Desperate to end the feud between the Crystal Empire and the Umbram, Cadance does the unthinkable but tensions are running high and she may end up calling in the aid of her most bitter rival and a very familiar face.

The Crystal Empire, home to the crystal ponies and ruled by Empress Cadance, is one of harmony and breeders of love. To the west lies the Kingdom of Shawdonia, home to a race of dark crystal ponies known as the unmbram and ruled by King Sombra. The Crystal Empire and Umbram have been at war and sorrow tensions for hundreds of years. Determined to end the violence, Cadance does the last thing that may inquire peace between them. However, the new contract between the Shadow King and the Empress of Love may end up breaking which may in turn cause her to turn to one of her bitter foes for aid and her new but familiar 'guest'.
