is talk of attack in the back alleys and bars. Some stallions and mares in midnight blue cloaks were talking about escape routes in the castle and where the princesses were to be, and there was more talk about one in particular. Princess Luna's return has seemingly off-put this lot and are going to go to extreme lengths to kill Celestia. Further inquiry led me to the upcoming gala in 3 days." Oh no. No no no. I started panicking. If there was going to be an attack during the Grand Galloping Gala, that means everyone is going to be there! Twilight and her friends, Luna, Celestia, possibly Cadence, possibly Shining Armor, and, lets not forget, Blueballs ! (I know its not his name but he doesnt deserve my respect. ) For the first time in a long time, I was concerned. I was concerned about the Mane 6 and Celestia, but most of all, Luna. She seemed to be the main target of this attack, and ill be damned if I'm gonna let her slip into these guys' clutches just like that!
NAZGÜL TO THE MAIN CHAMBER!! Everyone went sprinting into the main chamber, which had 9 elevated thrones in a circle like in Dol Guldur and old Middle-Earth paintings lining the walls and the ceiling was a map of Middle-Earth. We each sat upon our thrones, mine being higher than the rest, and we started discussing our plan of action.
News bends my ears to beleive that there will be an attack in Canterlot at the Gala. Everyone was slightly shocked to hear this and began thinking solutions. Except Drak....
*snicker* At the Gala *snicker* Crisis looked over at him disapprovingly.
Do I need to swat you again?
No ma'am! He got swatted in the back of the head by a torch stand.
Would it be a possibility to warn them? He asked hopefully.
Not a chance. No way, no how.
Then perhaps we should intervine?
Yes perhaps. But its very risky. If Celestia gets to us before we get to them we are gonna be in a world'o'shit.
If it comes to that we can parley, but we need to get involved.
We need a plan of action. What do you propose we do, my liege?
We do overwatch until we are needed. Now there isnt a moment to lose. We make for Canterlot! Everybody got up and left the room. We were able to catch 9 wild Stag. So we enchanted them to each of our will and gave them black fur with blood red eyes to match our style. Each one of us got on our Stag and departed for Canterlot.

Outskirts of the Everfree forest, 5 hours to the Gala
P.O.V OUR WANNABE HEROS
We were just in the outskirts of the Everfree looking at Canterlot. From this angle you would have never guessed there would be an attack on the Gala ~~and a certain wedding in 6 weeks time~~ at this angle. We should be going now, we only have so much time. Lets get moving, we've got 5 hours. Everbody got up and we begun.
I was the first to disaperate into Canterlot and appear in an alley. A lone guard was passing by. He is about to pass the corner. Okay....were.....good. Get over here. I thought as he rounded the corner. They took no time in aperating right next to me. We made our way quickly through the streets of Canterlot and up to the castle. Our original plan was to infiltrate through the garden, through Celestia's room, into the ball room, and wait in the shadows. That is until we realized that Celestia's balcony doors were enchanted. Shit. We needed to get in a different way or....
Stand back. The others did as they were told and took several steps back. I raised my hands up and spoke "Open" in Mordor. The effect was instantaneous. The doors swung open and we poured in quickly and shut the doors behind us to the balcony. We quietly prowled the halls slipping in and out of door archways as we kept moving along the walls, every once in a while waiting for the acasional guard to pass. We continued our way until a guard just so happens to turn the corner and see us. He was about to scream to the heavens when I clamped my hand down on his muzzle and Draugr knocked his lights out. We dragged his incapacitated body into a ~~conveniently placed~~ janitor closet. We were home free untill we got to two large ornate wooden doors. This was it, the ballroom. Then out of nowhere, there were the sound of hoofsteps behind us. Shit!! Everyone whipped around and stood stock still as none other than Pinkie Pie was walking past the t-junction that we were in. She stopped, looked over at us, and just waved. What the fuck?! I hesistantly waved back, unknowing what else to do. She smiles and walks away. We all looked at eachother with the 'wtf just happened' stares. We eventually recovered from the shock and shrugged it off as just Pinkie Pie. Everyone thought it best to return to the task at hand and venture through the doors quietly. I put my hand out and pushed the doors slightly open and immediately notice that the nine of us where on the second floor overhang. Perfect! Now we dont have to worry about getting caught so easily. We quickly pushed the doors open, stepped in, and closed them behind us. Taking a look around, it looked like we were to the left of were Celestia and Twilight were. A little too close for comfort but ill take what I can get right now. We started moving around the second floor looking for a good overwatch point. I found my overwatch point, and it sounds like everyone else did too. I was sitting on a high pedestal whil the others were in the bushes and the curtains, peering out into the Gala. And now we wait...
Do you think Fleur is single? I just deadpanned in his general direction.
I got no clue, but if she is, she's all yours buddy. I got my eyes set on someone else who we've already met.
Its always the quiet ones.
And who the hell do you got your sights on mister?
No-one yet. Did you guys notice that Draugr is staring at Celestia?
How the hell do you see me?! We all burst out laughing mentally. Come on guys, I can crush cant I?
No offense but you are way outta Celestia's league.
Now now, he can give it a go once we get out of the shadows. This reasured Draugr.
Thanks boss!
Your welcome. Now shut up and look out. And so the minutes went by. We watched as Celestia greeted all the guests and Twilight leaving. All was well. Too well. What was supposed to happen? Is anyone missing? Then it hit me. LUNA! Everyone clicked into action and stealthily entered the hallways again, but we were separated. Me and Johnny, Draugr and Ragr, Drak and Lemur, and Crocker, Cryo, and Crisis. Me and Johnny sprinted down the halls looking for Luna's room. Where the hell is Luna's room!? It also sounded like the others were having worse luck with guards, which meant we were close. We turned the corner and we were met with a giant set of midnight blue doors, which were ajar. There was talking going on inside, so we pressed up and listened...
"... you shall no longer hide our true empress of the night!" We heard a mysterious male say. Then we heard muffled screams on the other side of the door and I went apeshit. If they want Nightmare Moon back, they're gonna have to kill me! And thats impossible! With a screech, we burst through the doors....
The others
We all heard a Nazgül screech and started running towards it when we heard screaming from the ball room.
"Jasper and Johnny can handle it, but we need to help the others!" Everyone followed his lead to the ball room....
Celestia
I heard a deafening screech from the Lunar section of the castle.
"Its them they're here!" Twilight screamed and I knew exactly who she was talking about. It then snapped to my attention that the screech came from the direction of...
"LUNA!! " I was about to teleport when I was bashed in the head and something big slipped onto my horn.
"The night shall rule forever!" The mysterious assailant said and I started hearing screaming....

P.O.V Draugr
C'mon! C'mon! Faster! We were going top speed down the hallways, swords drawn. I didnt care if were spotted by guards anymore, we got people-*cough* - pony's to save! There was more screaming coming from down the halls from us. We followed it back to the ornate wooden doors. This time we shoulder charged through the doors, knocking a fake guard over the banister. How do I know its a fake? Because they all had looks of glee, some even where maniacly laughing. And so the battle BEGAN!
Princess Celestia-5 minutes pre-battle
I stared at MY OWN guards that where holding us hostage. I was livid . I have been betrayed so that my sister can unwillingly rule all of equestria with an iron fist? This was sickening. The elements are sitting right next to me, bound and gagged like I am. The leader was up on the banaster watching us as we struggled and the guards hitting the nobles. He was wearing a sadistic grin, that was, until several robed bipedals bashed him and he fell over the rail. I was curious about who these bipeds were. They aren't Diamond Dogs, no. Too tall to be Diamond Dogs. Perhaps they are a distant relative? Never the less, these creatures must be the ones that attacked Lun-Nightmare, these creatures are exactly like the ones I saw in Twilights memories. And so with the death of the leader, the fighting began.
In Princess Luna's chambers The place where the magic happens
P.O.V Jasper
We kicked in the door and saw a black pony with a gray mane holding a knife to Luna's throat. I raised my sword so that it was eye level and began to encircle my prey. I could faintly hear Johnny fighting the goons through my rage.
"G-get b-back i-im w-w-warning you!" The captor said while holding the knife closer to Luna's throat. He looked terrified, as did Luna. I did not relent because I knew he wouldn't dare. I continued forward in long, slow, strides. He was shaking so much he didnt even notice the humongus shadow of Johnny behind him. Johnny slowly and carefully raised his sword in a downward stab above the captors head.
"You should have never come here, rebel. These ponys are under the care of the Nazgül whether they accept it or not. You are already facing extreme punishments, but you can still redeem yourself by stopping and turning yourself in." He just laughed at my proposal and pushed the knife closer to the midnight blue alicorns throat.
"You'll all be dead before you leave here!" He looked completly insane at this point. He knew he was dead, and yet still fought. A pity I couldnt save him. And with that, Johnny took his cue and plunged the sword through the captors head.
"Too bad im already dead." I said coldly. As Johnny pulled his sword out of the rebels brain, I took to taking care of, the now fainted, Luna. She looked as beautiful as ever with her pristine midnight blue coat and her starry night mane. I gently picked her up and set her down on the bed next to us. Me and Johnny exchanged glances and nodded. Were done here. The both of us walked out of the chambers with a new purpose, to protect Luna and everyone else from harm.
As we walked out of Lunas' chambers and down the hallways, we heard screaming and fighting from the ballroom.Oh shit! We broke into a full sprint towards the ballroom.
Meanwhile in the ballroom...
P.O.V Draugr
We charged into battle, starting with me grabbing a fake guard and impaling him on my sword. Everyone else was fighting like rabid badgers. A guard surprisingly stabbed Ragr, but his moment of triumph was over when Ragr thrust his sword into his face. Crocker just finished off a guard and was removing his corpse from the end of his blade. Cryo and Crisis just decapitated a guard and started a double duel of whirling blades with two more guards. Lemur and Drak were fighting a massive earth pony and were swiping at his legs, trying to gain an advantage. I was dueling a unicorn stallion who was good, but I was better. I dispatched him with a quick slice at his neck, cutting it open and him dead. I was about to engage in another duel when I saw them, the hostages. The Elements of Harmony and Princess Celestia along with several other ponies, were bound and crying for help, at least the ones that could talk. I quickly ran over to the far wall where they were, on the way killing a couple of guards. When I finally reached them, they were trying to back away in fear of what I was going to do to them. I went over to Celestia first and cut away her bonds, but as soon as I was done with that, she removed the silver ring from her horn and threw me against the wall with her magic. As I struggled to move my head towards her, I made eye contact with her and saw so much anger in those beautiful pools of magenta.
"Why are you here!? Why are you killing my little ponies?! Talk!" She started squeezing my body in her magic.
"All will be explained soon, but if you care about these ponies lives-" I pointed at the hostages."-then you must do as we say. Yes?"
"Why. Are. You. Here!?" She yelled at me. As much as I dont want to lie to her, I wasnt gonna give her shit until Darings' book came out.
"A tip-off that there would be a coup during the gala. We came to help. End of story." I said with all the finality. She looked even more furious at my answer than before.
"Why did you hurt Luna!?"
"We didnt. We hurt Nightmare Moon." She looked a little less angry with my answer. She opened her maw for another question, but was stopped when a Nazgül sword was at her neck.
"Drop. Him." Jasper commanded. Celestia complied and set me down. "Now if we are all going to leave here alive, we are gonna need your cooperation." Celestia nodded slowly. "Good. Now lets get these ponies out of the way." Me, Celestia, Jasper, and Johnny started cutting all of them free and directing them out of the castle. As soon as that was done, we went back to the battle. The only problem was that the battle was over and bodies upon bodies of fake or traitor guards littered the ground. The other Nazgül were checking for survivors, like sifting through rubble after a bomb explosion. I looked back and saw Celestia was crying her eyes out, probably from all the death that was around. I dont know what hit me then, but I went over and started petting her head and when she looked up at me, she latched onto my torso and started crying into my chest. At first I was hesitant, but she needed my comfort and so I began petting her head again. Eventually she cried herself to sleep. I didn't want her to wake up around so much death, so I carried her over to her throne and placed her down. The others were giving Celestia sympathetic looks.
After 10 more minutes of looking for survivors we stopped and disaperated back to Minas Morgul, the snaps waking Celestia up.
Outside in the anarchy
P.O.V Twilight
"Oh! I hope Princess Celestia is alright." I whimpered. We were all forced to watch the battle unfold. Those creatures we saw before were ripping the traitors apart, leaving none to survive.
"Dont worry Twi. If those stupid creatures so much as scratch the Princess, they'll have wished they never came here!" Rainbow Dash yelled with some bravery. She was shaking like no tomorrow when the creatures came up to Princess Celestia.
"Dash is right, dont worry Twi. The Princess knows how to defend herself." Applejack reassured with a sympathetic smile.
"I know, but she is with creatures that are more skilled than Nightmare! They could turn around and eat her soul for all we know." I cried in distress.
There was silence and silent prayers that the Princesses were alright.

SNAP! I just appeared in the main throne room of the keep. I knew that if this was to become a standing community, then we will need to record all of our battles and events. *sigh* Better start recording if thats the case.
SNAP! SNAP! SNAP! The others aperated in behind me. Good. I need to give out orders now. Okay boys, I want everyone working on something. We need soldiers to protect our citizens, so thats where we'll start. Cryo! Crisis! You two got the most kills tonight! Congratulations, you get to record tonights events in the archives! They both groaned in response and made their way down to the archives on the lower levels of Minas Morgul. Everyone else began to search for a way to raise an army other than slavery.
After some hours, I was sitting on my throne reading some books we managed to pillage from the deep vaults inside the mountain Minas Morgul was built on. Surprisingly, there was a mix of Equestrian and Mordor knowledge inside as well as some Easterlings of Rhun looking armor, except it was silver and wore something similar to the Nazgül cloaks. It was all very interesting, apparently this places' predecessor was going to use those armor racks for something. The book I was reading was about the three pony tribes. It was so peaceful until a familiar voice boomed through the halls, "IVE DONE IT! I FIGURED IT OUT!" To say I was startled was understatement. I fell out of my seat and faceplanted onto the hard marble floor. I groaned and got up, and everyone burst into the room and hurried to my aid. Except Drak and Draugr, one was full of excitement, and the other of pure shock.
"Well ho-ly shit! He figured out how to get laid! Finally!" Draugr shifted from excited to disgusted.
"You. Are. Disgusting"
"Is there a reason for your little outburst?" I was annoyed by the interuption, but I felt better knowing that my Nazgül are on to something.
"Y-yes, your highness. I have found a way to make an army!" I wonder how he did this in a mere day.
"Okay, and?" At that moment a figure, donned in silver Rhun armor entered the chamber and knelt before me.
Everyone was gathered in front of me in the vaults, waiting for the ritual to begin. In front of me sat several pieces of that same armor. I thought about how to do this. How can one make an army of armor? I guess lets start with the obvious. I rose my hands and spoke "copy" in Mordor. The armor started to multiply to the number I wanted. After about half an hour, the armor stopped multiplying at the exact number I wanted, 5,000. Everyone was practically squealing with excitement, I mean, we are going to be a new nation with this peacekeeping army. I then focus ALL of my power into this next spell. I raised my hands again and spoke "reanimate" in Mordor. The affect was jaw dropping. A sea of dark magic exploded from my hands and swept over all of the armor. Unfortunately it caused me to fall backwards due to the amount of magic put into that spell. Johnny and Ragr jumped to my side and helped me up, but they werent the only ones either. All of the soldiers I just created rushed to my aide, creating a huge crowd of 5,000 around me.
"Soldiers!" All heads turned to me. "Your first orders are to defend Minas Morgul and its inhabitants! You may also start building anti-seige equipment and defences on the walls! Start the forges! Stoke the fires! We are going to war, no doubt about it. But are we going to lie down and die? NO! We shall defend our people and destroy our enemys if we have to! Now you have your orders! DISMISSED!" All the soldiers turned 180 degrees to the right and started quick marching into Minas Morgul. We made our back to the throne room. On the way, I could see the new guards taking positions on the walls and raising the gate (which has been open the entire time we were here). When we got to the throne room, there were guards everywhere. There was at least one on every corner and 8 inside the throne room itself. We ignored this and went to our respective thrones, where we began our new topic of discussion.
"A kingdom must have a name. So, does anyone have any ideas?"
"The shadow of Everfree doesn't fit well."
"We could use our own race name."
"Nah, that just sounds stupid."
"I propose that we call ourselves Angmar, in honor of our king."
"Thats a thought, but can we really use a name already given?"
"I think it a great idea, King of Angmar."
"Second that!"
"HOI!"
"Motion carried!"
"Very well then, we call ourselves The Kingdom of Angmar."
"HUZZAH!"
"Now onto much more serious matters." I said as put my fingertips together in a business like manner. "How shall the new Kingdom unveil itself?" This question caused some murmuring amongst each other.
"We could counter-attack at the wedding."
"What about the timeline? Dont you think it will damage the timeline?"
"The timeline is already fucked. We were never supposed to exist in the timeline and not to mention an unforseen attack on the gala." Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Then its settled, we reveal ourselves in the counter-attack."
"10 gold pieces says Darings gonna kick his balls for the gala." Drak whispered to Johnny.
"20 gold pieces says shes gonna buck him in the gut." Johnny whispered back to Drak.
"Your on." And then they shook on it.
"There is still the matter of Daring Doo, soon to be our newest member of the Kingdom."
"Ah yes, she is going to get here in about 2 days. I dont see anything further to discuss. As you were gentlemen." Everyone got up from their seats and went about to help the community grow. I pulled Crocker and Lemur aside before they could leave. "Keep your eyes and ears PEELED. Lemur, im moving you to WATCH Cadence. It is of the utmost importance to not interfere. Crocker, im moving you to Canterlot to listen in on anything important. Dismissed." They gave me a salute and went off to do their jobs. "Get ready Chrysalis, cuz were gonna rock your world." I whispered to no-one.

Ohmygosh!Ohmygosh!Ohmygosh! The new Daring Doo book just came out and I got the first copy! I cant believe it! I shoot threw the door to my house and went to my room to read my new book. I sat down with Daring Doo: And the Shadows of Minas Morgul and started reading. I hope theres alot of action like the last one! I read through the beginning where Daring Doo found a tip that there was a growing power in the ruins of Minas Morgul, the undead city. She then goes directly to the city where the sentry towers and gates are broken and gloomy. But when she gets to, what looked like, the main throne room, Alhrezotol attacks Daring Doo and ties her up. (Suffice it to say we all know what happens next) Then the unbelievable happens. Those same no-good rotten creatures from the gala send Alhrezotol packing and help Daring Doo. I couldn't believe my eyes, Daring Doo was considering an offer from the "Nazgül "?! The end was Daring Doo signing a letter to the Nazgül saying she accepted their offer. What happened next could only be explained as a 7.0 earthquake.

Well that was some earthquake right there. I wonder what happened? Eh, we can figure that out later. I want to read my book about Middle-Earths wars.
An hour has passed and I have begun walking around my city. As I passed, I saw some guards forging spears and shields in the massive forges in the eastern part of the city. There were also some guards building scorpions and trebuchets on the walls, which will come in handy during an attempted siege. Shadow guards were also aiding in the rebuilding efforts and hunting, if we ever get a meat eating species. Once we start to get a steady flow of immigrants, we will need more food for the people. Late last night we talked about what species are aloud in. In the end, the argument "Help comes to those who need it " won and thus we shall accept anybody who needs help, though we will take precautions for species like changelings and griffons. As I was walking past the European-style houses, I heard a commotion at the gates. This cant be good. I thought to myself. I strolled down the street, admiring the newly planted birch trees, until I came to the gate. Then I heard a familiar voice shouting at the gate guards.
"I dont know who you bozos are, but im here to see your boss!" It didnt take a Draugr to figure out that that voice belonged to the infamous Daring Doo.
"Well well well, is that an archeologist I hear?" I ask in a mock tone. When I came into view on the ramparts, she scowled at me.
"Yea yea yea, I'm here now, bone head. Let me in already! This stuff aint light!" She says in a strained tone. I can visibly see the fatigue on her body, strained muscles, profusely sweating, and enflamed hooves. I signal the guards to let her in and to help her with her stuff, goodness knows how long she has traveled like this. The gate slowly opens. First to lower was the bridge, then opened the steel brace, and finally the 5-foot thick, solid iron doors opened revealing a platoon of guards that walked out and unloaded Darings wagon.
"You will be bunking in one of the newly built houses up the road, number 14. The guards will take your things up to the house, so just follow them and you should be good." I pointed up the road towards the corner house. "Just make sure you tone it down when heat season comes, alright?" She flushes red at my assumption but nods. I let her get settled into her new home while I walked down the lane. I continued on my sight seeing which ended up with me on the eastern wall overlooking the Everfree. I looked out towards the horizon where the sun is setting. It felt lonely with no-one around, no-one to keep you company all the time. Just me and my thoughts. *sigh* This upcoming wedding crashing is going to be a political nightmare. While looking out over the Everfree I noticed a faint rustling, and out came the last thing I wanted to see. A convoy of griffons and ponies were being chased by masked bandits with iron weapons.
"YOU ROYAL GUARDS, GET OVER HEAR NOW!!" As soon as my booming voice caught the attention of the convoy, they bolted for the gates, not caring who this settlement belonged to. Seeing this, I ran as fast as I could to the gates. "GUARDS TO ME!! GUARDS TO ME!!" A platoon of Shadow guard formed up at the gates in a standard column formation. I quickly got to the front and signaled to open the gates, which started opening slowly. As soon as the gates were open, I lead the charge out to meet the bandits. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Draugr and Lemur leading the archers onto the walls while everyone else were barking orders to the remaining Shadow guard. As we got closer I raised my sword and let out my screech, which in turn froze everybody except the guards and I. They didnt have enough time to brace the charge as the Shadow guard went in, pikes forward.
It turned into a bloodbath, the warriors were cutting the bandits down into ribbons. The initial charge resulted in about 15 of them being impaled on the pikes and several others were cut down by the Nazgül longswords the Shadow guard are equipped with. The battle itself didnt last, it was over in mere minutes. I discarded a corpse that I had cut down the middle and went back to the gates, guards in tow. As we were walking back I could already see the horrified faces of the convoy at the gates. I had several questions, most of which involved their governments. When we got back the ponies were banging on the door yelling "The monsters are going to kill us!" I chuckled darkly at their feeble brain processing. I walked up to them, with the guards still in tow, and engaged in diplomacy.
"So, what are Ponies, Griffons, and bandits doing in my country?" They ceased their banging and turned around. Some were panicking, some were unnerved, but the griffons in particular were looking furious and indignant.
"How dare you insult us by claiming the kings land! This land has always been part of the mighty Griffon Empire! You shall pay for defiling the kings land with your little fort, bandit!" A griffon with dark feathers said angrily. This was more amusing than Drak will ever be, so I started cackling like a mad man. The griffons looked even more furious at my display.
"You never have owned The Dead City and never will. This is our birthright and we have reclaimed it. If your king has a problem with this he can deal with me." I emphasized my point by putting a dark edge to my tone.
"Oh he will, freak!" And with that he flew off with his other griffon soldiers, abandoning the ponies to whatever fate befalls them. I was definetely going to go to war over that ALONE. I had half a mind to reenact the beginning of Mulan, but thought better than it. I turned back to the ponies, who were now quivering in fear.
"Does anyone else have a problem with my right to rule?" They hastily shook their heads. "Good, now we can move forward into diplomacy. Who is your leader?" A pure white Royal guard mare stepped forward and fixed me with a glare.
"That would be me. Who are you and what do you want from us?" She said sternly.
"We are Wraiths, and all I want from you is our secret kept safe." She looked at me incredulously.
"Really? No demands of precious goods or anything?"
"We do not seek fortune, but the safety of others. Speaking of which, do you have enough supplies to get you back to Canterlot?" She nodded. "Then get on your way, and remember keep us a secret. We can handle the griffons ourselves, we are far more versed in the ways of battle and warfare than them." The mare gave an indignant snort.
"Yeah right, no-one is more war-like than the griffons." She stated matter-of-factly. I chuckled darkly, which sent a shiver down her spine.
"We'll see." She was about to retort, but I waved to the guards to escort them out. After they were gone I went inside Minas Morgul, and the next thing I know I'm on the ground clutching where my gut was. I looked up to see Daring glowering down at me, and out of the corner of my eye, I could see Drak sourly give Johnny 20 gold pieces.
"That was for the gala." She said before she flew off and left me with the others. After regaining my composure, Ragr came over to me
Whats the situation, boss?
Were gonna have a griffon army on our doorstep sometime after the wedding.
Ill get working on the defences and-
No! We stick to the plan. Everyone! Prepare for battle, we march in three weeks!

Minas Morgul: 2 and a half weeks later
P.O.V Jasper
I was overseeing the preparations from a balcony on the keep. Everthing was going smoothly, the spears and shields were made and ready to face battle and Daring has been out and about looking for jobs to do and adventure to seek. In a couple more days we would begin the march towards Canterlot and defeat the army of changelings that dare threaten the innocents, then we will be at war on two fronts. Yes, the griffons have indeed been sending death threats and calling for me to leave and never return. It has been a stressful week with the griffons bombarding us with threats, most of which are from the nobles. I havent gotten one letter from the king, which in most cases would be worrying, but I knew griffons had more honor than to start a war without a declaration of war.
My liege?
Yes?
There are a bunch of stallions here asking for entry to, and I quote, "Look around".
Im on my way. Im extremely wary about stallions looking around my city, especially now that we are to be entering a war-time phase. I made my way down to the main gate while archers formed ranks on the walls. When I got on the ramparts, I looked down on my prey. "What are you stallions doing in my country? This is restricted area until I deem otherwise. State your business." These guys dont look friendly. There were 8 in total, two were beefy and tough, four of them were scarred and battered looking, and the last two looked pristine and snobbish.
The stallion with the white coat stepped forward. "We came regarding a letter from miss Daring Doo about financial problems." He spoke in a german accent. I could tell from the demeanor and courage that he was lying, but I thought I would humor him.
"Oh? I thought I was under the impression she is no longer an Equestrian denizen. You can leave the documents on the bridge and leave while I sort them out." I said in a laid back tone. There it was, he paled from this statement.
"Actually, it must be takin up with the client." He said nervously. I was laughing like a madman inwardly. What lies! This is hilarious!
"Well then, we can bring her up to the walls and you can sort this out." I was moving to signal a guard to find Daring when the stallion piped up again.
"Now see here, this is a confidential meeting. So we must discuss this in private." He said through gritted teeth.
"Nonsense, she is my denizen now and ill do what I think is right during this time of war. So, piss off. Ill take care of these "Financial problems." Well? Git!" I flicked my hand upwards and the archers loaded their arrows. He looked murderous, then scared.
"We'll be back soon to see if we can discuss this matter privately with Ms.Doo" He said with a fake smile and left. After he crested the hill I gave a snort of amusement and walked back to the throne room. Johnny came up beside me.
"So? Who was it? All I saw was the archers stare down someone."
" An enemy of Darings." Johnny gave a low growl that peaked my interest, but laughed my head off as I came to a conclusion. "So thats the mysterious female that has captured your heart, Daring Doo!" He glared at me which in turn made me laugh harder as we got to to the keep.
3 days later
It was time. Time for the moment we have been preparing for for the past 3 weeks. It was time for the march upon Canterlot. I, along with my fellow Nazgül stood at the gates facing the army before us. The army has grown from 5,000 to 15,000 over the 3 weeks! Lemur has reported that Cadence was attacked and sent to the mines beneath Canterlot yesterday. Crocker has yet to find any information up till now.
"Brothers! It is finally time to take the fight to the changelings! We must protect our charges and the peaceful ponies of Equestria! Forward march!" The entire army started marching forward out the gates and towards Canterlot, an endless tide of silver and black. We planned to leave 1,000 troops behind to guard the settlement and Daring. We had 3 days to get to the wedding before it was too late to help. The ripple in the timeline that we have caused will most certainly affect Chrysalis's objectives. I hope none of them are finished by the time we get there.

"So, now that all of you are trapped I can finally-hey! What do you think your doing, you little brat!?" Chrysalis screamed at Cadence who was trying to approach Shining Armor. She proceeded to slam Cadence against the opposite wall. "Dont you know when your already dead? I will kill all of you! Starting with you, Celestia!" Chrysalis yelled at me through the cocoon I was trapped in. To my surprise, she blasted the cocoon apart and I fell to floor. I was still horribly damaged from earlier during the ceremony. If what Luna told me was true, please help us Nazgül. I prayed before standing up to meet Chrysalis, which would most certainly be my death. The sight before me was terrifying to say the least. What came over the crest of the horizon was an army, an army so massive it blocked all the green of the ground under them. They marched in unison towards the Canterlot gates, and stopped 10 feet away from the walls. 9 familiar wraiths stepped out from the sea of black and silver. I turned my head to see Chrysalis's reaction, and almost burst out laughing at the dumbstruck look on her face. That all drained when I felt a familiar presence in the air, a presence I havent felt in a thousand years. Dark magic. It was nauseating how much dark magic there was out there, and Chrysalis looked terrified. No longer was she on the top seat anymore, a much larger foe has revealed itself. The nine ~~oh so famous~~ Nazgül stopped 5 feet away from the gate.
"We give you one chance and one chance only to leave this battle unscathed. You already face war with I, The Witch King of Angmar, and the Royal Sisters. It shall do you no good in shedding the blood of your children. See reason rather than kill innocents and enslave others to feed you. Do not let this cloud your morality." I looked at Chrysalis's eyes, and I saw a glimmer of.... hope? That cant be right. Then her eyes went cloudy and she spat out,
"Go to tartarus!"
"*sigh* I shall deal with you then. ATTACK!!" And the sea of black and silver charged through the broken gates and the true battle for Canterlot began...

I lead the army throught the streets, killing changelings left, right and center. Corpses rained from the skies as archers hit their marks, none missing their intended target. As we came up to a humongous cross roads, an entire battalion of changlings charged down a side street towards us.
I and my fellows let our screeches be heard as we plowed strait through them, the first casualty dealt by me slicing open a chest of a changeling. Around me I could see the battle raging on as a guard skewered a changeling and threw him against the walls of the street. Another guard deflected a sword strike delivered to below his knees and, with skill, swung his sword upwards, cutting the changeling in half. Changeling corpses started piling up as the fight was coming to a close. I thrust my sword into the neck of a changeling and guided his body to the ground, sword still wedged in his neck. As I took my sword out and glanced up, I could see the street brawl was now over and everyone was anxiously waiting for orders.
"Johnny, Crocker, and Lemur take two legions of Shadow guard and retake the main city! Everyone else, follow me to the keep!" I barked and saw 10,000 troops follow the three Nazgül to the core of Canterlot, as the rest followed me upwards toward the castle.
Any changeling that was brave enough to get in the way was blasted apart by my flame bolt spell. The castle was in sight and the defences were already wavering at the sight of us. Some of the changelings tried running away from the battle, but were met with an arrow from the core of Canterlot. Looking towards there, you could see archers lining the rooftops of the main square and the guards fighting in the square. The castle drew nearer and nearer until we blew down the front gates and started splitting up to capture more ground. Me, Ragr, Cryo, Crisis, Drak, and Draugr go our seperate ways to clear the castle. The plan was that I would obviously be the one to confront Chrysalis at the wedding ceremony while the others clean the castle and regroup at the gardens. Unfortunatley that left me with no guards left, just me against the world. They dont stand a chance.
I bluntly strut into the castle like I own the place and started down the path to the ceremony. As I turned a corner, I was met by an entire hallway full of changelings. Oh the smug looks on their faces at seeing me alone. I chuckled darkly, which unnerved the pitiful changelings. As soon as I stopped, they all charged at me, to which they were met by a torrent of fire that incinerated the entire hallway and its occupants. I continued down the charred hallway, stepping over the mounds of ash, and came upon the doors that led to the the wedding ceremony. I could here voices on the other side.
"No no no no no! This was supposed to be my best day ever! My subjects would finally feed and I would get myself a stud!" wailed Chrysalis. Oh how right you are. "There is still something that I can make happen right now. And that would be your death, Celestia!" Ive heard enough. I nonchalantly push the doors open and waltz inside, looking like a badass while im at it. I sarted it like any other rescue-barge-ins, with a slow clap and a chuckle. All heads turn to the doors to see me.
"Well well well, I pronounce you brain dead" I point at the entranced Shining Armor "And corrupted queen. Isnt that right, Queen of the Honeycomb Kingdom?" Her left eye twitched dangerously.
"Do not call me that!" She spat at me. I glowered down at her. Being the same size as Celestia, she only came up to my chest with the horn included.
"Why? Is it because you abandoned your title, like you abandoned your people! Or is it that he doesn't want you to carry that title anymore?"
"Stop it! I demand that you stop!" She screamed at me with tears in her eyes. I clasp my fingers around my throat and make a perfect mimic of past Chrysalis.
"No! Please! I can make myself more beautiful for you, my love!" I mocked, as her eyes started tearing up. I adopt a much more sinister aura "I can change for you! I can change for youuuuuu! If I cant have you as the one I love, then I will not let anyone take you away from me, not even yourself." The words seem to reverberate through Chrysalis's head until she burst into tears and collapsed on the floor, uncontrollably sobbing. Everybody except me was beyond confused at the sight before them, the evil villain thought to be without emotion was sobbing on the floor in front of them. I have long removed the magic from my voice at this point, but Chrysalis was still balling on the ground. Something in my heart started to ache at the sight. Sure, Ive had a crush on pretty much all the characters of MLP, guilty as charged, but this was something beyond the crush I had on Luna. This felt much more realistic, much closer than I had with Luna, and im not gonna give it up. She NEEDS me now more than ever, and who am I to not help a damsel in distress? I knew what I had to do now. I had to free the real Chrysalis, but the way would be painful for her. It would need me to forcefully rip the dark magic that has addled her brain. It has had far too long to seep into the deepest, darkest places of her mind, if im going to do this, it will take every ounce of strength I possess to free her mind. For her, I will do it. Even if she doesnt return my affections, it is the right thing to do.
I slid my sword back into its scabbard, much to the surprise of the ponies in the room, and walked over to Chrysalis. She attempted to raise her head but I muttered "sleep" in Mordor and she gently lowered her head onto her tear stained hooves. I was about to cast the spell to go into her mind when someone spoke up.
"um...Mr. Witch King sir, you can let the royal guard take it from here now." Cadence said bravely.
"Oh, I have no intention of handing over her to you." Everybody took a betrayed expression.
"So this is it, your master plan? Interfere in the wedding, knock out Chrysalis, and take over Canterlot. Typical." said a very PO'd Celestia.
"Wrong. I dont seek your city, I seek your safety. But you are not the only one suffering." I pointed at Chrysalis. "Now stand back! I will take care of the corrupted Insect Queen." Everybody took several steps back. I extended my hands towards Chrysalis's head. Muttering an incantation, a veil of green surrounded Chrysalis's head, allowing entry to me. As soon as my hands went into the veil, the connection to her mind was made and all was black. The first thing I noticed was a pale white, almost albino, alicorn in some sort of spotlight in the never ending darkness. As I got closer, I could see that she had elegant insect wings with a mane and tail made of pure honey. She looked beautiful, her body being pristine and whole with her cutie mark being a green heart with black ooze dripping from it while it shone in the light.
"Who are you?! Another shadow sent to taunt me for what I did? Am I not broken enough yet?! LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screamed at me, but when I stepped into the light, both myself and her were shocked at my appearance.
I was in my human form for one, this must be just my subconscious. Two, I was wearing a plain white t-shirt with a pair of navy jeans on. Three, this will make me talking to her all the easier. "Hello there. My name is Jasper, im a human who has come to save you from your imprisonment." She looked extremely happy then sad as though I had said "Just kidding!".
"Your just another trick to get my hopes up only for them to be crushed!" She managed to say before she hung her head and started weeping. "There is no way out! There will never be a way out!" she wailed as she continued crying her eyes out. I went over and started to rub the back of her neck in a soothing way.
"Where there is a light, there will always be a shadow. You are stronger than the shadow inside you, you can escape and you will live again. I promise to protect you for as long as I live. You need to believe in yourself and believe in me, this dark magic cannot leave by itself. I need you to trust me with what im about to do and you can escape this prison." She looks in my eyes, as if trying to find a lie in my words. "Trust me."
"O-okay then, I trust you. Will it be painful?" she askes fearfully.
"Yes, it will be painful but it will be worth it in the end." she looks scared but nods for me to continue. I then go back to the real world and focus in on the dark magic in her body, grasped it with my hands still inside her head, and pull with all my strength. Chrysalis's eyes shoot open and lets out an ear piercing scream of pain, but I continue to pull on the dark magic. I pull and I pull until I start to see the black string of dark magic in my grasp. The strand gets longer and longer until, finally, all of it is removed from her mind. The screaming stops the instant the last of the dark magic leaves the veil, and Chrysalis collapses onto the stone floor. The black strand in my hands starts to dissipate due to its host being gone. As I watched the dark magic dissipate, I heard gasps and turned my gaze back to Chrysalis. Chrysalis was slowly reverting back to her original form, her holes (*snort* ) started closing up, fur was growing as chitin started softening into hide, her mane and tail turning into pure honey, her horn turning from jagged to a spiral horn, and her fangs were becoming flat. After the transformation was complete, her eyes slowly opened up, scanning the room before her. She suddenly shoots up, giving the cutest smile ive ever seen.
"IM FREE! IM FREE IM FREE IM FREEEEEEE!" She snaps out of her celebrating to look around at all the ponies in front of her, before her gaze fell onto me. "Who are you?" She asks curiously.
"I guess I should formally introduce myself." I said as I gave a bow. "I am Jasper, Witch King of the nation Angmar, wraith, and former human." Her expression goes to confusion then to pure happiness. Next thing I know im in a bone crushing hug.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" I didnt mind the squeezing too much because I am immortal, but my mind began to wonder on what I was to do with her now. I cant allow her to go back to that acursed hive, it must be riddled with dark magic. So does that mean she stays with me? And what about her hive? She broke the hug and looked down at me curiously.
Your right I cant go back to the hive the dark magic calls home and yes that does mean ill be staying with you, if you dont mind, and I can break the spell on my subjects, seeing as I am the last of my alicorn generation. I stare at her dumbstruck.

Im an alicorn, plus it helps that we opened our minds to eachother.

Yes it is, so get used to it. And remember your promise to protect me? I think this will benefit us greatly.
Indeed. Is there anything else you want to do? I kinda have a city to reclaim at the moment. She blushed and gave an "Oh yeah" and got off. "It is time to return to the battle at hand and I think you need some time to reintroduce yourself to the others while I personally end this conflict." I said before going back the way I came in.
"Anybody got a deck of cards?" was the last thing I heard before leaving to the gardens. I walked through the hallways that were now littered with changeling bodies until I came to a familiar garden area covered in bodies. I saw my Nazgül in the distance and ran over to them.
"Took you long enough! Where the hell have you been?!" He yelled in my face angrily. I gave one low, threatening hiss and he backed off.
"Ive dealt with Chrysalis, but she has been reformed back to a certain Honeycomb Queen." I said suggestively.
"OOOH~."
"I think the area is clear along with the castle, so lets move to help our comrades down in Canterlot city! On me!" I yelled and everbody followed behind me towards the raging battle inside Canterlot itself.
P.O.V Chrysalis
I watched him enter the garden and lead soldiers with silver armor and black robes into the city. Something about him just makes me feel.....safe. I hope he comes back okay, or im out of a home. But something else in me wants him to come back safe for a different reason. What is that reason? Why do I care so much about him? I just want things back to normal. But nothing is normal anymore, the very definition of normal has changed since my imprisonment. Staying with Jasper is going to be as close as I am going to get to "normal". Gah! Everything is already crumbling around me! I just need to wait until he gets back and I can get settled into my new home.
P.O.V Jasper
We just re-entered Canterlot and made our way to the big battle raging in the square. As the men charged in from the back of the battle I saw that the guards were still killing changelings and possibly innocent people. I quickly took action to stop this. "Incapacitate them, do not kill anymore. They are under the influence of dark magic, so keep them alive!" All the guards started using the blunt end of their weapons, like that guard that smacked that changeling with the back end of his spear. ooooo that was one hell of a hit. I then saw Johnny bash a changeling with his sword hilt and throw another over his shoulder into a wall. Lemur was on the rooftops and, like all the other archers, broke off the end of the arrows and shot changelings in the head with them, effectively knocking them out. I ran up to a group of them and propeled them backwards into another group, which I picked up telekinetically and threw into a wall. The battle was all but won, the changelings that surrendered were incapacitated anyways. Everything was getting wrapped up here, so I aperated back to the castle wedding ceremony. SNAP! Everyone in the room fell off their seats as I aperated into the room.
"What the hay?!" Applejack yelled as she frantically looked for the source until she found me. "Oh, its just you." she said in a bored voice.
"Well hello to you to. The battle is over, we have won. We have also saved as many as we could in the short amount of time given to us. Chrysalis, you said that you could break the curse on them?" She nods. "Perfect, they are in Canterlot square. Grab ahold of my arm and we'll be off." Chrysalis did so and grabbed my arm with one hoof, blushing as she did so. "Celestia, there will be a meeting at Minas Morgul about this and about the rise of Angmar. I hope to see you at the meeting." I said seriously before disaperating. When we came out the otherside, Chrysalis started vomiting on the ground. "Whoops, I forgot that you were mortal. The fist time disaperating is the worst, so dont let it dim the light on aperation." I gently started rubbing her neck again as she continued to wretch. When she finally finished she used some sort of spell to break the curse on the changelings. Their chitin turned into hide and fur as their wings, body, mane, and tail began to change as well. Their eyes were still the same as a fly, but it looked more normal on them now. Their wings were pretty much th same as Chrysalis's, albeit smaller, but the same nonetheless. Now that they are free, we needed to get on the road. That was the plan until I heard a certain insect queens stomach growl, which made her clutch her stomach and blush a deep red. She lookes really cute when she blushes. Anyways, we need to get some food into her soon or she'll starve. I guess were taking the fast route. I thought to my comrades as I grab onto one of Chrysalis's hooves and disaperate to the Minas Morgul kitchens. When we arrived, Chrysalis stumbled a bit before regaining composure and sniffing for some delicious food to eat. I pull out a salad bowl for her and set it down in front of her at a table in the corner.
"Thank you." She said as she started eating the salad I made. Im no cook, but I can make a mean salad. As soon as the first bite enters her mouth, her eyes light up with joy. "This is delicious!" She said with a mouthful, I chuckled in response as she wolfed down the entire bowl. She gives a very unlady-like belch and I start laughing and she soon joins in. She then yawns loudly. "I suppose its time to go to bed. Would you mind taking me to my quarters?" she asked in a flirty tone.
"Of course M'lady, follow me." I said in a humble tone and showed her her quarters in the western part of the castle. When we got there, we bid eachother farewell and went our seperate ways.

Minas Morgul, 3 days later
P.O.V Jasper
The army has returned to Minas Morgul along with all the changelings and have gotten themselves situated in Minas Morgul, The Undead City. Ive been working on a spell that can cast a temporary transformation spell, so now I can talk to Chrysalis in a much more familiar and friendly form. I can never stop who I truly am though, and that would be the Witch King of Angmar. Actually, I dont really want to be human again. Being a Nazgül means that I have the power to shape the stones of the future. In other news, Ive been hanging out with Chrysalis more and we've developed a good friendship, but sometimes I lose myself in those beautiful apple-green eyes she has. Im lucky she hasnt been reading my thoughts. Knowing Chysalis she would do just that, but she hasn't which has left me confused. Why hasnt she abused this connection for information? Looking back she hasnt been acting at all like the Chrysalis depicted in her backstory. Maybe she really is reformed, but that still doesnt explain the shyness and the kindness she radiates whenever im in her presence. I dont have time for this, today is the day of the gathering of nations. Today we make ourselves known in the political world, and the griffons aint got shit on us. The Honeycomb Kingdom (obviously ), the Minotaurs, the Griffons, and the Equestrians all agreed to come to the gathering. Shortly after I perfected the transformation spell, Johnny forced me to teach him and so I did. Next day, im going to Darings for some tea and I hear moaning and thumping inside her house. Just walk away, just walk away. . Sometimes I curse my stupidity. Anyways, I was going to meet up with Chrysalis before the delegations got here so that we could hang out and discuss what we were going to do about the new rising of Angmar. Though Angmar hardly needs allies, it is not good to be in a world full of hate towards you. And so here he was on his way to the newly built park in the northern part of the city, where the Honeycomb residents live. As I was walking down the lane I saw a familiar beige pegasus looking extremely bored. She notices me walking past and decides to talk to me.
"Hey big shot! Hows it goin? Is there anything I can do yet?" Daring asks in a pleading voice. She hasnt been aloud to leave yet due to her enemys finding out about us prematurely, but after today, that wont be a problem.
"Yes yes, you can finally leave after the gathering. And as a former Equestrian citizen, would you like to testify in the gathering should things arise?" Her face exploded with glee.
"Finally! Something I can do! Of course ill testify, my liege." I felt honored to be called by my title. Unlike Celestia and Luna, I rule with a tight leash while still maintaining kindness and authority. Chrysalis was not much different, maybe a little harsher, but not by much. I nod to Daring and move on into the park. It was very nice inside the park, the sun was shining, the roses were in full bloom, and there were lots of bug couples about. Seeing a couple nuzzling each other reminded me of the crushing lonliness I felt before the wedding. I sigh to myself and continue onwards to find Chrysalis.
As I made my way to our usual spot in the park, I saw more and more couples which added to my loneliness. It was when I turned the corner that my breath caught in my throat. Chrysalis was standing in a clearing, smelling a beautiful rose. What stole my breath away was not the rose, but Chrysalis's beautiful, serene face. It was then that I got a devilishly clever idea. I may not be able to use magic other than to reverse to my normal form, but I still possess the power of stealth. I snuck around until I was right in the bushes in front of Chrysalis.
"Boo!"
"GAH!" she fell backwards, flat on her back as I burst out laughing. She scowled up at as she was still on the ground. "Ill get you for this one, Jasper." She said with an unamused stare.
"Oh? And pry tell how you might do that, Chryssy." She flushed beat-red from the nickname I had given her.
"By doing this!" She said as she picked me up in her magic and flung me into the pond. I resurfaced with a glare fixed on a laughing queen. I silently swam over and picked her up. "What are you doing?!" she yelled before a jumped into the pond with her still in my arms. She flailed for a little bit before surfacing and splashing me in the face, which I returned in kind. This went on for about an hour until I noticed that it was midday and the delegations would be here soon. I had made a replica of the helm that the original Witch King wore, thus acts like my crown.
Well Chryssy, its time. I telepathicaly said as I transformed back into a Nazgül and donned my crown. She frowned.
I hope they dont judge me too harshly.
Dont worry Chryssy, ill be with you everystep of the way. They wont lay a hoof on you. She blushed scarlet and muttered a "thank you" and left for the throne room. Once I arrived at the gates, all was quiet, not a soul in sight. Nothing moved except the guards on the walls. They will be arriving in 10 minutes, so I decided to sit down with my Nazgül brethren and chatted.
I was in the middle of a discussion when the guard on the wall adressed me. "Your highness, they're here." He stated plainly in the same icy cold voice that we Nazgül possess. I looked over the walls and, sure enough, several bodies could be seen in the distance. Oh this shall be most amusing.
Indeed.
Indeed, indeed. Chrysy gave a little giggle at my goofiness.
You better not harm any of them because I can see you from up here.
Dont worry, im only going to tease them here and there.
Good, I dont want to clean up your mess.
As the bodies drew closer, I could easily tell that Celestia, Luna, and Cadence were among them as well as some griffons. They landed in front of the gates were the griffons, and minotaurs joined them in waiting. They all looked in awe and wonder at the city that lays before them. Granted, its at least 3 times bigger than Canterlot, but the walls and infrastructure were more than enough to awe them. Then I called down to them.
"Welcome to Minas Morgul, The City of the Undead. I shall grant you passage now and when the gates open, make your way to the castle." I wave to the guards on the wall to let them in. As the gates slowly open, I could hear gasps as they saw what was inside of the walls. Beautiful architecture and birch trees lining the roads, there were even some roses growing next to the trees. They snapped out of there amazement and did as they were told, going up to the castle to meet Chrysalis. I could see the equines getting along just fine, but I could see the griffons looking at her with hatred and disgust, while the minotaurs were gazing upon her with a mixture of lust and desire. Disgusting, though they are nowhere close to Caribou (*spit* ), who I will never host here in this city as long as I live. Anyways, they had all gathered at the front of the castle until they were led in by a guard. I turn to my Nazgül. "We need to be extremely careful with our words and keep our cool. And also, keep a sharp eye on the minotaurs, I dont like the way they were looking at Chryssy" I stated seriously, to which they all nodded understandingly.
"Yeah, I saw them checkin out your girl. Keep her safe, Jasper."
"She is not my girl and I know, I made a promise to protect her."
"Then get your ass movin hotshot! Duty calls!" And with that we aperate into the throne room, surprising everybody.
"GAH!!" They all exclaimed, I chuckled a little darker than intended at this display of fear.
"Welcome to the throne room, please sit down." I waved them over to the round table in the middle of the circular room. They hesitantly sat down at the round table, except Chrysalis, whos face was beaming at him. As they sit down, I thought about playing a cozy card. "Does anyone want any refreshments, I have tea and various other foods." They all looked uncertain at my offer.
"I would like some tea with extra honey, please." She asked politely, and with a wave of my hand it appeared in front of her. "Thank you!" She said happily as she drank from the cup.
"I think we would like some tea as well, please." Celestia said graciously. I grinned, knowing that they do have a passion for tea. I waved my hand and three cups of tea appeared in front of them. The griffons just grunted a "no" and the minotaurs just kept staring at Chrysalis, which was broiling my insides. I decided to initiate the diplomacy before something happens.
"We have come here today to discuss the new rising of Angmar. I for one, would like to form some friendships and get some things across the board."
"Well then, out with it!" The griffon king shouted angrily. I started to grin under the shroud of my hood.
"Minas Morgul has never belonged to the griffons. It was formally occupated by our predecessors, the servants of the Dark Lord Sauron, and I hope the griffons accept this." I said plainly to the already seething griffon king, which he promptly exploded as the words left my mouth.
"I will not be lied to! You will answer for stealing MY land, as well as foalnapping an Equestrian citizen!" He screamed as he slammed his fist on the table. It was Chryssy's turn to speak up.
"Thats a lie! She came here willingly and she has been living happily! Isnt that right, Daring?" She called off over to the Daring Doo, who had not been noticed over in the corner.
"Its been boring around here because he hasnt been letting me out, but thats because he cares about my safety. If you are gonna go to war over little-old-me, then im picking the Nazgüls side and theres nothing you can say to change my mind!" She stated like there was nothing to argue over. The griffon king sputtered for a few minutes before brooding in his chair.
"Thank you Daring Doo and Queen Chrysalis of the Honeycomb kingdom. Back to the main topic, I would like to discuss a protective alliance between Angmar and Equestria. What say you, Princess Celestia?" She turned to her peers, who nodded in agreement, and then back to me.
"I think its a grand idea for our two kingdoms to unite with eachother and I look forward to becoming great friends with you as well." She said with a genuine, wide smile.
"Perfect! I look forward to becoming friends as well." Then I turned to the minotaurs, paying no mind to the seething griffon king."Do you have any offers for Angmar or anyone else?" His only response was a grunt. "Very well then, Chrysalis, do you have any offers?" She looked extremely nervous now for some reason.
"Actually, I do. Will you accept us, The Honeycomb Kingdom, into Angmar? Let us be your subjects?" I was shocked as well as everyone else at the table. Why is she doing this? Is this about her past? This better not be about her past!
"Why?" I asked for everyone in the room.
"Because this is our home now and we cant stay two different countries in one city. Besides, you will have our best interests at heart." She said with a smile which I gladly returned.
"A wise man once said "A house devided cannot stand". Very well then, you are now citizens of Angmar. I hope you enjoy the peace I have to offer you all." I announced, to which the beamed and hugged me.
"Thank you, my liege! We shall do anything you ask from now on." She exclaimed happily and I hugged her back. After that, the meeting died down to discussions and talk. After everyone left, I announced the news to the new Angmar citizens. To say they were overjoyed was an understatement, they were jumping up and down and cheering. It was a blissful night after that and all was well.....for now.

At Minas Morgul, 1 week later
P.O.V Jasper
All has been well, in fact, this past week has been the best it has been for months. Plants are flourishing, couples were nuzzling, and hearts and hooves day was coming up. Oh boy, thats not gonna end well. Ive been noticing this past week how the females have been looking me up and down in my human form, and I could've sworn I saw one lick her lips. I just hope they dont go overboard. Anyways, im on my normal walk around the city today, enjoying the scenery and chatting with my Nazgüls and having a laugh.
Do you have any plans for Daring, Johnny? I teased and gave him a nudge. He gave me a death glare.
Well, I was planning on taking her on an adventure through the forest one of these days, but because of that embargo you placed on Minas Morgul, she cant leave without direct permission. He said annoyed.
I am truly sorry my friend, but there is a growing power within the forest that is growing ever stronger. I stated, worried. Indeed a growing dark power has been growing in the Everfree and has only been growing stronger. It is starting to get to the point of worrying, sure I am powerful,l but not all powerful.
Maybe we should look into this personally?
No, it would be unwise and untrustful of us to look into a very powerful artifact without warrant for cause.
Indeed. We can only wait until it becomes an actuall threat. At that moment we all staggered from an immense pulse of dark magic from a stone castle in the far distance. A certain stone castle that they havent been to since they arrived here. A certain royal pony castle full of shadow and darkness. I should've known! Where else would bad things happen?!
Now we have a warrant to go in! Lets go! We aperated as close as we could to the source of the dark magic, which was at the rickety bridge.
This. Is. Gonna. SUCK! One by one, we crossed the bridge and carried on to the castle. As we came closer, I could feel the darkness grow stronger, but...it wasnt encroaching. It was more....curious? Something was up with this dark presence, I just hope its nothing TOO big. As we continued on our path through the decrepit hallways, I couldnt help but feel watched, as if the shadows were alive.
More pulses came and went, each one more powerful than the last. When we got to the throne room, another pulse came from the other side. This was it. Whatever dark being was on the other side was there all right. We readied ourselves and silently walked in. There was nothing but a pile of rags in the middle of the room, no doubt shed by the being using them. We searched and searched, and found nothing out of place or any signs of life at all! It frustrated me that whoever was here no doubt slipped away as soon as we neared the doors. We all met up at the middle of the room again.
We missed him.
How could he just slip away like that?!
I dont know, but if we are going to find him, we need the support of the Equestrians.
Indeed, we should- Lemur was interupted by a happy coo from the rags below. We just stared for several minutes until it gave another happy coo.
I slowly reached down and grabbed the brim of the rags. I slowly peeled them back to reveal a newborn foal with a black coat, sparkling blue eyes, and slitted pupils. I turn my utterly shocked gaze to the others who returned it. We all knew who this was, but I hadnt been expecting a newborn foal! Though as I looked into those eyes, I knew she could become something greater than Nightmare Moon. Besides, this was a newborn filly in an abandoned castle with alot of other threats around here, I couldnt condem such a young life to death. I crouched down and picked up the little Nightmare Moon, and then proceeded to wrap her up in the black rags on the floor. She gave a content sigh in my arms and fell asleep. My heart was in a complete meltdown right now. She is so cute! How could someone not want this cute little thing? I was about to walk out of the room when I was stopped be Johnnys hand on my shoulder.
"Are you sure about this, boss? You know the Equestrians will burn us at the stake for this." He said to me.
"I dont care. As far as we know right now, this is an abandoned alicorn filly in a haunted castle with no past and no-one to love and protect her. I will take her as my responsiblity and no-one can dispute it. I claim you as my own daughter, Stellaris Aurora, Princess of the shadows." I said as I looked down at the little filly in my arms. She was still asleep and looking as peaceful as can be.
"As you wish my liege, and welcome to the family little one." Suddenly the sound of familiar voices came from outside, and when I looked, there were indeed 6 very familiar mares galloping into the castle.
We cant let them know about the princess, they will take her away and do horrible things to her because of Nightmare Moon.
I will not let them touch the little one. We must leave now or we might not be able to keep her. I nodded to him and we all disaperated before Twilight and her friends could find us.
We appeared in the throne room, where I was tackled to the ground by a very worried Chrysalis.
"Where have you been?! Ive been so worried about you! And what is that your holding?!" She yells at me while eyeing the foal I was carrying.
"May I introduce you to Stellaris Aurora, Princess of the shadows, my new daughter." I said softly as I cuddle with Stella. When she realized I was holding an alicorn, her jaw hung open from shock.
"How did you find another alicorn?!"
"We dont know how, but she must have been created by a dark energy anomaly. Though the Equestrians know her as a being of malice and hatred, I can shape her to be an excellent princess. Mark my words." I stated. She smiled up at me and said,
"So your good with foals too, huh? You are becoming more of a catch everyday, stud." She said with a sultry wink. I was blushing so hard, they could almost see the glow under my hood. She was just laughing all the while. "You wont stand a chance against the mares in heat season." She added as she added another winked which added to my flusterness. "Your too easy to fluster. Those mares wont be able to lay a hoof on you, honestly. Especially in your Nazgül form. I wont let them." Did I hear a bit of possessiveness in there? Eh, must have been my imagination.
Pushing that aside, I took little Stella into my personal chambers and created a crib from my magic. I place her down into the crib and look down at her sleeping form. She was so cute all cuddled up in the blankets and sleeping soundly. But as I walked over to my own bed, she started to cry. I immediatly turn around and find her crying and squirming in her crib. She breaks free of her rags and holds her tiny little hooves out to me, telling me she wants to be picked up. She is so damn cute! I couldnt resist her cuteness and picked her up and craddled her in my arms. She immediatly stops crying and starts whimpering. Awwwww, I think she wants food. I summon a bottle of milk and give it to her. She latches onto the nub without any problems and started to suckle on the bottle. Once she was done she started squirming uncomfortably, and from watching the baby cakes episode, I knew what to do. I put her on my shoulder and started patting her back until she burped. She gave a cute little burp and a giggle. I brought her back down into my arms and tried to put her back into her crib. Emphasis on "tried". As soon as I got near the crib she started tearing up. I looked deep into her eyes and saw loneliness, so I brought her over to the bed with me and she cuddled right into the cloth on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and drift off to a dreamless sleep.
I woke up and looked down at the little filly wrapped in my arms. The Equestrians will hate her and keep a grudge against her, but damn them. We hold the divine authority and if they so much as touch Stella the wrong way, they will not get a peaceful afterlife. I start to think of a plan when a knock comes from the door.
"Can I come in?" Chrysalis asks through the door. Ive been growing feelings for her for a while now and you need to confront them sooner rather than later. I transform into my normal form before responding.
"Yes, you may." Chrysalis steps inside looking very happy.
"How is the little one doing?" She points a hoof at the wrapped up Stella.
"She is doing well and she is behaving very well for her age." I smile with pride at the little filly cradled in my arms. I then remember that Chrysalis had come for something. "Did you need something Chryssy?" She looks up at me with a puzzled expression and then remembers why shes here.
"Oh, I came to tell you that the Princesses are on their way to discuss something about a dark magic anomaly." She says without knowing what it meant to me. I was furious.
"What?!" I yell in disbelief which startles Chrysalis. "GUARDS!! DEFEND THE PRINCESS WHILE I DEAL WITH THIS MATTER!!" I command the guards in the vicinity of your chambers. About two dozen guards come to defend Stella while I defuse the situation.

Meanwhile with Nightmare Moon
THOSE FOALS THINK THEY CAN CHALLENGE ME!! NIGHTMARE MOON!!! I watched those six wretched mares enter the forest. MY FORREST!!! I will show these foals what happens to them when they enter my forest! I hope you perish foul demon! That infernal mare has been fighting me since my return. I thought this is what you wanted was it not? To become beloved by all who doubted you and to throw your sister from the spotlight? Oh my I forgot, OUR sister. I thought as I faked the most innocent voice I could muster. SHE IS MY SISTER, DEMON!!!! I couldn't help myself but laugh at her pointless efforts to escape. Now now, don't struggle or you might get yourself hurt. I mocked her, but she continued to struggle and sent a shock of pain to her. AAAAAHHHHHHH!! She shrieked and stopped resisting. Good I can finally plan to stop those mares now. Somepony help me.
Back to our wannabe heroes
I could sense Nightmares presence like it was an aura that was leading me to her, but we didn't want that. We wanted to ambush them at the castle. More importantly when Twilight and Nightmare Moon face off during the show. So we looked and looked until we came across six mares facing off with a manticore. We all know who those mares are. The white unicorn with a curled purple mane and tail named Rarity just bucked the manticore in the face. We knew how this all ended so we just stuck to the shadows and followed the path until we met a pretty sizeable obstacle. A wailing sea serpent. Fantastic. I wonder if I can use telepathy. I focused on Draugr and said in my mind Any ideas? He looked shocked for a moment but then copied me and said,
We can't engage in direct contact but maybe we can summon or make a bridge across.
I focused on Johnny and said, We need you to see if we can make a bridge. He simply nodded and unsheathed his longsword and sliced through a tree like butter. The tree proceeded to fall across the gap and form a sturdy bridge. Blunt, but effective.
"Excellent work Johny."
"No problem" He said with bravado.
"We must make haste to the castle. We run short on time my friends." He then pointed up stream to the serpent talking to Rarity.
"Wheres Shadowfax when you need him" I grumble
We picked up the pace towards the royal pony sisters castle but then we remembered a problem...
"The bridge" Ah piss
We cannot change the future now. They must fight their own battles. Then an idea popped in my head. Can we teleport? They all shrugged in response. Boy, you lot are helpful. I figured id give it a go and focused on the other side of the ravine and-
CRACK!!
I looked around and sure enough, I was on the other side of the ravine. The process reminded me a lot about disaperating from Harry Potter but not quite the same. I looked back at them and said Focus on the spot you want to end up at.
CRACK!! CRACK!! CRACK!!
Several snaps of displaced air could be heard and standing before me were my 8 Nazgul. And from there we finally proceeded to the castle unnoticed by Nightmare due to the mares distracting her. When we got there we knew we had mere minutes to surround the upper floor in the shadows. And so we waited. We could hear talking and the clopping of hooves. Then a bright flash and Twilight appeared with the stone elements. Another bright flash revealed Nightmare Moon in all her glory. We watched the monologue play out until our time came . Nightmare had just destroyed the elements when we came out of the shadow using the Nazgul screech , which plunged fear into the heart of even Nightmare Moon. We charged, longswords outstretched, ready cleave.We had surrounded her when she, as we predicted, blasted us away. She was gazing upon us with horror filled eyes until she saw the elements of harmony gathering. She was charging up a spell to shoot at them until my fist collided with her skull. She was sent sliding across the floor to the other side of the room. My Nazgul were staying to the sidelines to let me dual Nightmare alone. She got up and conjured a midnight blue halberd and charged.
It was a naive charge, but I clashed with her anyway and we were at a standoff until she broke it and made a swing for my leg which I parried and made an upper swing, which she dodged. We parried and dodged until I swung low at her hoof and grazed with my blade. She shrieked out in pain, so I took that opportunity to pull my arm back and slam the hilt of my sword into her head and she fell backwards, dazed. I had noticed a faint glowing in my peripheral vision and turned just in time to see the elements fire their spell which I narrowly escaped by disaperating out of there and in the middle of the forest. Seconds later and my fellow nazgul joined me. And now we must journey off to make our home somewhere until we are needed once again.

P.O.V Twilight
My mind was reeling at what had just happened. One moment I was with my friends, ready to take down Nightmare Moon and the next thing I knew nine bipedal creatures in black robes were in a heated battle with Nightmare Moon. I took that moment to gather the elements and hit Nightmare, but not the other creepy hooded figure. Who were they and why did they help us? I started to get up and then I saw my teacher, Princess Celestia, stand by the window.
"Princess!" I squeaked and bowed.
"There is no need to bow right now Twilight. There is a matter I must attend to." The princess said before looking at a midnight blue mare huddled on the floor.
