Twilight Sparkle has become an alicorn, and with the new power she has gained, she now has a potential bounty on her head for anyone or anything malevolent enough to come after her.

Shining Armor has always been protective of his younger sister, but being the prince of an empire has left him more than a little preoccupied, though that doesn't stop him from choosing the next best guard to help watch over her.

Flash Sentry is temperamental, a trait that hasn't left him since his rough upbringing. Though ever since Shining convinced him of enlisting in the Royal Guard, he has become much more disciplined and dedicated, quickly rising to the top of the ranks ever since Shining Armor became a prince.

Twilight is not interested in being watched over, and Flash is only doing this as a favor, neither of the two know each other or get along well. Will they learn to tolerate one another? Or will Flash Sentry find himself back in Canterlot?

Rated M for a good reason, contains sex in later chapters.
