Shooting Star is a small Unicorn with a big secret. He lives his life in a state of blissful, willful ignorance. To other's he is a sub par unicorn that can't even cast the most basic of spells. They would be correct in believing that.. if the truth wasn't so much worse. Shooting Star is a Changeling.

The last of his hive. He spent the first few year's of his life on the run constantly looking over his shoulder, watching, waiting for his enemies to pounce from the shadows. But they never did. It seemed that he was like a ghost upon the winds. Soon he began to settle down and look for a new life. Evidently, it found him.

Ruby Rose and Sky Diver, an exploration/adventuring couple soon found the young kid while he was down on his luck. They saw his plight and look him in. The newly minted rag tag family then set off on many great adventures. This is not one of them.

No, this story takes's place a decade after their life of excitement and thrills. Now Ruby and Sky have settled down, moving from Canterlot to Cloudsdale until they finally settled on Ponyville. It was a quaint and down to earth little town. The perfect spot to live out the rest of their live's. Shooting Star has managed to even make a nice little life for himself here. That is until he met six mare's that saved the world.
