Pinkie Pie had an idea, planning a Mother’s Day surprise for her friends, and Twilight Sparkle is not escaping this time. How Pinkie Pie came up with the idea, or how she managed to pull the strings together is anypony’s guess. Pinkamena Diane Pie does not say.
For some reason, Twilight Sparkle had forgotten that it is Mother’s day, again. Maybe Spike could have told her, had she not sent him off on an errand just the other day.
A gift is a gift, even if it was from her long time friend Pinkie Pie. This time, it had been Mr. Chekov’s gun. Just like Mr. Checkov’s gun is known to, it goes off.
