Once upon a time, in the exquisite town of PonyVille, we see the orange apple bucker, AppleJack, trotting on Celestia's dirt roads. AppleJack spots two of her best friends, Rarity and Princess Twilight Sparkle. They have just walked out of Sugar Cube Corner, laughing and talking in a whisper. Almost like they were in on a secret.
"...when she finds out, she won't know what hit her." Twilight laughed evilly.
"I know what you mean, darling. I'm glad we planned this out in private. If any one should hear us, they'll completely lose our trust!" Rarity replied.
"Oh look, it's AppleJack walking towards us!" Twilight said angrily. "We better start acting out our plan now. This will be perfect!"
AppleJack smiled and waved as she saw her "friends" trotting to her.
"Howdy sugarcubes! Had a nice lunch, I presume?" She asked.
"We certainly did, dear Applejack. It was simply devine." Rarity looks at Twilight, trying to suppress a giggle. This was too much for the marshmellow pony, she thought this plan of hers and Twilight's was absolutely intellectual.
Twilight got closer to AppleJack and whispered something in her ear.
"Rarity and I were thinking, because you've been such an amazing friend to us, we want to surprise you with an early birthday present."
"But my birthday ain't for another thr-" Rarity cut her off.
"You'll just love it! Just follow this map I made." She pointed to the red X on the paper. "This, this is where the present is. Oh, won't this be so fun?"
"This is mighty ki-" AppleJack hesitated. This sudden gesture was surprising. Why in Equestria would they be giving her a early birthday present, this early? It was odd. "...Um, mighty kind surprise for me, certainly cool...yeah."
"Darling, you seem scared. Is something bothering you, prehaps?" Rarity asked.
"No uh, I...I'm just happy is all." She put on a fake smile and hurried away. Rarity and Twilight shared devious glances and trotted away, very slowly.
AppleJack stared at this map. All it was was a staright path through... THE EVERFREE FOREST?
They can't be serious, She thought to herself, the Everfree Forest is a dangerous place to be in. Who knows what trouble is in there? Posion Joke, Cockatrices, Timberwolves!
The thought alone would make a little filly shiver, hoof to withers.
AppleJack stepped hoof into the Everfree Forest, slowly trotting up the trails until she heard a noise. A growl, to be exact.
"Uh, anypony out here?" She screamed, hoping it was just a fellow citizen. "Hmm, I guess there ain't none." Relieved, she trotted, humming a tune, closing her eyes...closing her eyes?!?
She bumped into, what she thought was a tree.
"Ow, that sure hurt. Ew, what's that." She felt a thick blob of goo drip on her head into her mane. What was it, the answer may frighten you. She looked up to see a huge rabid Timberwolf. She tried to gallop away, but the claws of the Timberwolf grabbed her backleg.
"Hey, let me go! HELP!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, hoping a bystander would hear her.
"None...want....can't." The Timberwolf was mumbling words she couldn't understand.
"What'cha say? Can't you understand me? Let me go I tell ya!" The more she struggled under the wolf's grasp, he would hold on tighter. Soon enough, the grasp of the Timberwolf tighten so much, it broke AppleJack's leg. She screamed in agony as the Timberwolf broke her other leg and dropped her to the ground. Trying to run away, she failed, as her bones were completely broken.
