Caleb Stetson was an average man living in Chicago. Relatively fresh out of University, ready to enter the workforce and, hopefully, make something of his life. But after the unexpected death of his mom and getting stuck in a dead-end career for four years, Caleb's life is anything but an exciting fantasy.

But then, suddenly, a opportunity as unlikely as it is exciting arrives, seemingly promising to mercifully pull Caleb out of the horrific hole his life had become. But what happens to stop this?

The world of Equestria offers Caleb a fresh start among its strange, hooved citizens. He even has a Princess of Friendship assigned to guide him, which is sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing. But Caleb is stuck in Equestria, his exciting career opportunity on earth seemingly gone like dust.

Caleb doesn't even know whether he'd rather be in Equestria or on earth, given the choice. In fact, he's starting to not care. And not in a good way...

But the funny thing about life is that it can always make a turn for the better... or for the worse.
