Laments of the Poetess

Shall they ever learn, even as their eyes burn
That the hair is a veil over smiles gone stale?
Though she keeps all the tears out of sight from her peers
Still they fall, and they all are so blind to her fears
Shall they ever know of how their pegasus lied?
How can kindness be kind when she's dead deep inside?
The poetess writes on and on to stay true
And here are the verses of which they never knew.

Fluttershy is not the simple pony that she seems. Her life story was crafted with endless lies to fit social expectations, but what truly happened to her can be found via the poems she'd written as a sad, lost little filly, all those sorrowful years ago.
