The Day the War against Humanity truly started
Chapter 1.
Paris – France Division of the ‘Conversion Bureau’ - Detention Room -
It was strange at the beginning to add a detention room to a place supposed to be there to HELP humans, but seeing how MANY were against the idea of turning into ponies, the Equestrians understood Celestia’s wish to add those particular rooms since Humanity’s rudeness and savage upbringing was making them against the idea of turning into a more calm form.
Especially not as violent and war-like as their original one of course.
It was also a special day for the ponies as the Equestrian forces had finally captured the HQ of the Human forces that were fighting tooth and nail against the Conversion, the various human soldiers had been already turned into New-foals bar their Leader that Celestia in person (accompanied by the Elements of Harmony and several dozen of guards) were waiting for in that same room to talk with a last time before he too was Converted.
“How is he?” Celestia’s sister, Luna, asked to one of the guards.
“Strangely calm, not an ounce unnerved or angry...Honestly speaking, your Highness, it’s making the others kind of jumpy...We have no idea why he is doing this...” The guard answered shivering.
“Maybe he saw how well his friends took the Conversion and accepted our help?” Pinkie Pie said smiling.
“Unlikely...” Twilight Sparkle answered thoughtful.
“Uh?” the Pink pony muttered confused.
“The others...The other soldiers had to be force-fed the Potion, and a couple even managed to bite the ones restraining them...one even cut-off his on hand to attack us because we had chained him down...But this one isn’t fighting back?” Twilight explained.
“That is why we are worried.” the Unicorn soldier answered nodding unsure.
At those words a human male, clearly above the fifty-years of age was seen walk calmly inside the room escorted by several Unicorns and
Pegasus guards and then sat he sat with regal composure at the only table and chair in the otherwise empty room and watched right at Celestia through the transparent armored glass separating his room from the Princess and the others without making a sound.
“Your name, Human?” the guard that stood closer to the glass asked through the intercom.
“Commander Paxton, James Paxton. Commander of the 303rd division of the Human Defense Forces, former Marine of the United States of America before we had to re-organize and fight Ponies and needed to change name to the organization.” the man answered calmly with a small smile on his face while passing a hand through his already-grey hair with some difficulties because of the handcuffs he was wearing.
“Do you know why you are here?” Celestia herself asked making his smirk grow larger to show rows after rows of sharp teeth.
“I have a suspect...And I guess choosing the color of my future fur or...mane...is not an option?” the man answered in cold amusement.
“Is he serious?” Dash asked dumbfounded.
“He is mocking us, dear.” Rarity answered annoyed.
“HEY!”
“Yes, you are here to be Converted, we are just trying to help Humanity...But your group has fought us again and again. Destroying the conversion bureaus around the world and attacking the convoys bringing the Potion. We have no choice but turning you into ponies, otherwise the clash between our ‘worlds’ will erase you, we are just trying to save your people!” Celestia said harshly.
“Our defeat. We knew it was inevitable, the continuous attacks of you horses at our bases and the betrayal of some of us left us in no doubt we were fighting a losing battle...Good job in convincing those idiots that turning into a Pony would have been a good thing for them, by the way. I knew the population of ‘idiots’ and ‘sycophants’ of this world was high, but I would have never guessed we would have lost a war because some assholes wanted to live their fantasy and fuck a horse!” Paxton answered laughing uproariously.
“I...Beg you pardon?” Celestia asked confused, and a little disturbed.
“Huhuhu! You have to thank that stuff of yours changing the mind as well other than the body, otherwise you would have brought ‘Pony Lovers’ inside your cities...Those sickos would have fucked every mare OR Stallion (There is nothing wrong in that, I am not judging, mind you) they could have put their new hooves on!” the soldier said laughing again at the horrified expression on everybody’s face.
“W-W-What?!” Luna asked while looking positively green on her face, just like the others as every pony butt-cheeks in the room reflexively clenched in horror (the stallions present even more than the mares).
“You remember me an old kids show my daughter used to watch when she was five, they used to make reruns until your arrival, then we stopped airing it in fear of the thing looking ‘offensive’ towards you...But there were out there several adult men and women that loved that show a little TOO MUCH...the Purple Unicorn especially would have had a lot of suitors.” Paxton said greatly amused.
“M-M-ME?!” Twilight shrieked, thing mirrored by her brother Shining next to her.
“She looks pretty much identical to the main character, they would have lined-up in the hopes of...Well...Do THINGS to her...All day, every day.”
“Quit it! You are not here for this!” Celestia growled as Twilight was helped by the others as she kept puking into a bag a guard had been barely-fast enough to give her.
“Ooh-Ooooh! I know, trust me, I know why I am here for.” the human answered getting up making the guards circle him.
“Sit down!” a Unicorn ordered.
“How much do you REALLY know about humans, Celestia Du Sol?” Paxton asked.
“Du Sol?” Twilight asked confused.
“...How do you know that name?” Celestia asked with a low voice.
“We know it, just like we know that you may have missed some important details about us. Or you have just randomly chosen a world and decided to drop your people here and hope that Barrier would have done all the work?” the soldier answered walking closer to the glass until he stood with the tip of his nose almost touching it.
“Let him.” the Sun Alicorn said making the guards around him step back.
“Explain, Mister Paxton. What did I supposedly miss? Our coming here was an incident, an unforeseen quirk of fate. I had no way to ‘study’ your kind.” she then asked.
“Lies.” the human answered smiling.
“How dare you!” a guard said in indignation and easily ignored by the man.
“I am not lying.” Celestia said with a gentle smile and condescension literally palpable in her tone.
“Your left eye.” the other replied.
“My left eye?” the Alicorn parroted.
“When you lie the lower side of your left eye trembles a little, it’s very easy to miss so I had to get closer to better see it, I am no longer young after all.” Paxton answered smugly.
“So that is way you got closer, to better see me?”
“Not only for that to be honest...Do you know what a ‘Mentalist’ is, Celestia Du Sol?” the human asked.
“Do not use that name! And no, I do not know what that is.” the Sun Alicorn answered shaking her head although the still distraught Twilight lifted a hoof.
“They...They are humans trained to ‘read’ other humans expressions and body language,” she said still biting down the instinct of puking.
“Among other things. Once believed to posses psychic powers, those people are exceptionally adept at reading expressions, body language, gauge words of how they are said and when they are said...So we decided to put the best of the best of them in a room and have them watch every frame of every video where you talk, we made them listen every recording of you and your pals speaking either in front of a camera and when you thought nobody was listening. We were pretty maniacal to be honest, but we mapped you out.” the human answered.
“So?” Luna asked huffing.
“So we knew what to expect and planned accordingly,”
“You planned?! All your plans were about violence! It must have been HARD to come up with those plans!” Rarity yelled affronted.
“Huhuhuhu! Violence? Those little attacks? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” the human’s laugh echoed in the room chilling the blood in the ponies’ veins.
“That was nothing compared to what we can really do, Miss Belle.”
“How do you-”
“You are the ‘Element of Generosity’ Rarity Belle, big sister of Sweet Belle and owner of the Carousel Boutique...You like your Stallions rough...And yet subservient.” Paxton said with a twisted smile making Rarity shut-up immediately.
“We are very good at what we do.” he answered to the unspoken question of the Unicorn.
“I think you need a lesson on what Humanity really is! And I am here exactly for this reason and more.” the human soldier said once checked the time on the clock on the wall.
“Then teach us, the total conversion of Earth is almost done, but I am still curious...”
“Luna?!” Celestia said shocked.
“You are the last remaining soldier of the Humans against the Conversion...If you think you can teach us something we missed about Humans do so, will you try to convince us you are not violent barbarians?” Luna asked with narrowed eyes.
“No, that much is indeed true...In a sense.” Paxton answered conversationally as he paced around the room, each step closely watched by the guards around him.
“Your world is peaceful, yes? Nice weather...good food...little to no troubles...” he said smirking.
“We do have troubles, but we always resolved them by the power of Friendship.” Celestia answered.
“Tch! Friendship. We weren’t as lucky though, we are evolved apes as your more...’vocal’...members always say to insult us; we evolved from apes in a World that wanted us DEAD. We were the children our own Mother (Nature) didn’t want to have!” Paxton said sitting on the table to look at the Royal Sisters and the Elements with cold eyes.
“The children your Mother didn’t want?” Fluttershy asked shocked.
“Exactly! We were monkeys. Weak, pathetic monkeys spending their days hanging from trees throwing shit at each other and eating bugs, fruits and who knows what. We were not fast, not strong, we could not fly nor we possessed poison or stings or claws nor could we see in the dark and we had not senses sharp like the other predators. Mother Nature, OUR OWN MOTHER, wanted us to live and prosper as FOOD for her beloved animals...We were very close at being at the bottom of the food chain. You understand this, don’t you?”
“Y-Yes.” Fluttershy answered recoiling slightly from the human’s glare.
“So?” Luna prompted while the other Elements moved to shield their friend with their bodies.
“We were weak and happy about that, after all, Dear Mommy wanted us to be like that! And like good children we ‘obeyed’...Until our forefathers understood the injustice behind all this. Why us? Why we were only permitted to DIE to make everybody else happy?! WHY WE HAD TO BE FOOD!?” Paxton yelled kicking his chair against the wall breaking it, he then stood watching the pieces of wood for an instant with unfocused eyes.
“We had every right to live on this world, to be something more, but our Mother didn’t want us to excel, she wanted us to be food. And I am ready to bet we tried to grow stings, to learn to fly or grow claws just to be ‘like the others’ so that Mommy dearest could love us. When we failed though we took our own path and developed by ourselves something sharper than canines or claws, more dangerous than poison and more deadly and useful than flight...Wanna know what that was?” the Human said with a new smile, this one of pure malice.
“What was it? Lasers from the eyes?” Dash asked smirking.
“Intelligence.” Twilight said with a low voice.
“YES! We didn’t need to fly if our arrows and projectiles could reach OUR prey, we didn’t need to be strong if six of us could gang on our food and crack open their skull once our traps stopped them from escaping or attacking! Once done that we went from being the PREYS to being the PREDATORS. We used the pelts of our former Predators to cover us: both to fight the cold and to show Mother Nature we were not weak...We had finally learned our lesson.”
“Lesson?” AJ asked confused.
“We had no place on the Food Chain, we had no place on Earth beside as ‘FOOD’...So we decided to BEND the World to our will. We can’t be at the bottom if above us there is NOBODY ELSE!” Paxton answered walking again to stand at an inch of the reinforced glass.
“Nobody?” Celestia asked back in disdain.
“We became monsters, hunters! We killed every animal standing on our path that refused to respect us until several races went Extinct as a moniker for the others remaining. We made our own ‘claws’, we forged our ‘fangs’, we discovered fire to make the night ours, we trained the wolves to become our PETS and Companions instead of one of the predators wanting us dead. We EVOLVED! We made blood-lust our reason of being, killing became our talent…Death had just become our Cutie Mark.” the human said mockingly.
“Earth was now ours, WE were the dominant race and NOBODY could take us away from our throne at the TOP of the world...And yet our Mother didn’t want that and fought us herself...” he said chuckling again.
“She sent floods, and we created dams! She sent earthquakes, and we created houses able to withstand them all! She sent viruses and parasites, and we created cures! Our Mother didn’t want us? Then we decided to BEND HER OVER MAKING HER OUR OWN PROPERTY!” he screamed making the ponies jump back.
“And we did...Oh for fuck sake WE DID! She is still wearing the scars of our answers to her bullshits and she has now mostly stopped to fight back. We took everything she tried to deny us: her resources, her lands, her skies and her seas...We made her OURS. And once clear we had defeated even her, we returned to love her; we returned to love her battered, scarred body and we will be damned if a fucking horse will take away what we had to fight for MILLENNIUMS to have!” he said punching as hard as he could the glass breaking his hand to the point of bleeding, but actually making a small, tiny crack on the surface of the glass.
“Nopony is here to take away anything! We are just trying to help you! To save you!” Celestia roared in answer.
“You are so full of bullshit to believe your own hype. We KNOW what your Potion really does to whoever drinks it, it makes us TOO SIMILAR to you others, it erases TOO MUCH of us! The part of us that you find ‘barbaric’ and Violent is what makes us ‘Humans’! And you want to erase that part!”
“You think THAT is what makes you human? Then maybe you are just flawed animals, and we are the ones trying to fix you.” Luna answered making the Elements splutter in shock.
“And here comes your mistakes...You underestimated us.” Paxton said with his smile resurfacing once again.
“Underestimated you? I seem to recall more than half the planet being covered in the Barrier, as we speak it is actually nearing the coasts of this continent, I just made it slow-down so to speak with you personally, just like you asked so vehemently.” Celestia answered.
“And that was a mistake in itself, you saw our history, right? Did you study all the wars we went through? All the atrocities we did to ourselves?” the Human asked with a tone so calm to put even the Alicorn sisters on edge.
“Yes...All of them.” Celestia answered once looked at the nodding Twilight for a moment as her student had helped as well in revising Human history.
“But you never looked behind the scenes and after those were over, didn’t you? Not enough time! And not useful enough for your Anti-human Propaganda.” Paxton said looking at his bleeding hand in worrying detachment as if it wasn’t his to begin with.
“Get to the point.” Luna ordered annoyed.
“What your dear sister and her Student failed to take in consideration was that we had reached the point in which we had become TOO GOOD at killing each other; we had become Masters in torturing, mangling and destroying our fellow humans...So we decided to give wars some rules.” he answered proudly.
“You have given Rules to Wars?” Twilight asked confused.
“Yes. What weapons could be used, what tactics could be deployed, what to do with War Prisoners and how far we could go. All for the sake of maintaining some small trace of ‘Humanity’, that tiny spark of a soul that we believed was what separated us from real monsters and demons...Until you arrived, of course.” Paxton said smirking as he leaned his forehead against the mirror, right on the tiny crack his punch created.
“So?” Celestia asked while barely hiding the strange sense of dread mounting on the back of her head.
“We unanimously decided that those rules were not valid for HORSES, especially self-centered, pastel coloured ones coming to conquer our planet.” he said smirking.
“And?” Luna asked, now just as worried as her sister.
“And so we returned into being the monsters we were at the beginning when we had to fight for supremacy! We discovered to our glee that we never forgot how to be the Apex Predators we had become, and luckily for us you made other three mistakes after your first ones!” Paxton said slamming his forehead on the mirror drawing blood and enlarging of a small fraction the tiny crack.
“Stop it! it’s unsightly!” Luna said angrily and looking in disdain at the small trickle of blood running down the mirror from the man’s forehead glued to it.
“The first of those new mistakes was believing humanity resided only on Earth.” he said amused.
“Only on...What? WHAT?!” Celestia said in horror.
“We suspected that you were the one controlling the Barrier, you said your powers could influence it just enough to slow it down and give people enough time to be Converted. Your eye trembled when you said that and at the next interview we used specific questions so to have enough material for our Mentalists to work on to decipher you.” Paxton said chuckling and leaning, impossibly, even closer to the glass.
“We have moved to the stars years ago, we conquered our Moon and Mars and established there our first colonies, but those two were only our first steps towards the infinite void of the cosmos. We saw that we had grown too much for a single planet so we expanded out horizons; that and the ‘scars’ this world had were too deep for us to heal...Luckily for us though your Barrier is returning everything on the planet to the starting point! Imagine our joy! Pollution gone! Water clean and new forests! Mines returning to full capacity! All sparkling new for us to reclaim! The only surprise was watching so many of us turn on us to become ponies. But we accepted the sacrifice as we saved the rest of Humanity.”
“The rest?” Celestia asked moving closer to the mirror herself.
“Why do you think attacks stopped after the last train holding your precious Potion went in flames? We always destroyed every train, ship and convoy transporting it after all, we did it for months! For Years! But then we abruptly stopped...Do you wonder why?” he asked laughing again, a deranged laugh that struck Celestia to the core.
“Y-YOU HAVE A SAMPLE OF THE POTION!” she shrieked horrified.
“That we do, we just made you believe that since we could not cure the ‘Ponification’ we just tried to destroy as much Potion we could...In truth we knew that without a sample we could not even START working on a cure, so we waited...One of Humanity’s most fearsome trait is stubbornness! There are human hunters that once wounded a prey will simply follow the traces left behind by the beastie while walking leisurely, knowing that sooner or later the prey will bleed to death and that they will find it there waiting for them to collect it. So we kept destroying the convoys and the Potions while waiting for the right moment...And when we were certain you thought you figured us out, we attacked that last train and destroyed everything bar a single vial of Potion.” Paxton said.
“But-But the new-foals we asked didn’t know about that plan!” Luna said shocked.
“That’s because the 23rd company as a whole once delivered the vial had took their ordinance gun, moved that to their temple and pulled the trigger. THAT was the extent of our determination in defeating you ponies!” the human said simply, smiling at the various bouts of sickness of the ponies looking at him.
“The second mistake was believing we were not ready to do EVERYTHING in our power to win, so me and my men sacrificed ourselves to be captured so to delay you others, they didn’t know a thing because we suspected that once turned they could be asked to answer question and reveal our plans, that’s why I was the very last one to be captured as I was told all this so to tell you...And I asked you to meet me in person HERE to talk for that very same reason.”
“You wanted me to slow-down the barrier so to talk with you...Why?” Celestia asked in realization.
“Huhuhu! Ten minutes ago the last rocket left the atmosphere! The very LAST humans against your plan have just left this place. I am the last Human on Earth wishing to strangle the lot of you instead of turning into a horse!” he answered gleeful.
“HOW?! WHEN?!” Celestia yelled moving even closer to the glass just like Luna and the Elements did.
“Not all the rockets you ‘sensed’ being launched were weapons trying to destroy the barrier, we knew that no weapon short of the nuclear warheads could hope to dent it, and we needed your barrier to ‘Heal’ our world from the past abuse we inflicted on it so we refrained ourselves from breaking out the nukes. We may now have the means to harvest Earth’s resources without destroying our world, but we still need a healthy planet for us to live on all the same.” Paxton answered amused.
“But-but! They were EMPTY! ALL OF THEM HELD NO LIFE INSIDE!” Celestia said.
“Nope, there were people inside those small capsules disguised as missiles! You never bothered checking if the same number of missiles that went launched up in the sky would then came down exploding on the barrier. At each new launch two out of three missiles were filled by humans in a state as much close to death as we could manage so to send them to the extraction point on Mars for the others to collect them, we just made sure to shot as many as we could at the same time every day...It had not been cheap honestly, but we were motivated.” the human soldier said.
“So you made me slow-down the Barrier so that the last rocket could depart?” Celestia in barely-contained rage.
“From Africa, yes. The very last of the “USS Fuck you Ponies” Series. A very fitting name if I ever saw one.” he answered satisfied.
“But it would still mean we won, the barrier will soon cover the whole world and no human will remain on Earth!” Luna answered.
“Yes, it will cover the whole planet, but then your sister will drop it...I think the big brains back at the base said that Celestia will remove the barrier five minutes after the whole planet has been covered, am I right?” Paxton said smirking.
“R-Remove the Barrier?!” the Elements said in chorus.
“...How?” Celestia asked coldly.
“We ‘mapped you’. We tirelessly studied EVERYTHING we could put our hands on to understand how you work, We saw that the more the Barrier grew, the less you were seen around and we drew our conclusions. You are stretching yourself thin to maintain it and you can’t possibly hold it up forever to cover the whole planet. You will either die or be forced to do nothing BUT holding it up...And you want to enjoy your new planet and new subjects. So you will drop it once it has covered everything and you are sure no more humans have remained, were we right?” the human soldier said in a faint voice as the bleeding from both hand and head was making him dizzy.
“P-Princess?” Twilight asked in confusion.
“He is lying.” she answered simply.
“Huhuhuhu! We are preparing to take back our world, soon we will be on the attacking side instead of defending, the day after you drop the barrier we will swarm your homes like the locusts we have always been...My only regret is that I won’t be able to see my daughter grow, but at least she will have a new world to live in once we have done exterminating the pests that had come disturbing us.” Paxton said as his watch started chiming.
“Why you will never see your daughter again?” Fluttershy asked sadly.
“The last mistake your Princess did...I was the last one to be captured because I had to swallow several hard pills...I had to attract your attention and get you, your sister and the Elements here...I had to break my hand and almost give me a concussion to crack this glass and give you a run-down of human history to make sure the last rocket could depart and the mixture inside my stomach could come into effect…All to give you all what is Humanity’s last ‘FUCK YOU!’ before we go to war. Even if I know you will survive it.” Paxton answered weakly.
“What mistake did I do?” Celestia asked as the watch chiming stopped.
“You never developed a good way to see if the explosive could be INSIDE the enemy’s stomach instead of inside their clothes! CHECKMATE, YOU BITCH! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!” Paxton said laughing a last time.
“GUARDS!”
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
As soon as Celestia tried ordering an attack the human in front of her exploded in a blinding flare of fire and concussive force that destroyed the reinforced glass thanks to the tiny crack the man had opened at the cost of his hand and head that had weakened it just enough for the makeshift bomb inside his stomach to work.
“CELLY! CELLY!” Luna was heard scream through the dense smoke cloud filling the room.
“MY LEGS! OH MY GOD I CAN’T FEEL MY LEGS!” a guard was heard say in hysterics as he watched the bloody stump of his back legs.
“M-M-My wing! M-My wing!” Dash said in tears as her limp left wing failed to answer and kept pouring blood.
“Fluttershy! Fluttershy Wake up!” Rarity said weakly as she watched the wounded Pegasus slowly open one eye since the other was swollen on losing blood.
“Princess?” Twilight asked faintly as her brother helped her stand even if both were limping heavily, even if Shining Armour’s leg looked more like mangled hamburger meat and will hardly recover, contrary to Twilight’s own hoof.
All of the presents were covered in bruises and cuts from the glass shards and fragments of wall that rained on them, but the guards inside the detaining room had been reduced to a bloody pulp and smears on the walls and floor while Paxton had simply got vaporized.
Luna and Celestia were the ones less wounded because of their Alicorn bodies’ innate higher resistance, but even then, the shards had not showed mercy to them.
“...Humanity has spoken...We have to prepare for war. I will slow down the Barrier as much as I can as they won’t attack until the covering is complete. They are right, I can’t maintain it for long without dying if it covers the whole planet, Earth is way bigger than Equestria. I had not planned for this to happen.” Celestia said showing half her face being burned and bleeding heavily.
“You have not planned, that’s the problem!” Luna screamed in anger.
“L-Luna?”
“The Barrier was not necessary?! We could have dropped it any moment?! YOU SAID THE POTION WAS NECESSARY TO SURVIVE THE ‘UNSTOPPABLE’ BARRIER! LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!” the Moon Alicorn said.
“They attacked us!” Celestia answered.
“And what were they supposed to do?! I saw the new-foals, the Potion does change how they act as well! They are not just humans in pony body, they change mentally too!” her sister replied.
“I had too little time to tweak every detail!” the Sun Alicorn answered just as angry.
“Princess...” Twilight said with a low voice.
“I had no choice. We ended here and they were not open to change, I showed you their history: they are violent, war-mongering barbarians. Sooner or later they would have attacked us. I just wanted to smooth things out and the faulty Potion caused a rift.” the Sun Alicorn replied.
“Your rift gave us our worst enemy yet. You heard him, they used to have RULES about war, they had to give rules to it because they had become TOO GOOD at it. You managed to unite Humans under a single banner by giving them all a single enemy...US.” Luna said walking towards the wounded guards and lifting them up with her Magic.
“Come along, girls. Let’s have those wounds healed; I promise you you will be like new once done, especially you Miss Dash, you will be back flying in no time.” the Moon Alicorn answered as she and the Elements limped their way out of the room leaving Celestia alone.
“...You are in trouble, Celly.” A new voice said gravely.
“Will you help me, Discord?” Celestia asked as the multi-coloured dragon-like being exited from her shadow.
“No.” Discord answered shaking his head sadly.
“Why not?” the Alicorn asked in surprise.
“I am chaos, I am discord and all that...But I have my limits, Celestia. I draw the line at killing a whole race and yet you are ‘killing’ every Human you get your hooves on. The potion makes them Ponies, but also makes them loyal to you...TOO LOYAL to you. Even I never did that when I ruled Equestria.” the entity said with a serious tone Celestia didn’t know he was capable of.
“I am helping them...”
“Do not lie to me, Celestia. Even the humans could see through you, and I have known you since before you even came to be a Princess. You will never fix the Potion, you like the new-foals as they are. What will happen to the rest of Equestria you left behind?” Discord asked.
“They will reach us.”
“But only the Ponies.”
“...Yes.” she admitted looking down.
“Humans are like cockroaches, but contrary to those pests Humans NEVER admit defeat no matter what. They will come, Celestia. They will come and to their last breath they will do everything in their power to take back their world, they left you do as you please just because the Barrier healed every mess their predecessors did. And once their world will be pristine clean again...They will take it back.”
“They won’t.” Celestia said defiantly.
“They will. And I will be there watching, they promised me a place to do as I please in exchange of me keeping my Chaos confined there and not helping you.” Discord said nonplussed.
“And since when you are so helpful?”
“Ever since they promised me a whole planet, even more if I turn their gas giant Neptune into a livable place; they signed a pact: Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus will be mine to play with, as long as no Chaos of mine disrupt life on Earth and Mars and I do not take part to this battle between you two…And since they are sure you have a way back to Equestria, they promised to take the Elements and keep them hidden on Earth so that I will be free to rule our world as well. Even I had to accept those terms.” Discord answered.
“And you will respect them?” Celestia asked with a derisive snort.
“Actually, yes. Because THEIR Chaos spoke to me...” the entity answered with a distant look.
“Their Chaos...Spoke to you?” the Alicorn asked confused.
“They cannot see her, they cannot hear her, but she LOVES them all the same. If only you could see her, Celly...She is Beautiful...Their Chaos is simply so pretty to look at! If I respect my part of the deal I’ll be able to see her whenever I will feel like it! I’ll use Equestria to calm down my need of Chaos and then return here to gaze at her. For once I think even I can accept a deal without strings attached.” Discord answered while looking at ‘Something’ outside the window.
“They are chaotic beings, Discord!”
“And maybe that is why She loves them above all else.” the draconequus muttered in what the surprised Alicorn recognized as envy before leaving the Sun Princess alone.
“I am not giving back this world. Never.” Celestia said to herself before teleporting away.
Nobody noticed the small device hidden in that room that had survived the explosion, nor they ever will as the small thing self-destructed as soon as Celestia left.
At the same time – Underground ‘United Human Army’ HQ – Planet Mars -
“All capsules have landed, Sir! The last survivors are just now being carted to the Medical Bay as we speak!” a woman sitting behind a console said with a relived voice.
“Good job, Soldier! Keep me updated! What about Paxton?” the Man with the rank of ‘General’ asked to another man sitting on a similar console.
“Dead, Sir! The microphone just finished recording and send everything to us before self-destructing. Celestia received our message.” the young man replied.
“He and his men will be remembered for their sacrifice, have no fear, soldier. LISTEN UP! As per protocol we have twenty-four hours to create a back-up of everything here and abandon the base just in case those horses have a way to reach us here. The wounds we gave them with the bomb won’t last much with their Magic so we’ll have to be fast. Now Move!” the General said as immediately the base started buzzing with activities as computers went emptied of every data before being physically destroyed.
While all this happened the General left the room to go collect his own stuff.
“General!” a man in a lab coat said as soon as he crossed the man in the hallway.
“Yes, Doctor?”
“We will finish awakening all the survivors in ten hours, eleven at most. We already collected every piece of instrumentation we had and are almost ready to depart.”
“Good, it was a gambit using a lighter version of the coma for this last trip, but like this we’ll need half the time to make everybody able to travel towards the ship convoys.”
“Then I will tell my men to speed things up some more.” the doctor said rapidly leaving the General alone.
“Sir?” a new soldier said nearing the General.
“Talk fast, soldier. Time is not on our side.”
“We have got a message from the commander and the rest of the ‘Liberation Forces’, the Teams are almost ready.” the soldier answered.
“That is a very good news! Very well, anything else to add?” the man asked with a very pleased smile.
“Yes, Sir! Doctor Hayden says that he managed to talk with his old ‘Acquaintances’ from the Black Market into helping us free of charges for the time being...Several canisters of our new "Welcome to Hell" Gas are being prepared as we speak, along other up-until-now prohibited weapons. We have every available production unit working non-stop to furnish our men.” the younger man answered.
“Glad to hear that, Soldier! Now come with me, we will be in the first shuttle that will leave this base, it’s time for us to meet our colleagues. We are taking back Earth, whatever those ponies likes it or not.” the General answered in determination as he walked away followed by the lone soldier.
"Yessir!"
At the dawn of the next day a colossal explosion tore the underground base on Mars destroying everything so to not let the Equestrian have a shard of evidence about Humanity’s plans.
At the same time, Celestia had just talked the Elements into believing her good intentions and the innate ‘Evilness’ of humankind; starting by turning Discord back into being a statue just in case the creature could help the humans.
As the Alicorn relaxed at the prospect of the Elements still being on her side, she hastily started preparing for battle, knowing full well that she had at best two months before the Barrier finished covering everything forcing her to drop it.
“I need the darn thing to convert the whole planet or their pollution will make it unlivable for us, and I can’t maintain it going forever unless I sacrifice the Elements of Harmony to power it! Those monkeys have put me in a checkmate: I can’t drop the Barrier before everything is covered and I can’t maintain it without sacrificing our strongest weapon. Darn them for forcing me to clean their mess! This is our new world, MY new world...I am not giving it up!” Celestia muttered glaring at the sky.
“All because YOU refuse to obey and amplify my powers. Just like that darn Moon is refusing to do with Luna.” she then said glaring in hate at the sun shining on Earth refusing to bend to HER will like the one in Equestria.
The Humans were coming, all because they refused conversion and refused HER rule; if they wanted war then she will give them WAR!
As she thought this Humanity as a whole heard her unspoken words and licked their lips in hunger as they were more than eager to accept the challenge, life on Earth had been rather ‘dull’ lately without a proper enemy for them to break after all!
