Chapters It has been nine years since Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Princess Cadence’s disappeared from Equestria never to be heard from again. This forced Celestia’s royal foals to quickly seize the rulership of Equestria before the dark elements within their beloved homeland could steal away the two main thrones of Equestria: The Throne of the Sun and The Throne of the Moon. The quick actions done by Princess Aurora Silverlight and her brother Prince Somnus Silverlight denied the dark element from seizing control of the main thrones of Equestria.
But that left The Throne of Love up for grabs in the Crystal Empire without the stewardship of Princess Cadence to oversee the Empire that changed their focus to the Crystal City. To prevent the Crystal Empire from falling to the dark element, the newly crowned Princess of the Sun, Aurora Silverlight, had to appoint a new steward to the Crystal Empire. She looked first to Cadence’s baby daughter, Princess Flurry Heart, but she was still too young to take over. Next, she looked toward Princess Cadence’s husband Prince Shining Armor. Being a great Captain of the Canterlot Royal Guard, he is no monarch. Next, she looks toward Princess Cadance’s sister-in-law, Princess Twilight Sparkle, but quickly drops it. If Twilight was appointed to the stewardship of the Crystal Empire, the dark element would target the throne of friendship which would put Equestria in danger.
So Aurora was forced to look within her capital city, Canterlot, to find a new surrogate steward of the Crystal Empire. That’s when it hit her; there was one pony that trained under the watchful eye of Princess Cadence. That pony was her own little sister, Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight. She trained under Princess Cadence so she could master her potent healing magic. That night before handing over the rule of Equestria to her brother, Aurora called her little sister to the throne room of the palace. She explained to her what her plan was for her. At first, she declined her big sister’s plan not wanting to take away Princess Cadence’s memories from her ponies in the Crystal Empire.
The rebuff to take over the Stewardship of the Crystal Empire by her little sister hurt her big sister, but she was not going to force her to take over the empire if she didn’t want to and left it at that. As Princess Blueberry was leaving the throne room, she ran into her big brother Prince Somnus. The two siblings spoke for awhile and she told him what their big sister wanted her to do. Prince Somnus told her it was the best option. As for taking away the memories of princess Cadence, it wouldn’t happen. She’s more like Princess Cadence than any other pony he knows. The following morning, Princess Blueberry met her big sister Princess Aurora before morning court and told her she would be happy to take over the Stewardship of the Crystal Empire, till Princess Flurry Heart came of age.
In the Crystal Empire, the whole population of the Crystal Ponies was none to happy to learn that the new Princess of the Sun, Aurora Silverlight, appointed a new Steward of the Crystal Empire that was not from within their own land. But that all changed when the train from Canterlot arrived in the Crystal City and the Crystal Pony population saw who disembarked the train. It was Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight: the new steward of the Crystal Empire. She was a fixture at the side of Princess Cadence during the many years she trained under the Princess to master her healing magic. After the birth of Princess Flurry Heart, Princess Blueberry left the Crystal Empire and became the representative of the Throne of Love in Canterlot. But every so often, she would return to the Crystal City and the crystal ponies she loved just as much as Princess Cadence did to visit.
The many years under the rulership of Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight the surrogate princess of love was a golden age. Flurry Heart was coming close to the age to rule the empire. She learned she was born an alicorn and not any of the lower breeds. This made her head swell with superiority. Without her mother Princess Cadence to snuff out her swelled head, the showdown between Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight and Princess Flurry Heart came to ahead. The first shots were fired by Princess Flurry Heart when she demanded Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight give up her mother’s throne and let her rule as the rightful Alicorn princess of the Crystal Empire.
To placate the ego driving Princess Flurry Heart, Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight engaged in a ploy. She told Princess Flurry Heart it would take her sometime for her to depart the throne and she must wait. Princess Flurry Heart believed the ploy hook, line and sinker. In that time, Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight spoke to each of the other rulers in Equestria and even Flurry Heart father’s, Prince Shining Armor. All the rulers and Shining Armor felt if Princess Flurry Heart should take over the Throne of Love now, with her ego, it would destroy all her mother’s work. With that in mind, Princess Flurry Heart once again demanded Princess Blueberry hand over the throne; she was reprimanded by Princess Blueberry for her ego.
The reprimand by a normal unicorn mare, whom magic was nowhere near her power level, stung Princess Flurry Heart’s ego. In the next few minutes, Princess Flurry Heart attacked Princess Blueberry demanding she take back the scolding of a born Alicorn princess. Princess Blueberry refused to fight Princess Flurry Heart and just dodged out of the way of her attacks. She started to attack more wildly putting every pony in danger within the Crystal Palace throne room. Princess Blueberry charged-up her lowest powered magic beam and fired it at Princess Flurry Heart, thinking it was a weak beam she took the hit. She soon learned very painfully that she was wrong as the beam slammed her hard against the back wall of the throne room.
Princess Flurry Heart stood flabbergasted with the magic level of this normal unicorn mare, in attempt to save face and pick-up the pieces of her broken ego. She demanded to know how a weak unicorn breed like her had that much power. Angry by being called (a weak unicorn breed, a word Blueberry was called for most of her life by ponies who didn’t believe she was the younger daughter of Princess Celestia). She turn toward Princess Flurry Heart and said “I am not a weak unicorn. I am half Alicorn. I might not have the wings of my mother Princess Celestia Silverlight. but I have my mother’s power.” Blueberry revealing that she, the younger daughter of the most powerful Alicorn Princess in Equestria caused hostility between Princess Flurry Heart and Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight too steep for years after being beaten by Blueberry in front of the crystal pony population.
Meanwhile in Canterlot, the transition from the rule of Princess Celestia Silverlight to her oldest daughter Princess Aurora Silverlight was not going as smoothly as Aurora would have hoped. Greedy nobles started to make plans to sneakily take the two main thrones of Equestria out from under Princess Aurora and Prince Somnus. By finding a magical stand-in for both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, as the two Princesses. By this time they had disappeared two years earlier.
To stem this plan of the greedy nobles, Princess Aurora with her siblings by her side, declared that her mother Princess Celestia, her aunt Princess Luna and her cousin Princess Cadence had died. This disclosure sunk the greedy nobles plan to make a magical stand-in for the princesses. Because this means that they must prove that the princess’s doubles are the real deal which is impossible to do with magic.
Now with all the vacant thrones now secure from being taking by any of the greedy nobles, Princess Aurora Silverlight sets to work ruling her mother’s Equestria and the ponies that live there. Princess Aurora’s first royal order was to change her mother’s long standing title of Princess of the Sun. To Grand Princess of the Sun. By doing so, this secured her own future and she will not be judged as the Princess of the Sun. Next, the Grand Princess transformed her middle brother Prince Somnus Silverlight into a male Alicorn (she could do the spell only once). After the transformation, like his big sister, he changed his aunt’s long standing title of Princess of the Moon. To Grand Prince of the Moon, for the same reason as his big sister did. Lastly, Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight adopted the title of Grand Princess as she feels she had no right to be called the Grand Princess of Love. she never planed to hold the Throne of Love forever.
After the Grand Prince of the Moon, Somnus Silverlight, fully embraces his new position and form as the new ruler of Dreams and the Night, things started to happen quickly in this young monarch’s reign. The bat pony’s forces, loyal to his Aunt Princess Luna (the original Princess of the Night and Protector of Dreams) start to abandon him. They felt he was not going to be able to fully embrace the night because he was born of the sun. At the cost of their standings within their own pony group, two bat ponies remain loyal to the Grand Prince. (Lunar Guard Captain Adrian Nightwing the grand prince’s personal guard since training under his Aunt Luna’s wing and Solar Guard special Trooper Sneaky Shadow.)
For the first two years of the Grand Prince’s rein he focused on trying to regain the loyalty of the whole bat pony population in Equestria at the same time fulfilling his duties as the new Ruler of the Moon. During that time, it met with minor success as individual bat ponies and small family groups pledged their loyalty to him. But what he desired the most; the loyalty of all the bat pony population still eluded him. In two and half years after ascending his aunt’s throne of the Moon, Grand Prince of the Moon, Somnus Silverlight found happiness in the form of a sea pony siren named Wave Runner. The two ponies dated for close to three years when he finally popped the question to her. Sea pony siren Wave Runner said ‘yes’ and married the Grand Prince a few years later.
One month into his new life as a married stallion and Ruler of the Moon, an event that would change the life of this newlywed couple happened. After a severe winter, an infection swept through the many cave bounded bat pony colonies in Equestria. A mold started to grow on the wings of healthy bat ponies causing sever sickness to the old and very young within the colony. The Grand Prince heard of this event within the colonies and rushed over to aid with the afflicted. He took samples of the wing mold and returned to Canterlot to begin a study of it in the hope of finding a cure. With his little sister, Grand Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight now ruling the Crystal Empire; he was left to use his very limited medicine knowledge to find a cure and ID the mold to stop it from happening again.
Over the next six months, he worked to identify the mold and find a cure before the whole bat pony population would succumb to the infection. Due to him not being a trained medic pony, it was a long shot for him, but he was not going to let the population die. He worked endless hours in his little sister’s hospital laboratory on the grounds of the royal palace trying to ID the mold. It finally caught up to him and he fell severely ill. As he was recuperating in bed, his wife Princess Wave Runner Silverlight snuck away from their bed chamber to the hospital laboratory to pick-up where her husband left off. Unknown to her husband she was a self trained Herbalist. She traveled in the seas around Equestria in her sea pony form and would use her ability to transform into a normal unicorn and talk with other herbalist about healing herbs.
With that great knowledge, she set to work studying the mold that her husband brought back to the palace. Before long, she quickly identified and figured out its origin. She set to work making a cure out of the herbs she had collected around Equestria. From dawn until dusk Princess Wave Runner worked to refine her elixir so it could be reproduced.
A week later, Grand Prince Somnus felt better and headed to the lab to begin his work anew; fearing him being laid-up for that long would doom the population. As the Grand Prince entered the hospital laboratory, he found his wife fast asleep with her head on top of a journal written by her and a small bottle with some red liquid in it.
After putting his wife to bed, he returned to the lab and read over his wife’s journal. He blinked with surprise! Within the pages of the journal were detailed experimental notes with every kind of herbs know to; pony kind. As he continued to read his wife’s journal, his breath catches in his throat. The very last entry was the cure for the bat ponies’ wing mold and how to mass produce it. As he was looking at the first small bottle inside his magic bubble with the cure in it, the laboratory door opens and standing just inside the door with a smile on her snout was Princess Wave Runner. Before she knew what happened, he pulled her toward him with his magic and hugged her tightly.
Over the next few weeks, using the notes in his wife’s journal and his little sister’s hospital staff, they made enough of the elixir to save every bat pony colony in Equestria. On his return to Canterlot, after delivering the cure to the bat pony caves, his wife asks her husband if it will change anything with him and the bat ponies. Grand Prince Somnus looked at his wife and shrugged his shoulders; Wave Runner knew her husband didn’t do it to gain the loyalty of the bat ponies. He did it because that’s what his Aunt Luna would do as the ruler of the Moon and the Night. Two months later while finishing up night court Grand Prince Somnus was visited by all the elders of the bat ponies’ population, who pledged their loyalty to him.
As Grand Prince Somnus was busy trying to win back the loyalty of his aunt’s bat pony troops, life went on in the Royal Palace. As Grand Princess of the Sun, Aurora Silverlight went about her royal duties as the new ruler of Equestria. But in the deep dark corners of the city a new plot was being hatched to take advantage of the absence of the bat pony night watch. Several individual ponies pooled their bits together to put a contract out on the life of Grand Princess Aurora. The contract would have never been fulfilled if not for the anonymous donor of the rest of the payment (only clue to the anonymous pony was a moderate violet colored strand of mane hair that was caught in a string around the bag).
With the contract fully paid off, the first assassination attempt happened that night. As Grand Princess Aurora was removing her Princess’s regalia in her private bed chamber, something caused her to abruptly move to one side. In doing so, a crossbow bolt aimed at her heart tipped with some kind of sap shattered a vase on a stand nearby. The sound caused her to jump. With the first assassination attempt ending in a failure, the assassin continued his attempts to kill the Grand Princess. But as the failures continued to happen, it seemed that some unseen force was protecting the Grand Princess from harm and the assassin’s bolts. In a last ditch effort to complete the contract the assassin attacked the Grand Princess up close and personal in her private bed chamber.
The sneak attack against the Grand Princess quickly ended in failure unlike Aurora who was no unskilled mare in the use of weapons. As Aurora delivered the killing blow against the assassin, the royal palace guards arrived. An exhausted Aurora ordered the guards to remove the dead assassin from her bed chamber. A few moments later, her brother, Grand Prince Somnus arrived and asked his sister if she was ok. Grand Princess Aurora turn towards her brother and told him she wants his Solar Guard special investigating unit to look into the attempt on her life.
The following month, the Solar Guard special investigating unit launched a full investigation into the attempts against the Grand Princess of the Sun. Before long, all the conspirators involved in the plot were rounded-up and dealt with. Most were turned in by their own families who were loyal to the rule of the Grand Princess of the Sun. But the oddest thing was that Princess Twilight Sparkle: The Princess of Friendship kept a close eye on the Solar Guard Investigation into the assassination attempts. She offered no reason why she was watching the case so closely and only said it was her duty as the Princess of Equestria.
Shatter Realm Chronicles
For the years that Grand Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight ruled the Crystal Empire, the land became exceptional, more than Princess Cadence could have ever imagined. But still, the weight of the Crown of Love felt heavy upon Blueberry’s head. Unlike her older brother and sister who were born to rule the land of Equestria, (Trained by Princess Celestia their mother and Princess Luna their aunt) Grand Princess Blueberry was more suited to a support role. Her compassion and heart was great in scale. But when it came to royal policies, her doubts kept her questioning her own decisions, eventhough none of her policies hurt the land or the ponies she ruled.
The longer she sat on the Throne of Love the more lingering doubts plagued her mind. She wondered if Princess Flurry Heart would ever come around to take over her mother’s throne and rule like she intended her to do. As time moved on, the bitterness in Flurry heart’s own heart never abated, forcing Grand Princess Blueberry to continue her unwanted reign as the Grand Princess of Love and ruler of the Crystal Empire. During the last Royal Conference that was held in the Crystal Empire, Grand Princess Blueberry took her sister Grand Princess Aurora aside and told her about all the doubts she had.
Grand Princess Aurora tries her best to alleviate her little sister’s doubts, but in the end she couldn’t help to ease her little sister’s mind. Later that same night, Grand Prince Somnus arrived at the Royal Conference after finishing up a few pressing matters with his Throne of the Moon in Canterlot. As he was settling in at his bed chamber in the Crystal Palace for the start of the Royal Conference, Aurora arrived and spoke to her brother. She told him everything that their little sister told her. Somnus sighed softly and told his sister he sensed Blueberry’s troubled mind when he arrived in the Crystal Palace. But unfortunately, there was nothing the two of them could do for their little sister, but tried to help where they could.
As the seasons came and went, Grand Princess Blueberry continued her rule of the Crystal Empire. In doing so, her trouble mind became suppressed and her doubts started to build-up to a level that no ordinary pony could withstand. If not for her lineage as a half Alicorn/half unicorn, that much build-up would have snapped her already frayed mind. As Grand Princess Blueberry grew into mare hood all the doubts she once had as an inexperienced ruler disappeared. She became that strong ruler that her siblings knew she could be. With her new found confidence, Grand Princess Blueberry remained at the helm of the Crystal Empire. Under her leadership, the Crystal Empire grew grander in scope; even the northern lights grew brighter and more intense, shining the power of love across Equestria.
In the Friendship Kingdom and Ponyville it was stuck in the mundane with Princess Twilight Sparkle and her Friendship Assembly busy solving numerous small friendship problems throughout Equestria. It left little time for the Friendship Kingdom to catch-up to the rest of the land in scope, allowing the dark element that escaped out of the Capital city to bury itself deep in the Friendship Kingdom normalcy.
The conductor of this dangerous dark element was a wicked female Imperator Alicorn named Harmonia. In ancient pony times, Harmonia was an impartial being that held dominion over the forces of harmony. She herself created the very elements of Harmony that Equestria was built around and governed by. As her harmony started to spread across the universe, the more she felt her disharmony side was of no use to her. In a fateful decision, Harmonia split and sealed away her disharmony side, leaving her pure.
In doing so, this caused her to become unbalanced without the darkness to balance the light. She was no longer an impartial being instead of letting the planet inhabitants learn for themselves the ways of harmony. She forcefully taught the planet inhabitants the ways of harmony, setting off numerous wars on the planet she ruled over. In the end, the planet destroyed itself and its population.
The heinous destruction of a whole planet and its inhabitants caught the attention of Empress Galaxy Cosmos the supreme ruler of all Imperator Alicorns in known space. She demanded Harmonia appear before her and explain herself, so she did. In an emotionless response, Harmonia said to her Empress, ‘they deserve it’ Sensing no remorse at all about the loss of a planet and its people in Harmonia, Galaxy pass judgment on her. The Empress seals the wicked Harmonia in a hollowed out asteroid and shoots it into the endless space ways forever. The asteroid that held the wicked Harmonia was named the Dark Star and mistakenly called the Wishing Star.
For eons, the Dark Star asteroid traveled the endless space ways in an endless arch. It passed once every one thousand years over the planet that the land of Equestria inhabited. Until a clash of very powerful light and dark magic knocked its off it course. The asteroid got caught in the planet’s gravity well and crashed there fully intact.
It buried itself deep in the planet crust never to be found, until a small group of Diamond Dogs looking for gems broke into the crashed asteroid shell awakening the wicked Harmonia from her long sleep. Extremely weak, she remained hidden underground for years. When she finally felt strong enough, she made her way to the surface byway of the tunnels in the mountains.
She came upon a land locked in turmoil. Harmonia, using her ability to hide in plain sight, travel about this turbulent land called Equestria learning everything she could about this place. While resting in a mountain cave somewhere in Equestria, Harmonia had a vision that would change the destiny of many ponies in this land:
The vision was of a yellow sun giving birth to three small suns. Two of the suns were stronger than the next and the third sun was the most powerful of them all. But the third sun was weaker than the last two suns. A dark claw reaches out and snatches the third sun from the orbit of the larger sun, causing the larger sun to cry. As the larger sun weeps, the smaller sun transforms into a larger red sun and takes the place of the yellow sun and the other two suns before destroying itself.
The next morning, Harmonia rose from her slumber with the vision still in her head. She headed to the city in the mountains. Once there, Harmonia found her way to the Grand Royal Palace at the center of the city. As Harmonia was spying on the ponies inside the palace, her attention was drawn to a heartbroken white female Alicorn wearing a gold tiara, collar and horseshoes.
As she relished the torment that the Alicorn was giving off, it was not the reason it got her attention. On the Alicorn flank was the same sun symbol from her vision. Harmonia figured that this must be the larger sun from her vision. Over the next few months, Harmonia learned everything about the heartbroken Princess Celestia and the cause of the turmoil in her land.
Then one evening as Princess Celestia was alone in her own bed chamber, Harmonia appeared before her in her original form. She offered the grief-stricken Princess Celestia a deal. She would restore harmony in her land if she would give something up. Princess Celestia took Harmonia up on the deal.
The Remaining part of the history has been magically sealed by the royal order of Princess Celestia Silverlight and her Royal family.
It is forbidden for anyone to break the magic seal on this document with the exception of Princess Celestia Silverlight and her royal foals.
Shatter Realm Chronicles
Harmonia fulfilled her end of the agreement with the deal struck; she brought harmony back to Equestria to the delight of the heartbroken Princess Celestia. After finishing her job, Harmonia disappeared. She watched and waited for the first signs of the prophecy coming true. She didn’t have long to wait because the return of Princess Celestia’s little sister Princess Luna was the first sign. As time moved forward, more signs of the prophecy started to appear in the life of Princess Celestia and her land. The next notable sign of the prophecy was Celestia falling in love with noble unicorn knight named Sir. Justice Silverlight and marrying him.
Many years later, Princess Celestia Silverlight gave birth to her first foal, a filly which she named Aurora. Harmonia sensed great power in this foal and knew she would walk the path of light like her noble mother. Many years later, Celestia gave birth to her second foal, a colt which she named Somnus. Like Aurora before him, he had great power. But what surprised Harmonia was that he walked the line between paths of light and dark. His noble heart and his aunt kept him from following the easy path of dark magic.
Then, finally, what Harmonia was waiting for, Celestia gave birth to her last foal another filly which she named Blueberry. Blueberry was the most powerful of all her foals. She walked not the path of light or dark, but walked the path of love. It was the most powerful magic in Equestria and the easiest to twist and reform to evil. With the prophecy now fulfilled, Harmonia started to make plans to seize the powerful Blueberry and twist her to evil.
On the day of Celestia’s foals’ coronation, Harmonia attacked. She quickly dispatched the royal palace guards that were stationed around the ballroom. The guests that were attending the private party to welcome the new royal foals to Equestria offered no resistance as the overwhelming magic energy commanded by Harmonia knocked them unconscious. This left the three princesses, Solar Guard Special Trooper Sneaky Shadow and the royal foals to face Harmonia in battle. Solar Guard Special Trooper Sneaky Shadow was the first to be defeated as Harmonia slammed him against the back wall knocking him unconscious. Quickly Princess Luna and Princess Cadance took up a position between Harmonia and their students.
Instead of the long magic duel she knew would happen with the three Princesses, Harmonia targeted their hearts. The first heart she targeted was Princess Celestia: Aurora’s mother. For a long time now Celestia knew if the seal she placed on her daughter’s magic well would ever be broken, it would destroy her from the inside and she could do nothing to save her. With a flick of Harmonia’s hoof she broke the magic seal. At first Celestia thought Harmonia’s spell failed. But soon she started to sense the magic building up inside her daughter’s body to a critical level. Not wanting her daughter to die because of her, she gave-up and Harmonia resealed the magic well. This left Aurora unconscious as her mother held her in her wings.
The next heart she targeted was Princess Luna: Somnus’ Aunt. The one thing she feared was her beloved nephew becoming what she was thousands years ago; a pony of nightmares and hate. With a simple spell, Harmonia transformed Somnus into the next Nightmare Moon right in front of Luna. Face to face with her biggest fear, Luna gave-up and Harmonia turned Somnus back to normal. He was left traumatized; being held in the wings of his Aunt Luna with two of the Princesses now occupied caring for their students.
The toughest heart to target was Princess Cadance: Blueberry’s cousin. With Princess Cadance strong command over the power of love, Harmonia couldn’t just make her face her deepest fear. Her heart was too strong for that to work.
So Harmonia took another tack. She targeted Blueberry straight away, after intentionally breaking Cadance’s ankle by stomping on it which weakened her resistance. Harmonia snatched Blueberry away from Cadance with her magic. She pinned the struggling Blueberry to the ground in front of her with magic and reared up above her. She came down hard on the ground beside Blueberry and pretended that she killed Blueberry who passed out from the fear. The display of Harmonia’s killing her caused Cadance to lose her temper and make her forget what her element was. Cadance promised she would make Harmonia pay for killing Blueberry.
The unconscious Blueberry came to and stops Cadance from falling into the trap Harmonia set for her with her plan now defeated. Harmonia went back to her original plan with the three Princesses’ magic still blocked by her more powerful magic.
“Harmonia! Bring back my baby! Bring back my Blueberry! Bring her back to meeee!” Celestia yelled as she watched Harmonia snatch Blueberry and disappear with her.
Over the next six months the once again heartbroken Princess Celestia searched for her kidnapped daughter throughout Equestria, not knowing that Harmonia was hiding in Canterlot right under her nose. When all hope was lost, Princess Celestia Silverlight was visited by Empress Galaxy Cosmos the supreme ruler of the imperator Alicorns. At first she didn’t trust the Empress because she was an Imperator Alicorn like the wicked Harmonia, who kidnapped her daughter.
Sensing that, Galaxy revealed to Celestia what her real last name was. The name she spoke came as shock to her. As the shock wore off, Galaxy told Celestia where her kidnapped daughter was. Later that same day, Celestia and a small group of the elite Solar Guard troops went to the location Galaxy told her. After a two hour battle with the small group of troops seduced by the charms of the wicked Harmonia, Celestia and her Solar Guard troops breached the Old Keeps doors. Inside the Old Keep, Celestia was reunited with her kidnapped daughter Blueberry. After making sure she was fine. Celestia made her way to the top floor of the Keep to find the wicked Harmonia and make her pay for kidnapping her daughter.
A moment later a huge magical shockwave caused the Old Keeps walls to shudder with great power. On the top floor of the Old Keep stood Princess Celestia Silverlight. Her face was fixed in smoldering glances as Harmonia made good on her escape and went into hiding. With a solemn pledge Celestia promised that no pony will ever again put her foals in danger or harm them as long as she lives.
Altered History Part 5
Back in the Friendship Kingdom and Ponyville, Imperator Alicorn Harmonia disguised herself as a strong earth pony and worked odd jobs around Ponyville to hide from the watchful eyes of the elite Solar Guard unit out of Canterlot. A year later, the disguised Harmonia got a huge opportunity when rumors started to swirl about disharmony occurring within the walls of the Castle of Friendship in Ponyville. The rumors Harmonia heard were that Princess Twilight Sparkle and her Friendship Assembly were getting stretched too thin with so many friendship missions they must do around Equestria that all were returning to Ponyville exhausted.
Many of the friendship assembly members had other jobs to do in Equestria and were too tired to do them. So tempers began to flare, turning the friendship assembly into a hot headed group of fighting mares, pretending to be friends. Quickly, Princess Twilight Sparkle reined in the friendship assembly before it got too bad. To learn if the rumors were true, Harmonia disguise herself as a unicorn and got a job as a royal maid in the Castle of Friendship. With her disguise, she had free rein of the Castle of Friendship, with the exception of the throne room, at the center of the castle on the first floor. The throne room was always guarded by two Canterlot division Solar Guard troopers. They were hoof picked by Celestia for Twilight after Starlight Glimmer messed with the object inside.
Only one special unicorn maid was allowed into the throne room. She was hoof picked by Princess Twilight to clean the room when it was not in use. This maid was under very strict royal orders and was not allowed to speak about what was inside the room. That evening, Harmonia followed the special maid back to her home in Ponyville. When the maid turned-in for the night, Harmonia cast a very powerful sleep spell on her to keep her asleep. The next morning, in the disguise of the sleeping maid, Harmonia was let into the Throne room to clean it.
On the other side of the golden-framed green glass doors was a huge chamber. Hanging from the ceiling, was a gem-lined chandelier made from the roots of a huge tree. Under the chandelier sat seven crystalline thrones above a star-shaped dais on a golden dish. As Harmonia neared the chairs, something reacted to her and a table with a three-dimensional interactive map of Equestria rose to greet her. As she looked at the table, the holographic symbol of Princess Twilight’s cutie mark hovers over a place on the map marking north. After looking at it for awhile, she figures out the location. It was the Crystal City. With no idea why the cutie mark was hovering over the Crystal City, Harmonia transformed back to her original form of Imperator Alicorn.
With that, Imperator Alicorn inherited the ability of forever sight. Harmonia closed her eyes and concentrated on the location. Before long, her sight fell upon an enraged Princess Flurry Heart destroying several vases with her magic bolts in her bed chamber as her maids look on. After secretly reading Princess Flurry Heart’s mind (with the mind read ability) a malicious smile formed on Harmonia’s snout. ‘With this unskilled young Alicorn filly and her huge ego. she will make a worthy puppet ruler for me’ Harmonia thought as she cast a spell on the table that blocked the alert from going off and summoning Princess Twilight and her Friendship Assembly to the room.
With the block spell in place on the table, Harmonia charges up her horn and opens a wormhole from the Castle of Friendship to the outskirts of the Crystal City. Once through the wormhole, the opening at the Castle of Friendship collapses, allowing Harmonia to step out of the other side in the Crystal Empire. Once in the Empire, Harmonia uses her natural hide in plain sight ability and begins to learn all about the problems going on in the city and the Empire.
During one of her information gathering activities in the Crystal City, Harmonia is shocked to see a full grown unicorn mare wearing the Princess’s regalia of love walking about the city as the crystal ponies’ bow to her as she passes them. A cold chill runs down Harmonia’s back when she realizes who the mare was; Princess Celestia Silverlight’s younger daughter Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight. A wave of fear washed over her when she senses that the Princess is no longer unable to access her full magic energy. This thought causes Harmonia to rethink her whole plan for Princess Flurry Heart, for if Princess Blueberry discovers that she is in the Crystal Empire, everything she has planned up to now will come crashing down around her.
During the Winter Solstice (basically her Aunt Luna’s day) Princess Flurry Heart launches her impromptu power play for the Throne of Love in the Crystal Empire, which the Grand Princess of Love, Blueberry, had been planning for. But even the best laid plans have hiccups and that hiccup was a new advisor Rose Eventide (unicorn mare). Advisor Eventide stroked Princess Flurry Heart’s ego about being a natural born Alicorn. Princess Flurry Heart ate it up like candy and was soon obeying whatever Advisor Eventide would tell her to do as long as she kept pumping-up her ego. In that very moment, any order issued by Princess Flurry Heart would change the power play from simple depose of the Grand Princess of Love to the beginning of tyranny that would kill her mother Princess Cadence, the original Princess of Love.
In the throne room of the Crystal Palace, the noble Grand Princess of Love Blueberry Swirl Silverlight stood defiant. She would not let Princess Flurry Heart eradicate all Princess Cadence (Flurry Heart’s Mother) work in the Crystal Empire with her ego. Princess Flurry Heart lifted her hoof up and ordered the execution of a crystal pony maid in front of Blueberry. She promised she would kill one crystal pony for as long as the Grand Princess of Love Blueberry remained on the throne. Even with the loss of just one Crystal pony, Blueberry stepped down as the ruler of the Crystal Empire and was quickly imprison in the dungeon of the Crystal Palace. Princess Flurry Heart’s plan for Princess Blueberry was to use her as a symbol of the superiority of a natural born Alicorn to a half breed Alicorn.
But Advisor Eventide had other plans for Blueberry; she knew that Princess Blueberry would be a huge danger to her plans. So, Advisor Eventide secretly ordered the execution of Princess Blueberry right under Princess Flurry Heart’s nose. If not for a small group of loyalist in the palace, she would have been killed while she was in her cell that night. The loyalist got a critical message to a sleeper cell of the Solar Guard unit hidden in the Crystal city. With the message in hoof, the sleeper cell got Princess Blueberry out of the dungeon and out of the Empire before Princess Flurry Heart knew what had happened.
