Rogue

It was around midday and Applejack was hard at work on the farm with her brother, Big Mac. They had been bucking the trees and taking the apples back to the farm. ""Say Big Mac, mind if ah have a lil breather? I've been hard at it buckin these trees all mornin and ah-" Applejack was cut off mid sentence by a tremendous thunder that tore through the sky above her head and rumbled through her body. The sound was so loud and violent that it shook apples out of their trees. "WHAT IN TARNATION IS THAT SOUND?!" She had to yell, at the top of her lungs for her voice to make it to her brothers ears. The thunder subsided into a calmer rumble in the distance. Big Mac scanned the skys through a small clearing in the thick orchard. "There!" He exclaimed, pointing a hoof to a small dot in the distance, It was moving fast, faster than anything he had seen. And it was heading to town.

"It's a good thing I finally got you to put down that book and come out for lunch, I didn't have much of a breakfast and I can really go for something to eat" Spike watching eagerly as twilight locks the front door to the castle. "Oh Spike, you know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, lets go visit pinkie after lunch" twilight responded. "Sure thing" replied the purple reptile in a chirpfull tone, just happy to finally get a proper meal.

Although always full of energy and bright happiness Pinkie Pie was extra exited today because her 'Pinkie senses' were indicating that a new pony will arrive in town today. As she raced around Sugercube Corner performing various housekeeping activities, each taking a split second she hears the bell on the door ring. Before twilight could greet her friend she was bombarded with pinkie's incomprehensible excited speech. "Twithankcelestiayouarehererighthererightnowmypinkiesensesaregoinghaywirebecausetheresanewponycomingtoponyvilleisntthisgreat?"

"Uh wha"

"There is a new pony coming and I can't wait to meet them and be their very best friend, they should be here aaaaaany second now, lets go outside and find them!"

At that the group stepped out and into the street and began to walk down it, Pinkie's eyes darting back and fourth and her ears swivelling all around on high alert.

Rainbow Dash was, as usual taking a nap on a cloud floating above ponyville. Officially on probation from the wonderbolts for a month following her crash at their latest show in ponyville she had little better to do with her life in the meantime but 'chillax' Little did she know that her life was about to become a lot less boring...

"Aaand the winner for most awesome and fastest Pegasus in history goes to... RAINBOW DASH" the announcer's voice boomed through the loudspeaker system of the arena. Thousands upon thousands of ponies cheered and threw confetti as fireworks erupted over their heads and at the centre of all the excitement proudly stood the blue mare herself. Standing upon the podium she took a deep bow as Spitfire hung a large golden medalian around her neck. Three wonderbolts flying in formation rocket over the packed stadium, grey smoke trailing behind them. The crowd goes wild!

Then she hears a second noise, a low growling rumble that is getting louder.  A forth figure appears above them, a male Pegasus, he isn't wearing a wonderbolt flight suit and the thunderous sound emitted by this strange flyer is far louder than that of the three wonderbolts that passed before. The Pegasus stoops into a shallow dive as he draws closer to the arena. As he approached, Rainbow noticed his wings, they were huge! Large enough to rival that of a griffin and they looked like no pair of wings she had seen on a Pegasus before either. No they looked more like wings off a falcon. The Crowd isn't cheering anymore now they are screaming in panic as this strange Pegasus enters the arena heading directly for Rainbow Dash!

BOOOOM

Rainbow Dash is launched awake, the cloud beneath her vaporises into thin air. Disoriented and in shock, she flairs out her wings and begins to flap, she looks to her right and what meets her eyes almost fries her mind. It's him it's the Pegasus from my dream as she stares at the dark figure who flies straight over ponyville centre and proceeds to make a steep dive. Right towards twilight and pinkie.

The Pegasus nose dives towards ponyville with incredible speed. As he rapidly descends toward the ponies below he flares his wings out to slow his speed. CRASH. A ploom of dust envelopes the stallion, all ponies are now staring at the commotion unfolding before them. Twilight, Pinkie and Spike stand. Paralysed by the shock of it all. Waiting for whoever just landed like a meteor right in front of them to reveal themself.
