All for show: Book 1: The Savior
Fresh out the oven of distruction!
Load Full StoryEverybody either had a schedule, or not. You might have a usual routine in the morning, or not.
Jacqueline Smith woke up early in the morning, at 5:00 am, got dressed and brushed her hair by 5:10 am, then ate her canned food – from the commissary and brushed her teeth by 5:25 am. Sometimes she would have a bath in the mornings, but that was only if she got up at 4:20 am.
Jack was an early bird. Nothing would change that.
This routine went on for ten years, ever since she was eleven. When you became eleven, you would be picked up, and sent to the “Symic” centre. It was where when a child of eleven would get a-
Well, let's just say an operation.
A painful one.
You would get a bit of your body taken out of you, and replaced with advanced technology. They would place a chip into it, and everything would just... Click into place.
A number would be printed onto your hand by one of the assistants who would help the Doctor. You would get a “Symic” - a hologram of a small person, who would help you through out the day in the “Rehab”.
The “Rehab” is sort of like school, only, you would not enjoy it. It was technically an army camp, trying to train new recruits for war.
That's right. They were at war.
And when someone says the enemies' race, you would be punished...
Jack wore her blue crumpled up dusty tracksuit, along with black shoes. You had to wear a tracksuit with your number stitched on the back. It was a rule. And god was there many.
Her blonde hair was tied in a quickly done pony tail, for you see, today was the first time she was late for her first “class.”
Ever since the war had started between the Pegasi and the Soul folk, complete chaos had erupted across the earth. Races were split apart. Family members soon turned on each other. Friends became enemies.
This system was messed up. But still, it kept all her loved ones alive.
Each race had an advantage. Pegasi could cast a pair of wings, with a click of a finger or some sort of 'button' they could summon wings – the colour of the wings were reflected on one's personality.
Soul Folk are able to learn spells and cast them. Each race thought it was an advantage, however if you know weaknesses to each spell – it was easy to defeat a Soul folk.
Earth Folk, as everyone named them, have amazing strength along with outstanding talents related to earth.
Either way, Jack was proud of who she was.
Shaking her head from left to right, she opened two iron doors. Both had the number “398”, painted hugely in yellow.
This was her Sector, 398 – it was filled with up to 600 people, maybe more. It was a huge iron made hall. This room was labelled, and identified as the “Main Hall”.
The Main Hall was where endless rows of doors were – leading to multiple rooms.
Jack hums, duffle bag in arm, walking down the hall way. It sure was good exercise, considering how many doors there were.
She came to a halt to one of the iron doors. It was sprayed paint multiple times, along with posters hanging off of it, cupcakes, sprinkles, and other things she really didn't know what they are. You couldn't really see the number – but, before it was destroy- I mean... re-decorated, it said “201”.
In the centre of the room, you could see a huge, what looked like a used-to-be lava lamp, but filled up with water – and in it lays fish, swimming happily with no care in the world.
Some posters of famous athletes or musicians covered some of it, along with pictures of different people.
Different parts of the big room had various “designs.” For example, one of them had a simple desk, with a bookshelf. If you moved the chair away from the desk, there would be a small bed – probably in case the owner of the 'section' was doing late work, and decided to stay the night in the Quadrant.
Each Quadrant had a minimum of thirty people and had a name, besides their number on their door. Well, most quadrants named theirs.
Thanks to one of her friends, everyone started giving their quadrant a name.
It started when a bubbly pink haired girl thought of that one word....
“Ponyville.”
