"Alright everypony you all know the drills, Royalty and fans are here to spectate" Spitfire yelled "so no funny business."
She finished peering over her shades at Fleetfoot and Blaze.
"What? Its not my fault Blaze threw up on that kid..." Fleetfoot exclaimed, the blue mare gave a pouty expression.
"If I remember correctly you, Fleetfoot, are the one who gave her all that food and told her to do a downward spiral." Spitfire snapped, her golden eyes glaring down at her.
" Calm down sis its not like puked all over the Princesses...but that would be cool." Blaze smirked winking at Fleet. Spitefire`s face had turned a deep shade of scarlet.
Dash was standing at the back In between Firestreak and Soarin, trying not to explode with laughter as she watched the scene unfold before her eyes. She looked up at Firestreak the white stallion had his wing over his mare friend Mistyfly who also was trying not to explode with laughter. Dash loved Misty, the peach coloured mare was so sweet with her turquoise mane swept back, kinda like Firestreaks whos orange and white mane looked so cool swept back like that.
Dash felt Soarin shift beside her, looking she realised that he hadn`t said anything all morning.
"Soarin..are you ok?" she asked peering up into his stoic face.
"Huh..oh right um....yeah Im fine Dash dont.... don`t worry about me." he reassured her.
"Oh ok."
But she was not falling for it that quickly, if there was one thing she knew it was her stallion was like... and he was not ok...
As Dash stepped into the female changing rooms to get her uniform she took a look at the audience, she couldn`t see her friends but, she knew that they where there supporting her. The princesses where standing out like white on black, security flying all over the place searching for possible threats.
Dash grinned filled with excitement, she opened her locker and pulled out the new spandex suit. It was a pain to put on since it so was so tight for streamlined positioning, it took a while to get over her wings without causing pain.
But the finishing result was priceless, all her muscles where shown off along with her sleek figure. Puffing out her chest she admitted she looked like a wonderbolt..but that did not stop her thinking could she play the part of one.
"Only one way to find out." she said to her reflection.
As she turned to leave she heard a clink in the back of the mare`s showers, perking up her ears she turned away from her awesome appearance, and slowly stepped cautiously towards where the noise came from.
"Hello?" she said, the clip clop of her blue hooves echoing around the changing room. All the shower curtains where open except for one, slowly Dash made her way toward it swishing her colourful tail around her legs, opening her wings in a defensive position, she turned to look at Soarin`s feather, the baby blue feather standing out between her cyan toned ones.
Just looking at the feather filled her with courage. She reached up to move the curtain aside.
"Hey Crash you ready? We are about to take off." came Fleetfoot`s voice behind her.
"Oh um yeah sure hang on let me grab my goggle." Dash replied, she trotted over to where her newly polished goggles sat on the bench, as she followed Fleetfoot out the door she glanced over her shoulder towards the shower curtain.
"Probably my imagination ... come on Dash concentrate."
Rainbowdash zipped through the air without a care in the world, she had great friends, she was finally a Wonderbolt not to mention...she had the best coltfreind a mare could ask for....Soarin Vector, second in command Wonderbolt and the sexiest stallion out there.
Dash breathed a content sigh, could her life get any better she thought to herself. She landed on a cloud with a small poof. Celestia`s sun was setting in the distance.
WHOOSH!
Something..or someone *smirk* had zipped right past her. They laughed, boy did she know that laugh.
“Aw hell no!” Dash exclaimed as she flew after them. Soarin was right in front of her grinning with glee, as Dash caught up with him he turned round and smiled goofily at her. Rolling her eyes she flew into him and snuggled up against his muscular chest.
“Hello you.” He said to her “Haven’t seen you all day.”
“Yeah well being this awesome takes up a lot of time” she smirked.
Soarin chuckled.
“Erm Soarin babe...were still free falling..” Dash pointed out.
Soarin looked behind him, then he flashed Dash a mischievous grin.
“Hold on!” he yelled.
They where about 100 meters from hitting the ground, suddenly Soarin flipped over with Dash on his back and spread his wings out going vertically toward the ground. Then with only 30cm till disaster Soarin thrust his wings up and touched his hooves down and then with his wings still tilted upwards instantly shot off like a rocket....
“Ahhhhhh” Dash screamed in delight.
Soarin grinned and then bucked her off, but she was ready for it ....and zoomed off his back spiralling forward leaving a rainbow trail behind her. She kept spiralling forward until...BOOM!
A sonic rainboom exploded behind her, but this rainboom was twisted and wild not the usual circle.
“Whoa!” Soarin yelped as the impact of the rainboom threw a strong breeze toward him.
Rainbowdash panted as she sat down on a cloud catching her breathe. She heard Soarin fly up behind her.
“Soooo?” she said while turning to face him “Awesome right?”
“Meh iv seen better” he told her flicking his mane playfully.
“YOU!” she said while launching at him.
They fell over laughing hard. Soarin turned to face his mare and they just lay there staring into each others eyes.
Her magenta eyes filled with glee, his emerald ones filled with admiration and passion.
“So you excited to perform tomorrow? You know with my friends, family and not to mention royalty spectating.” Rainbow asked smugly.
“The real question is are YOU?” Soarin shot back.
Rainbow`s ears perked up and she quickly looked around until she cleared her throat and sighed.
“Actually...don`t tell anyone kay?”
“Cross my heart.” Soarin said while motioning the gesture.
“ I am very nervous.”
She looked down and blushed, he nuzzled her behind the ear affectionately.
“ Hey I was scared too you know when i first performed in front of my town and the princesses to.” He whispered.
Rainbow pulled away from him staring at him in shock. He nodded to back up his statement.
“Huh well..if you did it i should have no problem what so ever.”
“Exactly and....Hey!” he exclaimed as her comeback sunk in.
She giggled as he wrapped a wing round her body. She pecked him on the cheek, he blushed slightly.
The couple leaned into eachother as the sun slowly slipped behind the valley. Soarin peered down and rested his head on top of Dash`s colourful mane. She looked up and nuzzled deeper into his chest, his muscular arm wrapping around her neck.
“I love you Soarin..so freak`n much.”
“I love you more Dash.” he replied softly. An idea sprung into his mind.
He stood up and brought his wing up and examined the feathers, until he came across a long sleek baby blue feather . Wincing he pulled it out leaving a jabbing pain in the area where the feather once was.
Dash looked up at him curiously, pegasi had been known to groom themselves the way a bird would, but they were usually gentle, as it really hurt to pull a feather.
Soarin lay back down again and nuzzled her cheek. He held out his feather in his wing, she looked at him a little confused and excited.
“Dash I love you so much and..heck if you were in danger over 50,000 miles from me I would still fly their willingly to save you, without hesitation no matter what danger it would be.” He vowed “so I offer you my best feather to show you that will always be here to love and protect you.”
Dash gasped as she looked into her stallion`s serious green eyes. She stood up and brought her wing up toward her muzzle, she searched through her beautiful sky blue feathers until she found her longest most gorgeous feather; she plucked it out even though it hurt badly.
Laying back down she gazed into Soarin`s eyes again and breathed out.
“I know how much you love me and you have shown it everyday since we have come together. Im lucky to have such a great stallion as you and my mother always said that there were more fish in the sea..but i gave up fishing the moment I saw you. I love you Soarin Vector always have always will..and don’t you forget that.” As she finished she raised her wing next to Soarins and placed the feather in it.
They crossed necks and at the same time grasped the others feather in their mouth gently, and placed it where their missing feather was. It was an old pegasi tradition and even though they did not posses magic the feather symbolised another’s passion and desire to the other, wich would then root itself into the others wing where the feather was missing. It showed that they completed one another and where important just like wings where to pegasi.
The pair looked at each other transfixed as the feathers grew into their wings. Soarin nuzzled Dash, he chewed her ear softly as he ran his hooves over her slender back he reached under her wings and at the base he rubbed them seductively.
“Ahhhhhh” he smirked as she moaned in pleasure, he grinned as she rolled over her magenta eyes narrowed and she gave him those eyes that invited him to investigate further.
“Yes!” he yelled as he flexed his muscles and stood dominantly over her, he lowered himself and she reached up and slammed herself into his lips. He moaned as she wrapped her forelegs round his waist, this was gonna be one heck of a night......
CHAPTER TWO
Soarin was flying next to Dash laughing gaily and racing through the breeze their whole world in front of them played out like a blanket of mystery and adventure, suddenly the sky got darker a black fog over coming the merry blue sky and the world became pitch black, confused Soarin whipped around to try to find Rainbowdash.
“AAGGGHHHH!”
“Rainbowdash! Where are you?” he searched frantically. His eyes darted all over the place to find Rainbowdash lying on the floor writhing in agony, panting tears streaming down her face grunting in distress.
“AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!” she yelled again she opened her eyes slowly, a purple aura shining from them.
“Oh my gosh.. Dash what...what happened are you ok...I..!?” Soarin asked panicked.
“Soarin kill me...”
He stopped and turned to stare at her PURE SHOCK
“What?!”
“AGGGGGHHHH....KILL ME PLEASE SOARIN THE PAIN I...AHHHAG ITS LIKE KNIVES PIERCNING MY BODY..PLEASE SOARIN I...I...AAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH....”
She started to fade slowly..
“Rainbowdash...Rainbowdash...nooo stay with me please.....” he wept as her body disappeared alL together.
“Ha ah ha ah ha.”
A cold cruel laugh echoed around the darkness,Soarin jumped as two glowing eyes glared at him they where glowing red and a blue aura tinted them, kind of like dash`s eyes had earlirer.
A blue starry mist swept over the eyes and they darkness, shaking slightly Soarin peeked out behind his wings.
He gasped in shock as he saw a navy blue alicorn with a starry blue shimmering mane appear before him.
“Princess Luna? What was that?” Soarin asked
“Soarin of the wonderbolts we are sorry to have shown you that, it is a vision of tomorrows events.” Luna said gravely
“You mean Rainbowdash could experience that..pain... tomorrow..at the show?” Soarin asked
“We..we...cannot say..it is forbidden as Gods and rulers with these powers are forbidden to interfere with the fate of mortals.” She sighed “We are sorry but whatever you do you cannot stop what happens and cannot, must not tell Rainbowdash.”
“You mean I have just sit around and just let her suffer? I respect you Princess but I cant..I..wont.” Soarin protested a mixture of fear and rage growing in the pit of his stomach.
“We understand Soarin of the Wonderbolts, but what you are dealing with here is a very strange dark magic...it could easily kill Rainbowdash or anypony else.” Luna sighed and turned to look at Soarin her sapphire blue eyes sparkled like stars “She is protected by a force greater than any magic known to ponykind.... talk the others who can help and are connected with this power, each share the same powerful connection.”
Soarin blinked confused by what she meant
“Princess I don`t...”
“ SILENCE SOARIN OF THE WONDERBOLTS...WE HAVE FORESEEN AND TOLD MORE THAN WE SHOULD HAVE, AS A GODESS I AM FORBIDDEN TO ALTER A MORTALS LIFE OR FATE..I HAVE GIVEN YOU ENOUGH CLUES....SAVE THE ELEMENT OF LOYALTY THAT IS THE ONLY THING PROTECTING HER.”
Luna screamed in her canterlot voice a huge burst of wind crashed over Soarin, Luna`s eyes glowed a bright yellow as she unfolded her wings and soared off in to the blank darkness......
"And here they are every pony, coming out first we have the captain of the WonderBolts Spitfire!"
A cheer erupted from the stadium little foals jumping delight.
"Oh here they come......get ready mares and gentlecolts its the STREAK TWINS!" the commentator yelled down the mic.
Fire and Lightning Streak flew out behind the curtain in a burst of electric smoke, the crowd going more insane than Pinkie pie...
"Next we have the Four Wonder Mares Fleetfoot, Mistyfly, Blaze and Highwinds....."
All the filly`s in the audience suddenly got up jumped so high the Sun could have burnt them.
"Oh my .... all the mares in the audience please don`t go up there to hug them... its Commanders Soarin and Wavechill......"
All the mares shrieked and blew kisses as Soarin and Wave soared around the ring their muscular bodies flexing as their wings pumped them through the sky......
"Alright.. alright ... alright. So here we have the living legends.. but I have a surprise for you all..... a new recruit!"
Suddenly the audience stopped cheering as they heard something rocketing towards them, they looked up to see a rainbow trail coming closer and closer...suddenly the speed barrier broke as a sonic rainboom exploded, the whole audience was left agape as they saw the cyan mare with the iconic rainbowmane.......
"Its............... RAINBOWDASH... the element of loyalty....."
That was breaking point for the crowd, the cheering and whooping could be heard from the Griffon Kingdom!
Dash flew low near the crowd as they reached up to hoof bump her, she turned round and came up near the rest of the wonder bolts.
Soarin turned and smiled at her, she blushed ever so slightly.
He was still thinking about what Luna had said, he peered up at the royal booth... Luna was sitting on her throne, her wavy mane flowing softly beside her. As he looked she glanced towards him her expression was serious and worried. Suddenly the commentator`s voice blared through the mic.
"Alright. Now then lets see what they`ve got..."
Suddenly fire balls shot out of the ground in random areas, the crowd gasped the fire was pure dragon fire (the hottest and deadliest out there).
"First one to the other side not singed...wins.... "
"READY"
Soarin stood on the ledge pulling his goggles over his eyes, snorting out his nose.
"SET"
Each Wonderbolt in sync spread their magnificent wings. Glancing at Dashs feather he was filled with confidence and had completely forgotten about Lunas vision..
"GO!"
