The campers finally arrived outside, ready to train with a Co-Captain Thundershine. One by one, they lined up in a straight line in no particular order. The blue maned mare walked across every one of the campers, making sure each one of them was lined up in a straight line. She nodded in approval afterwards, seeing that all the campers were lined up straight.

"First, we're going to start with the basics. Flying. I'm going to see how well you can take off and land later on. For now, we're just going to practice. Those who are beginner flyers will come with me. And those who are already getting of hang is using their wings can practice on their own. Let's begin", Thundershine declared. She blew her whistle to start.

Everybody separated in order to practice. While the beginner flyers went with the Co-Captain. The campers, who were already getting the hang of using their wings, went to the other side of the field to practice. Rainbow Dash, Soarin, and Spitfire were youngsters who were very inexperienced flyers, so they decided to train with Thundershine.

The campers start murmuring. Thundershine notices and immediately takes action.

"Now fellow pegasai, can we minimize the murmuring? Those of you who decided to train with me will be learning how to flap their wings at the right pace while trying to take yourself off a slight inch off the cloud. This is your first warm up".

"One, flap your wings slowly. If you do it quickly, you will easily tire yourself out".

The other campers, except for Soarin, Spit and Dash, were able to fly just a slight inch from the ground. The other were able to flap their wings slowly, able to get themselves off the ground. While the three friends kept struggling, and struggling, till it was no use. Thundershine let out a silent groan of frustration and flew from her position on top of a white cumulus cloud to help the three. Soarin looked at her confused, as Spit and Dash did the same.

"Kid, your not doing it right", she said. "While the others are practicing on their own, let's go some place where I will be able to train you three privately." She carries the three friends onto her back, telling them to hold on.

With one mighty flap, Thunder took off while a black lightning cloud trail emitted from her tail and mane. Soarin, Spitfire, and Dash clutched the mare's next tight, clinging on for dear life. They flew just above the camp. Once they passed it, Thunder flew left, then straight. A minute passed, and Thunder landed on a large cloud. This cloud was the biggest out of all the rest of the clouds in the sky. T She folded her wings, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. Soarin, Spitfire, and Rainbow jumped from the mare's back and onto the soft cloud.

The Cloud Grove was Thundershine's private training area, the area was given to her as a gift by her mother and father. Ever since she could remember, she loved to practice her flying there all the time. By the time she made friends at Summer Flight Camp, she asked her parents if she could share the area with her friends. Seeing how their daughter had a pure heart, her parents approved right away. At Flight Camp one day, she told her friends about the training area her father had given to her as gift. Her friends were immediately excited when they heard the news. Thundershine began training their with her friends there ever since, sharing it with them meant a lot to the mare.

"Ms. Thundershine, where are we?" Rainbow asked.

"Rainbow Dash, we're in Cloud Grove. This is my private training area, my friends and I practice here for our relay races at the Wonderbolts Derby in Canterlot".

"Wow, that's so cool", Soarin said, as he made a cute fan face.

"Why did you take us here?" Spitfire asked, puzzled. The yellow pegasus raised a brow.

"I'll tell it you later kid. Right now, let's just focus on you three's flying skills".

Thundershine waves her hoof at Soarin. "Clipper, you first".

"Clipper?" the pale blue coat asked. His face was dazed.

"That's my nickname for ya kid, I'm calling ya Clipper because you're clumsy. Let's not get off topic, now show me what your wings are made of".

Soarin nods and starts flapping quickly to get himself off the cloud. On his first try, the colt is only slightly up in the air just for a second, but then he ends up falling back onto the soft cloud. The female wonderbolt looks at the colt worriedly, she offers her hoof to help Soarin up. "Are you okay?"

"Nope". Soarin's ears droop down. "I'm not a very experienced flyer, and I pretty much never used my wings at all. I only rode on my parent's back. I never really used my wings."

Thunder looks at the colt affectionately. She puts a pale blue wing around him. "I see. Thing is, I was in the same situation when I was your age. Back then, I wasn't a experienced flyer either. I was teased for being a really clumsy flyer. When I first started flapping these bad boys..". Thunder unfolds her wings to show Soarin. "I flapped them too quickly, just like you did kid. My parents told me I had stunted wings".

Spitfire and Rainbow Dash sit on their flanks to listen to Thunder and Soarin's conversation.

"What are stunted wings?"

"Soar, having stunted wings means that the nerves and muscles inside your wings don't start flexing at the pace it needs to go".

"So, you're saying I have stunted wings?"

"I'm afraid to say. But, yes". After hearing what the wonderbolt had just said, Soarin's eyes began to fill with tears. His ears were still drooping.

"Just by looking at the way you flap your wings, I can tell you haven't been using them for a long-". Thunder notices his eyes tear, which made her discontinue her sentence. She silently quiets herself, and wraps another wing around him, pulling him into a hug.

His two friends were still sitting on the cloud. They then see his eyes filled with tears. The get up from their seated position and go to comfort their friend, who was still in the wonderbolt's wing. Soarin tries to hide his tears by covering his eyes with his hooves. But, his body wouldn't let him. His two hooves ended up going down to his sides. As he was trying to mend his feelings, he feels two hooves wrap around him as well. He felt, a little relieved.

As Soarin's tears began to dry up, Thunder folds her wings back into their original position. She lets go of her embrace from the young colt, so does Spitfire and Rainbow.

"Soarin, you okay?" Rainbow asks worriedly.

"Yeah, thanks Dash". He nods.

"You can come to both me and Rainbow", the orange filly said in a compassionate tone.

Thunder motions her hoof to get the three youngsters' attention. "Alright you three, ready to see what you can do?" She opened her wings and leaned down, then flew up just above them.

"Yeah!", the three shouted in unison.

Thundershine smiled with glee. "Okay, that's the spirit young rookies. Who's up first to show that they can lift themselves off this cloud?"

Rainbow raises her hoof. "Ooh me."

"Okay Ms. Dash, show me what you got. "

Rainbow started to slowly flap her wings. As she slowly flapped her wings more, she began to feel herself slowly going higher. Thunder told her to flap her wings a little faster. The rainbow-maned filly did as she was told, and she flapped her wings a little faster. As she got the hang of it, she put her hoofs in front of her and flew straight towards the cloud ring. Rainbow focused her eyes on the cloud ring, turned herself right side up, and flew straight into the cloud hoop. Thundershine's mouth gawked in surprise.

"Wahoo!!" her two friends cheered from the cloud below.

Rainbow loved the adrenaline. The feeling of the wind in her mane. She liked it. Being the fast learner that she was, she decided to take on the real challenge; the Sonic Rainboom. As she was flying, she thought to herself. The Sonic Rainboom is just an old pony's tale. I won't be to pull off such a spectacular feat. But, my gut's telling me I gotta try. I'm not going to give up. She flew up, then falcon-dived as her wings had the sense to partially fold themselves. Around her, more pressure of air began to go on her. But, she didn't care. The air particles begin to clump together just beneath her hoof, more clumps of air particles went above her to form a sonic. A rainbow trail ignited from behind her as she flew down faster. Finally, a BOOM ignited from behind Rainbow. She did it! She did the Sonic Rainboom!

Her friends continued to cheer her from below, still leaving an awestruck wonderbolt enchanted.

Magical sparkles surrounded Rainbow Dash. As she saw the sparkles move around her, she closed her eyes letting it surrounded her. There, on her flank, appeared her cutie mark. A white cloud with a blue red lightning bolt.

Rainbow flew back down to the cloud feeling proud of herself. Her friends went over to her and gave her a big hug. She gratefully hugged them back.

Thunder looked at her. "Look at your flank Rainbow."

Rainbow looked at her flank. "Woo, I got my cutie mark!"

Soarin smiled. "We're proud of you."

Spitfire smiled too. "Congrats BFF".

Thunder just smiles, and looks down at the watch in her right hoof. It was already 11:00AM. "Do you three want to continue training or take a break?"

The three of them hear their stomachs rumble. "Can we continue later? I'm kinda hungry", they all said at the same time.

Thunder rolls her eyes. "Oh alright, I guess it wouldn't hurt to get a bite. Want to join my teammates and I at Pie in the Sky for lunch? Or do you wanna go back to the camp to eat lunch?

Soarin, Spit, and Dash's ears perk.

"Pie in the Sky Cafe!" the three shouted at the same time.

"Okay, we'll continue flight training later. Soarin and Spitfire are next though".

Rainbow Dash decides to fly by herself while Soarin and Spit hop onto Thundershine's back. Together, the 4 ponies flew from the Cloud Grove and into the skies to Cloudsdale Plaza.

Hear is the 2nd chapter of A Dream Come True like I promised. The next release of the chapter will be decided. I have a final coming up, so I won't be able to update this week though. Chapter 3 will continue with Training With A Wonderbolt and a casual lunch at Pie In the Sky cafe. Thunder's teammates will be featured in the next chapter, so stay tuned.
