To Fix a Broken Soul
Sometimes even the most broken of souls can be put back together.
After returning from the wrath of Nightmare Moon, Luna comes back as a depressed shell of what once used to be the princess of the night. Celestia convinces Luna to take a student, which she reluctantly agrees. Shining Star arrives under the knowledge that he is Luna's personal student, but when Luna was stuck on the Moon, the lovelessness slowly drove her crazy.
One day a spirit of the winds cause Luna to suffer irreparable physical and emotional damage, and through that does Shining Star's purpose become clear.
