A Dream of Change

Another week had drawn to a close and like they do every Friday, Aria, Sonata and Adagio decided to order their supper and watch a movie. This was always tough for them because they could never agree on what to order so often times it would turn into an argument.

Aria suggested, "I say we order pizza."

Adagio suggested, "I'm in the mood for Chinese."

Sonata suggested, "I'm in the mood for tacos!"

Aria and Adagio both sighed in frustration as that is all Sonata ever suggested and normally she would get her way simply by sticking her bottom lip out and this week would be no different. Sonata stuck her bottom lip out and suggested again, "I say we get tacos!"

Aria groaned, "Sonata, sticking your bottom lip out won't work this time. We have had tacos for six weeks straight and I'm sick and tired of them."

Adagio added, "Can't we have something else?" She sighed and continued, "Hell I'd rather have that nasty pizza Aria likes so much over tacos."

Sonata begged, "Please, pretty please with a taco on top."

While her sisters were the tough type, Sonata sticking her bottom lip out always won out in the end. Adagio sighed, "Oh alright, we'll get tacos, AGAIN."

Aria added, "But next week we're getting something else."

Sonata had a huge smile on her week as Adagio called Taco Shack to place their order. Aria gave her an intense look and said, "Since we are having tacos yet again, one of us gets to pick what we watch tonight, alright?"

Sonata pleaded, "Please, can't I pick again?"

Adagio had got off the phone and heard this. She glared at Sonata, "Look, just like our Friday night meal, you have picked the movie for the past six weeks!"

Aria added, "And neither one of us want to make that seven. Besides the shit you like is horrible."

Sonata began looking through their DVDs and found one she wanted to watch. She held it out and begged, "Please, can we watch this?"

Both of her sisters grunted in disgust. Adagio gagged, "Seriously Sonata, 'The Titanic?' You're joking, right?"

Aria gagged, "I'd rather watch city council meetings on the local access channel than that shit." She began to look through their DVDs and pulled out one she liked, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." She continued, "Now this is a good movie Sonata."

Adagio threw her hands up in the air and sighed, "Seriously Aria? I know you like movies where the ending is not happy but please, a nuclear holocaust no matter what?"

Adagio then began to rummage through their DVDs and pulled out "Jaws." She said, "Now this is a good movie. No sappy romance and no depressing ending where nuclear war is inevitable."

Just like she did with the tacos, Sonata again stuck her bottom lip out and begged, "Please, can't we watch mine?"

After a few minutes of arguing Aria and Adagio finally caved in. Sonata continued, "Yay, I'm so happy we can watch what I want!"

Adagio frowned, "For the seventh straight week."

Aria added, "After this week, we will decide the meal and the movie and trust me, there will be no tacos and there will be no shitty movies like you like."

Just as she said this, there was a knock on the door. It was their tacos and once Adagio brought them in, Sonata immediately rushed to them. She grabbed a few, more than what was her fair share. Aria raised her voice, "Sonata, there are only 12 of them, you don't get six!"

Sonata pouted, "Please! You said you are sick of tacos!"

Aria replied, "Well that doesn't mean I don't want any." She took a couple tacos out of the box and took two that Sonata had taken and continued, "There, this way we'll all get our fair share, four each."

While Sonata had been able to get the two to cave on the meal and the movie that night, she knew that it would be best to not try to take more tacos than she should. Adagio had grabbed hers as well and said, "Well shall we go in and get this over with? Shall we watch Sonata's dumb movie and have our supper?"

Both of her sisters nodded and plopped down on the couch as Sonata turned the TV on and put her DVD in to play. She headed to the couch and like she always does, she plopped down between her sisters but like always, sat a bit closer to Aria. Aria always wondered why she did that but it did not bother her too much.

As the movie progressed and they had finished their tacos, Sonata couldn't help but inch closer to Aria. At first Aria didn't notice this until her younger sister was pressed right up against her. She glared at Sonata and warned, "Sonata, you know I like my personal space."

She pointed her finger to the left which was her way of telling Sonata to move back to her own cushion. She did as requested until one of the more romantic moments of the movie arrived. Sonata dreamily said, "Awww, don't they make the cutest couple?"

Adagio grunted, "Whatever, I really don't give a shit."

Aria groaned, "Ugh, can't that stupid ship just sink already?" Her groan became more of a laugh, "I'd rather watch them drown than see shitty moments like this."

Sonata sighed, "Well I just think they are a cute couple!"

Her sisters sighed in disgust and before long, Sonata was right back up against Aria but this time, she had quickly put her arm around her. Aria was not pleased and warned, "Sonata, what did I say earlier? Give me my personal space!"

Sonata gave her puppy dog eyes and stuck out her bottom lip. She begged, "Please, can't I hold onto you just this once?"

Aria sighed, "Oh fine but don't expect me to let you do this every week."

Sonata cheered, "Thank you Aria!"

Sonata immediately wrapped both her arms around Aria and laid her head on her shoulder as she watched the movie. Aria was no fan of physical touch but she did admit to herself that the warmth of Sonata's body did feel good, it felt so good that she was able to distract herself from the movie and smile at her sister.

Once the movie ended Adagio got up to turn the DVD off. She looked at her sisters and gasped, "Aria, is she asleep?"

Aria looked down to find that Sonata was indeed asleep. She shook her awake and asked, "Sonata, why did you fall asleep? Why would you fall asleep during that stupid movie of yours?"

Sonata gave her a smile, "Well it's just that you're really warm and your shoulder is really comfortable!"

Aria had an unsure look on her face and Adagio had a smirk on her face as she said, "Oooh Aria, it looks like someone is crushing on you!"

Sonata immediately objected, "I'm not crushing on her! I would never crush on my sister, it is just that she is warm and her shoulder makes a good pillow!"

Aria got up and sighed, "Well thank you Sonata but I'm not a pillow. Maybe next time you can curl up against Dagi, I'm sure she's just as warm and comfortable as me."

Adagio immediately protested, "Not just no but hell no!"

After a brief moment of silence Aria said, "Well it is getting late and I'm going to bed. See you two in the morning."

Aria headed up to bed a bit frustrated that despite it feeling good, that Sonata would cuddle up to her when she knows that she doesn't like physical contact, especially physical contact from her.
