Wave's Rampage -by MajorPink- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rampage //-------------------------------------------------------// The Rampage “Light Soundwave was made to learn and help the ponies of PonyVille.” Crimson Rose said as he looked at his hooves that were in cuffs. “Then tell me the story and we might be able to let you go.” The officer responded stepping to Crimson.   “He wasn’t supposed to turn on his own kind” “Wasn’t supposed to? IT killed 28 ponies”   “...I’ll tell you what happen,” Crimson said as the officer moved him inside for interrogation. I made Light Soundwave, I am his creator. he was dark blue with a red mane and tail his eyes were light blue. I stayed up all night trying to finish him I think it was three in the morning when I did a test activation.   “Project Light S. Wave activated. Hello my name I-I-Is Light Soundwave, input your name now” Light said to me. I didn’t say anything for a good minute it was such a great feeling having him speak to me. “My name is Crimson Rose, I created you Light,” I said to him,   “Hello Crimson Rose, may I A-A-Ask you a question?” “Yes, ask away.”   “Where is the rest of my body?” Light asked me, I knew I built him to be self-aware but he was developing faster than I thought. It was at this point I had an idea to make him a young colt and put him through school and see if I can control what he learns. It took me about four months to finish his colt body but he was done and all I had to do was activate him. I was scared that he would attack the young ones at the school so I had to make a watch that would let me look in through his eyes and I could see what he saw. The next morning I activated him.   “Project Light S.Wave has been activated, hello my name is Light Soundwave what is your name.” Light said to me but his voice was scratchy and robotic and I knew they would single him out because of it. It didn’t take me long to think of a way to fix that, I grabbed a few taps of when I was a colt starting school and played them for Light to watch.   “Light I need you to watch these tapes and make your voice just like his understand?” I asked him and he turned looking at the T.V, he then looked at his leg and back to me. “But creator I’m not red like the young colt in this video,” He told me.   “Light you are that colt, learn to be like him you're just a different color,” I told him and he listened but after a quick few seconds he turned back to me with another question “Do I have permission to act like this colt and be like him?” he asked me and I nodded my head yes. That was all he needed and he was learning everything about me in that video since it was me he was watching. I made a few calibrations to his physical appearance so he looked like a real colt if you were to just meet him you couldn’t tell the difference. As I was connecting my watch to his eyes he shot me a question that still makes my heart hurt till this day. “Daddy, am I ready to go to school?” Light asked me, as I turned to look at him all I could tell was he had completely learned how to walk, talk, and act as a colt, so when I was done I went to the school with light and met miss cheerly who greeted us with a hearty smile.   “So who is this little stallion?” Cheerly asked me and I knew his appearance was dead set and it would not pose a problem. “This is my son Light Soundwave and I thought it was time for him to start school,” I told her which in turn made her smile more at me.   “I’m glad you thought so and for your luck the school year just started so if you will follow me inside little Light can go have fun with the fillies and colts on the playground.” “I do have one question cheerly, I was hoping I would be able to stay in the classroom with Light as this is the very first time he will be around anyone besides me.”   “Oh um.. sure I guess you could stay just sit in the corner.” She told me. Another thing hit my mind that I was scared of is that Light will try to show off his defense system. Later that day the Young ponies came in from the playground and Light followed close behind them and smiled as he saw me.   “Ok ponies please take your seats and we will get the first day of school started,” Cheerly spoke watching me as I was just looking at my watch, to her I was checking the time but I was really looking at what Light was seeing. Light’s first school day was a success and I think Light even made a friend I probably should have remembered his name because I know Light told me a hundred times.   “Get to the part where that thing went crazy and started to kill everypony,” the officer told Crimson as he hit the table hard. “..First of all his name is Light and you will call him such..you call him a thing one more time you will loose my cooperation.” Crimson spoke to the officer with a twitch in his eye.   “Alright..tell me the part when Light went crazy,” The officer said rubbing his head. “He didn’t go crazy..there was a malfunction with his recognition software,” Said Crimson as he looked up at the camera watching him. I think two months had passed since his first day at school and from my reports, he had adapted very well..until he tried to jump out of a tree with his friends and fly around the playground with them, but you know metal does not fly too well with metal wings without a jet engine. I was inside talking with cheerly when it was happening, talking to her about how light was adapting when the alarm on my watch started going off.   “Wait if you were inside how did you know he was trying to fly and fail?” The officer asked writing in the report. “Why can’t you just wait..but the watch I have records so all I have to do is hit playback and it works like a camera” Crimson spoke annoyed with the officer now. Anyways I looked at my watch and saw that Light had an optic damage which would show his real robotic eye. I jumped up and ran to Light where I found him lying in the dirt with a few colts around him. I ran to him moving them out of the way. I moved Light’s head around trying to find the broken optic to cover it but it was too late as one of the young ponies on the playground has yelled out that his eye had a crack, which in turn made all of them run over to get a look. I did my best to cover him so they wouldn’t see.   “D-d-daddy optic r-right has been b-b-b-broken requesting permission to remove it,” Light said to me but I didn’t understand him through all of the chatting and stupidly said yes. It only took a few seconds for one of the fillies to yell out at him pulling off his optic cover revealing his robotic eye under. I guess at this time Light was done with his system reboot and looked up at me with a smile unknown what was happening at the time until from the group a colt yelled out he wasn’t real and everypony needed to run away from him and of course they did screaming as cheerly ran out in a panic seeing me holding Light but as she approached us Light looked at her and she gasped saying "what are you." Light stood up and bowed to her   “My name is Light Soundwave subject 33829,” Light said thinking cheerly was ok with him. The only thing Cheerly did was faint in fear. Light lowered his ears as he now knew this wasn’t a game and was finally being found out for who he really was, a creation not a real pony. Before I could shut him down he ran off into town I even tried to run after him but he was much faster and all I could do was watch him through his eyes as the town's ponies screamed at him and ran away from him in fear. I guess sometime during the fear somepony hit him with something it is still unclear what he was hit by but it was hard enough for me loose connection with his eyes so I was blind to him and all I had to find him was the screams of ponies as he ran. I chased him across town until I was able to stop him as I yelled for him. Light turned to me and I didn’t think it was even possible for robots to even cry but Light was crying I saw the tears falling from his cheeks.   “Light please stop I will fix you ok we can try again,” I told Light walking to him slowly as I could tell his head was critically damaged mostly the cover over his robotic body. “N-no I can’t go back they know what I really am.” Light told me his voice scratchy again.   “Light I promise they will forget about this let me fix you, ok?” “...no I will not return with you creator I don’t have a purpose here anymore,” Light said his voice fully robotic again and when he said that to me it shocked me not because he called me creator but he disobeyed an order from me. I honestly could not say anything else to him as he turned away from me and walked on and all I could do was watch. I think a few minutes passed before I thought about saying his emergency shut off phrase so I chased after him once more this time with a plan. It took me awhile to find him but I found him at the school sitting by himself at first I thought at least. As I got closer I could smell blood and I could make out a little colt lying in front of Light   “Light..what happen,” I asked him and he didn’t move. “He attacked me creator and I did what I was programmed to do when somepony attacked me.” Light told me as he stood up. I walked over and took a look at the little colt and I saw four lethal shots in the chest and I could tell he suffered through all shots. From what I could tell that is not what I put his programming to do it was put to do a quick shot to the heart or head to an attacker. He did this because he wanted to but I didn’t want to anger him and provoke him by saying he didn’t attack him.   “Light I'm asking you to please return with me so I can fix you,” I asked him trying to push the sight of the dead colt out of my mind. “Fix me? You can’t fix this!” Light yelled at me. I then yelled out his emergency shut off phrase and his eyes went dark and his head lowered which he was shut down. I sighed thinking I won this fight as I tried to remove his battery but before I could even get closer his eyes lit back up but instead of them being my eye color they were his light blue color and my watch beeped and as I looked I could see through his eyes again. What I saw literally scared me his program was rewriting itself from what I could keep up with it was saying all living organisms were considered hostile and needed to be erased   “Program reset complete Program Light S.Wave reactivated defense protocol active kill all living organisms.” Light said as his voice was dark and scratchy. I looked up at him as his defense weapons slowly emerged from his body and his head raised up looking at me. My vision went blurry as I could hear him talk to me..target locked commence fire. I closed my eyes thinking this was the end..that I was gonna be killed by my creation it was scary just thinking that, you could even say my life flashed before my eyes. But something happened as he was just saying error over and over but before he ran off from me I remembered the core code I put into his AI never harm me, his creator. No matter what kind of program you put into him he could not complete the action if it was to harm me. So he just ran off as I chased after him. Like before I couldn’t keep up but at least I could see through his eyes again. The second pony he killed was..was Mrs. Cake, I think she was delivering a cake to a customer I can’t really remember what she was doing. All I can remember is the sound of the gun firing with the bullet hitting her chest and her body falling to the ground.   “Why didn’t you try to stop him?” The officer said hitting the table again scaring Crimson “I tried, I said his emergency shut off and it only reset him I told you already,” Crimson said looking down at his cuffs again. All I know is that he went on a rampage and I couldn’t stop him so they called the royal guard to come kill him that is why your ugly ass is down here questioning me   “I need more detail then he went on a rampage” “Fine…” I was scared because I thought if he could rewrite his own code how long it would take him to rewrite his AI code and put me on his hit list so I was trying to think of a way to reset his AI and make him a regular foal again before you and your team got to him.   “Why did you not want us to get to him,” The officer said taking his helmet off the table. “I didn’t want you to put a bullet into his brain and erase all my hard ass work,” Crimson said his ears lowered.   “Then tell me why you killed three of my men” “Light was alone he needed an ally it was the only thing I could think of to do.I didn’t want to loose him! H-he was my son.” Crimson said as his eyes were starting to water. For all of my research, I could not think of anything but to kill your men I thought if he saw me helping him he would think good of me and not try to rewrite me out of his memory...and it worked as one of your men attacked me Light helped me by killing him off me. As everything went quiet I stood up and Light walked to me his guns retracted.   “Hi, daddy I missed you,” Light told me and he was normal again his voice was just like mine at that age. It made me smile and hug him I was happy again even with blood on my hooves. Until that bastard sniper of yours..bang.I felt the bullet wedge into the back of his head as Light turned looking up at the sniper as he shot him again right into the eye. I froze up and started to cry as Light took a few steps and fell to the ground I stumbled over to him and picked him up to the best of my ability.   “He was just a robot,” The officer said “He was more than a robot!..he was my son…”Crimson said him visibly crying now him lowering his head to the table. I only watched him as his eyes were slowly losing power and as his body was shutting down. I still remember his last few words to me.   “D-d-daddy? Don’t be sad..i-I'll come back stronger t-t-then before..to help you” Light said to me as his body fully shut down and I put him down and walked away, back home. That is where you found me and arrested me.   “You left him where he was shot?” the officer asked. “Yea, I couldn’t bring myself to bring him along” Crimson responded as he stopped crying.   “The sniper is dead and the body is gone I think you are lying to me.” “Dead you say?.I think Light got his revenge” Crimson said looking back up at the officer.   “That isn’t funny you bitc-” The officer tried to say as an explosion is heard through the prison making him stand and look around. “Huh...stronger, how stronger do you think he got,” Crimson said as he looked at the Officer with a smile. The officer looked at Crimson as another explosion rattles the building which makes one of his optic covers fall off which only makes Crimson smile more as the officer’s eyes got wide and back up to the door   “Couldn’t be strong enough to take his creator's place in prison to kill all who oppose him, could it? Crimson said as his red coat slowly faded to blue. The officer ran for the door but as he opened it the real Crimson was there to greet him with a smile and a wink.   “Light shut off the power to the prison,” Crimson said stepping into the room as the lights go out. “Should I let the prisoners out too creator.” Light asked breaking the cuffs around his hooves.   “Um..yea why not let them help us” Crimson looked down at the Officer as light put a gun barrel to his head pulling the trigger instantly killing the officer, painting the floor and wall with blood and brain.   “Come on Light our plan is only starting,” Crimson said with a smile as he started to walk out followed by Light who agreed with him.
