Chapter 1 : She Found a Brony.
The sun shone through my curtains and onto my bed. I rubbed my eyes. I opened one of my eyes, a blinding light through my curtains fell on to my eye. I shut my eye right away. I moved my head backwards a little. I tried opening my eye again. No light, good. I opened my other eye. I rubbed my eyes again. I rolled around in my bed for a few minutes. I yawned. I blinked, and yawned again. I stopped moving and began to listen. My mom and dad were in the kitchen making a racket as usual on Sunday mornings. Weekends mornings were just not my thing. I sat up in my bed and took the blankets off myself. I moved one of my legs off the bed. I sniffled. Ugh, my cold is not gone yet. I got out of my bed and headed for my door. I stepped out of my bedroom and turned towards the bathroom. I reached for the tissues in the bathroom. I blew my nose in one of the tissues. I put it in the garbage, I reached for another. I blew my nose again, then I put that tissue into the garbage bin as well. I looked in the mirror and blinked slowly. I turned back towards the hall and headed for the kitchen.
I entered the kitchen and stared at the clock on the wall before registering what the time was and what the reason I went to the kitchen for. The clock said 8:17. I looked at my parents who were cleaning up their breakfast dishes. They did not say good morning to me. I was not expecting them to. I grunted at them trying to say good morning in classical teenager speech. They looked up and said good morning. I walked over to the fridge and opened it. I stared at the contents of the different shelves. I closed the fridge and turned around to find a loaf of bread sitting there beside the toaster. I unwrapped the loaf and took two slices out of the middle of the loaf. You know... the biggest slices. I put them into the toaster and made back for my bedroom. My mom yelled at me as I was walking away. "Do not forget your toast and get ready to go clothes shopping."
I opened my dresser and groaned. I hated clothes shopping as most as boys my age would. I took out a pair soccer shorts. I grabbed a jumper and a soccer shirt. Yes I was a soccer freak, I love soccer I had also recently gotten onto one of the highest level teams there were for my age. I grabbed the rest of my necessary clothes and put all of it on before heading back to the kitchen. As I was walking back to the kitchen I bumped into my sister. My sister: 6 years old, blonde hair, blue eyes, and always hyper even when having a tantrum. I let my sister pass me and head for the bathroom. I continued to the kitchen. I reached for a plate and a knife. I grabbed a jar of Vegemite (hats off to the reader if you know what it is) I grabbed my toast that had popped out of the toaster with a ka-chung. I slathered my toast with Vegemite and chowed down. I took a bite of my second piece of toast. I chewed and then swallowed. I placed the toast back on to my plate. Wait, no! I ant to eat it not put it down! My mind started to drift off to who knows where? Then I closed my eyes and saw a flash of indigo light within my eyelids. I tried to say something but nothing came out of my mouth...

The indigo light started to fade. It went dark, an outline of something appeared within my eyelids. Usually when you close your eyes you cannot see much other than some light that seeps through your skin. But, this was different it seemed as if I was within my own body. The outline I saw before began to sway. It seemed as if it was getting closer. Well that's not possible, I told myself. The outline was getting bigger that was for sure. The out line started to gain a little colour within the border. It grew a few shades of blue, black started to appear, and then a little sparkle and shimmer started to appear closer to the top of the object. Then I saw them; Two glowing eyes peered at me from the object. The two ovals of aqua stared at me, I froze. "I can not wait much longer, hurry up and come join me." Said a sinister female voice. Then a bright blinding green light erupted from the object which caused me to wince.

I snapped back an jerked my head up. I looked at my parents, They did not seem to notice anything weird or bizarre. I looked at my toast. I contemplated what had just happened in my head. I shrugged. I do not think that whatever that was has anything to do with the weird swirly indigo and green oval under neath my bed. Nah, it's impossible that that vision was related to the portal thingy under my bed. No way. I finished my toast and went back to my room. I opened my computer to find a bunch of tabs opened: Email, CBC, YouTube mlp theories, Fimfiction.net, and one weird tab that when I clicked on it all the tab said was: Hurry up jump into the portal, the competition has begun already.
I am guilty of being a brony, I cannot deny it. What was weird was the mystery tab, it made me nervous especially since it was impossible to close. One more thing: I have kept the secret of the weird portal under my bed, my family does not know about it.
"Jasper, come on, we are going shopping now." My mom yelled from the kitchen. Oh, and my name is Jasper, I am fourteen years old and I am suffering from high school problems.
"Hold on a sec, let me grab a pair of socks." I yelled back at my mom through the house. I groaned again. Shopping!!! My absolute favourite! Not. I went to the front door and put my shoes on. I walked to our van and hopped into the front seat. I turned the radio on to the 80's songs station. So went my day going shopping for pants and shirts. It was so painful. We found some good pants and some good shirts. The most important thing during the shopping for was probably when I turned my phone on and it said I received a text message from: 14-9-7-8-20-13-1-18-5 13-15-15-14. It was a weird number. The text said: "Hurry back home, the competition is already underway."
So of course, when I got home, me being me, I opened my computer to the mystery tab said something different: There is a meeting soon concerning all the competitors. I need my champion to join me at the meeting. I rolled my eyes at the tab. I looked at the tab again and a text box with the cursor inside appeared. Above the box there was a new text saying: Reply now at latest go through the portal by tomorrow night. Will you accept and if you do type when you will come.
I looked at the screen and read the words again. I clicked the box and started to type. Dear whoever you are I am most willing to go through this portal if I only now what is on the other side. I clicked the submit button and closed my computer for the night.

The next morning I opened my computer and opened the mystery tab. What I saw written there excited me. I read the sentence over and over again: Come quick. I am waiting for you in *Equestria.***
"Not yet. He needs to choose to come here. We cannot upset the balance of the new world by dragging some stranger into our problems."
"How will we know when the time is right for him to come join us?"
"We do not know when he will choose to come visit us, so we need to wait. We have given hints to him to come join us, but he decides not to notice, or at least it seems as if he does not notice."
"Well, he better hurry up, I do not know how long we will last without him."
"For now then we will have to be warry of the first seven that have been chosen and have started playing our game."
"It better be soon, our opponents have received their champions and are preparing for the main event."
"Chrysalis has gotten her changeling champion."
"Discord has his Slime creature."
"Tirek has found a Centaur."
"Sombra has a shadow pony I heard"
"Well, I heard there is a unicorn called Trixie entering as well, I think she has a normal unicorn as her champion."
"Princess Celestia apparently is waiting for an answer from her champion if she agrees to be her champion."
"Princess Cadence has chosen her husband as her champion, I am sure you know why."
"Luna chose one of her night guards apparently."
"Twilight Sparkle and her friends have been Cooperating together to win. They have yet to pick a champion."
"Well you will not lose to them again your Highness."
"No I will not. I have picked the perfect champion. This new world I discovered is something out of a Nightmare during a full moon. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"Careful your Highness, you do not want to blow your vocal chords."
"Once again is that even possible?"
"I am not sure, not sure at all."
"Well my time has come to return from the depths of darkness as a dark horse in this competition. I am quite lucky nopony knows I am part of this game yet."
"It is your time to shine."
"I will shine. I will shine like the moon."
