Chapter one, Entering Equestria
CHARA POV.
I couldn't help but groan as my awareness returned to me. The first thing I noticed was I seemed off as if everything around me was too big and my clothes didn't feel right. I can't help but think that I don't remember what happened to me, the last thing I remember was helping my friend with our displaced fic and we had just finished the first chapter.
I decided to finally open my eyes and noticed that I don't know where I am though it resembles a castle that had been run down suddenly. I noticed another lump near me moving and decided to check then out after grabbing my pocket knife that I never leave without still I notice that it's bigger than usual but that doesn't matter because I don't know where I am and the bigger the weapon the better. I slowly reach out to the skeletal thing in front of me when it suddenly wakes up and looks directly at me
“Goddammit,” It said, sitting up. “I think we just got displaced.”
I jumped back in surprise and this. “The fuck? You can talk?!” I exclaimed, holding my knife in front of me in case whatever it is is hostile.
Skeletons POV
“Chara, calm down, it’s me… the one who worked on the fic with you last night,” I said, holding my hands up in a placating gesture.
“Why did you call me Chara? Who are you? How do I know you're my friend and not the one that kidnapped me?” They asked rapid fire, holding their knife at me.
“Because, you got displaced as Chara, I’m Zelzar, and you know because I know you originally made a post on fim about needing help with a Chara story, and I PMed you,” I replied easily.
They visibly relaxed a little. “Okay so we're displaced you know I read tons of fiction like this but I never thought it would happen to me always wanted it too but I didn't want to get my hopes up,” They reply.
“Well, it did… now we just gotta figure out where we are, and what kinda equestria we’re in,” I responded, frowning a little. Hopefully, it wasn’t in the same one we were writing about… but I had a suspicion it was.
“You do realize that we're not that lucky right we get this place as our characters right as we finished the first chapter we'd have a better chance of finding a snowball in the fiery pits of hell then actually ending up in a safe Equestria,” Chara said with a raised brow. “But if we're going by the time line that we had set up we only have to defeat a few Equestria's the slave Equestria, conversion Bureau Equestria and maybe Fall of Equestria before we finally get to the original Equestria,” they reply.
“Well, we better get to work then… as soon as we figure out our powers,” I said, frowning thoughtfully.
They looked worried for a second before starting to search around for something. “Damn it, where is it?!” They exclaimed.
“Where’s what?” I asked them.
“My phone!” They exclaimed, sounding a little panicked. “I've never gone anywhere without my phone since I got it I know I have my pocket knife and if I'm correct I have Charas true knife but I need to find my phone maybe if we have that it might connect to something,” They said.
I looked at their pants, seeing a buldge in their other pocket. “Did you check your other pocket?” I asked, raising a non-existent eyebrow.
They looked at me in confusion before slowly checking the other pocket and looking embarrassed when they found it. “Yeah… we're not going to speak of this again,” They said, blushing a little as they started going through their phone checking for Wi-Fi signals when they scrunch their face up and confusion as it's something didn't make sense.
“What are you getting?” I asked.
“Well my batteries charging without a charger and I'm getting perfect Wi-Fi signal from my moms…” They started, face scrunching more. “I'm pretty sure we're in another dimension so how am I getting Wi-Fi here?” They questioned.
“I dunno, maybe all the magic in the air?” I suggested.
“You do know that we're going to have to record and upload this to our internet right?” They asked. “I don't care if you don't want to be seen like this I'm uploading this onto YouTube especially with all the views as I could get.”
“Go ahead, then I can brag I get magic and they don’t,” I said with a smirk, winking at them.
“And if we're going by that logic” they returned “then I should be able to one shot almost everyone… if only I can figure out how to get this power working… ”
“Well, you need to kill first Chara, you’re only at LV 1 if we’re just starting out here, remember,” I reminded them.
“But I want to be able to one shot!” They wined
“Don’t worry, if we’re in the slave verse, kill anyone you want, I don’t care, as long as they’re a pony for slavery, you’ll get to 20 LV by the time we get to Celestia,” I said, ruffling their hair a little.
“You promise?” They sniffed as they get up off the ground, watery eyed as they looked up at me… then they looks like they just realized something. “God damn it I'm a kid again I was 20 something before this happened!”
“Well, I think I’m a boss monster, so I’m immortal till something kills me… so at least we get to spend more time together this way,” I offered, shrugging.
“That doesn't mean anything most if not all displaced are Immortal until they are killed I wouldn't be surprised if I'm stuck as a kid for eternity that's the kind of troll we were probably displaced by!” They shouted, before crossing their arms and huffing like the kid they now were.
“If you want, I’ll try and learn a aging spell to make you twenty again, okay?” I offered, picking them up… I was a lot taller then them.
“No no, this could work to our advantage no one would expect a kid!” Chara exclaimed.
“Except other Undertale fans that got displaced, but otherwise, yeah,” I said, nodding in agreement, before setting them on my shoulders. “Now, how about we get outta here?” I suggested, standing.
“Yeah but if they do capture me somehow they wouldn't suspect me they would see a small kid, and let their defenses down.” Chara said, and I could tell they were smiling as I started walking out of the castle and into a wooded area.
“And I could shiv them in their sleep!” they added, “Besides we need to stay here, this is a well-defended place and we could use that to our to advantage,” they finished.
“While that is all true, we need firewood… or at least, you do, I’m a skeleton in a bunch of armour, I’m pretty sure I won’t feel cold,” I said.
“But couldn't you have left me back there while you go and get it?” They asked.
“Well, I didn’t want to rudely leave in the middle of you talking,” I said simply, finding a nice tree. I reached up, grabbing a branch, before pulling… snapping the whole thing right off. “This should be good,” I commented.
“Yeah yeah firewood and all that but we need to come up with a game plan we need to take out an Element of Harmony… but the only thing I can see being of any consequence to us is if I go for the weakest like Fluttershy.” Chara said, sounding like they were thinking hard on this.
“I could see her letting her guard down around a child like me and then all I'd have to do is stab her,” they said. “Does this make me a bad person that Fluttershy was my first thought for a target?” they asked.
“If against slavery, then yes, if for it, then no,” I said simply, continuing to walk, following a path until we got to some bushes. I looked ahead, peeking through, and seeing a certain cottage. “If you wanna find out, go look… you can always stay hidden and kill a friend when they come over, just act injured until then,” I said, setting them down.
“Yeah yeah but I need you to punch me I need to be crying if I'm going to fake her out,” They said while putting their pocket knife in their pocket.
“Alright,” I said, before punching them in their stomach before they could brace themself.
“Ahh! You fucking asshole! They cried out in pain as tears welled up in their eyes they started to stumble forward towards the cottage with their arms wrapped around their stomach just as the front door was opening.
I quickly climbed into the tree nearby, silently observing, sending them a mental apology… it had to be convincing, after all.
CHARAS POV.
My vision with a little blurry after the punch that asshole gave me. I silently swore Vengeance as I stumbled toward the cottage door hearing it crack open hoping to all hell that I'm not about to kill an innocent. But if this is who I think it is in this is a slave shop that shy was running. Then I was going to enjoy this way more than I should.
All of a sudden I heard a soft Angelica voice Say “and what in the world could this little product be doing out here?” She said, still managing to somehow sound Kind… despite what she was doing. As I felt her pick me up I silently reached back, looked up, grabbed my knife, and stabbed her through the throat. Her eyes widened as the pegasus mare with a yellow coat and pink mane shocked on her own blood, looking at me with wide eyes before the life left them.
I turned, about to walk away, but as an afterthought I grabbed her soul as I made my way back to my skeletal bro.
“How’d it go?” I heard him ask, before he dropped from a tree, meeting me half way.
“Well the Elements of Harmony aren't going to be a problem anymore,” I said before wiping my bloody knife off on him. “And that's for not giving me a chance to prepare,” I say as an afterthought.
“Thats fair enough… it looks cool though,” He commented. I’d wiped the blood on on his forearms, and the blade left red flame like marks on his skeleton arms. He took the green SOUL from me, before shoving it into his chest.
“We need to get out of here now before someone notices that flutter bitch over there is dead,” I commented. He nodded, before grabbing me and picking me up, putting me on his back like he was giving me a piggyback ride, grabbing the branch he’d torn off a tree and running back towards the castle. But not before I had a chance to set the house on fire with all of her little Woodland Critters trapped inside
We soon got to the castle, and he set me down in the throne room. “Hey, here, I think you’ll like this,” He said, before seeming to concentrate. Slowly, a white orb outline in green appeared in his skeletal hand, before he held it out to me.
I suddenly felt a rush like I just been given a coffee but instead of using water they used Red Bull, liquid sugar, and caffeine, I guess would be the best way to describe it. “Wow!” I exclaimed at the top of my lungs.
“What?” He asked, smirking a little. “Just get the EXP from those critters or was that the KINDNESS I shared?”
“Hey I feel like I just drink a Redbull and liquid sugar instead of water I think you can forgive me for my outburst.” I said, a little offended.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend, I was trying to tease you,” He said, rubbing the back of his skull sheepishly.
“Yeah I'm sorry I shouldn't have gotten upset so quickly it's just… I think it's finally settling in that we're fucking here and they went in raw dry and rough,” I say as I rub my eyes tired early.
“I think maybe a rest is what would be best, how about you?” Zelzar asked calmly.
“Yeah I guess you're right,” I said tiredly as I start to doze off. He picked me up again, taking me up some steps, and into a tower. There, he opened a door, finding a room that still had a decent enough bed, setting me down on it, before getting in with me and curling his large form around me.
Zelzar POV
I watched silently as they fell asleep. They were my friend, and I wasn’t gonna let anything happen to them… even if I had to kill all of Equus.
