//-------------------------------------------------------// The Life of Dawnen Dusk -by KeroseneAndFire- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Early Life //-------------------------------------------------------// Early Life Denver, Coltorado, home to the barrier that separates the vast planes to the east and the sky piercing mountains to the west. A young newly married couple settled here one day  A Pegasus stallion, Windy Flash, and a Unicorn mare, Diamond Spark moved to Denver due to Windy's job in the aircraft business. Although a Pegasus, Windy worked in the airline business. He was the maintenance manager for the main company in Denver and ended up being very busy most of the time. Diamond Spark originally was in the airline business as a flight attendant, thus how they met. Now that she was married, she took on her main talent of hair styling which she got from her mother. After living there for some time, they had a kid. An earth pony which they named Dawnen Dusk. It took them a while to come up with a good Equestrian name but they settled on Dawnen because the sun always shines from the time it is born at the beginning of the day, until it dies at the end of the day, only to promise for better opportunity and happiness tomorrow. Dawned was a light brown colt with his mane being made of three horizontal stripes of different shades of brown. His eyes where a dark brown as well. There is not much to say about Dawn's early life. It was like most colts' and fillies'. Although, when he was two, he lost his balance in the kitchen as cut his eyebrow open. Windy and Diamond rushed him to the hospital where he got five stitches and was given a scar that would last there for the rest of his life. Luckily, it was his eyebrow, so the eyebrow hair usually covers it up very well. Other than that he went to preschool and then to kindergarten then to first grade. When he was in first grade, an event which would change his life occurred. His mom had been thinking for a while and made a decision to divorce Windy. It did not effect Dawn that much, he was very young and was still his happy self. However, he did notice his dad getting emotional. His diet changed and he would see him a bit more quiet at times and saw him crying some moments, which would just bring Dawn down as well. Windy started to smoke more as well out of depression. Dawn learned latter that his dad was so in sorrow because he thought that his family was falling apart and that he lost all his savings. But that changed luckily. Diamond moved to the inner city where she liked it more. She joined a salon to make some money but it was not nearly as much as Windy. Dawnen stayed with his dad most of the time but did see his mom a lot as well. Dawn was halfway through second grade when his dad was able to get his things together. They moved closer to the city near a really good school district, best in the state in fact. Dawn had to leave his friends behind and move to a new school with new friends. It was tough at first but he made two new friends very quickly. He joined new activities suck as Tae Kwon Do and Colt Scouts. Dawn started to get into the more complex subject and he started to pick favorites. He loved math, science, and geography the most. He made it though Elementary school with his friends and finally made it to Middle School. He felt a little embarrassed, for he was one of a couple of other ponies without a cutie mark. He wasn't too paranoid about it but was still a little self-conscious. It is also here where he grew to hate the subject of English. He did not like reading or writing. He was still very intrigued by science and math and started to get into Geology. He also won the Geography Bee at his school. He made it through sixth grade with 4 A's and 2 B's, little did he know those were the last B's he'd get in his school career. He started to get into sports, mostly Equestrian Football, and supporting the local teams like the Broncos or the Rockies. Seventh grade was fun for Dawn. He got all A's this time and was very pleased with himself. The only bad thing that happened that year, was with his friend. One of his friends that he knew from when he moved here started to join other ponies and make new friends leaving Dawn and his one other friend in the dust. It was a friend lost and Dawn did not know how to take this. He moved on though and still had the one friend that he kept. At this point, Diamond Spark had found another stallion. His name was Electric Light and he was a Satellite TV salespony. They were happy together and soon moved in with each other. Electric became almost like a stepdad to Dawnen, even though they were not married. Windy was able to fix up his act. He completely stopped smoking and started to go to the gym daily. He met new mares but never got in a serious relationship again. Dawn was pleased along with his family. It was the start of eighth grade now. Dawn got his black belt in Tae Kwon Do and is advancing well in Colt Scouts. He was doing very well in school, much better than ever as well. It is also now that Dawnen finally get his cutie mark also. He was learning Physics in science class and was very interested. So much so that he went home and watched some videos on Physics. Then, he got his Cutie Mark. A plainly simple one of just and atom but it was still his cutie mark and he was happier than ever. He was the last second to last one to get his cutie mark in his grade but he now knew what he was going to do with his life. However, eighth grade was the start of Dawnen's separation with his only friend. He started to get to know his friend even more, however, it was not good. He learned that he wasn't a good student. He was lazy and did not reach expectations for his grade level. Dawnen tried his best to explain to his friend that he should do better in school. He even offered to help him study and such. However he did not change. Dawn stayed with him for the summer but was soon to let go of him. With that, he was off to High School.
