The second Ace

A group of men in black suits were swarming all over the floor of the compound when suddenly a dark figure appeared on the upper terrace."There he is get him!" hearing his pursuers closing the figure leaped out of sight.

"Alright everyone in position?"

"Ima ready."

"Same here."

"Okie doiky doll!"

"I still don't like that name."

"Girls focus! it looks like everyone's ready we'll recover the package once we're outside, see you there ace."

"Suspect.....main.....cover..."

"Huh, what's with that?"

"Nevermind that everybody run, we'll use the secondary extraction point."

Ace continued his path across the chandeliers while listening to his teammates.

"Gotta say that was quite bold showing yourself like that ace!"

"Yea he was totally awesome...But I coulda done better."

"No bolt you couldn't."

"Who asked you, flare!"

Ace continued along his route until a group of suits appeared on the next platform.

"There's too many!"

"no problem, changing course."

"You rock Navi." Ace said as he jumped to the lower hanging ceiling beams.

Tell me something I don't know."

"Yer dog's riding my leg."

"Wait your not diamond! Why'd you trick me like that?"

We don't have time for this bandit, lupin do I need to intervene."

"No ma'em!"

"I'll be good, I'll be good."

As he reached the end of the beams Ace came upon a platform that appeared empty until he stepped onto it. At that moment one of the black suited men appeared on the opposite side and then turned black as he expanded into a larger verson of himself with a mask where his shades were before.

"Looks like their serious about stopping us, take them down ace!"

Ace took a running start at the now masked man and lept onto his back and in one quick fluid motion ripped the mask from him. As the man collapsed he appeared to liquefy before he solidified into a huge winged human with a owls head.

"Scanning targets, this one weak you shouldn't have a problem."

Hearing Navi's assessment Ace pulled out a gleaming silver pistol and quickly emptied the clip into the monster causing it to collapse to the floor. He then proceeded to slice it to ribbons with his knife before it evaporated.

"Don't just stand there get moving!"

Immediately after the fight two more men in shades appeared at the same point.

"No choice gotta run through them huh, hang on."

A second later a rope could be heard snapping and the beam that was unseen above them landed square on both of them.

"Bulls-eye!"

"nice shot bandit, ok navi got a exit for us?"

"One sec...There through the doors down the left hall and up the stairs, got that?"

Ace followed the instructions up until he got to a room where three men in suits were constantly surveying the room."Need a alt navi."

"Look left and up."

Right there was a vent ace wasted no time in climbing in. From his cramped but hidden position he could overhear the three men speaking.

"Did you check the upper floor?"

"I lost contact with the men up there a few seconds ago."

"Ok let's regroup on the ground floor. He's not getting away this time."

After that the men went down the hallway to the right.

'Huh?' "Hey navi?"

"What's up?"

"Ground floor's down the right."

"And?"

"Exactly how am I getting out of here?"

"You'll see once you get there."

Ace continued through the vent and came out in front of a large stained glass window.

"Seriously?"

"Come on if joker's group out does us we'll never live it down!"

"Got it?" Ace grinned as he stepped up to the railing.

"Halt!" yelled out a suit that had made his way to this area no doubt on his way to regrouping with the three from earlier.

'Well no choice now.' Ace quickly lept atop the railing raced to the side with the window, then turned as more suits came in "See ya." and then he back-flipped through the window spinning around to angle himself to make it look a dramatic as possible.

"Let's see joker top that!"

"Not bad...but you shouldn't be so reckless."

"That was spectacular, the cuffs didn't even-"

"Diamond, escape now, fashion later.

"ok everyone's out now just don't get-"

Before his teammate could finish their sentence a floodlight turned on a few feet from him followed shortly after by countless others and dozens of silhouettes "Get him!" someone called and shortly after a flood of cops came at him.

Ace ran for all he was worth barely staying  a few feet out of reach when he came upon a fire escape. Seeing his chance he jumped up to the ladder being mindful of his pursuers kept from straitening his legs until he was already climbing up. Taking a moment to look back he saw that the cops on the ground were...not following him? This was puzzling until he turned his head around and found at least five rifles pointed at his head, ace understandable hesitated but that was all they needed as the one that had his gun leveled at him brought the gun up in a wide arc and slammed the butt hard into his face he didn't remember falling but the next thing he knew he was on the ground with his hands behind his back. "Just so you know, this wouldn't have been possible without a mutual friend of ours. That's right punk you were sold out." as his vision went dark the last thing he thought was 'why?'...
