“Shade before you leave for the town you, shouldn't you at least look at who is going to be there and why you are going there?” said the princess while sitting on her throne  
“Truly princess i simply had confidence in you but if you insist i will.”   
“Alright here is the dossier it has everything you could want to know inside.” with a motion of her hoof a guard wearing restricting armour came out from behind a door on your right “little flashy princess you could of just handed it to me wi...” she cuts you off with a chuckle saying   
“i used to but this way is a bit more... flashy not to mention fun, anyways you can browse over that as much or as little as you want everything is explained in there.” a guard comes and whispers something into her ear all you can make out is “Sonic Rainboom”. The Princess gets up and rather hastily states that she has to leave, you nod and start to look over the dossier.
Project Induction: (well i see even with all of her spare time she still can't find the time to think of good names) Go into the Everfree forest and start a town. The reason for this is to expand our borders there will be little to none outside influence to your town the only contact will be a small caravan once in awhile and possible the occasional pony lost in the wild. you may accept anypony into town at anytime if and only if they chose to live there those who settle are stuck until my word states otherwise. (how odd normally she is more carefree about these things hmmm She seems serious about this i think i should actually pay attention to the dossier this time.) The town is be equal all ponies doing their fair share aiding others when they can and always looking out for the welfare of the town, there is to be no currency used. You shade are to send me anual letters about the town i want to know everything if you took in anypony, built a house, fires, wildlife, death, life, anything and everything once a month.
Fail-safe: Upon the slightest turn of events you are to chose a successor to your task in the case of your death.(just like the princess to make me feel safe about my job) In the case of a town member losing their sanity you are to send me a letter as soon as possible so i may contain your location with my magic; we can Not have any slight meeting with others if there is a possibility that somepony might give into his/her bloodlust during the meeting. If i do not receive a letter for 2 months i will presume that the town has been taken over and all documents of this mission will be destroyed, and all of the members of the town will be titled as traitors to canterlot.

Reason for accepting mission:   
Simply laughed and said because “I am your slave my princess.”(hmmm if i knew she would have written that down... ehh no matter to late now)
Talents:   
The Embodiment of the jack of all trades, is proficient in Construction, Metallurgy Blades, Commanding, Tactics, Expert at CQC, all forms of Persuasion, able to Inspire others to do practically anything, (aww you flatter me princess... alright enough of this i don't need to know my own talents)
Notable Occurrences:   
Since birth has been loyal to the princess and has done countless Deniable operations never stays in one location long enough to get to know anyone or rest always finishing the job than leaving.(well when you put it like that...) Very rarely he is seen walking around town gathering supplies or threw the woods hunting for supplies; only has been to one large social gathering and that was to protect the princess when there was a threat made on her life. Has only had one love and that was another similar to him, they were sent onto a mission...  
(i remember this all too well this report doesn't have nearly enough info into what truly happened the princess had to hide the majority of the details... to grim for the majority of her staff to understand.)  
It was three years ago me and Lilith were on our way to do our retiring job we were going to end it all with one final mission we said our goodbyes made our peace and were headed off to our last mission, after this we planned to go to some town where canterlot was in view... i believe she had her hopes set on Ponyville. I didn't really care as long as we were together i would of been happy. The Majority of the trip was smooth it was only at the halfway point that things got rough...  
“Shade!” Lilith called out  
Coming...(I can still remember the way she looked on the top of that peak with the sun over her. she looked like a goddess legs firmly planted into the ground her red mane waving in the wind as her white fur Shined like a thousand suns...)  
“Something is off about this place” Lilith stated while looking down into the forest below pointing at a clearing “That is supposed to be where our objective is but the encampment is gone... granted we don't have a good view point but...” i cut her off saying   
“i'll go scout it stay behind me by a mile, i may be coming back in a hurry” and with that i jumped into action jumping and running down the mountain as quickly as i could to get into the cover off the trees. once i made it into the trees it was odd as i galloped i could only hear my hoovesteps i wondered what it was but then it hit me... silence, absolute silence... not a noise to be heard. I had to slow down my pace drastically once i realized, i got to where the encampment should have been crouched down in a nearby bush and silenced my breath... from what i could tell it was pure and utter slaughter this didn't make sense there was 110 trained guards here; what could have done this their bodies were strung up everywhere slit down the middle to let blood and organs flow out freely possible for a warning or maybe... a ritual? All the skulls look like they were removed and the stench... normal dead don't smell like this everything was wrong about this. we were the only ones who were sent to this base to wipe it out the princess didn't tell anyone about this... not a soul was in sight so i decided to report my findings to Lilith but the moment i turned around lilith was looking straight at me, with those piercing red eyes she asked  
“You slowed down drastically.. why? Normally you would have been here and back by now”  
“The forest...”  
“what about it?”  
“Listen.”  
“ohh” i could see the expression change from curiosity to battle ready in a second...  
“The base that we were sent to destroy has been burnt to the ground except the group of buildings in the back... There's almost nothing here and the bodies of the guards...”  
“Mutilated.” she said with satisfaction in her tone...  
“Good saves us the trouble now lets go back before we overstayed our welcome”  
“We can’t.”  
“why? this looks alot like our work?”  
“Its nothing like our work the bodies were mutilated after death as in they were sacrificed and the markings... i have never seen them before... we have to investigate.”  
“Fine but if anything goes wrong on our last mission i swear...”  
“Yhe Yhe i know you'll kill me. Get the left side of the base i'll get the right we will regroup at what would've been the Command Center at the opposite end of the base.”  
“got it!” she said while taking off with so much speed it was if she was trying to do both sides with enough time to get back to canterlot so we could start our lives before the day was over...  
With a chuckle i walked around examining the corpses the stench was starting to get unbearable. all had the same means of death a direct slit in the neck or a stab in the spine avoiding certain areas like the heart... with all of them the majority of the bones were missing except the ones that were damaged. only specific organs were taken out i noticed the heart the liver the lungs and the brain... this had to of been planned no way it couldn't of been far too precise for animals... I counted a total of 56 corpses all in the same exact condition. I finally make it to the Command Center Lilith was waiting for me. She states with satisfaction  
“Don't know why you took so long all dead all in the same way nothings different”  
“The devils in the details my dear, now how many dead on your side i counted 56”  
“37” she states rapidly  
so a total of 93 thats odd there should be 110 soldiers...  
“Before we continue i found something, i think it was one of the people who killed off this base...” she states with concern  
“Show me”  
she led me to the corpse out of out of 93 trained soldiers they only got 1 it makes you wonder how hard and fast they hit.  
“He looks like he was killed by overcasting himself” she stated  
“You mean blood magic?”  
“Yes... i think i know who did this now that i look at the corpse more closely...”  
“How so?”  
“In my studies i ran across ancient cults that used blood magic, but it was at a great it toll on the bodies it's not uncommon for them to die while casting”  
“Do you know which group it is?”  
“I think it may just be rogues they outfit that he's wearing doesn't match anything i have seen before”   
i then lifted the hood from the cultists dark robe and what i saw was shocking  
“HIS FACE!” Lilith screamed  
its been torn apart and drained of everything you can see that the flesh literally was torn off like it was trying to escape the horrors that he was casting...  
i removed the rest of his outfit...  
“His whole body is the same. This was intentional he didn't overdue himself he meant to sacrifice himself...”  
“Crap... we just stepped into something that we shouldn't be anywhere close to. Come on lets get out of here it's our last mission lets not throw our lives away lets go and live together come on! i don't want to risk one of us dying now!” Lilith was practically screaming  
“im sorry Lilith... but i can't turn away not now im going in if you don't want to follow i'm fine with that go back and get help i'll attempt to contain them here.”  
“fine if you insist on staying... i can't let you do this alone...” she was much more calm now.  
As we marched towards the Command Center we were gearing up for war readying our weapons and sharpening our nerves. when we reached the door to the command center i stopped Lilith and said   
“look if we don't make it out of here...”  
she cut me off and stated “Now dont talk like that i trust that you know what you're doing and we will get out of here fine” and with a smirk she opened the door...
The door swung open and the sight i beheld was one of the most exhilarating sights i have ever seen.  
“WHAT IS THAT T-THING!!!” Lilith screamed at the top of her lungs  
“A blood golem!” i said with a smile on my face  
“you know what it is?!”   
“yes i have encountered them before but none of this size... it looks like a worthy foe!”  
as i took a closer look at it i can see what they did with the organs and bones they made a mangled mess the flesh looks like it was reformed to suit the golems needs and the bones look like they're constantly moving inside the golem.  
“Glad you could join us Shade” i heard the voice coming from behind the golem a hooded mare stepped out from behind   
“I did this all for you and your little pet you know” the hooded mare stated  
“WHO ARE YOU CALLING A PET!” Lilith looked as tho she was about to lunge right threw the golem and rip the hooded mares head off herself.  
“oh i'm sorry you didn't understand i meant you Lilith” She chuckled a little after she said that   
(i had to restrain Lilith at this point)  
“How do you know who we are and that we were going to come here?” i asked  
“oh now why does that matter your bodies will simply be sacrificed into my little puppet anyways” the hooded mare said confidently.  
i immediately looked at Lilith and stated “you can kill that cur if you want but first we must deal with the massive golem thats blocking us you take right and i'll take the left hit it hard and fast, knock out the legs and the body will fall than we will destroy it”  
“got it! but...” i had to cut her off there  
“but what?!”  
“its 5 times our size if i was standing on your head!”  
“the bigger they are” i laughed a little it seemed to calm her down. We readied our weapons me drawing my double edged/sided claymore and her drawing her scythe she always said that she enjoyed it with the mobility and the ability to hook into and swing around cutting them in half while moving tactically makes sense but not my style....   
“OH HAHA so you're going to test out the might of the Golem Very Well Let it Begin!!!! Sanguinem Golem PRÆCIPIO VOBIS ad Solvite haec stultis!!!”  
And with that a growl came from deep inside the golem that kept getting louder until my eardrums felt were going to implode, and then the sound of bones snapping occurred. The golems arms were replaced by Bone claymores Covered in spines and spikes it appeared that the golem was moving all of his bones to cover his flesh. i looked at Lilith expecting to have to calm her down but instead she looked excited i was never as proud of her than at that moment she had the same bloodlust in her eyes that i get. the moment was perfect so i shouted.  
“ALLRIGHT THIS IS IT LETS TAKE IT DOWN!!” and before i could finish she was already on its legs slashing down bit by bit...  
“ON IT!” She Proclaimed  
The Golems right leg was being hammered by Lilith's relentless attacks i went towards the left leg as fast as i could all my experience kicked in. i dove into its leg with a hard slash the Golem blocked it with both of its swords it was focusing purely on me. he thought of Lilith as a pest with her scythe while my weapon was recognized as a threat...   
“Lilith!”  
“YHE!” she replied tiredly   
“FALLBACK AND REST!” i jumped next to her  
“I'll distract it for a bit.” she fell back outside the Command Center  
“ALL RIGHT YOU BASTARD! LETS SEE HOW TOUGH YOU REALLY ARE!!”  
I jumped and lunged straight into its chest it moved both of its swords to block. Our blades clashed and i was face to face with a cracked bone blade... noticing its damaged blade it tried to repulse me but i persisted i hammered its right blade. The Golem actually looked like it was feeling pain? I stepped back and watched the Golem protect its injured blade like one would a gaping wound. I gathered all of my strength and lunged straight threw its exposed left leg bits of bone and flesh flew everywhere i quickly slid and aimed straight for the golems now exposed right blade while the golem was wounded and stunned i lunged towards its right blade the room echoed with the sound of bones snapping and shattering. i used the time i gained to regroup with Lilith as i left the Command Center the golem was howling constantly.  
“What did you do?” Lilith inquired  
“crippled it... its a golem tho so it will recover soon and it will be enraged...”  
“What do you need me to do?” She looked as if she was back at full potential  
“I need you to distract it i’m going to try to kill it outright by lunging straight threw its chest and while it's stunned and reforming the gap we cut it to pieces.”  
“Allright i'm set are y... look who's here...” the hooded mare was standing in the doorway while removing her hood she stated.  
“You may have hurt my creation but you will never be able to destroy it” her face was just as drained as the other if not more... she called for her puppet and it came out crashing through the wall.  
“Lilith NOW!”  
She charged straight at its head and with one swipe swung around its head and launched into the air plunging her scythe into its head causing outstanding damage to its head definitely drawing its attention.  
“NOW’S THE TIME SHADE!” Lilith shouted  
I lunge straight for its chest using my blade to force a spiral it readied itself for me ignoring blocking full on offence... it was enraged and i was spiraling towards it. it slashed at me nicking my rear leg, and my chest but still deep enough to bleed. With a thundering sound i made impact the Golem was downed and i was covered in blood and bone. i went to motion to Lilith to end it but i could barely move in fact my whole body was felt like it was being weighed down... all i could make out was Lilith cutting the golem to shreds and chuckling from the mare  
“Poison. your power is being drained your life force is being emptied... your mine now come to me!”  
my legs were moving on their own i couldn't even speak all i could hear was Lilith scream  
“Shade STOP don't do it!”   
I knew what was happening my mind was racing... i needed a way out but she was inside of me moving me against my will i had to make her lower her guard so i could break free even for a second...  
“awww look at you wounded and bleeding like a stuck pig now kneel at my hooves...”  
god this is degrading.... is all i could think while i kneeled down like a dog at her command.  
“HAHAHAHA it's almost like you're giving into it now look at your pet she's almost in tears now how about you go finish her off” as i looked up all i could see was Lilith almost crying shouting at me but i couldn't hear her. the sight crushed me i couldn't do this. i had to break her control and now!  
“yes my mistress” i stated in a complacent tone   
“WONDERFULL you've given in completely” she said and then i started to grin   
“and look at that, you like this as well end her and make it slow.”  
“oh i will end something but it won't be Lilith” i said while stabbing my blade straight threw that curs head.  
“SHADE DON'T DO THAT! I thought you turned on me. i-i... i almost broke down!”  
“tsk tsk tsk you should've know that i would of never turned my back on you... GET DOWN!!!!” the golem regenerated and was gathering the little strength it had remaining to end her i used what little power i had to leap into the air and slash the golem in half... without the mare controlling its armor and tactics it was simply an enraged beast flailing wildly. The Golem was finished and i stood in the middle of a pile of blood and bones my sight faded and i collapsed all i could hear and feel was “SHADE ARE YOU ALLRIGHT! SHADE ANSWER ME!” and her soft touch on my chest. It was at this moment i blacked out my last sight was of Lilith staring at me with tears in her eyes... it was kind of peaceful honestly i thought that if this was the end and i was to die here i would be happy saving my love, finishing my last job... closure... i thought about my time with Lilith my service to the princess and all the ways that the mission could've gone better i thought about how behind we were in returning to the princess and how she's reacting to it i assumed that she sent a clean up crew or another team to finish the job... and then i came to...
Lilith was sitting down reading something she didn't notice that i awoke yet. i looked around we were in the Command Center, again... this room wasn't blood covered it was the captain's room probably. i looked at what i was laying on blood stained velvet, yup captains room... wait bloodstained! oh yhe i took a few hits when the golem went bezerk... i glanced at my wound deeper than i thought the poison must of cut off more senses than i thought.  
“Lilith” i said  
“Shade! You're awake i thought you were going to die on me your wounds were terrible at first. I thought that it was the Golems blood that you were covered in but after i cleaned you off i realized how deep your wounds where most wouldn't of survive that you know...”  
“yhe... you would've survived this as well you know i trained you to be just as good as me. What are you reading?”  
“that mare’s journal she was so cocky that she was going to win that she wrote absolutely everything down. you still look like you've died and come back, go back to sleep.”  
“na im fine just have a terrible headache. how long was i out?   
“about 16 hours...”  
“16 hours!!” i was shocked nothing has ever made me pass out for more than 10 minutes at most.  
“the poison was strong and your wounds were deep it's a miracle you broke her control and managed to kill the Golem let alone survive the night. now get back to sleep unless you want me to make you pass out again...”  
“like you could...” i didn't believe she would do anything  
“is that a challenge?”  
“yes in fact. yes it is” she stopped reading the journal and walked over to me  
“ill continue reading this and inform the princess's other team that about our situation and get them to bring back a medical team and a large group to come secure the area for you” as she said this a smile was growing on her face...  
“i have a bad feeling about this... wait what are you?” she then turned around and kicked my wound... in the brief moments of consciousness i had left i heard her chuckle and saying   
“nighty night Shade i'll be waiting for you when you come to...” i was out again... this day couldn't get any worse... This time while i was out i thought about how everything was finally over and how i will be able to live my life in peace and boredom... (what little did i know at time)
I awoke in the same room the sheets were changed so i glanced at my wound by the looks of it a professional medic came by and patched me up i should be able to move around properly, not back at 100% but about 70%. i got up and out of the bed the journal that Lilith was reading was gone. A little off balance i took a couple of steps with my wound pulsating with pain every step i went out to look for lilith. the hallways had some dead guards still in it they must of been the remnants of the guard their bodies are fully intact just some odd markings on them. I continued to the main hall and i spotted lilith standing outside through the hole that the golem made when it crashed through the wall.  
“Lilith” i called out to her but she didn't turn around or answer me something is wrong... i moved closer to her slowly and staying hidden. then i saw her readying her weapon than a mix of skeletal pegasus wearing armor and wielding blades and hooded unicorns started assaulting her recklessly. the pegasus acting as vanguards to the unicorns who maintained their life force and occasionally tossing a spell or to they never focused with threw off their accuracy by a mile. Lilith was handling herself very well considering there was a horde of at least 20 of them assaulting her, they didn't even come close to her level in skill they did have numbers tho so the occasional flailing around randomly managed to nick her. she could control the crowd very well with her scythe every time a pegasus would fly by she would catch it with her scythe and hurl it into a magic bolt or at the casters themselves i decided to watch her in work normally when fighting with her side by side it's rare that you ever see each other in action. There was about 12 of them left she just got finished with a mage unfortunately that gave the opposition time to react to her and regroup and reform 7 skeletal pegasus and 5 mages remind they were focusing now harnessing all of their power to add spectral armor onto their loyal vanguards the vanguards flew at her with the ferocity of Hell Hounds out for the thrill of bloodshed nothing more Lilith simply stood there waiting for them as they drew closer she started charging she noticed their varying speeds decaying flesh doesn't fly well it seems she grabbed two with her scythe in one swipe and slid through the hole while sliding she moved her scythe upwards slicing one in half and forcing the others to obliterate the two on the blade taking the opportunity that she had she lunged straight towards the few remaining mages killing 1 outright in her charge she threw the corpse towards another distracting him while she cleaved another's head clean off stunned by the slaughter the mages tried to regroup but only led themselves into a butchery she jumped in the middle of them and span around the blade on her scythe fully extend cleaving the remaining mages to shreds the skeletal vanguards without anyone to maintain their life force crumbled. i walked into the open and announced my presence with “ Glad you're on my side Lilith”  
“Shade I see you're up, feeling better?  
“yes in fact i am my wounds are aching but they won't slow me down much. who where those people?”  
“do you remember that mare that you killed? she called herself Harbinger and she wanted you dead seems you pissed her off somehow...”  
“in our line of work that happens more than we would like, you know that...”  
“These people where her followers her goal was that if she couldn't kill you or control you that her followers would assault her in waves and surround us” she was face to face with me at this moment i could see that she was at this for a while she was scratched up and tired i could tell...  
“you were defending me... how long where they at this? and if we're surrounded how did i get patched up?  
“They have been assaulting since the sun went down i kinda lost track of time... and the unit that celestia dispatched was a pegasus unit they had a medic with them so i called them down to patch you up and tell them to bring reinforcements some of the soldiers stayed but they were wiped out... only a few of them got away...”  
“where are all the dead you said you were defending since the sun went down right it's almost dawn?  
“there all advanced in necromancy they call the dead and make them regroup back at their lines...”  
“Have you scouted their lines?”  
“yhe... they have well over 100 bodies waiting...” when lilith said this i could almost see some of her hope leaving her...  
“where being stalled... they could have wiped us out entirely in one blow...”  
“i know we have to wait for reinforcements tho we can't break the lines now...”  
“Lilith, thank you”   
“for what?”  
“for protecting me for this long i know you can't handle drawn out combat with your style and i don't want you to overdo yourself... so please do us both a favor and stand down and rest i'm up now you don't have to guard me any longer” she interrupted me with  
“NO! your injured and i refuse to let you go out there alone you cant be back at full with those wounds even the medic said that you shouldnt of lived before i stated that you were also poisoned!” i went to go get my blade and my gear on i attempted to stop myself from limping but to no avail.  
“i can't let you go out their alone... shade your not going out there alone you're injured and even without armor and your blade you're limping...” she was right i was in such a haste to prepare i didn't think about how i would fare in full gear...  
“look” i said “i know i'm injured but if anything happened to you it would tear me apart worse than any wound...”  
“AND HOW DO YOU THINK I FEEL ABOUT YOU!”  
i was startled... she never raised her voice when we were talking she always kept her calm and loving voice... now that i think back on everything tho i always put myself in front of her My body as a shield...  
“im sorry...” i said “i never thought about it till now but i'm always throwing myself in front of you trying to save you but i never stopped to think about how you felt about me and what it must look like to you when my body gets torn to shreds in front of you...”  
“Its fine” her voice returned to normal “whatever happens from now on we do it together from now on ok?”  
“allright. now help me get this gear on.” she moved over and helped me get my armor on (well most of it i had to have some spots open because of the wounds” as i watched her help me... i couldn't help but stare into her eyes the same loving yet piercing eyes that i can always turn to for aid... i couldn't help myself my body just instinctively said “I love you Lilith, no matter what... you know that right?”  
she smiled and said “of course and i love you shade” she hid her face i assumed she was tearing up... she calmed herself and said “alright that should do it for you... now lets get out their and end all of them.”  
“after you” i said as we walked out the door into what seemed to be our final battle field...  
The wave that Lilith just finished off where waiting outside to haunt us the corpses that were not completely annihilated and could still stand came back not to mention the remnants of the skeleton vanguards either reshaped or gathered the bones of their fallen comrades to rebuild themselves. lilith cut in while i was watching  
“they do this wave after wave it was tough having to kill some of them more than twice...”  
“you do have to admit tho it is a good strategy allow your soldiers to fight on even after death...” i stated  
“And that is what makes you such a brilliant commander you're willing to do what it takes to win even tho it may be frowned upon”  
“yes but if you remember i left my command to many people disliked my strategies”  
“and if you remember you never lost a single battle and your soldiers rarely died...” she rebutted  
“Look i will gladly discuss my tactics or reasoning later when we're sitting around with nothing to do right now i'd rather focus on the growing number of opponents ahead of us”  
the skeletal vanguards even had time to go above and beyond with their repairs they took the parts that they couldn't use for their structure and used them as armor.   
“so how are we going to do this?” i asked  
“aren't you normally the tactician?”  
“yes when i'm at my full at the moment i'm focusing on nulling the pain and how i'm going to kill them, and also you have had more practice against these troops.”  
“fine lets see... i'll draw the vanguards while you hit the mages, call out if you want aid.” basic but still effective i thought... but then i realized she's been fighting for hours and hasn't had the pleasure to sleep or eat it appears she's tired and worn out as well...   
“Are you ready?” i asked   
“yes but are you?” she asked looking at my wound  
“it won't slow me down, and yes i am ready i always am! you lead and i'll follow.”  
she lead the charge i only had a glance at their formation planing is not my position now tho im meant to cover the leads back no matter what while keeping a steady pace its a basic yet effective strategy. the formation that they had skeletal soldiers in front with blades waiting to meet us while the now undead mages sat back at casted everything they had i assumed that because of their lack of control and desire to live they would cast more suicidal spells... we were nearing them i had to focus...  
Lilith was hit by the front guard in the charge but she hit back at least 10x as hard the front was obliterated i only had to quickly swipe at two to finish them off.  
“Shade quick left!”  
i lunged left and slid we were to take out this line from both lines and meet middle. the skeletons barely stood a chance their bodies were frail and their armor weak i didn't even have to swipe at some of them to end their pitiful existence. Lilith and i clashed blades in the middle using the force we divided and played the third line by pretending to use the same tactic only with one difference Lilith's weapon had a allure to her no matter what happens as long as she lives her scythe will always return to her in a spinning wheel of death that i had the unpleasant occurrence of running into once... needless to say the third line was ground into bone meal with their own tactic of circling and altering their gaps.  
Fourth line i thought mages i went to lunge towards it to follow Lilith's lead but my leg jammed up... “Damn Wound!”i yelled in pure annoyance as i said this Lilith replied with a quick   
“Stay back i got these” she then proceeded to throw her scythe mid air impaling a mage directly in the head diving towards her scythe it returning to her mid air landing and with one slash annihilating any hope of those living corpses coming back... this may have been my bloodloss but that was one of the most gorgeous things i have seen in my existence... quickly running back to me she said “Don't stand near them they explode after death if the body is too far gone” and practically on cue their remnants of the mages flesh exploded leaving their bones scattered around aimlessly...  
By the time we caught our breaths the second wave was incoming fast... this time they brought some of their more powerful soldiers probably because they noticed that i was awake... Our opposition this time was a few regular blood Golems compared to their master one tho they were nothing, some skeletal vanguards grouping up above the golems they only numbered around 8 these looked more vicious tho, then what i assumed was their true shock troops came heavily armored troops covered in bone armor using their magic they made some sort of spectral armor around themselves and it seemed they used the bones of their fallen foes to improve their weapons what i assumed was the leader had the largest most “elegant” design.  
“Lilith, the plan?” i asked   
“i'll hit the air, you hit the ground troops when i'm done i'll assist you”  
This time they were the ones to charge putting us on the defensive or at least they thought i met their Golems head on slashing at two of their legs the two that i slashed were prepared and lunged their swords backwards flipping backwards they may not have the strength of the larger one but they have ability to make up for it. after they flipped my charge led me straight into them again i had no choice but to climb one, they were persistent slashing towards me their swords met so i ran up onto the one on the right and used its body to propel me towards its ally on the left i impaled its chest with my blade the impact was beautiful the splash of blood, the crack of bone and the howl of a dying golem. Using all my strength and the golems own body as a grip i pushed my sword threw its chest ending its life i dismounted it and quickly turned to face my adversary’s it seemed that the shock troops caught up to us and were surrounding me four went at me surrounding me i could feel their magic trying to subdue and it was growing more intense as they moved in i looked around to find the weakest link but there was none as i readied myself i heard the sound of Lilith's scythe impaling a skeleton the shock troops looked up to see Lilith riding a skeletal vanguard directly into the one infront of me i used the opportunity that Lilith gave me to break their hold i dashed left and decapitated one of them swiftly their focus shifting to me Lilith drove her scythe directly into the head of the one she chased into. Their magic bronken they tried to retreat casting bone spears towards me i shattered them using my blade and swiftly executed the cowards. All that remained were the two Golems Lilith and i both went for the one on the right i shouted   
“Jump!” she instinctively jumped and landed straight on the right side of my blade i launched her towards the Golem. With deadly accuracy and flare she caught onto the golems chest and twirled around it until it lay there in half the last Golem was retreating and had already made it into the tree line so i let it go...
I went to talk to Lilith she was still trying to dislodge her scythe from the golems spine.   
“any chance that this bases supplies have any food in them?”  
“probably you go check i'll stand on guard, i'll shout if i see anything” i could see her realization that she hasn't eaten since we set out come over her face  
i went to the bases supply shed   
“jackpot” i said to myself and grinned... there was a crate full of apples that was untainted by the necromancers filth there was also i prepared two serving appels and called Lilith over she came in and a large smile was on her face.  
“this happy for food?” i asked  
“not just the food, i saw the beginning of the princesses army start to cross the peak of the mountain they'll be here in a couple of hours”  
“than eat quickly once our opposition notices they'll become more desperate” as we ate Lilith couldn't stop smiling she noticed that i was wondering about it and she said  
“i was starting to think that we were going to die here i'm just... so unbelievably happy that we're actually going to be able to make it out of here alive!”  
“i understand... you know i have been on more missions like this than i would like to recall” we finished up our meal and went outside to face the hordes
The remaining forces were standing outside waiting for us their numbers have dwindled but still... more than we could handle their mages were doing something but it was impossible to see they had far too many soldiers guarding them... then a familiar hooded mare started walking towards us she left her soldiers behind her she had chains that were sustaining her spirit in her body she unveiled her self... fresh face fresh body how could this be their new leader?  
“well well well... your little pet handles herself well holding off my forces for quite a while... its a pity that i didn't run into her she would've made an excellent necromancer.”  
“Who are you!?” i demanded  
“my my... so feisty well if you insist... I AM HARBINGER!”  
“lies harbinger is dead” Lilith said  
“HAHAHA you think i'm bound to one body like all of you are no... when i die i simple get my followers to capture my spirit and put it into one of their bodies.”  
“So those chains are for what exactly”  
“oh. these i'm so glad you noticed their not to bind me into this body if thats what you think... you see i'm sucking out all of the power from my followers to destroy you... speaking of which” she turned towards Lilith “there almost fully drained...”  
i turned towards lilith and said “if she does anything run... just run towards our forces and dont look back...” she cut me off with a quick  
“NO! we started this together and we are going to end this together no matter what happens!”  
“allright then charge her!”  
we went at her full force cutting left and right in our movements to avoid any attacks... it was to no avail tho she simply waved a hoof at us and knocked us back with pure spiritual energy  
“HA! you actually think you can beat me when i'm on my guard you simply got lucky last time you killed me now you don't stand a chance... i'm at my full power not to mention the power i have drained from my followers.  
“i won't let this happen...” i said...  
“oh what are you going to do about it”  
“END YOUR MISERABLE EXISTENCE!” i shouted charging straight at her   
“oh really now.. come entertain me!” she attempted to push me back with her spectral force i cleared it by using my blade to launch me upwards landing close to her she shouted and the souls of the damned came forth to repel me slashing and clawing their way towards me i jumped left to avoid them they predicted i only had one option go through them... i flattened my blade to protect my body and lunged i made it threw.... my armor torn and my flesh ripped i continued onwards towards her the chains that were connected to her where breaking slowly there were only 4 left i couldn't let her drain all of her minions! i continued my advance towards Harbinger she laughed as she did the ground rumbled throwing off my balance she managed to hit me with a blast knocking me back to where i started from i could see Lilith Charging Harbinger as well... Harbinger picked her up and hurled her into the Command Center. i went towards her again charging she grabbed me as well i could hear screams from the souls that she could command as i struggled to get out she made the spectres push inwards i felt as if my body was going to implode, after a minute of her torture Lilith came around behind her while she was distracted and went for her throat... she noticed her action and pushed herself upwards releasing me from her grip she only had a single chain left on her at this point... she was laughing still airborn i called out for Lilith   
“Lilith same tactic as the golem!” she jumped i caught her with my blade and launched her straight at Harbinger she went into a spiral Harbinger realizing her situation panicked and sacrificed her back half of her body for a chance to still continue the fight... the front half of Harbinger landed in front of me lilith landed a short ways away...  
“i would kill you but you would simply spirit away again its best you live in that husk for now...” i said while walking away from Harbinger and towards Lilith... “Lilith, it's over...” the screams of pain and torment coming from Harbinger stopped and were replaced with a growing laughter  
“YOU THINK THIS IS OVER DO YOU?!? WELL I'LL JUST HAVE TO SHOW YOU THE PER*cough*SISTENCE OF MY WILL!!!” she screamed while coughing out blood and then proceeded to laugh again i turned to her and said   
“your army is weak and your plan failed now just quit while you keep what is left of your life if you struggle anymore you will lose what remnants of life force that body has left...” her laughter stopped and a scream that that sounded like the very bowels of hell were let loose upon this world erupted from within her.... the last chain broke... a Specter emerged from what was left of Harbingers current body and went straight for Lilith... i watched in horror as the specter drove itself into Lilith as she screamed in pain as her very soul was being destroyed. the screaming stopped and was replaced with laughter  
“she's strong she's fighting for control even tho i expelled her from her bodie...”  
“HOW DARE YOU! HOW FUCKING DARE YOU DEFILE LILITH'S BODIE YOUR FILTH!!”  
“oh now now is that any way to speak to your love?”  
“YOU ARE NOT LILITH HOW DARE YOU ATTEMPT TO CALL YOURSELF LILITH!!!”  
“hmmm odd her weapon isnt responding to me....”  
“THAT SCYTHE IS CONNECTED TO LILITH NOT YOU!! EVREN IT CAN SENSE YOUR FILTH!!!”  
“no matter i can still use it in its basic state now come on... fight me fight your love!”  
and here i was... the body of my love charging at me i could do nothing but defend as i watched in horror as she slashed and attempted to end my existence... i couldn't take this i have to disengage i thought... i launched myself up onto the nearest rooftop and watch Lilith's body attempt to end my life... she stopped her attack and said   
“come down here shade be with me we can go live out our lives just like we planned...”  
“NO! YOU'RE NOT LILITH...”  
“well you certainly won't fight me, come down here and be with your love” i don't know what came over me magic... desperation... sadness... loss of will... hope that it could still be Lilith... but it was something i jumped down and walked towards her with my blade down...  
“aww you're just as cute as i remember you all depressed and pathetic... you know what i'll give you a treat...” she dropped her armor and exposed herself to me  
“come mount your love!” she said in a longing tone  
“i refuse... you're not lilith” i said...  
“You still refuse me?! hmmm no matter i tried to be nice but if you continue to refuse i'll just have to end you. so i'll ask you one last time will you come and mount your love?”  
“NO! Just end my life and my misery please i beg of you” tears came over me... i couldn't control it my life had no meaning to me at this point...  
“so... you want your pain to end... very well i believe i can oblige that wish after giving me this outstanding vessel...” she started to charge at me scythe readied... my mind was blank and pure instinct took over my body was controlling itself. i could only watch in horror as i was fighting my love... Lilith... our blades clashed agin and agin and agin... every time they did i was staring face to face with her looking into those eyes which once held so much love for me now only desire to witness my death... the fight raged on and as i stared at her i couldn't help but think of all the times that we fought together all the times that i would give my life for her.... than she stopped moving... “SHADE IF YOU HAVE ANY LOVE FOR ME AT ALL END THIS AND KILL ME!!” she shouted  
“LILITH!!! I CAN'T KILL YOU.... i just can't...”  
“END THIS PLEASE I BEG OF YOU IT FEELS AS IF MY VERY SOUL IS BEING RIPPED APART” she said with tears in her eyes... i said nothing...  
“SHADE I COMMAND YOU TO KILL ME!” she shouted  
my mind went blank and i lunged at her my blade piercing her chest... in utter horror i walked back slowly trying to realize what i just did... i watched her body fall to the ground lifeless...  
“thank you shade... and i'm sorry it was foolish of me to be hit... i love you shade...”  
“LILITH!! don't be sorry it's fine you just have to live. LILITH do you hear me don't die on me!!”  
“you know that i can’t live from this it's allright... i don't blame you... just do me one favor?  
“Anything Anything at all just name it!”  
“Live” she used her last breath to say this...  
and here i stood in the middle of death and destruction standing over my now deceased love that i killed... i looked around... the princesses army was already here and the battle was almost won... i picked up Lilith's body and walked straight through the battlefield... the princess herself was here waiting in the back of her army like the coward she is... i walked towards one of her guards and said   
“i demand to see the princess...” he readied his weapon and said   
“you have two options die or walk away.” he motioned for his allies to come near him  
“Do you have any idea who i am...”  
“No why would i your probably some radom asswhole who wandered onto a battle feild! and who's that slut you're carrying...” i sliced his throat and slaughtered his allies and walked towards the princess... motioning her guards to back off she staited  
“Ah shade you're still alive glad to see it... what's wrong with lilith?”  
“Shes dead...”  
“what happened?”  
“you'll have my full report later” i walked away. she called after me  
“Shade i did not dismiss you... and you will give me your report now!”  
“Princess!” i said turning around “if you want my report i'll write on your mutilated corpse with your blood!” her guards readied themselves   
while waving for her guards to back off she said “very well... if thats how you want this go on... i'll clean up this mess.”  
i walked over the mountain and into the forest... carrying Lilith and her weapon...  
Lilith always said that if she ever died i was to lodge the scythe into her bodie... she hated the idea of her being food for magots. so i did as she requested of me i stabbed her scythe into her body the scythe absorbed her and its colors dulled... it two was mourning over the loss of its master... i made my peace and went back to canterlot licked my wounds and went out on any mission that i could get my hands on...

“So how far did you get Shade?” the princess asked  
”I was a little busy with memories” i said... “so only to the end of my report”  
“any questions so far?”  
“a few... first why did you actually put down what i said when you asked if i would do the mission...”  
“are you saying your not my slave?” she said with a hint of disappointment in her voice  
“well... i am but that's not the point.... you didn't have to actually put that down...”  
“ohhh Yhe! So will you escort me into my chambers” she said with a bit of excitement  
“*sigh* princess... if you're not going to take this seriously i'll just leave” i started heading towards the door   
“Oh Calm down Shade i was only joking, i won't be seeing you for quite some time you know”  
“yhe i figured as much” i said turning around “so... i will be gone for a while it seems”  
“you might... or you might be gone for only a couple of months it all depends” she smiled   
“this isn't an ordinary mission... i want you to know that this mission has some of the most advanced operatives on it...” i cut her off saying   
“now don't go ruining the rest of the story for me”  
“fine i won't... wait you said you had a few questions what are the rest?”  
“when you put that mission into the dossier why where you vage and why did you chose it?”  
“well... we took in a lot of people and most came from selective groups and organizations so it was kind of a test those who could find out what really happened to you will treat you a tad bit different they'll know what defines you. I put that mission in their so people could understand who you are a tad bit more you will be their leader you know”  
“WAIT! I'M GOING TO LEAD THEM!!”   
“Yup, you're going to lead them you're more qualified than anyone...” i cut her off  
“Why wasn't this at least in my section of the dossier”  
“Because i wanted to tell you myself, the look on your face was priceless” she said threw the growing smirk on her face  
“why do you do this to me...”  
“because i hate you haha!”  
“i love you too princess” i said while walking out the door  
“don't rush their you'll be there for quite some time!” she called out to me before i was out of range. “Shit! i forgot to ask her about when she left...” i rushed back in to catch her before she left.  
“Shade... what are you doing here.... OH have you come to take me up on my offer!”  
“i feel like i should just leave again now” i said noting a purple unicorn filly standing next to her  
“Who's that? i asked pointing towards the filly”  
“oh! this talented young mare is Twilight Sparkle” the princess said   
“Well than hello Twilight. its a pleasure to meet you my name is shade.” i said while bowing   
“Oh hello Shade its a pleasure to meet you to!” Twilight said excitedly   
“Twilight go with my guards they'll help you get in order.” the princess said as the guards escorted her out of the room  
“So, talented? How so?” i said while watching her leave  
“she has more magic in her than most experienced mages we'll see how she ends up tho.”  
“at that age... impressive. My apologies for barging in but i have to ask what was that thing you rushed out for Sonic Rainboom or something?”  
“why do you care?”she said  
“because i want to know. I don't want to be pondering what it is for the next couple months.”   
“hmm if you insist. Alright there's also a young pegasus that managed to do something more impressive than any pegasus has done before. She actually went fast enough to create a rainbow.” she said with a serious look on her face  
“hmmm it seems this places youth has much talent” i said with a slight chuckle “So who is this pegasus that can create rainbows?”  
“if you're heading by ponyville you'll find out... and if you run into her tell her to come back here and give me her answer.”  
“allright... answer to what?”  
“something that does not concern you. Now goodbye and good luck!”  
“allright cya princess” I left to ponyville to look for that pegasus that can create rainbows.
I was stopped directly outside of the castle by some unicorn mare she was almost pure black the only variation in her color was in her eyes they had thin stripes of blue in them.   
“Excuse me but are you Shade?” she asked  
“I am, may i ask who you are?”  
“My name is Ragna, i have been looking for you for quite some time”  
“Really now, should i grab my weapon?” i said shooting a glance at my weapon on my back  
“No no no i'm peaceful i came to talk to you.”  
“Allright than Ragna i'll talk i have one question tho you called me out by name are you part of the mission?”  
“If by mission you mean Project Induction than yes. I came to talk to you i heared that you were going to lead us.”  
“so she informed everyone but me awesome...” Ragna chuckled when i said that  
“look Shade i know about your past and i looked into that mission with Lilith and Harbinger and i felt like i should tell you that i have practiced necromancy, not all necromancers are the same. Throughout my life i have tried to help people but i always end up getting shunned and they reject me once they find out. I don't want there to be any hatred where we are going so i... i don't know... i think i'm trying to ask for your trust.”  
“Hey look Ragna its fine i judge people by their actions.”  
“Thanks Shade mind if i travel with you?”  
“Be my guest. And when we get their if anyone gives you any trouble tell me ok?”  
“Allright i will. so where are we going.”  
“Well i'm going to stop by the town down their for a bit to look for somepony.”  
“Allright i could use a meal” and with that we headed off for the town
When we arrived at the town Ragna went to go find something to eat so i started to ask around for the pegasus who could create rainbows i was told to go by the town hall so i did and sure enough i saw a cyan pegasus with an interesting rainbow mane flying around cheering so i called out to her  
“Why are you so happy?”  
“OH YOU DON'T KNOW!?” she replied flying next to me   
“Know what?” i asked  
“I WENT SOOOO FAST THAT I CREATED A RAINBOW!!!!” she screamed into my ear  
“Oh is that so. That is extremely impressive Congratulations!”  
“Thank you mister!” (at least she calmed down a little from that complement)  
“My name is Shade.”  
“Mines Rainbow Dash fastest flyer in all of Equestria!!!” (not with the shouting again...)  
“Look it has been a pleasure talking with you but i came here to tell you that the princess is awaiting your response.”  
“Oh yhe i forgot about that.”  
“Just fly past and tell her she's not one to be kept waiting.”  
“You work with her don't you?”  
“you could say that...” i said trying to think of a way out of the conversation “Hey how about you go prove to her your speed and get their as fast as you can!”  
“Is that a challenge” she replied with a growing grin on her face  
“You bet it is!” i said (with hope in my mind) She raced off after a second of thought Shouting back to me  
“Thanks for the message Shade!” (well at least i don't have to explain my job now...)  
I went off to go find Ragna... after a brief look around at the nearest gathering places i decided to walk back towards town square maybe she was waiting for me i took a shortcut through an alleyway when i heard Ragna call out to me  
“Shade! Ready yourself!” she was jumping off the rooftop with a blade and coming straight at me i grabbed my sword parried and mounted her while she was down with my blade at her throat.  
“EXPLAIN YOURSELF!” i demanded   
“Just a test”she said smiling “your file said that you were heavily trained in armed combat So i wanted to see how much. Now if you don't mind” she said nudging my weapon with her hoof  
“Don't do that unless you want to be killed.” i said putting my weapon away  
“Could you get off me now?”  
“Not yet i have a few questions first.”  
“Oh good i was starting to think that you just liked this position”  
“Where did you get that blade? And who trained you to use it?” i asked  
“I found the blade off a corpse in the woods when i was little and i kinda trained myself.”   
“Is that so.” i said while dismounting her  
“Look let's head away from this town i think i may be able to help you”  
“Are you saying your going to train me?”  
“I said that i might be able to help you.”  
“Fair enough well what are you waiting for lets go!” she said jumping off her back and onto her hooves than we headed off into the forest
When we reached the forest i told her to take a few swings at a tree. She packs a punch with that old blade after about 20 swings the tree collapsed she looked exhausted so i stepped in  
“Your tired come rest.”  
“Na i'm fine i don't need to rest she said while focusing her magic into her horn” casting some spell she restored herself back to full  
“What kind of magic is that?” i asked   
“Nothing you have seen before it's a variation of necromancy and at least 4 other types i use necromancy mainly in most of my spells”  
“But doesn't necromancy apply to only the dead?”  
“Not exactly basic spells do but when you combine them with others it can work on the living as well.”  
“Interesting... now about your style it's not bad but it could use some work. You pack quite a punch not many can knock down a tree like that with a blade that old.”  
“Thanks. There aren't many blacksmiths around here so i have to salvage what i can.” she started to stare at my weapon and said “I want to see what you can do with that” she said pointing at my claymore  
“I'm fine i don't like to show off.” i said  
“No its fine i want to see what someone can do with a weapon there good with!”  
“All right stand back how many pieces do you want the tree in” i said readying my weapon and picking a tree that had mild spacing between the others  
“hmmm how about 6”  
I calmed my nerves and charged towards the tree slashing threw a bit above the base using the other trees as jump pads i reflected off the tree on the other side and launched myself upwards making another clean cut in the tree landing on the tree opposite of the one i jumped from i attempted to get as much air as i could before slashing downward and cutting the tree into 6 relatively even pieces. As i turned to look at Ragna the expression on her face was outstanding mouth open, jaw dropped, and eyes fully open she was staring in awe at me so i put my weapon away and talked to her.  
“Impressed?” i asked  
“That was outstanding! Do you think i could do that!?”  
“Maybe one day but before you do anything you need a better weapon” i said  
“Speaking of witch why do you carry two” she said looking at the gray and dulled out scythe   
“This was Lilith's...” i said  
“Oh... i'm sorry. But do you mind if i ask how did she use it it looks like its on its last legs”  
“Its not a problem i don't mind talking about her or her weapon. After Lilith died the blade grayed out and has been decaying since. I believe its mourning Lilith's death in its own way. How about you give it a try?” i said taking the scythe and impaling it into the ground  
“Are you sure?” she asked moving towards it cautiously   
“Lilith's gone and there's nothing i can do about it. Trust me she won't be needing her weapon anymore Also it'll be nice to not have to carry two weapons around with me.”  
she grasped the scythe and pulled it out of the ground saying  
“This is odd i feel it calling to me...”  
“The scythe is magic” i said. As i did the scythe started to gain its color again and reshape itself into a different variation of itself. But the scythe wasn't the only one changing Ragna’s eyes turned into a familiar crimson red and gained that piercing look but still retained the blue stripes. I said laughing  
“Ha looks like it likes you!” The transformation was over and she looked as if she was about to pass out  
“Shade... Help.” she said as she passed out. I quickly got by her and checked her. All of her vitals were in check, there was no noticeable damage done to her. So i picked her up and set up camp and waited for her to wake up. It was late and all looked clear so i thought that it was safe enough might as well go to sleep for a bit. As i closed my eyes i kept hearing noises in the woods visibility was poor and it was pretty dark now. I decided that i wasn't getting any sleep tonight so started to patrol the area to keep myself occupied
For about two hours i walked around in circles. Tired and bored i decided to go back to the camp and try to fall asleep. When i got back to the camp i checked up on Ragna She was still doing fine so i sat down opposite of her and closed my eyes. And there i sat thinking about the Scythe what it is, what it did, and what might of happened to Ragna. It would look awful if i lost a member or my team already.  
“Shade” something was calling out to me it sounded foreign yet familiar how odd.   
“Shade” it was still calling to me   
“Don't say my name again i'm up.” i stated. i opened my eyes as my vision cleared i saw what was calling me it was... odd it had the appearance of a wolf yet it was more of an apparition it looked like it was being held together by shadows  
“What are you?” i asked  
“I am you or at least i am a vision of you.”  
“I'm not a wolf and nor am i dead so you're not me.”  
“Believe what you will i am here for one reason and one reason alone”  
“So i'm here talking to myself that is not myself... Great! Look just say your message and begone with you so i don't have to commit suicide within the next couple of seconds because in my experience things like this end badly if dragged out.” my eyes were fully clear now it was made of pure shadows and eyes that are as red as my own. To top all of that off i was now face to face with it.  
“This “Mission” this “Project Induction” that you are going on... prepare yourself and those around you for this mission Will Not end well... and whatever happens don't give in.” it said as it vanished  
“Great so not only was that confusing enough it... i left by leaving myself with questions.” i said while getting up. Well i did here about strange things happening in this forest perhaps i can just ignore this as one of those odd things... one way or another i'm not getting any sleep tonight...  
One hour... Two hours... Three hours, the sun came up and with the sun so did Ragna it appears. As she stood up she wobbled and was about to fall so i went over and caught her she shook her head and looked at me startled she backed off.  
“Calm down its me Shade”  
“Shade... did you know about this?” she said dazed and confused still  
“Know about what?”  
“This scythe it... it talks to its master and grants them... powers and... memories.”  
“What powers and what memories?” i asked  
“It hasn't gone over everything yet but... i know about you and Lilith.”  
“Has it brought up anything about what happens when you die?”  
“Y-yes it has”  
“You are to be impaled with it after death” i said  
“Yes that was the deal...”  
“What deal?”  
“It takes my energy, my memories, my everything and in return i get all of its past owners experience...” i looked at her not knowing what to say  
“I took the deal by the way. And Shade”  
“Yhe?”  
“Lilith loved you. now get some sleep you look like you've seen a ghost.”  
“you know what i'll take you up on your advice.” looking at the scythe i said “i'll just leave the two of you alone. And Ragna.”

“If you see a ghost tell me...” as i said that i laid down and went to sleep
When i woke up the sun was still out and Ragna was practicing with her new weapon. “Ragna so hows the weapon?” i asked through a yawn   
“It handles well and it reacts to my actions i've never even heard of anything like this”  
“Weapons like that are... hard to come by and harder to make that one has been passed down a lot thats all i know.”  
“It has been passed down 47 times that it has recorded that is.”  
“Wow... i thought it was old but that old...” i said pondering. “Do you still need training?”  
“No you already trained me.” she said  
“Wait since... oh the memories.”  
“Yup, all the training in not even a fraction of the time”  
“Effective yet... I have a feeling that it could backfire sometimes.” i said  
“I'll deal with it when it comes up don't worry.”  
“I'm not worrying. Also we should start heading out now we're wasting time here.”  
“Yhe lets we have a long way to go before we hit the site.” And with that we set off on our journey during the days we walked and during the nights we camped. A couple of times i caught Ragna talking to herself trying to sort her memories out i didn't talk to her about it because i can figure what it would be like sorting out 47 different lifetimes and trying to figure what memories are yours or not and also her whole life she has been treated as an outcast for something that she uses only to help people i kinda want to give her a place where she can feel accepted. When we got to the 2/3 way marker we grouped up with some of the princesses soldiers that she sent to aid me just a small squad of 7 but still hard workers and loyal to me they will definitely come in handy i decided that i should have a little... chat with them before they start assuming things.  
“I am honored to have all of you under my command and i know that all of you are loyal but i know there are rumors about me that have been floating around and i would like to deal with that now so i don't have to deal with it when we are more... pressed for time. So go on ask me anything that you want.” i said  
“Have you dealt with demons?”   
“Are you a walking corpse?”  
“Are you the princesses child?”  
“Did you kill Lilith?”  
“I have dealt with demons and i have dealt with angels neither are worthy of making a deal with me. No i am not a corpse i am very much alive even tho i shouldn't be. No i am not i don't even remember who my parents are or where i was born. And yes... i did kill Lilith i put my blade threw her... and it was the hardest thing i have ever had to come to terms with.” I answered their questions with honesty and it appeared to calm most of them and when it appeared that all questions were answered the squad leader spoke up.  
“Shade, i know of your methods in fact i served under you in two different battles your tactics are unforgiving and you are brutal, are we merely pawns to you?” he asked with a cold gaze in his eyes  
“My tactics may seem like they are... foolish and i am simply wasting away your lives but you have to understand that i try to save every soldier i possibly can! There is a reason that I lead the charge, i always take the most dangerous task so i can save some of you! There are and will always be casualties but if you follow my orders there will be less. Every single soldier that dies under my command pains me greatly... sometimes to the point where i go mad with rage and leap head first into the enemy's lines. But if the time comes yes... yes you are grunts and all of you are... merely pawns... i-i am sorry.”  
“Sir whatever commands you give i will follow to the very death.” he said proudly “And i'm pretty sure that my men feel the same ain't that right men!” he said looking back at his men  
“Yes Sir!” they said in unison  
“I am glad to hear. Now about my companion her name is Ragna and she dose study necromancy.” as i said that i looked over at Ragna she was starting to back off as all the soldiers glanced at her. The soldiers were mumbling things that i could barely make out.  
“Necromancer! Why are we with her she will kill us all.”  
“First chance i get i'm killing her off...”  
“I'm not letting her get close to me...”  
“Why is shade working with that filth.”  
“EVERYONE!” i shouted to get their attention and motioned for Ragna to come up next to me. “I know that it is instilled within all of you that necromancers are vile and only want to kill all of you off and mutilate your corpses. But i am asking you all... no Commanding all of you to leave your bias mindsets behind you... if their are any problems take it up with me i'd give my life for any one of you and a hundred times for her she's kind and compassionate give her a chance before you disregard her as evil.” i could see that i put some guilt into all of their minds as they looked up at her.   
“If any one of you have any lingering thoughts about her walk away now where we are going we need complete trust in each other anything less and where all dead!” one of the soldiers started to walk away  
“SOLDIER WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” i called out to him  
“She is a vile necromancer she deals with the dead and should be dead i refuse to work with one such as her.” he continued to walk away   
“Lilith step back” i whispered to her as she did i said  
“All those who will work with Ragna stand by her. All others walk away with that coward.”  
I watched and waited none moved for quite some time until the commander walked by Ragna and said   
“It's an honor to work with you and i would gladly die by your side” After the commander said that the rest of his soldiers followed his lead and pledged their loyalty to Ragna. The look on her face was amusing in a way she looked... happy and at peace... one thing's for certain that smile on her face isnt going away for a while. But than i had to deal with the one that was walking away i cut him off in his path back saying  
“My apologies but this must be done.” As i grabbed my weapon he screamed and started to run.  
“COWARD USE WHAT LITTLE SELF RESPECT YOU HAVE AND AT LEAST PUT UP A FIGHT!” i shouted to him but he continued to run... he didn't get far... normal guard armor is rather restricting i cut him down and went back to the group. After i regrouped we started to head towards our destination. As we walked i talked with the commander and his troops talked with Ragna. As it turned out the commander was at my side in both of the battles he was side by side with me in all of my charges.  
“We never knew what to think of you.” he said  
“Taction one second and a god of war the next you're a sight to behold on the battlefield and you saved my life more than once... in fact i volunteered my squad the moment i heard you were leading this operation.”  
“I am glad to hear that coming from a soldier and i am glad to know that a veteran is going to be by my side. You fought well during my time fighting besides you.” i replied  
We laughed and talked some more i looked back at Ragna they appeared to be getting along well she even helped some of the men with their scars. As we crossed the last hill before our destination i could notice the other members waiting they had already cleared out a large area and started to build. I turned to my group and said   
“looks like we're late to the party... well lets go make ourselves known!” we started heading for the clearing. The whole town stopped what they were doing and gathered to “welcome” us. As we cleared the forest and walked into the clearing i started spotting out the import ones out of the group... A rather large stallion was standing in gleaming white armor with gold tint and an over decorated sword most likely a templar could be trouble. A mare in worn clothing walked up to me and blocked my view of the rest. She announced herself with a overexcited  
“Welcome to our town you must be shade. My names Oliva! Oh and you must be Ragna... wait what happened to your eyes?”  
“MY EYES?!” Ranga said startled and feeling her eyes...  
“When the scythe transformed it also transformed you but don't worry its just your eyes and they took on a gorgeous red it suits you well with those blue strikes through your eyes.” i said  
“Really?” Ragna said while taking her scythe and looking at herself in the blade. “i suppose they look good... i'm just going to have to get used to them”  
“Hey!” i said looking at Oliva “Where tired got a place for us to rest up and get a meal?”  
“You bet we do! But before you do where claiming land you should probably pick a spot before all of the better ones are taken! The chow and beds are over there” Oliva said while pointing over to a couple sets of tents and fireplaces. “Yall look tired i'll tell everypony to back off you for a bit well save the introductions for tomorrow.” “Alright Everypony yall heard me get back to work and leave these nice folks alone for now.” she walked away after she said that... I looked over at Ragna She looked a bit nervous   
“Hey look she's nice don't worry... you'll be fine here” i said   
“Yhe... but...” i cut her off  
“But what?”  
“Nothing i'll ask you later” Ragna replied  
“Allright.” i turned to the soldiers and their commander “All of you get some R n R and try not to pick a terrible spot of land!” excited and relieved they walked off to the camp and looked around for some land.  
“Ragna.” i said  
“Yhe?” she replied   
“Ask it now.”  
“Well i was just wondering... if it didn't bother you... if i could” she was nervous and i could tell what she was getting at so i cut her off  
“Stay with me?” i asked  
“YES! I-i mean if you're ok with that.”  
“Anytime. You will always have a spot with me Ragna.” as i said that she grinned, blushed a little, and said  
“Thanks Shade... that means a lot. So how about we go get something to eat?”  
“Sounds good to me lets go.”  
As we went towards the camp i spotted a piece of untaken land looked prime so i went over and marked it. when we got to the camp the templar was there and he was staring at Ragna as we sat down he hurried and finished off his meal and went to his tent their was obviously some resentment but she didn't seem to notice it much we ate it was a decent meal considering this is just a field camp at the moment. I was tired so i went and found a empty tent and laid down a few minutes later Ragna came by and laid down next to me. With a smirk i closed my eyes and went to sleep i'd need a lot of rest for tomorrow i'm going to have to break in this group and find a way to earn their respect.

When i woke up i felt light breath hitting my face so i decided to cuddle it with my nose i figured best case scenario it's another pony and things get awkward... worst case its a wolf or a bear and i start missing a bit of my face but if it was staring at me i'm dead anyways... So i cuddled it i heard a surprised breath of air and heard something jump back. When i opened my eyes it was Ragna  
“Morning Shade.” she said  
“Don't try to play that off...” i said rubbing my eyes  
“Play what off?” she asked  
...  
...  
...  
...  
“Fine... you were talking in your sleep i was curious” she said looking aside  
“Did i keep you up?” i asked   
“No you were talking very softly so i could barely hear you up close.”  
“What was i talking about?”  
“Things” she said turning away  
“What things?” i asked again  
“Do you dream?” she asked  
“No i haven't since i killed Lilith.”  
“You were traumatized by that it seems.“ she said  
“Stop shying away from my question what was i talking about...”  
“You were telling her about what has happened to you and your opinion about something... and you slipped once.”  
“I slipped once? What did i say?”  
“Nothing now come on the others are waiting!” she said trotting off.  
“Don't think that i'll forget about this!” i called out to her. Wonderfull my first morning here and i'm already wondering something... *sigh* well the towns waiting for me.
As i got out of the tent and went towards where the other ponies were gathering i noticed that Templar standing at our town's border.  
“Hello, how is our border?” i asked  
“Fine a couple of animals came to check us out but no problems... Your Shade the towns waiting for you.” he replied  
“They can wait i want to talk to you... My names Shade. I heard you templars are excellent fighters would you like to spar sometime?” i said extending my hoof  
“My name is Toraven. And you heard right we are trained and modified to fight. I would enjoy a worthy sparring partner to keep my skills up.” he said shaking my hoof  
“Look... i know you have despise necromancers like Ragna...” Toraven cut me off  
“I shall hold back my resentment for now my job is not to exterminate necromancers... although i will be watching her and if she does anything to harm this village i shall kill her...”  
“I don't want you at her throat.” i said  
“I will tolerate her. But that doesn't mean that i will become friends with her.”  
“Thats all i am asking of you.” i said walking away. “If you suspect her bring it up with me first. Otherwise if i see you accusing her in public or attacking her i will intervene.”  
“Understandable. I could use aid with the wall.” he replied.  
“I'll help after the introductions are finished.” I called back to him.
When i made it to the group they were shouting and all i could see where the Guards, Oliva and two other ponies pushing other ponies back. I shouted  
“ENOUGH!! STOP THIS AT ONCE!!” they all backed off...  
“NOW THAN WHAT IS GOING ON!” I demanded  
“This CUR was telling us that she is a necromancer!” some pony called out.  
“How pitiful...” i said  
“We know now help us get rid of her filth!” somepony called out.  
“No... i was talking about all of you.” slightly shocked they backed off from me and the guards made a path from me to Ragna... she was cowering and covering her face with her hooves... as i walked over to her i said  
“Judging somepony based off of a single trait is pathetic without knowing who that pony is your simply filling the rest in with your bias... all of you should be ashamed. Do you know what she does with her magic?” i asked. The ponies hesitated and looked at each other and mumbled amongst themselves i used the opportunity to comfort Ragna i kneeled down to her and asked.  
“Did they harm you”  
“no” she said shyly  
“Don't show weakness mobs feed off that.” Ragna revealed her face tears were streaming down her face...   
“tell me what was i talking about in my sleep?” i asked lying down next to her  
“*while sniffling* you were talking about the ponies you have met during the last couple of weeks”  
“And what did i say about you?” i asked  
“That you would protect me from anything that came that wanted to harm me and...”  
“And what? i asked  
“and that you... asked Lilith for forgiveness”  
“For what?” i asked  
“wanting to love me...” she said blushing  
“I don't care about her response all i care about is being with you now. But i can't do that if this mob kills you so stand up proud and demand their respect show them that you deserve their loyalty...” as i said this she cleared her eyes and rose.  
“LISTEN ALL OF YOU! SINCE YOU'RE ALL TOO COWARDLY TO ANSWER HIS QUESTION I'LL DO IT MYSELF!” Instant silence overtook the crowd as Ragna shouted “I have gone from town to town my whole life helping them and then being shunned and chased away i just can't do it anymore i have lived my whole life in the darkness being hated and hunted. I thought that all i could do was accept their hatred and run off that was until i met Shade... I WON'T RUN ANYMORE!!” she shouted and stomped a hoof “If any of you want to fight me do it now i won't tolerate any of your disrespect any longer all i do is help i don’t hurt anyone but if you wish to fight me i will defend myself!” she said as she drew her weapon. I spoke up  
“You'll have to get through me first!” i said  
“And me” said Oliva  
“And us as well” said the commander and his soldiers  
“You'll taste my blade before you can even touch her” said a mare pegasus covered in some light armor while flying upwards  
“And you'll have to get past my magic” said a stallion while casting a shield around Ragna’s defenders. The majority of the the mob backed off. a few of the ponies stayed in a aggressive position i noticed Toraven rushing over.  
“I COMMEND ALL OF YOU TO STOP” Toraven shouted as he did i noticed that a majority of the ponies that stayed were wearing the same gear as Toraven  
“THIS IS NOT OUR MISSION DON'T ATTACK HER!” he shouted  
“We can't let her filth live! if you are willing to disrespect our order by letting her live fine by me but you are not condemning our souls along with your own!” He shouted and motioned for the others to attack. Two Templar pegasi and one civilian one flew upwards and started diving at the shield while three Templar unicorns charged the shield via the ground along with two earth ponies and a unicorn.  
“Don't worry they won't be able to get near us” The unicorn said to me  
“everypony ready yourselves... Lower the shield i said”  
“You sure?” The unicorn asked   
“yes i am” i replied drawing my weapon  
“allright if you say so” as he said this he lowered his shield the ponies that were desperately trying to break the shield charged at us as they we charged back the one mare wearing Light armor lunged at the ground forces with me and Oliva quickly throwing two small blades at the unarmored ponies landed two kills as the blades pierced the ponies throat’s giving no chance of survival. Oliva ran towards the unicorn which was casting some spell at the guards around Ragna and bucked the unicorn in the horn effectively making his horn shrink a decent 2 inches into its owner's brain. pleased with her results she hopped back and went to comfort Ragna. I dealt with the two of the Templars with a swift decapitation which normally wouldn't of worked but since they were in town they weren't wearing their helms. The other noticed me he dodged and continued his charge towards Ragna to no avail tho as the light armored mare lunged at the Templar with incredible speed and placed a fine dagger straight into the Templars neck continuing with her motion the moved the blade though the Templars neck and reveling in the blood that came out. As i looked upwards i had to dodge a falling corpse the civilian pegasus that joined the Templars foolish charge he was impaled with the mages magic a spear made of fire it appeared he was casting a barrage at the pegasi keeping them on a constant defence and simply refusing movement on their end. Ragna ruining the mages fun threw her scythe at at one of the Templars focused on dodging the spears hurdling at him had no chance as flew straight into the well baited trap that Ragna unleashed upon him. I glanced at Toraven he was in the middle of casting a spell on his grunt. A excessively large blade made of pure holy light pierced the clouds and landed directly onto the last Pegasus splitting him in two instantly. Removing the sword from existence Toraven went over to the last of his grunts and said  
“I told you to stop now die like the moron you are...” and walked towards me letting the Templar bleed out.  
“They won't bother you anymore. They ignored the mission for their own beliefs therefore becoming traitors to our order. I Don't Tolerate Traitors!.” he said as he walked away. I walked over to Ragna... She was being complemented and was thanking everyone  
“Ata girl you showed them what you're made of” Oliva said with a smile   
“Thank you Oliva and thank all of you for standing up for me. And for the three of you who i have never even met before and yet you still protected me in my time of need.” she said as a tear rolled down her cheek  
“You seemed like a nice girl and what they were doing just wasn't right i had to step in!” Oliva said  
“I know what they were putting you threw i have been there myself a few times. My names Rika and its a pleasure to meet you Ragna.” the light armored mare said   
“I protect those who need it and you needed it. The names Raymond.” the unicorn said with a smirk  
“Thank You Oliva, Rika, Raymond, and all of the guards you don't know how much this means to me!” she said now crying in tears  
“And let me extend my thanks as well my names...” i was cut off from all of them at once  
“Shade we know” they said in unison... (Why does everyone know me by face alone... oh yhe... the dossier... where did i leave that?*story cuts to princess staring at the dossier labeled CLASSIFIED lying on a table right besides the door that exits the castle* ehh doesn't matter now)  
“Well then lets go make our actions clear so we don't get looked at like we killed them for no reason.” As i said this i turned to the crowd and attempted to gain their trust the others followed my lead  
“NOW all of you listen to me!” i stated  
“Any of you who still want to see Ranga’s head on a pike step forward now...” i watched and waited as none of them stepped forward  
“Good now you might think that what we did was “harsh”... but what you need to understand is that we are not simply slaughtering all of you we were only defending an ally in our cause much like we all are now... when those ponies took up arms against Ragna they turned their backs on all of us we are all allies now and any of you who chose not to act as such will be treated with the same amount of restraint as those corpses.” I said pointing over towards the recently deceased ponies lying on the ground turning it red with blood   
“All those who are willing to join us build a strong and flourishing town in the name of Equestria join us in unity!” i said with a raising voice... as i did the ponies slowly started to walk forward and say   
“I will” eventually all of the ponies that were once planing to kill Ragna were walking forward and joining us in our new town. After a large number of introductions and discussions with the ponies i went off to go help Toraven with the wall i brought some other ponies with me that used their time to repent for their actions by aiding in the construction of the wall. We used some of the surrounding forest to harvest wood and expand our border we then handed the wood over to some unicorns who shaped and sharpened the wood allowing us to work at top speed. After a single day we had a fifth of our borders covered i decided to head back because it was late and Toraven said that he could handle another bit alone. I nodded and headed off to help some of the ponies that were not asleep yet with their houses but as i walked back i couldn't help but notice that the guards, Oliva, Rika, Raymond, and some other ponies took up some land next to mine and Ragna’s(Good i actually made a mark back their) i was surprised to see that my house already had the foundation finished. As i walked over to it i noticed Ragna, Oliva, Rika, Raymond, the commander, and some other ponies joking around underneath it and staring at the stars. “All of you didn't have to do this but thank you anyways!” i said walking over a grabbing an apple to eat.  
“Na you devoted all of your time to help us so we decided to help you out also since your sharing this house with Ragna some other ponies decided to stop by and help with it to make amends with Ragna.” Oliva said. We sat and talked for a bit turns out Oliva was expelled from Cloudsdale after birth she was an earth pony a pegasus mother and father... she was taken up by a group of farmers shortly after and they became her family. She has a rather luxurious brown mane dark, brown eyes if not for her harsh background she could have become an elite with her looks...  
Rika who now relaxed took off her head gear and showed her face She has a dark yellow mane dark red eyes and the rest of her body was red. She had a darker past. turns out she was a child of a mayor of a town and a so called witch after the townsfolk found out they hunted down the parents down and killed them both disemboweling them and leaving their child to wade in their blood and organs as punishment for her birth she sat in a hut for a month with nothing to eat but her parents and a few vegetables that were lying around... fortunately a assassin coming back from a job ran across Rika’s mother's hut and found Rika crying in a corner... the assassin took pity on the filly gave her a new name and took her back to his camp where she trained to become an assassin.  
“And i thought my story was bad!” Oliva said after Rika finished explaining her past “what about you Raymond.” Oliva asked.  
“Well it will be hard to follow a tale such as that but i'll try” he dropped his cape revealing his body it was completely covered in sacred symbols all imbued into his flesh by different means some looked burnt some looked like they were cut in and some looked plain odd...  
He was the son of two unicorns obsessed with power they did everything they could to get every ounce of power into themselves and after they had twins they devoted their lives into making them as powerful as they could be they then forced the twins to do rigorous training and during their time of “rest” they forced their bodies to take the most rigorous amounts of pain in an attempt to train their minds. Their “rest” included being hung up from hooks and chains that were plunged into them and their parents carving/burning magical symbols into their flesh... after two years the older of the two stopped gaining power and started loosing power. Frantic the parents than looked through every spell that they could to find a way to stop the decay or at least transfer the remaining power into the other. they found a spell but it involved sacrificing three lives to imbue all their power and knowledge into another as they sent a letter to one of the most revered training academies that a unicorn could go to and proceeded to do the ritual. The family gather one last time as the mother slit the neck of their child and her own as the father casted one last spell.He then proceeded to slit his own neck with their blood funneling into to the center of their trio and into the young colt after their blood was drained their bodies followed putting enormous stress onto the colt which proceeded to black out the moment that the ritual was over. A group sent to retrieve this colt walked in on the colt passed out in the middle of a circle with blood stains in the floor leading towards him... after a couple of weeks the colt surpassed all of the teachers easily and was recommended to a special organization that dealt with such talented youth he refused to talk about his time there tho... Ragna stepped in and asked  
“I could remove those scars of yours if you want?”  
“Really you can?!” Raymond replied  
“Easy just hold still” after about a minute of Ragna Focusing her magic Raymonds scars disappeared revealing a light blue body with a blue mane that was tinted gray his eyes whereas gray as a portal into the abyss.  
“WOW! SIMPLY WOW! I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT THAT MAGIC LIKE THIS EXISTED!” he was prancing around all of us now looking at himself now scar free.   
“I am forever in your debt Ragna if you ever need help don't be afraid to ask!” Raymond said bowing to Ragna.  
“Thank you but that is not necessary i simply enjoy helping others.” she said with a smile as she said this Raymond got up and continued to prance around the foundation  
“So Shade what about you?” Rika asked   
“Yhe i'm curious to learn about our new leader as well we know a bit of your past but that's not nearly enough” Oliva added  
“No i simply can't tell you” i said   
“Why not me, Oliva, and Rika told you ours?” he finally stopped prancing around got serious  
“Well truth is i can't remember it... i don't remember anything of my past ever since i can remember i have been working for the princess and have been on the frontlines ever since i had the proper talent.” I said.  
“Did ya ever ask anyone about your past?” Oliva asked   
“Yhe i asked all around for a couple of years no one knew anything and the princess always looked like she knew something but denied it instantly whenever i asked her so i just kinda gave up after a while no use staying in the past.”  
“Odd...” Rika said   
“hmm?”i added  
“Normally people with these kinds of pasts never meet” Rika said”  
“Ehh this kinda stuff is rare but it still happens” Raymond said  
“Guys hate to break the mood but... look up” Oliva Said. As we did we noticed that the sun was going to come up in about two hours.   
“Crap...” Rika said “Im on one of our early scouting parties i'm out i'll see all of you later!” Rika said as she ran off towards the tents   
“Yhe i better be hitting the hay as well lots of work to do.” Oliva said walking off to one of the camps  
“I'll just be on my way as well than.” Raymond said as he walked off.  
“Well we should get going as well Ragna” i looked over to her and caught her mid yawn  
“Yhe we should” she said and followed me as we walked out  
“Wait...” i said looking directly to the left of our house.  
“What now?” Ranga asked  
“There's a pile of corpses lying in the middle of the street” i said with a sigh  
“Not anymore...”she said after she casted a spell the corpses walked off into the woods  
“What did you get them to do?” i asked  
“I told them to go bury themselves. Now come on lets go and get some sleep i'm tired”   
“After you” i said and followed her to our tent and laid down next to her.
When i woke up i was surrounded by the noise of construction. Everywhere i looked ponies were doing an outstanding amount of work to the town when i looked to my right i see Toraven working on the wall and to my left i see ponies gathering supplies and hurrying off to work on their homes... I decided to check out how my house was coming along before i get to work on the wall i might even bring Oliva with me if she isn't busy... As i walked over to my house i ran into Ragna she started off the conversation  
“Hey Shade so how are you feeling?”   
“Fine why do you ask?” i replied  
“Nothing much i just patched up some of your bones while you were asleep.”  
“Wait... there was an issue with my bones?”  
“You could say that... minute fractures, some bones reformed wrong, there was also one other problem... did you know that you were missing a rib?” she asked  
“I think i heard a doctor say that he needed to take a rib to reconstruct a bone... your an outstanding medic you know that?”  
“No i didn't. You think i would be?”  
“Yes i do if i had someone like you on my side in my old battles a lot of my old soldiers would still be alive.”  
“Well i could... bring them back.” she said looking around  
“No... at least not yet... we barely got even the slightest bit of trust out of them and i wouldn't want to ruin it all on something like that” i said  
“Suit yourself i'm going to go get some wood for our house would you like to come with?”  
“I would rather work on the wall so we can sleep easy...”  
“Do you have trouble sleeping, nightmares?” she asked  
“I haven't had a dream since i can remember so no. Its just i don't like sleeping exposed.”  
“Odd... well i'm off to go fetch the wood good luck with Toraven!” she said and started walking away  
“See ya around!” i replied. I continued heading towards my house i saw some rather... interesting designs on my way all bringing their own bit of “culture” with them. When i arrived at my house i saw Oliva and some of the guard working on it the progress they made was impressive they got to the second floor already on a 3 floor and 1 basement house but it could be put to a better use than my house so i called out to Oliva.  
“Hey Oliva can i talk to you for a second!”   
“Yhe shure Shade give me a sec!” she replied. when she walked out of the door frame she was covered in dirt she must have been working in the basement.  
“You got a little dirt on you” i said  
“Yhe i finished the walling in the basement it's as sturdy as it can be!” she said with pride in her voice  
“So you're good with walls?” i asked  
“You bet i am i can build the strongest walls around!”  
“Thats good to hear i came to ask if you would help me and Toraven with the Defence.”  
“I'd like to but... i promised these guys that i would help them finish the houses.” she said   
“You sure? The town can use a good wall more than a couple houses at the moment and think about it once we get the wall up we can get more help around the town and the some of our guards can get more sleep.” i said  
“Well... when you put it like that i guess i can go check it out.” Oliva responded  
“Great follow me.” i said walking off towards the outskirts of the town when we arrived Toraven was resting and grabbing an apple to eat i called out to him  
“Hey Toraven how far did you get?”  
“About 3/5ths of the way done.” he responded while taking a bite of his apple  
“Impressive a wall that big...” i glanced at him he looked dead tired “Have you been getting any sleep?” i asked  
“No i haven't i would rather impale myself with my own sword than sleep unprotected” he replied  
“I understand how you feel. I guess its one of the prices we pay for being soldiers.” i replied  
“Its worth it.” Toraven said looking at Oliva “What are you doing here? I thought you were working on the houses.”  
“Well you see i was but Shade twisted my arm into helping with the wall. I have to admit what i'm seeing here is impressive not many ponies can get this much done this fast.” Oliva said  
“Glad to hear Shade got someone useful for this wall some of these ponies are useless.” Toraven replied  
“Hey Toraven i was talking to Ragna and she could help you with your sleep issue.” Oliva said  
“The day i let a necromancer put me to sleep is the day i turn my back on my order...” he said shooting a cold glance at Oliva  
“Ya need to ease off the girl she is really helpful and she only means to do good and besides it's not a sleep spell it rejuvenates your body i got her to cast it on me this morning and i feel like i slept for a day at the moment.” She said looking at Toraven. He simply continued his cold glance at Oliva as he finished his apple and then looked at me   
“Lets go get to work on that wall now.” Toraven said as he got up and started heading towards the wall i looked at Oliva she looked frustrated at Toraven but nothing else  
“He doesn't have to be so cruel to the poor girl” she said looking at me  
“Hes a Templar there taken from birth and told non stop what's right and what's wrong and since he's a veteran he has been through some of the most grueling missions and seen some horrific things he simply has to get used to her now come on before he gets out of sight.” i said Oliva simply shrugged and ran after him. When we caught up with Toraven he was walking around the edge of the wall inspecting it.  
“Tell me if you see anything weak about the wall.” he said”  
“Will do!” oliva replied and went off to kick the wall the noise that it made caused Toraven to turn around  
“What in celestias name are you doing!” he shouted  
“Testing the wall. If it can't take a hit it's not worth putting up is it? In fact i think theres a weak spot here.” she bucked the wall with all her might and moments after the segment of the wall collapsed. Toraven walked off calling towards some of his workers when he returned he simply said  
“I want you to do that to the rest of the wall.”  
“I think you're missing something in there...” Oliva replied although Toraven simply stared  
“Look where a town now so ask nicely” Oliva said  
“You did a good job now go and repeat that job” Toraven said  
“Close nuff alright y'all follow me and when the wall breaks down hall the wood away to be used as firewood later! A team will follow us repairing the wall!” Oliva said. she and the other ponies walked away it was only me and Toraven now.  
“It took awhile for me to get used to it as well...” i said to Toraven  
“Not being in command is simply annoying people... Think there equal to you no matter what you have done...” he replied   
“It takes time... that's all let's get to work on the wall.” We headed off to the unfinished portion of the wall
When we arrived there was only two workers working on the wall so it went slower than normal but we kept a good pace. A couple of hours past and the wall was 4/5ths of the way done we decided to take a break and wait for Oliva and her group to show up. While waiting i decided to ask Toraven about his order...  
“So Toraven how is it in the order?”  
“Depends what do you want to know about...” he responded  
“Hmmm how about your training sessions?”  
“Rigorous, thorough, and long we take the opposition that we capture on missions torture them to extract any information from them and then we toss them into the arena.”  
“Bit unfair don't you think?” i asked  
“Not in the slightest we feed them and treat the wounds that they acquire during the torture they are also given all their equipment back that they had on them.”  
“Ah good so you still make the fight fair... what happens if they win?”  
“They are released... but we always end up getting them back in the ring.”  
“How many make it out of the arena?”  
“In my lifetime none... but the records that i have seen show 2 that made it out. There was probably more i simply haven't looked back enough.”  
“This is rather boring... would you like to have a match against me?” i asked  
“Fine go get your armor... how should we do this first blood or killing hit wins the set?”  
“Not first blood i tend to go... a bit too far so killing hit.” i told him and walked off to go get my armor. When i arrived at the tent ragna was there with Raymond she came up to me and asked.  
“Shade have you seen Oliva around?”  
“Yhe she should be out checking the wall.”  
“When did she leave?” Raymond asked  
“A few hours ago.” i said  
“We should go look for her she should be back by now even if she did run into a snag.” Ragna said  
“Allright just help me get my gear on i'm going to spar with Toraven soon.” i said  
“We don't have time... here” Raymond said as he casted a spell and my armor appeared on me.  
“Tell me next time before you do something like that” i said  
“Fine lets get going.” Raymond replied
When we got to Toraven he was working on a part of the wall it was almost finished all we that was left was the gate.  
“Toraven were going to look for Oliva we think something is wrong.” Raymond said  
“Allright i was getting bored of building anyways.” Toraven replied   
We started to search along the wall and we would spread out if needed. when we got to the opposite side of the wall we found a sign of a struggle   
“Something happened it seems they ran off into the woods” Toraven stated  
“Let's follow. Split up me and Ragna will get the right flank you two can get the left flank.” i said  
“All Right stay low” Toraven said  
We followed the trail slowly making sure to not make noise Ragna was able to keep up with me quite well. The trail lead rather far but it ended up at a cave since we couldn't keep the flanks we met up with Toraven and Raymond.  
“A cave great...” Raymond said  
“Shade and I should go in you two wait out here and make sure nothing follows us.” Toraven said  
“Be careful.” Ragna said.   
We went in cautiously Toraven casted a spell that allowed us to move silently we walked through the cave for quite some time it was a straight shot eventually we got to some stone doors we stopped.  
“There's no way we're getting through that without making any noise.” i said to Toraven  
“Well... i'll lead you stay back and listen when you see a flash of light wait two seconds then come in.” he said   
“Got it.” i replied and he went in the door shut behind him   
“Well well looks like somepony did come to help you out after all” a unknown voice said   
“Release them and i won't kill all of you.”Toraven said  
“HA! Look at this he's a Templar! Do you know how many of us you have killed Templar...” the voice said again  
“I dont waist my time with parasites like yourselves although i wouldn't mind upping my kill count...” Toraven said. The room erupted with laughter there must be a large number in there  
“You have five seconds to repent your sins...” Toraven said  
“Oh is that so Templar well than if you insist.” the voice said   
“Four...”  
“Oh good the templar can count.” the voice said  
“Three”   
“Alright enough of this capture him and lets get this over with!” the voice said again  
“Two...” a large amount of commotion was going on in the room all i could here was weapons being drawn.  
“You have had your chance to repent now DIE LIKE THE PARASITES YOU ARE!” Toraven said. Through the cracks of the door blinding light slipped through it was so intense that i had to turn away. I was counting in my head “one...” *Blade piercing flesh* *Blood splatter*  
“Two...” I opened the door Toraven killed the guard standing by it and was working on the left side of the room eliminating one of them at a time. They were blinded and dazed there was no hope for them i charged in and started decapitating heads as fast as i could. My weapon longed for the taste of blood and it was finally getting its desire sated. With every slash that i made a thump followed with every Stab the i did the sound of blood hitting the ground came shortly after it was glorious but sadly... short we quickly cleared the room of everypony but the leader... His eyes cleared and all he saw was me and Toraven drenched in blood standing above him. He screamed and started to run away calling out to his now deceased guards he cornered himself after a bit of frantic running... Toraven and i simply followed him it was rather humorous watching him as he kicked at the wall to try and get out.  
“Toraven he's all yours i'm going to go find the survivors” i said turning around and walking away   
“Don't worry i'll make it slow” He responded
When i found the survivors they were in cages rusted iron locks barring them easily broken one swing and they were out.   
“Your all free. Now get outside of this cave and meet up with Ragna she will help any of you with your wounds.” i said they all thanked me and ran towards the exit. I started to hear screaming from where i left Toraven and the groups leader. Oliva walked up to me  
“What happened?” i asked  
“They rushed us when we were on the far side of the wall we didn't have many fighters so we were easy pickings... I was wondering when you were going to show up!” Oliva said   
“I can't do everything at once. We have to do something about that to make sure no one ever takes advantage of us again...” i said. The screaming was getting louder and louder   
“What in Celestias name is that!?” Oliva asked  
“Toraven and their leader...” i said  
“Remind me not to tick him off will ya?” she said. there was crying coming from the back of a cage when we looked it was a small mare her leg was injured and she couldn't move Oliva rushed to her.  
“Now calm down you're safe now you'll be fine.” Oliva said  
“She needs to get that patched up hurry and take her to Ragna” i said Oliva tried to move her but she wouldn't budge   
“Come on now we need to get that leg patched up what's your name?” Oliva said the small mare started to laugh   
“Revenge” she said as her body started to break apart. I grabbed Oliva and threw her back the mare self destructed all i could feel was shards of bone stabbing into my back and than the impact of a wall. I came to shortly later somepony was pulling the shards of bone out of my back. When i started to get up they pushed me down.  
“Now Shade i'm doing a good job don't make me mess you up by moving.” Oliva said  
“Are you allright?” Toraven asked  
“I'll live” i said “So what happened to the leader and what was this group?” i asked  
“The leaders enjoying one of his own Torture devices at the moment. In fact it should be nearing the end right about now... His group captures ponies in the woods and drains them of all of their energy to expand their own lives mere parasites. If you ask me they were treated properly.” Toraven said. Screams started echoing towards us followed by the sound of crushing bone  
“There it is...” Toraven said chuckling   
“Alright that should do ya now get up and tell me how it feels” Oliva said i got up i felt the chunks of flesh missing from my back but i could always get Ragna to fix me up later.  
“Fine i just feel a little... light.” i said  
“The explosion tore straight through your armor and the shrapnel tore into your flesh. You can recover but your armor is well...” Oliva said looking over at chunks of Steel that i could only assume used to be my armor.  
“I can reforge a new pair once the town gets set up its not a big deal... Are you fine?” i asked Oliva  
“Only a couple Bruises thanks to you... you saved my life that blast would've killed me... thanks Shade.” she said  
“No problem its what i do...” i said as i started to walk out of the cave.  
“How many did we lose...” i asked  
“One...” Oliva said  
“Good” Toraven replied   
“What's that supposed to mean that his life was meaningless!” Oliva shot back  
“No he means that it could have been much worse one casualty is better than two or three.” i said  
“Look Oliva where soldiers were used to this kind of stuff you should get some rest.” Toraven said  
“Oh so the Templar Toraven does care about others. And besides my rest is my work i should get back to it.” She said running off towards the exit. I looked at Toraven he was looking at the ground.  
“This shouldn't of happened... we were foolish sending them out without an escort... from now on we should hold combat training sessions.” he said looking at me  
“Yhe i could do that i'll train them at close quarters combat and you can train them in combat with magic and weapons. Maybe we can get Rika and Raymond as well.” i said pondering our options   
“Sounds good you should get that wound looked at... take a break for the day i'll finish off the wall with Oliva.” we finished talking and where outside the cave Ragna finished helping the other ponies so i walked up to her.  
“Hey got enough energy for one more?”   
“Of course i do Shade how bad is...” She stopped mid sentence and was staring at me  
“How are you still walking?” Ragna asked  
“Is it really that bad?” i asked  
“You're missing half of your back...” She said looking around and spotting Toraven  
“Toraven come here i am going to need you to carry Shade back to our house” Ragna said and Toraven started coming back to us  
“Wait i'm fine i can walk back myself i don't need help.” i said  
“You don't want to be awake for this.” she said  
“I have a bad feeling about this...” i said as i saw her horn start to glow  
“Shade don't run make this easy on me... “Toraven said as he walked up behind me... All i saw was a flash of light than utter darkness. And i was left to assume that i have been put under... AGAIN!!!!

When i awoke i was in a rather empty room lying on a bed...(Why does everyone i know keep putting me to sleep...) I went outside i was inside my house it was midday i went to go look at the wall to see how much it progressed while i was out. RIka must of spotted me and called out my name before she landed next to me.  
“Shade, I heard you were injured i came by to see how bad it was.” Rika said  
“Thanks but i'm fine Ragna is one hell of a medic whether she thinks so or not.” i replied  
“So how did your scouting go?” i asked   
“Fine we spotted some resources but nothing important.”  
“Hey can ya do me a favor?” i asked  
“Shure.”  
“Can you keep a lookout for any mineral veins were going to need metals soon.”  
“Yhe i spotted a couple i draw you up a map and keep looking for some the next time i go out.”  
“Thanks. I'm headed over to the wall to check out its progress wanna tag along?” i asked  
“Shure i'm open.” Rika replied. We headed off to the wall as we did i decided to ask Rika if she would want to train some of the... greener ponies in combat  
“So Rika you're an assassin... do you think you could train someone what you know?” i asked  
“No offence shade but i don't think your blade is very... convenient for this style.” she said chuckling   
“Ha... i could never be an assassin but i was wondering if you could train others to use a blade or at least train pegasi in combat maneuvers.” i said  
“This is because of the abduction isnt it.”  
“Yes it is. Toraven and I planned on training some of them to make sure that doesn't happen again but we do have a variety of styles so i was wondering if you would like to help us.”  
“It would be my honor. Have you thought about asking Raymond or Ragan as well?”  
“Yes i have i simply haven't gotten around to it yet.” I said... We arrived at the wall Toraven was standing guard atop of the gate looking pleased with his work. I decided to call out to him  
“Toraven how is the wall looking?”  
“Outstanding shade. How are your wounds feeling?” Toraven said  
“Outstanding as well thanks to Ragna.”  
“So Toraven about the Training sessions?” Rika asked  
“Ahh shade told you about those... yes we should probably get that sorted out sooner than later.” Toraven looked at a worker that was on break.  
“Go fetch Ragna, Raymond, and Oliva.” He commanded the worker   
“On it Sir” The worker said and ran off. Toraven came down and we talked about the wall.  
“So who's going to be watching the wall?” Rika asked  
“The Guards and their commander that Shade came in with volunteered to take shifts watching it... after a while tho we wont need anyone on the walls if we confirm that this place is safe.” Toraven said. The worker came back with Ragna, Raymond, and Oliva. I informed them of the matter at hand and then we got to talking about the details.  
“So who's going to be doing what? Oliva asked  
“Well i'm no good with swords but i'll gladly teach any unicorn about magic both defensive and offensive.” Raymond said  
“I can train unicorns in both magic and Weapon combat.”Toraven said  
“I can train anypony in being a vanguard.” I said  
“I will aid in shades training” Ragna said  
“Alright so its all settled i guess i'll go take the head count and get everypony together to decide.” for the next hour more and more ponies were gathering in the middle of town trying to decide their choice of weapons training. Oliva finally returned with the last of the ponies that are in this town Oliva came back to us.  
“So i got everypony the head count is about 83.” Oliva said  
“So theres about 89 of us total...”I said  
“Well i'll deal with these ponies all of you can go take a break.” Toraven said  
“Well me and Oliva will stay and help you Toraven” Ragna said  
“I'm going to go gather some of my spell books than” Raymond said  
“Rika do you want to go and look for supplies with me? I plan on starting up a forge soon.” i asked  
“Shure.” Rika replied  
“We will see all of you later. I'm going to stop by my house for a second i need to send a report.” i said   
“No problem i'll wait” Rika said as we walked off to my house. When we arrived i got quill and parchment that the Princess supplied me.   
“What is that?” Rika asked  
“I'm supposed to update the Princess on our status every month or so... might as well do it now...” i said while writing the letter
Dear Princess  
I have reached the town and we now have a sturdy wall we number a total of 89. We are starting combat training for all of the ponies in this town. The town is coming along nicely and the buildings are starting to come up and in about a week or two i think we will have the town fully up. We found some rogues around here they only killed one of ours tho we cleared the area so it's under control now. Since not much has happened i'll keep this short and end it here.  
Oh yes... almost forgot we are going to need some small supplies could you send some equipment for a forge and some farming gear with the supply caravan thats coming to this town as well with the basic necessities.

“Hmmm how do i send this?” i asked Rika  
“There's wraps in the box put one of those on it i guess she is the Princess i have heard of her magic.” Rika said. I wrapped the letter in one of the wrappings and it disappeared in my hands.  
“Thats... convenient. Alright lets get out of here let me just get a couple of things first.” i said. I gathered some of my supplies and a parchment so i could mark out where the supplies are.  
“Alright lets get out of here.” I said while opening the door. i heard the sound like a magical explosion happened   
“WHAT THE F...” I shouted before i got interrupted i was turning around to face the Princess at least an inch away from my face.  
“SHADE WHAT DID YOUR REPORT SAY!!!” The Princess looked like she was about to impale me with her horn.  
“Be a bit more specific?” i said backing away slowly  
“89!!!” She shouted...  
“Oh... yhe 89 made it here...”i said Rika cut in  
“Well a bit more made it here but we kinda...” Rika said  
“KINDA WHAT?!” The Princess shouted   
“Killed them” Rika responded  
“How many...” The Princess asked  
“About 10 and we lost 1 due to the locals...” i said  
“Oh well thats not bad at all... i thought the number was going to be more around 40” The princess said easing up  
“I will be sending some more guards to fill in the numbers that were supposed to be here and i will be sending those supplies that you asked for as well.”  
The Princess said before disappearing. Rika and i simply stared at each other for a moment. Rika burst into laughter  
“I always thought the Princess would be more... regal! Is she always such a...” The Princess appeared behind her...  
“Such a what... go on tell me.” She said staring down at Rika.”  
“Bitch!” Rika said laughing. I couldn't help but join Rika in laughter.  
“Well actually yes i am. Shade could have told you that right Shade?” The princess said looking at me  
“Well i always thought of you more as a cunt but... i suppose bitch would work.” I said  
The Princess started laughing as well. Rika stopped laughing and looked simply confused.  
“Look it's fine i know most of the things that i do make me look like a bitch but thats the price of being a leader. Shade understands that's why he doesn't care he treats me like anypony else and i enjoy it is a nice change of pace from the normal routine.” The Princess said before disappearing again.  
“Is she always like that?” Rika asked  
“Yhe it's fine she was actually nice to you. Well we should get going before she pops up again.” i said. We went off into the mountains to look for ore veins. While we were in the forest i took some of the fallen branches and sharpened one end of them so i could mark where the veins are. While we were out Rika flew around the mountains spotting the veins after she did i went over and marked them. We barely talked her training encourages her to be rather silent it didn't phase me tho i actually prefer the time to think. When she did speak she spoke with her actions so we kept our detection at a minimum the whole time. We finished off two mountains and found some rather rare materials enough keep us supplied for quite some time. When we got back the sun was setting and almost everypony was asleep except for the Captain and his guard so i stopped by to talk to him while he was on watch.   
“So how did everything go while i was away?” i asked  
“Fine... Toraven actually got some sleep he's been up for at least 4 days straight you would think this is a battle to him.” The commander said  
“It probably is just another mission to him... The Princess is sending more of her troops to us.” i said  
“Great more recruits...*sigh* Well i guess you'll have more training to do.” He said  
“By the way how did that go anyways?” i asked  
“pretty well... but it would be better if i showed you oliva has the sign up sheets wait bit and she will be here.” he said looking towards his right down the long side of the wall  
“What do you mean?” i asked  
“Oliva has been galloping around the wall trying to get her thoughts together.” He said  
“About what?” i asked  
“Don't know... and honestly don't care.” He said  
“Well while we wait i'm going to need you to send Toraven and some of your men to escort a few miners i have some ore veins that i nee.”  
“Do ya have a map?” he asked  
“Right here.” i said handing him the map  
“Wow... quite a few spots. I'll get on it first thing in the morning. I just realized that we haven't been introduced properly my names Gerald.” Gerald said  
“I would say my name but... oh look there she is.” i said as i noticed Oliva Galloping straight towards us.  
“Hey Shade!” she said running past me... Gerald started laughing   
“Better go catch her!” he said still laughing. I sighed and started off after her  
“Hey Oliva slow down!” i called out to her  
“Nope if ya want me ya gotta catch me!” she called back  
“Don't make me do this!” i called out to her   
“Do your worst!” she called back. I followed her for a bit shortly after realizing that i couldn't outrun her so i looked to the buildings as an aid. We ran about 1/4th of the wall i wasn't running at my max speed but i could tell neither was she i spotted my mark leading off the stairs was a line of housed with finished roofs that would be perfect for me to cut her off with. She turned around and laughed while saying  
“What's the matter can't you keep up!”   
I made my move using all of my might i dashed left and jumped off the stairs and landed on top of a roof all the roofs ahead of me looked stable so i speed up and went straight to cut her off. Cocky as she was Oliva looked behind her and didn't see me so she slowed down a bit laughing seeing my target i closed the gap and jumped off of the nearest building targeting her. While i was mid air i heard her say  
“Looks like i out ran the poor guy Ha!.”  
I landed on her knocking her over and onto her back i mounted her so she couldn't move “Caught you.” i said laughing.  
“Gah!!! Don't do that almost scared me to death... Yhe ya caught me what do ya want?” she said saddened by her defeat   
“I want to know how the Sign ups turned out.” I said   
“There in my bag.” she said staring at me “Would ya mind getting off?”  
“Only if you don't run again...” i said  
“Well no guarantees soooo.” she said  
“Im not getting off.” i said  
“Well then...” she said. Staring into my eyes she reached up and kissed me using my distraction to kick me off of her. Landing on my back she quickly reversed hold...  
“Looks like you fell for one of the oldest tricks.” She said  
“Are you sure you can keep me like this?” i asked her  
“I don't know can i?” she responded  
“Nope...” i said. She planted her back legs onto my own.  
“Try to get out now.” she said. I have to admit i couldn't get out of this by normal means she was surprisingly strong. I simply stared into her eyes intently until she blushed. She moved off of me and reached into her bag.  
“Here they are.” she said handing me some pieces of paper.  
“Wow... quite a few chose me and Toraven Rika has a bit and Raymond has little if any.” i said  
“They look up to you two for some reason.” She said walking away  
“Why were you running up here?” i asked  
“Well... i wanted to clear my head and think.” she said  
“About what?” i asked  
“About everything we're going to need to train some of them in farming as well not to mention the supplies that were going to need.” she said  
“The supplies will be sent to us shortly. If you would like you can train them in farming.” i said  
“I'll get on it than.” she said walking off  
“There's something you're not telling me...” i said  
“Yhe well ya don't need to know everything.” she said walking off of the wall at a faster pace. I let her go best she deal with it on her own. i went back to my house.  
When i entered the house i saw Ragna moving around furniture.  
“Where did all of this come from?” i asked  
“Well Shade don't say hello or anything. It came from some of the others as gifts.” Ragna said  
“Ah thats kind... well i'm off to bed it has been a long day.” i said while heading upstairs  
“I'll join you in a minute” she called back to me  
I got upstairs and laid down on the bed their was only one bed... Ragna came upstairs and laid down next to me.  
“So how are you liking the bed?” Ragna asked  
“Its great. Although there is only one...”i said. She turned over and was staring at me   
“Is that a problem? Can the great Shade not handle a single mare.” Ragna said with a flirtatious tone  
“First off don't ever say that you're just a mare you are much more than that, and second i would rather not, i'm tired.” i said  
“No your not you can't lie to me.” She said smiling  
“You're right i simply don't want you to make any moves.” i said  
“What moves?” she said

“Shade...” she said “Shade.” she said again “Shade!” “Bastard...” she said again turning around  
I wasn't asleep i was just pretending but... it seems to have worked i didn't want to push her into anything she wasn't prepared for. Although i don't want to irritate her... hmmm maybe later not now though i actually am kind of tired after searching for minerals and chasing down Oliva. This town seems promising probably just going to have to wait for the caravan to arrive before we can really get going tho. I layed in bed for about an hour before i could actually sleep...
Two Months Later
Dear Princess  
It has been a while before i have reported to you so i am doing so now...  
Your supplies got through and the men were well needed they are working on guarding the walls, farming, and helping the other ponies get some discipline... I have got a forge working and have made quite a large amount of gear for the town its slow because i am making the gear tuned to the wielder. The town is fully set up you should stop by and talk to some of the ponies they consider me their leader but they're not all under my command they are simply feigning allegiance i can tell by the look in their eyes. Anyways the weapons training is going well. I'm being called away at the moment so i am going to end this here.

“Shade come here!” Ragna was calling me so i went upstairs into our bedroom.   
“Shade now i know you have been resistant to this but...” i knew where she was getting at so i walked out the door and went to my forge.  
“Damn it Shade!” i heard her call out and than she appeared in front of me on the stairs  
“So your training with Raymond has been going well i see...”   
“Yes and there more where that came from.” she teleported us back into the bedroom and barred the door with magic  
“I believe you're abusing your powers...” i said  
“And i believe you're abusing me you act like we're together but whenever i want to sleep with you you refuse. What's wrong is it Lilith?” she asked with a look of concern in her face   
“Well its not Lilith... its more you. I am aware how i appear the majority of the time. I come in change your life grant you power give you purpose... you're blinded by all of that you're acting on pure emotion and not thinking. Don't mistake me i do have feeling for you and i hope that you have the same for me but i simply don't like rushing into these things you should know that if you have Lilith's memories.” i said.  
“Well i'm not acting on pure emotion i have thought about it alot and i know that your what i want now come on. Will you lay with me?” She said removing the lock on the door and laying down on the bed...  
“Maybe later.” i walked out of the door and went to my forge. When i arrived at my forge i saw Cresa my apprentice waiting for me. She is a young mare unicorn her body is that of a templars even without being one she is snow white all over rather gorgeous i couldn't understand why she would want to work a forge but to each their own i suppose.   
“Hey Cresa how is the gear looking.” i asked her  
“Im getting better with blades but i can't get the armor quite right... at least not like yours.” she said looking over towards my gear up on its rack. “And that weapon. I could never manage to make something like that.” she said now gazing intently at my weapon  
“Well to be honest my weapon was given to me by the Princess. When i asked how old it is she said that she didn't even know but i can tell that it was forged with more than just metal it was forged with magic.” i said staring at my weapon the pitch black blades that glow when bathed in blood...  
“Now my armor you helped me forge.” i said walking over to my armor looking it over   
“Yes i know it was amazing seeing the final project.” Cresa said  
“You'll see many more in your time all you have to do is keep at it you're getting better.” i said staring at her next to the forges flames she looked like a goddess   
“Now i'm going to have to check on the others if you don't mind.” i said  
“Its fine i planned on practicing for quite some time anyways” Cresa said  
I went off to check on Oliva she started a farm and we expanded the wall around it. Oliva has been working constantly almost like shes possessed keeping vigilance over her crop and over those who work on it. When i arrived she was Walking out of her home for her normal routine i went to go talk to her.  
“Shade. Hows it going?” she said  
“I was about to ask you the same question you have been working harder than anypony else is there something wrong?” i asked  
“Im fine its just that if we don't get a source of food we can't survive here.” she said... she was hiding something still... i don't know what but she was.  
“Alright then don't overdo yourself.” i said walking over towards the wall to go meet Toraven  
When i arrived he was shouting at one of the guards  
“WHY WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS SLEEPING WHEN I COME IN HERE!” Toraven was shouting at a guard in the barracks.  
“Maybe because you make them go on 12 hour shifts.” i said  
“Shade glad you're here I have been looking to spar with you again.” he said forgetting about the guard i turned to the guard  
“Go get some sleep and here's a hint don't just stare walk around think of something... it helps.” he nodded and ran off  
“Well i would spar with you but every time we do spar we scare the others...” i said  
“The price of perfection” Toraven said  
“So hows it going Toraven?” i asked   
“The recruits are fucking annoying... but there making progress anything else you want to talk about?” he asked  
“No just checking in. I'm going to go find Rika know where she is?”  
“Somewhere around your house i think.” he said. Nodding i walked off   
I Saw Ragna and the Princess walking out of my house the Princess walked towards me   
“You said i should stop by so i am. That Ragna girl welcomed me already we talked for a bit. You should stay with her.” she said winking   
“Did she tell you about that...” i said  
“No i just know you... give into her be happy enjoy yourself.” she said walking away. The Princess went to go over to talk with some of the other ponies. Ragna stared at me for a bit then she went back inside. I found Rika flying around training some pegasus in air maneuvers. It was her star pupil Contis he was training under her since he signed up and has planned on becoming Rikas right hoof i have to admit he has made improvements he went from being able to get from point A to point B to being able to remain undetected while flying at high speeds. Rika spotted me and ended their session early. She landed next to me and started off the conversation  
“So Shade like what you see?” she asked   
“If you mean by your practice than yes. I think your star pupil has a lot of potential.” i said  
“Well he's talented but i think he has his eye set on something other than honing his skills... I always spot him watching me it's rather humorous he thinks he can use the skills i taught him on me.” she said with a chuckle   
“You sound like you enjoy it.” i said  
“Well i do but i would never do anything with him he's too foolish i have my eyes set on bigger prey.” she said with a smirk   
“I'll be sure to remember that. How have your other students been handling your training i know some of them are using your maneuvers and my style flying vanguards outstanding...” i said  
“Mine are going great. The hybrids... well they have some trouble with speed and acceleration.” she said  
“I could get Cresa to make some lightweight armor and weapons won't be as durable but it will work.” i said  
“That should help them a lot at the moment at least until they get a proper endurance for their task.” Rika said. i started walking over towards Cresa and the forge Rika followed  
“Hey Cresa i have a order for you!” i said  
“Great i need some practice.” she replied  
“Some units are too weighed down by their gear i'm going to need you to forge some lightweight armor and weapons for them. I'll have them come by so they can give you their specs.” Rika said  
“Hmmm lighweight what metal should i use Shade?” Cresa asked me   
“Well i would say use mithril but we don't have any of that anywhere near here... we may just have to make some enchanted armor... your lucky you can make that type of gear only unicorns can. I'm going to go get Raymond so he can help you with it.” i said  
“Allright I'm game making enchanted gear... sounds hard.” Cresa said  
“It is but its worth it. And if you do a good job with these orders i'll let you enchant my armor.” after i said that her face light up  
“You mean i'll be able to work on that masterpiece again?!” Cresa said with excitement   
“Yup now clear the forge and get some of the finest materials you have ready i'm going to go get Raymond.” i said walking off towards the gate so i could go to Raymonds training area Rika followed  
“Shes cute.” Rika said  
“Don't get any ideas shes pure i'd like her to stay that way...” i said  
“You can't keep her “pure” forever especially here sooner or later she's going to see the world and you for what it really is.” Rika said  
“I know but she is young she doesn't need to know what i have done yet...” i said  
“Do you assume that she will think less of you if you tell her?” Rika asked  
“No. I just don't want her to try to be like me.” i said  
“Like what? Your great.” Rika said  
“I have been through hell and heaven and neither are pleasant for the likes of me... i have done things that i can never redeem myself for... and to be honest i have been awaiting my death for quite some time... i'm anything but great.” i said   
“So you say... but you are our leader nothing else matters now. Where all depending on you so don't go letting us down now Shade.” Rika said. We reached the gate signaled the guards and went through to go to Raymonds training ground. He normally practices there out of the way of the town so he or his students don't harm anything. When we arrived he was training his students in how to funnel their power to make weapons out of elements. Being the show off that he is... he went excessive he launched a lance made of fire into the air and waited for it to fall once it started to fall he launched a ice lance at the flame lance they collided at their top speed and created a mist that overlaid the area he they focused and launched multiple electric arrows into the air creating a dazzling display of a chain of light covering the sky.  
“Don't try that you'll end up killing yourselves.” i said to his students   
“Ahh Shade and Rika what a pleasant mood kill...” Raymond said  
“The mood was killed when you started to show off your talents Raymond.” Rika said  
“Heh... guess you're right i get a little carried away sometimes. Well what do you want Shade.” Raymond siad  
“He wants you to train Cresa in enchanting. Some ponies need some more lightweight gear.” Rika said  
“You sure she can handle that Shade?” Raymond said  
“She's strong and talented and with you as a spotter it can't go wrong.” I said trying to appeal to Raymonds pride...  
“Well when you put it like that... fine. Allright our session is up think about what you saw today and try to hone your minds.” Raymond said dismissing his students. We went back inside the walls and started heading for Cresa and my forge. When we arrived at the forge Ragna and Cresa where talking and waiting for me to return. Ragna ran over to me saying  
“Shade your late...”  
“For what?” i reponded  
“Our training...” Ragna said  
“*sigh* The recruits do i have to i mean you have all the same skills...” i said  
“Evren you where a recruit once as well Shade.” Ragna said  
“No i don't think so. I can't remember any of my youth so...”   
“*sigh* Just come on Shade where late as is...” Ragna said  
“Fine lead the way...” i said. i watched Ragna lead the way and i attempted to sneak off but... it was to no avail she caught me seconds later and forced me to go with magic... after a few minutes of “Walking” we arrived at the training area all of our students where there.
“Well lets start this... ALL OF YOU FORM UP!” i commanded and they formed into straight lines with about a two hooves in between each one of them.   
“Alright today we will be going over unarmed combat their WILL be times where you will lose your weapon so you still need to practice it. The winner gets to go up against a pony of my choosing. You'll be fighting by your own choice until then after you lose tho you're out any caught cheating will be punished by myself. DISMISSED.” they began walking around and finding partners to spar with Ragna tuned to me.  
“So who is the pony you're going to send them up against?” She asked  
“Well i'm going to try and get Oliva she seems like she needs to work off some stress. I'll be back in a bit. keep watch over them and instruct them while i am gone.” i said while walking off towards Olivas farm. When i arrived at Olivas she was lying on the porch sleeping.  
“Tired?” i asked she woke up and rubbed her eyes  
“No bored after my jobs done there's nothing to do.” She replied while yawning   
“I got something that will keep you busy come on follow me.” i lead the way with her following back to the training ground. The last batch was ending at it was down to the last three they decided to have a three way brawl. It ended in a stalemate neither of the three would admit defeat so i ended it.  
“Allright. You all fought well now here is your final opponent the last match will be a 3v1 the three of you against Oliva.” i said  
“Wait why is it three of them against me.” Oliva asked  
“Because you pack more of a punch than all three of them combined now go out there and show them what you’ve got. Just don't kill them...” I said  
“Are all of you ready?!” i asked. They all nodded so it was my cue   
“BEGIN!” i shouted. They charged at Oliva but she remained still she waited for them to get close before she made her move. They decided to try and flank her one went straight for her one went to the left and the other went right. Although they didn't balance out their speeds so the middle one reached her first she ended his charge with a swift buck to the head. The ones on her left and right where close together. She dodged them and waited for them to collide and then kicked one in the ribs knocking them both onto their sides. Oliva yawned and stated  
“Shade if this is your finest then we're screwed...”  
“It is their first time in unarmed combat so you have to cut them a little slack.” i said  
“Wake me in a bit. I'm going to go lay down again.” she said while walking off towards my forge.  
“Allright i'm pretty sure that concludes our business for today.” I said as i dismissed my recruits. A guard ran towards me.  
“Shade!” he said in distress  
“Yes?” i responded  
“Theres... a wolf at our front gate he said he wants to speak with the leader of us and quick.” he said  
“Hmmm i see has Toraven seen this? if so what did he say about it?” I said  
“Well Toraven Said that he would watch your back from the gate but he won't walk out with you...” The guard said. We hurried off to the gate so i could see what the wolf wanted when i arrived Toraven was standing behind the gate waiting for me.  
“Shade he's unarmed and says he's peaceful i will be watching from the top if he tries anything i'll cut him to shreds.” Toraven said  
“Glad to hear it but i'll hope that i won't need you. Alright i'm going out.” i said. The gates opened and i went outside they shut behind me. The wolf started to talk he had a growl in his voice  
“Are you in charge here?” The wolf asked  
“Yes i am my name is Shade its a pleasure to meet you and i hope that it can stay that way...”  
“Call me The Wolf there is no need for you to know my name... i came to warn you i am the leader of a large collaboration of packs of wolves we are overpopulated and starving... for quite some time we have been on the move going from one area to the next eating what we can... my packs have become restless and have started to rebel. They have decided to attack your town I'm sorry i couldn't stop them.” The Wolf said as i stared at him he was larg... taller than me he was about 3x my size and 2x the size of any other pack leaders that i have seen.   
“I understand i was a leader of an army once... you can keep them restrained when they're winning but when things get rough the worst can happen.” i said  
“I'm glad you understand that makes this a lot easier on me. I will be joining my army when they attack.” The Wolf said  
“I understand a good commander is more loyal to his troops than they are to their commander. I won't hold a grudge... we won't go peacefully tho i want you to know that... there will be blood on both sides spilled...” i said  
“Than i believe my warning was fair. My army will be here in Three days. Goodbye. Next time we meet it will be in combat.” The Wolf said as he ran off into the forest. I went back inside Toraven called out to me  
“Shade what is it?”  
“Gather everypony and meet at the center of town NOW!” i commanded him  
“On it!” he said as he ran off  
“Gerald!” i called out to the captain of the guards   
“Yes sir!” He responded  
“Get all of the guards gather them and keep them 24/7 on the wall NO BLIND SPOTS DO YOU UNDERSTAND!” i commanded him  
“On it” he ran off shouting at guards. Rika was one of the first to arrive   
“Shade what's going on?”   
“We're going to War go and help Toraven get everypony and meet me in the center of town.”  
“All Right” She said. She flew off. I arrived at the center of town and awaited everypony... all that came through my mind was that we weren't ready... this attack is too soon... our enemy is too fierce... our soldiers are to green... than i realized... a feeling that i have been deprived from for so long... the feeling that any second i could die... i was... at peace again...

Preparation
Everypony was here and the skilled gathered around me Ragna, Rika, Raymond, Toraven, Gerald, and Oliva were behind me as i announced our situation to the others.  
“Everypony. I called you all here to explain our situation. A pack leader decided to be generous and has given us fair warning about his attack. In three days we will be attacked by an army of wolves they are dealing with overpopulation and they are starving...” i was interrupted   
“Thats a good thing right there starving so they won't be at full strength?!”  
“Its rude to interrupt and no when wolves starve they get enraged and are willing to do anything to get food that includes charging blindly into our forces there savage and most likely will obliterate us... and if they get into our town... where all dead.” i stopped to gather my thoughts and view their moral... in the time that i thought i heard them spreading words of discouragement i needed to change their minds.  
“I know what most of you are thinking... we should run, fall back, live to see another day... that won't do once the wolves see our town abandoned they will start a dead sprint on our trail we would never be able to outrun them even with a three day head start.” I turned to my allies we needed a strategy.  
“We must discuss our strategy and prepare for the battle give me a moment.” I turned back to the crowd of confused and scared ponies trying to figure out what to do.  
“If you are scared i understand. You have two days to do what you wish after that i need soldiers... Now we will be discussing our battle plan i recommend that all of you stay but if you wish to leave and get a head start i won't blame you...” I turned back to my group.  
“Allright i have been thinking about what i have read and heard about wolves in battle they won't be able to get past our walls but our gates are vulnerable if they are left at our gates they will be able to claw through and since we have two gates...” Toraven cut in  
“Two defensive squads...”  
“Yes i suggest Toraven and I for the defense while Raymond and his mages aid us. Any objections?” i asked  
“None” Ragna said  
“Sounds fine here.” Toraven said  
“My mages will need breaks there not strong yet... but other than that i'm fine.” Raymond added  
“My squads can give support by killing off some of their side forces and if we can get that armor enchanted we can cut off some of their forces with our Flying Vanguards” Rika said  
“Allright Raymond go get Cresa” i said  
“Ok” Raymond replied searching through the crowd  
“All of our Pegasus Vanguards Form up in front NOW!” i demanded. They formed up no more movement happened so i turned to Rika  
“Is this all of them?” i asked  
“Yes its all of them.” she responded Raymond returned with Cresa  
“I found her” Raymond said  
“Shade what do you need me to do?” Cresa asked  
“I need you to take these Pegasi to your forge and get them to help you and Raymond with making their gear don't stop until it's all finished understand we need them if we are going to be able to win.” i said  
“Understood. All Right all of you heard Shade follow me and Raymond.” Cresa said while walking off to my forge. I couldn't help but notice how easily she fit into the role of a leader... if she lives she will be useful some day.  
“What can i do?” Oliva asked  
“Well we're going to need food and quick repairs and possibly some ponies surveying the town during the fight in case any manage to sneak in.”   
“Allright i'll start gathering our supplies than.” Oliva said and ran off  
“So where do i fit in?” Ragna said  
“Thats the hard question and probably why Shade saved you for last your useful as a healer and as a soldier so... it's hard to tell” Toraven said  
“Indeed it is i was thinking that you could lend assistance where needed but that may be too taxing on you.” i said  
“I can handle it...” Ragna said  
“We'll see but if you become drained your no help to anyone...” Rika said  
“I won't!” Ragna replied  
“Lets hope that you won't...” Toraven added  
“Alright so lets go organize our squads. Rika how far have you troops progressed in their training?” i aksed  
“Well they will be able to stay hidden while dishing out some damage not perfect but they can cut down their number... how are wolves against air units?” Rika asked  
“Not great but they can take them down...” I replied  
“Than my troops will do.” Rika said  
“Good gather them and discuss their tactics” I said  
“Allright both my air units and ground units group up and follow me.” She walked off and her troops followed. All that remained where my troops and Toravens troops. I turned to theam  
“All Right we're going to be the ones in the shit surrounded and on the front lines... But i know that we can DAMN WELL SUCCEED IF WE STICK TOGETHER! Now i'll discuss how wolves fight up close. Toraven get ready.” i said drawing my weapon   
“The high ranking members of the pack will have blades in their mouths like we do and will be heavily armored although they are not the only threat all wolves have razor sharp teeth and claws and the speed and cunning to take anyone down... they have natural weapons the blades are merely an extension to their body. Unlike us killing the leader won't disorganized the group they have an extensive chain of command and frankly don't care when other die. Now i will show you how a wolf may come at you Toraven this is a first for you as well so i won't use lethal force.” I said  
“Please do i want to see how this fight will be.” He responded. as i turned to the crowd of our troops they were watching intently our every move was being watched figures they pay attention when their lives are at risk...  
“All Right then get ready” i said. I moved my body downwards into a crouched position than leaped right and dashed at Toraven. Leaping left i slashed at toravens blade using the momentum of hes parry to roll around behind him and lunge at his head. He blocked my blade i threw it upwards dazing Toraven and i went to bite his neck i bit down on it. I won...  
“Wolves don't care for weapons or injuries there only target is your flesh Now toraven take what you learned and lets go again.” I said Toraven went to pick up his weapon  
“Understood.” he said readying himself. i had to limber up using this style is effective but taxing on my body.   
“Begin!” i said charging at Toraven i went straight at him this time Blocking the blow and stepping back preparing for my next move i leaped above him lunging downwards. He dodged and slashed at my back rolling to his side i went for his legs he jumped and i followed dropping my weapon and going for his throat. I landed my hooves on his chest and pushed upwards. dead... i won   
“They will use anything that they can Claws Fangs and Weapons you must be ready for them... although that wasn't fatal it would have crippled him eventually leading to his death.” I said  
“If you stay focused and watch carefully you will be able to take them down i am losing because of my experience with them we plan on fixing that now watch carefully.” Toraven said.  
We practiced for quite some time eventually i had to stop my body couldn't take it. The final score was 5-1 Toraven won the last match.  
“Allright that concludes today let's continue this tomorrow.” i said walking away towards my forge. When i arrived Cresa had finished about 1/6 of the gear needed  
“Cresa, Raymond, and all of you are doing a great job keep it up and don't stop till its finished  
“Understood!” Cresa replied... she looked dead tired already... i wanted to tell her to take a break but we need that gear for the battle. I went inside to go fetch Ragna to ease Cresa’s task. She was sitting down staring at the wall.  
“What are you thinking about?” i asked  
“About how unprepared we are for this... Shade you're going to need my talents...” she said  
“I know your healing will prove invaluable in the upcoming fight...” i replied   
“Thats not what i mean...” she replied  
“Oh... i understand... but can you, Should you, and what are we going to do about Toraven?” i asked  
“I don't know what we're going to do about Toraven if it comes down to it... I can tho and if it comes down to the town or a Angry Templar i'll chose the town...” She replied  
“So i assume you didn't come in here to chat about the weather what do you need?”  
“Cresa is looking dead tired can you go help her?”  
“Shes working herself to the bone to prove herself to you... you know that right...” Ragna said with spite in her voice  
“Yes i do unfortunately it has to happen tho... She needs to finish their gear if not we may lose more than just a blacksmith...” I said  
“Thats cruel...” Ragna said  
“Thats War you need to do whatever you can to win.” i replied  
“I know but she's barely considered a mare!” Ragna replied  
“I have done worse to win wars...” i said  
“Oh really like what? Let me guess you worked 5 filly to death to carve a statue!”  
“No once there was... a rather drawn out battle in the frontier lands it was against a group of tribal ponies... there defences where to strong they were fighting for their land so they wouldn't pull back or give in... i made a break in their lines and snuck a small army through we went from tribe to tribe killing their members raping their women and forcing them to eat their own dead raw... those who did were released to tell the tale... we pulled out after 17 tribes and regrouped with the main forces... my men wouldn't look me in the eyes... but after stating that we would continue our march if they did not surrender... they surrendered... i lost a lot of respect from my men that battle..” i stated...  
“Thats terrible” Ragna said going to get a drink  
“I know but it needed to be done i refused to lose more of my men...” i said  
“I'm going to go help Cresa now...” She said as she walked out of the room refusing to look at me. *Sigh...* Well... at least i got her to help Cresa i should go check up on Oliva. I left and went to the farm. When i arrived i saw ponies running around frantically. When i found Oliva she was sitting in one of the back rooms of her farm counting the supplies.  
“How much do we have?” i aksed  
“About Three weeks worth of food, and metal i have no idea.”  
“The food will go twice as fast an army fights with its stomach. Those who are not in direct combat will have to have their food cut down...” i said  
“That's not going to go well.” she said turning around to look at me   
“All decisions that i will make now will be unpopular with one pony or another it happens and i am ready to deal with it...” i said. Oliva broke down she simply started crying in front of me...  
“What's wrong?” i said walking over to her   
“All this stress i can't take this i feel like i'm going to explode i just can't do this...” She said still crying  
“Look if this was another time i would gladly take you aside and wait for it to pass but we need you you're important and they look up to you while their hate is being funneled to me you're gonna have to be my voice... please i need you to stay strong.” I said looking her in the eyes   
“All Right Shade i will. Just do me a favor don't get yourself killed will ya?” Oliva said while composing her self  
“Understood.” I said while walking out of the room. I went to go check on Gerald on the wall.  
“So any activity?” i asked him  
“There have been a few sightings of movement.” Gerald said  
“Scouts or strays... they won't attack but don't let anyone leave...” i said  
“I have already sent a guard to tell everypony not to leave the walls.” He replied  
“Good job. So i assume you are updated on our situation already.” i said  
“Word travels fast Shade.” He said  
“Ha! Well it looks like you'll be fighting with me once again. When they attack tell your men to get some sleep our squads will fill in for the first day of fighting.” i said  
“Understood. Can't wait to fight by your side again Shade.” he said  
“If only it was under better circumstances.” i said  
“Ha any fight is better than none i was getting bored!” he said  
“So i'm not the only one... well after you have been through the stuff we have i guess it's natural.” i said  
“One thing's for sure Shade after this fight there won't be any recruits left anymore...” he said  
“A fight like this make veterans out of us all... my only wish is that it happened a bit later.” i said  
“I know the feeling... Well you should go rest you have a lot of work to do tomorrow they need you to organize them.” He said looking up at the sky  
“Yhe i probably should. Good luck.” i said walking down  
“Same to you Shade” he replied  
I arrived at my house and started writing a letter to the princess using the supplied parchment...
Dear Princess  
It comes with great urgency that i demand that you gather your army and prepare for a large invasion... i will stay in their path to defend you and possibly repel them but... were not ready. You need to prepare in case we fail i got all of them to stay although... our chances even with all of them is little to none... if it's the wolf packs that i think than we are doomed only your forces can hold them off. Gather your army find a choke point and wait i'll stay and try to hold out...  
I bound the letter and it disappeared as i was headed upstairs i heard a faint whisper into my ear...  
“Farewell Shade” the voice said  
“Encouraging... Thanks...” i said to the empty room   
When i went into my room it was empty so i layed down and tried to get some sleep.  
“Shade!” Rikas voice said  
“GAH!” i popped out of the bed  
“What are you doing...” Rika said staring at me   
“I was TRYING to sleep... What are you doing?”  
“Protecting you i don't want you to be killed. You shouldn't be sleeping there's work to be done.” She Replied  
“You try fighting like a wolf against Toraven than and come back to me in two hours.” i said  
“Ehh whatever so your sleeping early because of that?”  
“Yes i am... now if you don't mind go hide in my roof so i can get some sleep...” i said laying back down in my bed  
“Thats no fun... how about we go spar...” she said... i'm not going to lie that actually sounded like a good idea but my legs are giving me hell and i have a feeling i would be doing a lot of running.  
“Alright how about this Tomorrow morning i will spar with you if let me sleep.” i said  
“Alright if you insist it's kinda funny watching you sleep.” she said with a smirk going back into my roof... she practically became invisible while she was hiding if she didn't announce herself i wouldn't of noticed that she was there... why does everypony watch me sleep... ehh at least i can sleep peacefully now...
When i awoke Ragna was coming into the room.  
“Oh did i wake you?” she asked  
“Yhe what time is it?” i asked   
“The sun will be up in about 6 hours..”  
“Crap... i barely got any sleep” i said  
“Shade you need to repent.” she said her horn was glowing   
“Repent what?” i asked readying myself and glancing up towards the ceiling to try and spot Rika... i couldn't find her   
“Your sins.” she said smiling  
“I have more than you can remember” i said getting out of bed”  
“Stay in bed” she said as she finished casting her spell. I tried to get up but i couldn't move my body. I gathered all of my strength...  
“Stop this Ragna... I demand you to stop!” i shouted  
“Impressive you can still move you have a awe inspiring will you know that?” she said  
“What are you doing?” i asked it was getting harder to talk she must be increasing her spells might... she underestimated my power...  
“You'll see now lay down” she said my body followed against my will. Although while i was laying down i spotted Rika staring intently at Ragna watching her for any hostile moves...   
Ragna was out of my sight but i could tell where she was by her sound and Rika’s movements. But then Rika stopped following her and relaxed... she looked at me with a smirk and disappeared into the shadows again... i then heard Ragna getting onto the bed. She leaned over move and stated  
“I have been a conduit for sin for quite some time i don't normally take a price for it but with you i'll make an exception.” she said with a smirk   
“What do you mean?” i asked  
“You'll see. Now stand at attention.” she said  
“I'm on the bed how can i...” i felt my member getting hard “This is rape you know...”  
“You'll come to enjoy it soon enough.” she said as she planted herself onto me
We went for roughly three hours and i'll admit i did come to enjoy it after the first time... Rika was rather silent for almost the whole time the only thing i heard from her where little gasps occasionally Ragna didn't notice tho she was too lost in the moment. After we finished she passed out next to me and Rika came down with a smile.  
“Thats rape you know.” She whispered into my ear chuckling “I'll be leaving now i will see you tomorrow.” she whispered and left. Ragna woke up when the front door closed   
“Is someone here?” she asked looking up at me  
“No go back to sleep” i said while kissing her on the head. I went to sleep in her embrace... it was rather easy to fall asleep this time.
I awoke and Ragna was staring at me still holding me in her embrace.  
“How long have you been awake?” i asked  
“A couple of minutes.” she said  
“Are you finally happy?” i asked  
“Yup! Are you?” she asked  
“In more than one way” i said smiling “I'm glad we could have this moment before it begins.” i said  
“I figured as much. You're really resistant to me you know?” she said  
“Yhe i just didn't want to ruin you but it looks like you where more than prepared.” i said  
“Thats not what i meant but Thank you. What i meant was you were resistant to my magic more than anypony else i have ever seen or heard of.” She said  
“Well... when you have been torn apart as much as i have it tends to happen.” i said  
“I don't think so but i have seen stranger things.” she got up and went downstairs  
“When i got out of bed i could barely move my legs at first. She really did a number on me... I went downstairs and joined Ragna with our already rationed meal. We finished quickly and went outside and straight to the forge Cresa and Raymond were still working on the gear there were only a few of the vanguards left.   
“Very good Cresa thats master grade work.” i said  
“Thank you Shade” she said she sounded like she was about to pass out  
“Maybe you should go take a break?” i said  
“No i can't not until its finished!” she said agravated  
“Allright than... Ragna aid them.” i said Ragna rejuvenated them but it looked like it had little effect. Ranga turned to me  
“Its not a complete substitute but it helps.” Ragna said  
“Thanks Ragna.” Cresa said  
I looked at the sky i saw Rika flying around she spotted me and landed.  
“Ready to spar Shade?” Rika asked  
“Yhe but let me get Toraven first” i said   
“I'm going to go help Oliva she might need some help.” Ragna said  
“Please do and give her some moral support as well she broke down when i was with her.” i said  
“Will do!” she said trotting off   
“Well shes in a happy mood... i wonder what happened to cause that?” Rika said laughing  
“I don't know maybe something that you watched... and pleased yourself to.” i responded her face went blank and then went back into a smile  
“So you caught me... did you enjoy it?... Wait don't answer i know you did.” she said with a smile Cresa cut in   
“What are you to talking about? By the way Toraven is coming.” Cresa said  
“Uhhh nothing” Rika said. We went over to Toraven   
“So ready for today's practice?” i asked  
“Thats actually what i came to get you for all of our troops have assembled and Rikas are there to for some reason.” Toraven said  
“I told them to join your training i don't know much about wolves so i don't know how their going to fare against them in combat.” Rika said  
“Good.” i said and we went to the training ground in the middle of town  
“Allright for all of you Assassins You're going to have to roll around in the woods for a bit to mask your scent they'll spot you quick if you go out as is... they have a very strong sense of smell.” I said  
“Now lets begin since you won't be alone in combat out their you'll have your allys at your side and if you don't fail them they won't fail you.” i said   
“Let's begin our session for today.” i said readying my weapon and getting into a crouched position   
“Begin!” i said charging straight for Rika. Toraven rammed into me knocking me down and putting his hoof on me neck.   
“And that's how you stop a charge.” Toraven said looking towards his heavily armed troops   
I got back to my side and readied myself again. I charged Towards Rika again Toraven lunged at me again i slid while turning to put me in Rikas flank. Rika jumped and dodged my attack and Toraven followed attempting to cut me to shreds. Sidestepping Toraven Rika charged at my flank i kicked her in the chest knocking her down and went for Toravens throat. He slid and dogged Me Rika followed relentless she threw two knives at me. I barely dodged them and Toraven went for me mid air our blades clashed and I overpowered him tossing him down into the ground Rika charged me knocking me off of Toraven Jumping and grabbing onto her leg i dragged her down. Toraven knocked me off and guarded Rika forcing me to step back... i saw Toravens horn begin to glow he was casting a barrier around himself his body started to glow a magnificent gold and he charged straight at me our blades clashed and we ended up in a stalemate Rika came into the fray by tossing three daggers at me i dodged the two but one hit me straight in my shoulder. I charged at Toraven He blocked Negating my charge when he pushed back i jumped using his force to lunge at Rika. Tossing down my blade and grabbing the dagger out of my shoulder i threw it at her hitting her in the wing crippling her i lunged at her throat bit down then turned to face Toraven. I grabbed my sword and faced toraven lunging at him our blades clashed yet again his golden eyes faced mine directly he was disoriented by the look in my eyes and stepped back casting a barrier around himself he waited for me to get close and then repulsed the barrier. I regained my balance but Toraven was barreling down on me i grabbed my weapon and swiped at his neck he jumped back. I jumped over him scratching his head and slicing at his back I broke his barrier. I proceeded to Lunge at him he jumped and we clashed mid air the collision forced us both back i threw my blade at him hitting him in his chest and went for his throat. Right before i bit i heard  
“SHADE STOP!” Oliva and Ragna called out  
It came to me that i practically killed Rika and caused Toraven to pass out in my bloodrage.  
“WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING YOU ALMOST KILLED THEM” Oliva screamed in my face... Ragna was helping Rika and was about to go help Toraven   
“We were sparring” i replied   
“Last time i checked sparring doesn't involve killing your partner!” Oliva said  
“It got a little out of hand they needed the practice.” i said. Oliva simply sighed. I looked out at the crowd they were looking at me in horror.  
“The wolves will fight with that same amount of ferocity if you're going to fight prepare yourself for death...” i said walking away to get to my forge the ponies in the crowd split and gave me a clear pathway to it still staring at me backing off slowly. When i arrived at the forge i saw Cresa sleeping and Raymond cleaning up.   
“Are you finished?” i asked  
“Yhe after the last pegasus left Cresa passed out.” Raymond said  
“What was that commotion i heard? Raymond asked  
“Nothing... Is she ok?”  
“Yhe she just needs some sleep. So do i You know what i'll be leaving gotta get some sleep.” Raymond said walking away  
“Allright cya” i said. I picked Cresa up and carried her inside my house and laid her down on my bed and put the covers over her. I went downstairs to get something to drink. Rika, Ragna, Toraven, and Oliva came inside   
“Shade i don't think it's any competition now who is the better fighter out of the two of us...” Toraven said  
“Yhe i'm glad i'm on your side” Rika said  
“My apologies for going too far when i get into a fight i sometimes can't stop until my opponents are dead.” i said  
“That look in your eyes was terrifying.” Toraven said  
“Yhe i have been told...”  
“Shade after where alone i need to speak to you.” Ragna said  
“Alright.” i replied  
“How are the soldiers?” i asked  
“Spooked. But nothing more...” Oliva said  
“Glad to hear it.” i said and finished my drink  
“Now all of you can stay here but be quiet Cresa is sleeping upstairs.” i said. RIka jumped up  
“She finished already!” Rika said  
“Yes she did.” i replied  
“Crap i need to go finish my training! CYA!” she said dashing out the door  
“Didn't i say be quiet. *Sigh*” i said and Toraven and Oliva laughed  
“Well i think i should go explain why i got ass kicked to my troops...” Toraven said walking out the door.  
“Enjoy.” i said  
“So Ragna what did you want to tell Shade.” Oliva asked  
“You shouldn't be here...” she replied  
“Its fine i trust Oliva and you should too.” i said  
“Its not that i don't trust her... its just... *Sigh* fine... Shade when you were fighting it wasn't you or rather it was a different part of you... you normally have one aura but there you didn't have any, you where wild enraged and powerful.” Ragna said  
“So what you're saying is?” i asked  
“When you fight your dead inside theres no boundaries you block out everything and plan to kill everything...” Ragna said  
“Well i don't know what it is or where its origin is but... its a part of me and i would rather not change myself” I said  
“Fair enough but after this is over please allow me to study it.” Ranga said  
“Fine...” i said  
“So Oliva how are the supplies going?” i aksed  
“We have about five weeks worth of food and water now with proper rationing we can make it last for maybe six...” Oliva said  
“Now Oliva how are you doing?” Ragna asked  
“Fine..” Oliva replied  
“No how are you doing?”i asked  
“Fine...” she said eyeing me   
“No Oliva you're not...” Ragna said  
“Dang nabbit i said i'm FINE what don't ya get about that!” She said irritated  
“We know you're breaking down. We just want to know what is causing it.” Ragna said  
“Nothing is causing anything i'm fine!” She stood up and started heading for the door Ragna stopped her with magic  
“Now come back here and sit down” Ragna said. She came back and sat down  
“Thats not fair” Oliva said  
“I know... endure it...” i said  
“Wait what?” Oliva said  
“Nothing he didn't say that... anyways tell us what's been bothering you.” Ragna said  
“Well i would rather Shade not be here.” Oliva said  
“Allright i'll go upstairs and check on Cresa.” i said and went upstairs  
Cresa woke up when i entered  
“Oh i'm sorry i didn't mean to wake you.” i said  
“No its fine *yawn* where am i?” she asked  
“You're in my bed.” i said  
“Oh am i” she said wrapping the sheets around herself.  
“I share it with Ragna just letting you know.” i said  
“Oh.” she said and released the sheets  
“its my side though” i said with a smile   
“Now you're just playing with me aren't you?” she asked   
“Yup but it is my side” i said  
“Is all the gear finished?” she asked  
“Yup you did an outstanding job and now its time for us to do ours all you need to do is rest.” i said  
“Can’t i do anything to help?” she asked  
“Sorry but no all you need to do is relax now. Now go back to sleep.” i said  
“Shade?” Cresa asked  
“Yes?” i replied   
“Are we going to die?” she asked  
“I hope not but their is always the possibility... look i know you don't have much training with blades... but if it comes down to it... and i die in battle and no pony is left... i want you to take a dagger and hide. If any of the wolves find you kill yourself with it ok...” i said  
“But Shade!” Cresa shouted  
“Look it's just a precaution. The wolves take their time with their kills if their not a threat.” i said  
“All Right...” she said with despair in her voice   
“Hey don't get discouraged. We still have a chance living i know i may sound like we're all going to die but just block all that out and keep strong for me ok?” i asked her  
“Allright i will.” she responded  
“Thats my girl now go to sleep.” i said as i walked out the door  
“So are you two finished talking yet?” i called down to Ragna and Oliva  
“Yhe you can come down.” Ragna said  
“Oliva is fine now.” Ragna said  
“Is she still down here?” i asked  
“No she went to her farm.” Ragna said  
“All Right” i said  
“Hey look i'm going to go join Cresa in bed will you be up for a while?” i asked  
“Yhe i will i still have a bit to do...” Ragna said  
“If i'm needed come wake me.” i said  
“Will do. Get some rest you'll need it.” I went up to my bed and layed down next to Cresa.

I awoke by being shaken it was Cresa she wanted me to get up *sigh*   
“You can stop i'm awake.” i said  
“Oh sorry Shade you sleep like a rock.” Cresa said  
“Well not really i wake up instantly i just pretend i'm still asleep you should try it.” i said  
“Ragna told me to wake you.” Cresa replied  
“Oh really where is she?” i asked  
“Behind you.” She responded  
“Oh! Hey Ragna!” i said turning around and looking at Ragna’s glaring eyes   
“Pretend you're still asleep...” Ragna said with a odd look in her eyes...  
“Heh... yhe what you didn't know? Your normally good with that stuff...” i said  
“*Sigh* Nevermind... Shade everypony is set up their managing their groups and they asked not to be disturbed sooo...” ragna said i cut her off  
“Im in for a boring day awesome...”  
“Yup you get to spend the whole day with us!” Cresa said  
“Great i'm able to spend my last day with two angels!” i said. Not getting my humor they took on grim faces  
“Hey Hey i didn't mean it like that! Look i probably won't die i have been through worse and i went through those without a medic imagine what i can do with Ragna!” i said. Cresa looked at Ragna for confirmation. Ragna nodded and smiled  
“Well Shade what should we do now?” Ragna asked  
“Hmmm i don't know maybe just be lazy for a day. Sharpen my weapon, double check my armor, maybe after Toraven is done i'll spar with him.” i said  
“After yesterday i don't think you should...” Ragna said  
“Nah he doesn't scare that easy he probably wants a chance to beat me up a bit.” i said  
“Well shall we get started?” Cresa asked  
“Yes yes we should” Ragna replied. We went about our day it was rather peaceful and fun playing with Cresa and Ragna before the wolves arrived.
And it is here that the story diverges to the Princesses point of view this is brief and not truly necessary for the story if you dislike this type of info please by all means IGNORE THIS SECTION it simply gives some slight info about the princess action during the time that shade sent the letter to the moment before the attack.
“Is something wrong Princess?” one of my guards asked  
“Send out a message to all of our outposts in our vicinity. Tell them that i am recalling all of the guards immediately we need a strong military force now!” I commanded the guard  
“Yes Princess!” he replied and galloped off  
“You there!” i pointed to one of the guards nearby  
“Yes Princess!” he responded  
“Gather my private guard and tell them to assemble on me at once!” i said  
“Right away Princess!” he replied and ran off into the side rooms of the castle. Within moments of issuing the order my personal guard was at my sides  
“Princess may i ask what is wrong?” the leader of my private guard asked  
“Yes you may... Shade has informed me that an army is headed towards us he is sacrificing his encampment to give us time to organize our forces.” i said.  
“Farewell Shade...” one of my guard whispered   
“I'll make sure he gets that. Now go hurry and form my army now!” I commanded  
“Yes Princess!” They saluted and said in unison and dashed off. After a few hours of waiting my army was organized and ready with the outposts units falling in as soon as they arrived. I decided to address them.  
“Now you are all loyal soldiers so i shall inform you on what i organized you all for! There is an army marching towards us and all that is standing in their way is a small town. The leader of this town Shade is sacrificing all of their lives to give us time to organize and meet the enemy forces in a choke point. Now onward my soldiers Don't let SHADES SACRIFICE GO IN VAIN!” My army cheered and my commanders gave the order to move out towards a useful choke point. As i turned to go back inside my personal guard formed up on me i stopped and decided to address all of them to test their loyalty...  
“Now i know that all of you are loyal soldiers but i hope that you all understand that Shade is nothing but cannon fodder to me... and all of you are in the same position as him. Shade was merely an experiment gone wrong... you are the success that is why you are all at my side... if you have any opposition to this speak your minds now.” i said judging their loyalty a mare spoke up it was the same one that said farewell before...  
“I don't think you should talk about Shade like that... he is sacrificing his life and the ones he cares about for us... he already sacrificed Lilith what more do you want before you give him at least some respect.” the ignorant bitch said  
“Look i own shade and whatever you assume he is i can assure you he is not he is merely a lost dog that was never found a stray the only reason he stays is because he knows nothing else. He isn't bound by loyalty he is bound by his past the sooner he dies the better.” i said walking off  
“Anypony else want to defend Shade?” i asked turning around to face my private guard.  
“No Princess!” they said in unison  
“Good... Now lets go meet up with our army.” i said walking off. My army only had a slight lead on me so i caught up rather quickly staying in the rear side of my forces and let the outposts soldiers group up around me. My army marched for two days and reached its full size in just one day.  
“Princess we are at the proper choke point what shall we do now?!” one of my soldiers said  
“Wait.” i replied  
“B-But Princess we can still continue we have made good time the base might still be intact and they might still be alive!” he said  
“Than let them die it will only benefit us either way. If they die out they take out a large portion of the enemy's force if they live they repelled the enemy its a win win situation.” i told the guard  
“Understood Princess!!” he said and walked off. A few members of my guard looked uneasy about this decision  
“Princess might i go on ahead and see if the base is still intact.” The bitch from before asked  
“By “see if the base is still intact” you mean lend Shade your assistance than no...” i replied  
“Princess that is not what i said!” she replied  
“But it is what you meant!” i responded.   
“How about this? All members of you that want to go aid Shade do so... but you will not be able to return to my guard nor will i acknowledge your existence if you show up again.” they looked uneasy but the mare still stood strong...  
“Fair enough Princess.” she said walking away. Two other members of my guard followed the others stayed.  
“Damn traitors.” the captain of my guard said under his breath.  
“Thats what i like to hear!” i replied laughing. And so we waited for their army to show up on our horizon.

“Shade!!!” a guard called out to me  
“What? I'm a little busy” i was still toying around with Cresa and Ragna  
“THEY'RE HERE! COME TO THE GATES QUICKLY!!!” he shouted and ran off to get the others  
“Ragna Gather my squad tell them to meet me at the front gate.” i said she nodded and ran off  
“Cresa remember what i told you to do?” i asked  
“Yes Shade...” she replied  
“If things get rough and they break the gates do it...” i said running off to the front gate. When i arrived all i could hear was the howling and growling of what sounded like thousands of wolves outside the gates. Toraven was standing at the gate with his squad ready.  
“Shade they came early...” Toraven called out to me   
“An army marches on its stomach and when it's empty they run on willpower.” i replied  
“Toraven i am going to need you to come with me i need your squad to protect the back gate.” i said  
“But their army is here!” he replied  
“Yes but if even one wolf gets through our rear and flanks us ever death will be on your head and i WILL reclaim them by the end of this understood!” i said  
“Yes Shade. Move to protect the rear!” he moved his troops outside the rear gate.  
“What are they doing here?” i asked  
“Waiting for your move...” Gerald replied  
“Where's Raymond?” He's in route to our position now.” he said. We waited a few minutes Ragna showed up with my gear and my squad Raymond showed up with his squad.  
“Raymond get your ponies on the wall i want a constant barrage onto their forces target the ones incoming to give my men a brief breather during the attack.” I commanded while letting Ragna put my armor on.  
“Understood what about Toraven?” Raymond asked  
“I told him to defend the rear gate. Gerald you did a good job now order your men to sleep all those who don't or can't knock them out cold they need rest. I hope to see you all when you wake up.” i said  
“Understood and you are?”  
“Going to meet their army head first.” i said. My gear was fully equipped and my soldiers were ready so i decided to open the gates and meet their forces.   
“When these gates open They WILL charge LET NONE PASS!!!” i said opening the gates. i was right moments after opening the gates growling and howling wolves barraged us we managed to cut through them tho with little bother they were merely pawns in the packs plan... Raymonds troops cut us out a nice little defensive position around the gate for mine to fill in.  
“Soldiers take their dead and make a barrier around yourselves with them!” i said kicking a body in front of me using it as a barrier. The others followed my lead quickly kicking the dead in front of them to form a small obstacle that the wolves would have to overcome before they got to us. Raymonds forces had to rest so they were coming at us at their full potential not even a minute in and i was covered with blood wave after wave they charged us clawing slashing gouging biting tearing and ripping my forces held strong for the most part where one fell another took its place. After a while the Wolves stopped coming and Raymonds forces were at full again. A familiar voice boomed through the wave of wolves as The Wolf emerged once again...  
“Ha Ha very good very good... you managed to defeat my whelps but how will you deal against my actual forces... he walked back into the sea of wolves and another wave came crashing down on us this time armored.   
“HOLD STEADY IF WE FALL HERE I WILL PERSONALLY KILL ALL OF YOU!!” I shouted  
“UNDERSTOOD THESE DOGS HAVE NOTHING ON US SHADE!!!” one of my soldiers replied before he had his neck ripped out by a wolf in golden armor it lunged straight for me teeth open and ready to devour another throat i swung at it filling in for the both mine and the dead soldiers position opening me up for a two on one. Another golden wolf showed up before my blade could make contact he ducked and slashed upwards on my blade exposing my chest and neck the wolf that he saved bit deep into the area under my neck missing vitals but still tearing off a chunk of my flesh. I thrusted downwards impaling my blade into the wolf's head piercing his armor and killing it quick. The other jumped behind and grabbed onto my back attempting to tear through my armor. Two wolves came at my front so i couldn't deal with the one on my back i slashed at them but they both bit down on my weapon halting my attack. I heard a voice call out to me  
“For Celestias sake why has no one gotten that off him yet!!!” i felt the weight being removed from my back and heard a wolf whimper followed by blood splattering. A pony filled into my right so i moved back to head position when i glanced over i saw that it was a member of the Princess’s personal guard  
“What is a member of the Princess’s guard doing here!” i said while pushing forward decapitating the two wolves on my blade   
“Its me Shade!” She said while cutting down a wolf lunging at her  
“Who’s me. I'm a little distracted to look right now!” i said. a wolf Jumped into my blade to stop me from attacking while another used the opportunity to claw at my face blood covered my right eye forcing me to see red.  
“Nah i'll save the introductions for latter. What happened to your armor?” she said killing off a wolf that mounted one of my soldiers.  
“What do ya mean?” i said through the blood that was now covering the whole right side of my face.  
“Its different but it looks like a unmodified version of your old gear.” She said. While trying to get a wolf off her weapon that was still clawing at her  
“You're an old friend than i can tell that. I haven't changed armor in years.” i stabbed into the wolf impaled on her blade and focused on the one barreling down at me. A mage impaled its head with an ice spear.  
“Glad to have an overwatch!” she said while stabbing a wolf that attempted to jump behind our defensive line and tossed its body knocking over three others.  
“Its a nice touch to having command.” i replied while aiding a soldier on my left with a wolf on his leg.  
“Did you come in through the rear gate?” i asked while cutting a wolf in two   
“Yhe almost completely overrun he said he was just warming up and cut us a way inside.” she said  
“Raymond move to the rear gate they need your forces more!” i called out to the wall  
“Any inside?” i asked   
“A couple but the town is defending themselves inside their homes so its fine!” she called out while cutting a wolfs legs off blood splattered into her mouth.  
“Gah! Vile taste!” she called out spitting out the blood  
“You try tasting good after months of starvation!” i replied while cutting a wolf's throat ending up getting a taste as well   
“There starving!?” she relpied  
“Thats why their attacking i think its because of all the land we have gained all their prey keeps coming behind our borders.” i said while checking our position.  
“THREE DEAD!!! ALREADY!!! WHERE YOU MEN EVEN LISTENING TO ME DURING TRAINING IF ANOTHER ONE OF YOU FALLS I WILL COME WHEREVER YOU ARE AND GET RAGNA TO RESURRECT YOU SO I CAN KILL YOU MYSELF!!!” i called out to my troops  
“REFORM THIS LINE LET NONE PASS!!” i called out again   
“FILL IN MY SPOT I AM GOING TO GIVE ALL OF YOU A DISTRACTION GET THE WOUNDED OUT OF HERE!!!” I called out while charging forward into the sea of wolves i had minute trouble getting over the corpses that were piled up making a wall of dead around us. I climbed to the top of one of the piles and to the extent of my vision all i could see was wolves shoulder to shoulder... just waiting for their turn to get some flesh. i jumped off landing on a wolf killing it instantly gaining the attention of the other i charged into a swarm and forced them all to focus on me. One two three four five six seven eight nine ten... they kept coming and i kept killing trying to give my wounded a chance wolf after wolf surrounded me one bit at my hind right leg forcing me down another took a bite into my back a kept slashing at those infront of me bucking and cutting attempting to get as many on me as i could. My vision was starting to blur... blood loss... i needed to stay in the fight. Another wolf attached itself to my biting and clawing trying to get through my armor. I stabbed it with a quick shake of my head to the left causing it to fall off my back but it grabbed onto one of my legs. Another golden wolf grabbed my blade halting my attacks i was face to face with it snarling at biting down on my weapon when its grip released i felt the weight on my back fall off as well. Next thing i knew i was being lifted by two of the vanguards  
“We need to get you inside sir!” they said carrying me to Ragna  
“Did the wounded get inside?” i asked  
“Yes your distraction worked and Rikas forces are distracting their sides and killing off any strays. Our group was dispatched by Toraven to aid you he kept Raymonds for defence their wall took damage.” He replied. When we were inside the gates they put me down in the middle of the wounded i counted... one.. four... six .. thirteen wounded already... where falling too fast to them... when Ragna saw the Vanguards take off she ran over to me i was covered in blood.  
“Normally i would have to use a sacrifice to fix someone like you but you have enough body parts on you to build a golem...” She said while casting a spell all the blood and bits of bone were sucked into my body filling the gaps in my flesh...   
“Thanks i'm heading back out. How many dead?” i asked  
“From the reports Five on Toravens gate four on yours and Rikas troops have two dead and about four inside the gates.” she said running off to deal with the other injured  
“I opened the gate to get back to my troops the moment i opened the gate a wolf charged at my slicing at my chest. After it struck i cut its head off with a quick slash my troops were overwhelmed and where dealing with wolves coming at them from their flank their sides must have fell while pulling out the wounded. I jumped into the middle of them after i heard the gate closing behind me i quickly went for the wolves on their backs and then went to help our sides. The battle continued for four hours without change night struck and the bodies were piled so high to the point that you could barely see the sky while looking forwards. The only light was that of the moons and occasionally a stray mages bolt the blood that covered everything was glistening a deep crimson red and the wolves pelts shined in the moonlight. The wolves pulled back after two more hours of fighting my squad cautiously pulled back inside.
“They pulled back WE PUSHED THEM BACK!!!! HA HA!!!!!” one of my soldiers cheered upon entering the town... some of the buildings were burning and our dead were piled in a mass grave in the center of town.  
“MORON!” i called out to the soldier  
“WE DIDN'T PUSH SHIT THEY FELL BACK SO THEY COULD EAT!” i yelled at him he went to the top of the wall the wolves were dragging their dead back to eat them... some didn't drag them back some ate the dead where they fell.  
“OH GOD!!!” He cried out “THERE EATING THEIR OWN DEAD!” he screamed again... he ran off after that.
After Ragna was finished with us i went to go find the Princess Guard that helped me earlier.  
“Shade! Over here” she found me actually and called me over she was standing with another one of the Princesses guards  
“So... Glad you could join the party. Are there anymore reinforcements coming or is it just the two of you?” i asked  
“Well there was actually three of us the third died helping out the Templar.” she said  
“His names Toraven.” i said.   
“Ah... anyways have you remembered who i am yet?” she asked  
“Should i of?” i asked  
“Really you don't remember me?” she asked  
“No i'm sorry but i don't have a clue who either of you are i barely spend any time around the Princesses guards.” i said  
“Oh... so you don't remember me at all?” she asked again  
“No. Not one bit i may have seen your face once or twice it's a bit familiar.” i said she walked away  
“You really don't remember do you?” the other guard said  
“NO for the last time i don't know what you two are talking about!” i replied  
“Not after all the time we all spent together?” he said  
...  
“Hello?” he asked  
“I refuse to answer the same question 10 times in a row...” i said  
“Allright... *sigh” When we were young we trained together...” he said  
“OHHHH this makes more sense now...” i said  
“You Remember now!” he said  
“Nope... i don't remember a single thing from my youth.”   
“Oh...” he replied. The mare came back  
“Well since you don't remember me i'll introduce myself again to you my names Nesa its a pleasure to see you again Shade.” she said while rubbing her head against mine... the other guard caughed  
“Shade was just explaining how he doesn't remember anything from his youth.” he said  
“Oh... well that makes sense now... i knew he wouldn't forget us normally.” Nesa said  
“Look i don't know what happened but i am to assume we were friends right?” i asked  
“Yhe we were close but after you got sent to special ops we barely ever heard of you except the stories...” Nesa said  
“You were a bit to close with Nesa!” the other guard said jokingly Nesa blushed.  
“Heh look i'm sure we were close friends and i'm sure we will get along great but there's only one problem...” i said  
“What's that?” they asked  
“Hmmm i don't know the army of about 2000 wolves outside our walls...” i said  
“Oh... sorry” Nesa said  
“No its not a problem i just need time to talk with my commanders before i have any free time at all understood.” i said  
“Understood.” they said  
“Allright. You what's your name? And are there anymore reinforcements coming?” i asked  
“My names Renold.” The other guard replied  
“And Shade there's no more reinforcements coming us three were the only ones that left the camp to help.” Nesa said  
“Wait... so there nearby but their simply WAITING FOR US TO DIE FIRST!!!!” i demanded  
“Y-yhe we gave up our lives to help you we couldn't stand by and let you die here...” Nesa said  
“I'm sorry... It must be terrible to make such a sacrifice and to find out that i don't even remember who either of you are...” i said  
“No its fine... may we join you with your commanders?” Nesa asked  
“Sure its the least i can do to welcome old friends.” i said. We walked over to the center of town next to the mass grave and found Rika, Ragna, Oliva, Toraven, and Raymond standing back looking into the grave. They were arguing  
“Look if we use them we can save the town you saw how many of them there where we can't fight that many alone!” Ragna was yelling at Toraven... i pulled Oliva aside and asked her what was happening.  
“Well Ragna's trying to get Toraven to let her use her necromancy.” Oliva said  
“DAMN IT TORAVEN!” i shouted   
“LET HER USE IT I WON'T STAND TO WATCH OUR SOLDIERS BE OBLITERATED BECAUSE OF YOU FOOLISH PRIDE. I KNOW FOR CERTAIN THAT IF THEY COULD SPEAK THEY WOULD GLADLY ALLOW US TO USE THEIR BODIES TO SAVE WHAT IS LEFT OF OUR TOWN!” i was shouting at Toraven i simply didn't have the patience to deal with such a petty argument   
“I Refuse to let her use it...” Toraven said  
“Well you're not in COMMAND ARE YOU!” i said   
“*sigh* Just let her use her necromancy on the dead wolves than allright?” i asked calming down  
...  
...  
...  
“Fine...” He said walking away
“Meet us in a bit to discuss tomorrow's tactics” i called out to him  
“Lets go get something to eat.” Oliva said  
“Ohh you brought some friends who are they??!?!” Oliva asked staring intently at Nesa and Renold.  
“The mare is Nesa and the stallion is Renold. Their old friends treat them kindly.” i said  
“Will do!” she said trotting in the direction of her farm.   
“Y'all come by in a bit and will eat at my place!” Oliva called back to us. I heard Nesa and Renolds stomachs growl...   
“The Princess doesn't feed us well while marching...” she said. i laughed a little  
“Ragna now that Toraven is gone i want you to take these corpse’s and construct a golem out of them... understand.... Me, Nesa, Renold, and Raymond will bury the.” i told Ragna  
“All Right.” she casted a spell and walked off into our home the corpses followed her out of the grave...  
“i got the hole.” Raymond said casting a spell covering the hole instantly. We started to head over to Olivas farm. We arrived and about an hour later Ragna and Toraven followed...  
“Glad you could make it Toraven.” i said  
“I still don't like your decisions but if it keeps me alive to repent i'm fine...” he said  
“Well everypony Dinners Served!!” Oliva called out we walked over to where her voice came from and she was laying down by a campfire with a stew boiling in a pot.  
“I find it more fun to cook and eat outside...” Oliva said. We all got our portions and laid down  
“So about tomorrow” Raymond said  
“I'm going to need your mages.” Ragna said  
“Oh are you now?” Raymond asked  
“Have you taught them how to power a single entity yet?” Ragna asked  
“Yes...” he replied  
“I need a few to power me... the more energy i have the more of their dead i can reanimate...” she said Toraven looked disgusted   
“Fine i'll give you my whole group we left quite a lot of them dead back their...” Raymond replied  
“I'll tell my men to funnel their magic into me and i'll funnel it into you i will be your conduit..” Raymond said  
“Allright... Shade and Toravens units are torn to shreds...” Ragna said  
“We took the blunt of the attack with recruits... Tomorrow we will have the undead and Geralds forces now...” i said  
“True...” Raymond said  
“Rika Why are you so silent all of a sudden...” Ragna asked  
“She's an assassin during combat she will only talk when needed” i said  
“Rika tell us about your plans for tomorrow.” i said  
“I plan on using our air forces to cut lines in their forces giving our ground troops time to recover and reorganize and my ground troops will hit them from the sides thinning their flanks and cutting off all organization from their two fronts...” Rika said and went back to eating. Cresa found us and walked up to me  
“Shade Someone said you were dead i didn't know what to do i'm so glad you're alive!!!” she said running up to me and resting her head on my side...  
“Relax i said i wouldn't die...” i said trying to calm her...  
“Is that your?!” Nesa said shocked  
“Hmmm?! NO! no shes not my daughter...” i said  
“Ohh thats a relief.” Nesa said  
“Yes i am Shade...” Cresa said...  
“Silence...” i replied  
“Soooooooooooo...” Nesa said. Ragna burst into laughter  
“No shes not his daughter.” Ragna said  
“But she is asleep...” I said looking over at her. She was sleeping with her head on my side...  
“Looks nice can i join?” Ragna asked  
...

...  
“I would say no but i know what i would do so go ahead...” i said. Ragna came by and laid down next to nest forcing me to lay down on my side... Raymond started laughing 100 wolves couldn't take you down but two mares knocked you over HAHAHAHA!” Raymond fell over with laughter and Toraven joined in same with Nesa, Oliva, and Renold.  
“Make that three. I'm exhausted and since Shades the new pillow for mares...” Oliva came over and put her head on my back as well... Toraven fell over laughing with Raymond and Renold was crying laughing.   
“I want in on this!” Nesa said resting her head on my neck...   
“A little help guys...” i called out to Renold, Raymond, and Toraven.  
“Yhe i'll go get you a blanket...” Toraven said  
“I would help but it seems to be mares only.” Renold said  
“Raymond come on help...” i said to him  
“You don't know how lucky you are Shade...” he said laughing and walking away.... they all did at least Toraven actually did come back with the blanket... not like i needed tho i had 4 mares sleeping on me... nothing to do but rest...  
“Rika i know you're there...” i called out  
“No i'm not...” She replied...  
“Ha ha... very funny now help me get out of this...” i said  
“Isnt that every stallions dream to have 4 mares sleeping with him...” she replied  
“NO IT'S ACTUALLY FIVE NOW COME HELP ME Cresa IS ON ONE OF MY BITE WOUNDS!” i said using a hint of sarcasm  
“Oh its Five well let me make your dream come true...” she said flying over  
“Crap...” she laid down next to me she rested her head on mine  
“Really...” i said  
“Yup...” she replied  
“You couldn't pick anywhere else...” i said  
“All the good spots are taken” she said  
“I can see why they're doing this you're really warm” she said relaxing...  
“Great to hear now get off...” i said

“Rika...” i said

“*sigh* Would be nice if i could move anything but my tail..” i said  
Ragna got up and stretched  
“Still up Shade?” she asked  
“No i'm asleep this is a dream you're having...” i said...  
“Well my dreams normally do consist of you and four other mares sleeping with you...” She said  
“You had to say that...” feeling my heartbeat quicken   
“Oh my you liked that did you... Poor little Cresa is going to get a surprise...” she said

“Well its been fun talking i'll let you enjoy Cresa and i'll get back to sleep.” Ragna said laying her head down onto my side agian  
“That's it i'm getting up” i said  
“No you're not.” she said with a chuckle... Her horn was glowing and i knew what she was about to cast  
“Bitch...” i said before i was paralyzed.She was whispering now  
“I want you to stand at attention all night do you understand...” she said into my ear. i could have sworn Rika was still awake because i felt her shake a little  
“This isnt fair...” i said  
“Enjoy it” Rika whispered. At this point my member was in between Cresa’s legs and was right next to Nesa’s entrance... my only hope was that neither Cresa or Nesa woke up. Might as well try to get some sleep... *Cresa starts moving* (SHIT!!!!!)  
“Shade what's wrong you're sweating?” Cresa asked  
“Nothing go back to sleep Cresa...” I said quickly. She went back to sleep but instead moved her head to Nesa’s Hind leg she ended up practically hugging my member...  
(Soooooooooooooo not any better at least she didn't wake up fully.) After about an hour i went to sleep...  
I woke up and it appears that Oliva and Ragna went back to their homes and went to sleep Rika was off of my head... and was staring at me when she noticed i woke up.  
“So you seem happy... A bit too happy” she said with a smile  
“*sigh* Can you Please just help me?” i asked  
“I'll help you but not in the way your thinking.” Rika said  
“Look we all have a chance of dying I'm on the frontlines, Cresa is an easy target, and Nesa left everything to help you... i think you owe us a little reward for our loyalty to you.” She said while waking up Nesa and whispering into her ear  
“I know what Ragna did to you” she said smiling  
“I knew you were awake...” i said  
“Well i kinda told you...” she said  
“Should we wake up Cresa?” Nesa asked Rika  
“I mean she is a little young but obviously in love with him...” Rika replied  
“But she is under a lot of stress... don't want her to die in torment.... without having the chance to experience her love yet...so lets” Nesa said  
“First off I'M NOT GOING TO DIE! Second off i'm fine with the two of you but at least let her decide on her own...” i said  
“Giving in now Shade?” Rika asked  
“No i'm not but i can barely move... i know what's going to happen... and i know a losing battle when i see one.” i said  
“Fair enough” Nesa said  
“Hey Cresa wake up” Rika said waking Cresa  
“What do you want...” Cresa replied waving away Rika  
“I have a present for you” Rika said  
“Hmmm where is it?” She asked  
“Your holding it...” Nesa said chuckeling  
“I am?” she started to fully wake up now she stood up and cleared her eyes.  
“What is that? She asked still clearing her eyes looking down at my member...  
“You don't know sweetheart?” Nesa asked  
“Hmmm no i just can't see straight right now...” she replied through a yawn  
“Well its Shade...” Rika said  
“But Shade is already my friend?” she replied... she was still clearing her eyes... It irritated me that i could do nothing but talk and sit here waiting for them to make their move...  
“Not like this.” i said  
“What do you mean Shade?” she asked as she removed her hooves from her eyes... when she saw her eyes opened wide  
“OH MY!” Cresa said avoiding direct sight of it...  
“Its fine its for you first all for you...” Rika said  
“No Shades with Ragna tho! I Can't!” she shouted  
“Sweetheart Ragna’s the one who did this to Shade...” Rika said  
“So she's...” Nesa cut her off  
“Fine with it she understands that eveypony deserves to do something special before they die. Why else would she leave him like this...” Nesa said  
“So its?” she asked  
“Okay yes... but only if you want to i'm in no position to do anything but if you want i am here...” i said  
“REALLY SHADE!” she said happily...   
“*sigh* Yes really... if its what you want.” i said  
“You don't sound very happy...” she said  
“I'm not i'm bound here against my will... but if it makes you feel better i have thought about us Cresa... and us Rika... and with you Nesa i assume we have already done something...” i said  
“So you're happy?!” Cresa asked  
“Yes... i am happy with you being happy i only wish i could move...” i said  
“YEH!” Cresa shouted jumping on my member Rika and Nesa where laughing slightly but slowly we're starting to pant...  
And so the night went first Cresa than Rika than Nesa once with Rika and Nesa and once again with Cresa... Cresa fell asleep embracing me Rika and Nesa fell asleep next to me. “Finally i can sleep...” i said

“No you can't...” Oliva said  
“You can't torment me with having me watch that the whole night...” Oliva said  
“Oh come on... not you too...” i said  
“Relax and enjoy it... like you did with them ... Sorry sweetie...” she said while moving Cresa...  
and so i was forced awake again for another bunch of hours at least i was able to see the sun set and almost rise before finally passing out after Oliva’s third time...
“Dear Celestia i knew that would work but wow...” Ragna said  
“I hate you...” i said looking up at Ragna   
“Oh come on if ya like i'll have a go at you too if it will make ya feel any better?” she said  
“NO! I have had enough of that...” i said  
“Awwww ok but tonight you're all mine...” she said  
“Can you please release me now?” i said  
“Ohh you're still stuck?” she said  
“No i just love lying down with my head on the ground....” i said  
“Sorry... How much sleep did ya get?” Ragna asked  
“A couple of hours... i'm fine i used to fight for days straight...” i said she released me and i got up Cresa was still on my back and somehow managed to hold on while asleep...  
“Awwwww Thats So Cute!” Ragna said  
“You should have heard her last night.” i said  
“OHHH WOW so you did it with her! I MISSED IT!” She said  
“Should have stayed.” i said  
“How are the gates?” i asked  
“There fine the wolves have been more calm since they have eaten there probably thinking for the first time in weeks...” Ragna said  
“How is our project?” i asked  
“Lethal and desiring more flesh...” she said  
“Good job and if Toraven asks...” i said  
“Salvaged from the wolves...” she responded  
“Thank you Ragna and Shade...” Cresa said...  
“Oh no need to thank me now lets get you to bed you must be tired” Ragna said. We carried Cresa back to our house and put her down on the bed. We put the covers over her and went downstairs into the basement to see what Ragna created.
