Contemplation

Luna sat on the top parapet of her- no, Celestia's former castle. Just that one thought caused Luna to sigh. Why must Celly claim everything for her own? Luna wondered. Did I ever actually rule? Luna rose from her seat on the parapet. Walking down the hall, she was taken back to when she last walked this path.

Luna strode down the corridor confidently, her silver regalia shining. She would show Celestia *THIS** time.*

Shuddering in remembrance, Luna reached her former room. Placing her hoof on the door, she wondered about the choice of colour. Why was the door bronze? Why did it have so much garish neon yellow? Why were the accents pastel blue, green, and pink? Why not Silver with midnight blue, accented with meteor shards she had collected herself? The thought of her meteors sent Luna into a panic. No no no no no! Are they still there? I MUST find them! Luna raced down hall after hall, corridor after corridor. She nearly slammed open the double doors to the so called "Sky Room". Racing to where the case was, she tripped and crashed into the pedestal with the mithril lined spruce case. The case was open. Luna stared at the dust that remained. Had some thief come in the night? Had Celestia taken them? With dust on her hooves, Luna remembered.

Celly! Look at that star! I didn't make it move!

Celly, I want to look for that star. It's hurt from falling so far! I just know I can help it.

Celly, you need to see this. I-it's the star. It.. It.. Died. Blubbering, Young Luna started to pick up the pieces of the star. Of course, it was truly a meteor, but Luna did not know. Luna then insisted on giving the 'Star' a funeral.

Luna startled awake from a blast of cold air. Curious, she went to the source of the gust. Traversing a rather short path, she found the room beyond the Element storage. The windows were broken. The shards of the Nightmare were on the ground. The pain... Luna shook her head. It was time to lower the moon, to make way for the sun.
