Pushing Too Hardby Yorkie PieChaptersHard Day of TrainingWatching Her Every MoveTalking With SpitfireSupport From The CloudsIf You Think You Can Do It...Stay With HerYou Do?Hey! Guess What!?Hard Day of TrainingIt was a nice sunny day, a good morning for flying and the entire Wonderbolt team was assembled and ready for training day. "Okay everypony," Spitfire started. "I don't want any slacking off today, yesterday felt pretty slow to me and I don't want another day like that! I want working ponies! Hard working ponies who want to be the best of the best, the fastest of the fastest and the strongest of them all!" Spitfire trotted slowly back and forth eyeing everypony with her strong glare. "So, to start of today, I want everypony to do 100 laps around with no stopping, alright!?" Spitfire said loudly. "Yes Ma'am!" they all said in unison. Each of them looked at each other as if they were challenging each other, with smirks on their face and looks of determination in their smiles. "Go!" she blew her whistle and they were off, treading around every corner and avoiding each other while avoiding the clouds. The wind was pretty strong and Rainbow Dash was aware of this. She fought against the wind and flapped her wings as hard as she could. She passed all of the Wonderbolts and smirked when she realized it. After the 100 laps, everypony landed, without looking tired or irritated, even though inside they were. Spitfire nodded in approval. "Mmkay, start your training now, like I said, I want hard working ponies and if I find you slacking off there will be consequences. Got it?" "Yes Ma'am!" It was a long hard day of training for Rainbow Dash and the crew. It was the same as any other day it just, Rainbow Dash wasn't feeling herself that day. She didn't feel bad but she didn't feel good. She woke up that morning not wanting to eat anything and just wanting her bath time to be longer. But she still managed to get to practice. As she trained she found times that she would talk to Soarin. It was evening and time to go rest and today was a day that she had a long, interesting conversation with him. "Hey Soarin." said Rainbow with an awkward smile on her face. Soarin looked at her with a slight smile. Rainbow Dash knew he was a hard worker, especially since he was a really really fast flyer, but not as fast as Rainbow. "Hey Dash, how ya doing?" "Eh, I'm okay. It's getting pretty late and I think I'm gonna head on in. Are you going in early?" Soarin though for a moment. She might be going in early, so maybe I should! "Yeah, I'm going in early. I'm *yawn* a little plum tuckered out as your friend Applejack would say." Soarin said with a smirk. Rainbow chuckled. "Well, come on. Let's go before Spitfire yells at us for 'flirting' Ha!" Rainbow said as she laughed. Soarin laughed along with her. Rainbow Dash thought of Soarin as a really good friend. She could trust him with many many secrets and he was just as fast as she was. But Soarin thought of her a different way, somepony much closer. They both parted ways and walked into their locker rooms, hung up their suits and wiped themselves down with towels. Just when Rainbow Dash least expected it, she felt a wave of heat overcome her and a slight nauseous feeling but she didn't puke, she just felt a terrible pain in her stomach, at least she thought it was her stomach. Soarin on the other hand, thought about Rainbow and felt a wave of heat overcome him and it made him feel good, very good. But then he snapped out of it. Quick. "Ugh, what is this?" Rainbow Dash asked herself. "No matter, it's probably nothing. I gotta stay strong, we have a performance tomorrow!" She continued to repeat to herself: Stay Strong, Stay Strong. and it seemed to work. Later, Rainbow and Soarin met in the hallways and told each other goodnight before hitting the hay. But when morning came, things took a turn for the worse. Soarin woke up with a large yawn and then a big hop out of this bed. He went to go to the bathroom to comb his mane when he heard the most peculiar noise come from the mare bathroom. It sounded weird to him but it did sound familiar to him. It sounded like: "Blalalalarbrbrbrbaahahah!" Or something like that. "Hm?" Who could be making a weird noise like that? He asked himself. He took a few steps closer and pressed his ear on the door. Then there was a sound of the toilet flushing and the sink running. Soarin removed his ear from the door and sat outside of the bathroom doors and saw that Rainbow Dash was the one that came out of the bathroom. Rainbow Dash jumped backward when she saw Soarin. She looked like she had just drained herself of energy. Either that, or mornings weren't perfect for her. "Um, Hey! Good morning!" said Rainbow nervously. "What just happened in there?" "Oh nothing. I was just brushing my teeth, heh. Don't wanna, you know, be talking to ponies and... you know." "You brush your teeth like that? You were making an awful lot of noise in there... are you sure you're okay or is something wrong or..." "There's nothing wrong Soarin! I'm fine!" then Rainbow Dash trotted by and didn't say another word. Ponies don't brush their teeth like that. At least not sounding like that. I don't think Rainbow was just brushing her teeth, I think more things happened in there. Soarin thought. When it came to Rainbow Dash, Soarin wanted to make sure she was okay. There was no way Rainbow Dash was getting by Soarin without him noticing something about her. So Soarin decided to watch her behavior that day, no matter if it was weird or not. Watching Her Every MoveAuthor's Note Meyeyeemememememememememem! I think I'm rushing this story, but I don't know. Someone said my writing was a little poor, so I tried to better it! But keep sending suggestions and comments! I could always use a little push! I'm so much better at comedy, this is my first not comedy story. I need hilarity! Watching Her Every Move It wasn't long before everypony was outside training again but Soarin was the last to come out. His mind was filled with one too many thoughts and he wasn't able to make his body move. First off, he was exhausted. The morning that he woke up and heard Rainbow Dash 'brushing her teeth' was not a good morning. There have been days where he has been tired and there have been days where he was super tired. He forced himself to put on his suit and move out the door, no matter how much his body was telling him no. His mind, though, his mind was telling him that he needed to move forward and do his best that day, he needed to be there for the performance and for Dash. With both on his mind, he was able to move faster and forget about his tiredness. When he walked out, he could feel the sun hit his face. It felt good. He felt as if a bit of energy crept into him. Flapping his wings to get them to adjusted to just waking up, he noticed the hard working ponies. That was when he saw Rainbow Dash, flying as fast as she possibly could, doing flips through the sky and tricks in the air. She seemed to stop and catch glimpse of Soarin and she flew down to his side. "Hey Soarin. Come on, it's time to practice." she said in a friendly way. She seemed to have either ignored or forgotten the fact that she sort have snapped at Soarin that morning, but that didn't matter to Soarin or Rainbow. Right now, focus was on flight and how they were going to use their flight to entertain. The Wonderbolts have been practicing their routine. It was quite difficult but it was nothing to stress over. The Wonderbolts each took their place at the beginning of the routine. They each had firm forearms and muscles, feeling adrenaline and gaining energy from excitement... and the sun. Then 3...2...1 and, THEY WERE OFF! Each of them flew in sinc, out into the sky, not aware of Spitfire below them watching them at the corner of her eye with a smile of pride. They flew by each other, flipping over one another and soaring with such coordination. But sompony was a little off and to surprise, it was Soarin. He was way to busy watching Rainbow Dash, terrified that she might fall over or something. He watched her EVERY MOVE and that's the only thing he was distracted by. Beneath them, two new ponies appeared, eager and impatient to take a sneak peak at what the Wonderbolts were doing. It was Fluttershy and Scootaloo. Fluttershy decided to take Scootaloo to go see Rainbow Dash as she was getting ready. "Ooo! I can't wait to see what the Wonderbolts came up with!!!" Scootaloo said excitedly. Fluttershy nodded and smiled. "I know," Fluttershy said to Scootaloo. "I heard they all came up with the choreography by themselves. They must be having a lot of fun." she looked up at the Wonderbolts practicing. Scootloo couldn't hold in her excitement. "GO RAINBOW DASH!" Rainbow Dash looked down at her small friend and smiled. Scootaloo returned the smile and winked. "Hey!" Scootaloo and Fluttershy looked over and saw Spitfire. "You guys enjoying the view?" Spitfire asked. Scootaloo nodded vigorously with a big smile of excitement on her face. Spitfire chuckled. "They've been working hard." "I can see that." said Fluttershy. "I'm pretty sure they've been through a lot these pass few weeks." "Wait." Scootaloo butted in. "Isn't it just a regular performance?" Spirtfire stepped toward her. "Yeah, but they came up with ALL of it and it's good for them to prove to me and mostly themselves how independent they are, but it's also to test how creative they can be. See being creative is something that should be included in doing work and it tests their minds a little bit. The fact that they actually went through with it and made progress with each other, make's me proud to be their coach." "How's Rainbow doing?" Scootaloo asked. "Oh, she's doing great. You'd be proud of her." Fluttershy continued to observe Rainbow and her crew of fantastic flyers. Rainbow is a natural at what she does! Fluttershy thought. But her thoughts went into worry when she Rainbow Dash teeter a little while in mid-flight. Soarin noticed this too and didn't take his eyes off of her, which lead him to bump into another pony. This caused each of the ponies to react because after Soarin bumped into another pony, they all ended up in a lined of pilled up ponies while in the air but they ended up crashing to the ground with a loud thump. "Oh no!" Scootaloo and Fluttershy said in worry, then they ran over to the pile of ponies. Spitfire joined too. Fluttershy flew over them to check for injuries. "Oh my goodness, is everypony okay?" There were moans and groans heard but they all responded positively. Scootaloo and Fluttershy helped them get off of each other. "How did that happen, that never happens!" Rainbow Dash said. Soarin chuckled nervously. "Soarin?" Rainbow Dash asked suspiciously. Soarin just looked at the ground. He sighed, shook his head and spoke. "Fine, I wasn't looking where I was supposed to." "Where were you looking then?" Scootaloo asked. "I was looking at Rainbow Dash." he said with a slight sigh at the end of his sentence. "Oooo." Scootaloo said until a pony gently elbowed her. "Continue." Soarin turned to Rainbow Dash. "Listen, Rainbow Dash. I'm really worried about you." "Why?" "What ever that was this morning, scared me. I wasn't sure what to do and it seemed like you didn't want to be bothered afterward, sooo... for the entire morning I've been watching you to make sure nothing happened to you." he hung his head down. Rainbow blushed. "Look, Soarin... I told you I was OK. Why... why didn't you believe me?" she slightly raised her voice. If Rainbow Dash was being honest, she would say she was lying to herself. "I'm not saying I didn't trust you, I just took extra precautions, that's- that's all... really." She did seem a little off though. Fluttershy thought. There was silence before anything else was said. Then Rainbow spoke. "Soarin, you don't have to worry about me so much... okay, I- I admit it! I threw up this morning..." Soarin looked up at her with a weird expression. The ponies had no idea what happened that morning between Rainbow and Soarin but they proceeded to listen. Rainbow continued. "But... it's nothing to worry about. It was probably just something I ate. I- I feel... fine now. I feel fine." Rainbow lied. "Are you sure Dash?" Spitfire jumped in. "Because we can call this thing off if you truly need rest." "I'm alright." Rainbow said firmly. "Hm, okay then. Everypony, let's just take a moment to get ourselves together and then get back to work." "Yes Ma'am!" then everypony flew off. "Except you, Dash! Stay here." Spitfire caught her before she flew off. Rainbow Dash shot her a confused, puzzled look. Spitfire just gazed at her and then motioned Fluttershy and Scootaloo to go on somewhere else. Spitfire and Rainbow Dash walked into the building and closed the door behind them. Rainbow Dash was nervous. Ugh, Rainbow. What's gonna happen now? she thought. Talking With SpitfirePain. That's all Rainbow felt, was pain and it didn't feel good. Both mentally and physically... but she didn't show it. Why did Spitfire call her in? What was going to happen? There wasn't any time for this, there was a performance to... well... perform. Spitfire sat at her desk and then gestured for Rainbow to take a seat facing toward her. Rainbow sat down and for about 5 long seconds, they stared at each other. "Rainbow Dash, can you tell me what happened this morning?" Spitfire said in a serious tone but with a concerned face. "With all due respect, ma'am, I don't know why everypony is acting like this is such a big deal-" "It is a big deal Dash!" Spitfire interrupted. Rainbow jumped back. She started to think that she shouldn't have said something like that to Spitfire, or worse, her "boss". Spitfire continued. "Dash, it- it really is a big deal." she became more and more concerned as she spoke. "I want my flyers to be in good shape and to be healthy all the time. I can't have a sick flyer here and what's even worse... is she's making herself sicker." "I said I was alright. I'm fine." "Are you?" Spitfire dug deep into Rainbow Dash. She knew SO much better, she knew when Rainbow Dash was lying, she knew when all of her flyers were lying and she absolutely wasn't born yesterday. She eyed Rainbow, her goal was to make her tell the truth because that's all Spitfire wanted. But that's not what she was getting. "Dash, tell me. Are you 'fine'?" Spitfire asked once more, firmly. Rainbow Dash hesitated. Spitfire sighed, and as soon as she did, Rainbow jumped up and yelled. "Okay! Spitfire, I'm- I'm n-n not... fine." Spitfire smiled. "That's all I needed to hear." Rainbow Dash cocked her head. Spitfire looked into Rainbow Dash's eyes. "Look, all I want is for you all to trust me and come to me with your problems, as long as you're not being wussy." Spitfire chuckled. "-And that's why I was-" "Dash, you're not being wussy, this is your health we are talking about." Spitfire continued. "Dash," she sharpened her look and focused her eyes on Rainbow Dash once again. "This is nothing to mess with. You threw up about 2 hours ago I recall? That's not good and nopony knows what's wrong with you, not even you." "I don't think it's anything serious." "Are you in pain now?" Rainbow Dash remembered what Spitfire said about telling her the truth, so she limited her hesitation and just told her. "Yes." "Then, here's what we are going to do... you... are not going to the performance, you are going to rest." "But Spitfire! I've worked so hard for this performance and it'll mess up the work we've done if I'm not there! What if I get better before the performance? There has to be something I can do!" Spitfire got up out of her seat and went to a small cabinet next to the desk, got something out of it, sat back down and placed it on the desk in front of Rainbow Dash. It was a thermometer. "Put it in your mouth and we'll see what your temp is, if it's over 100, you can't go. I want you to keep checking it... if it gets over 100 you need... to... tell...me." "Okay." Rainbow Dash placed the thermometer in her mouth and when it beeped she took it out and it read 99.7. Low Fever. "Dash, I love how determined you are and I love how much you push yourself but I don't want you pushing yourself too hard alright?" "Alright." "Now go back to training and remember what I said." "Yes ma'am!" then she flew off. Author's Note Yep! Short chapter! But don't worry the next one is long and very touching I promise you! Support From The CloudsSpitfire said what she had to say. She said every word clearly and Rainbow Dash listened to her. She said get back to training and if the temp reaches 100, to tell her but... something inside her was telling her something else. Fluttershy had stood outside of Spitfire's door awaiting Rainbow Dash. When Rainbow saw her, she jumped. "Ah! Fluttershy, I thought you were outside." "No, I let Scootaloo be when she got to speak with all of the other Wonderbolts." Scootaloo doesn't just have one idol. Fluttershy walked and Rainbow followed. "Rainbow, I wanted to ask... do you think you can do this performance?" Rainbow Dash stopped dead in her tracks. Her mind started boggling around in her head when Fluttershy asked that question. Fluttershy repeated Rainbow Dash's name. Rainbow didn't hear, it was muffled. She looked at the ground, scrunching her face in pain and she felt a sharp pain guide through her as if sompony drove a knife through her. What is this? she thought. Why won't it stop? Why CAN'T it stop? "Rainbow? Are you okay?" Rainbow Dash was silent and still for a moment, then nodded and she looked up at Fluttershy. "Fluttershy... I REALLY want to do this performance. But... Fluttershy... I don't know what's wrong with me." "Maybe you should see a doctor." "No, no doctor." "But Rainbow Dash... if nopony, not even you, knows what's wrong... then you should get somepony who knows how to help. I think it's best for you, especially if you want to feel better faster so then you can do what you want to do." "*inhale* No... no... no Fluttershy, I don't need a doctor. I can do this on my own. I'm strong and I can definitely... fly through pain." Rainbow Dash said in between breaths. Her pains were becoming worse and worse by the minute. She tried her best not to show it on her face. Stay Strong, Stay Strong How can I stay strong if I feel as if I'm about to cry any minute? No... where did that come from? Why are you thinking like this Rainbow Dash. Stop it! "Rainbow. I think you should rest. Just for a little then you can get back to training! I can take care of you." Fluttershy noticed that Rainbow Dash wasn't looking too good. As close as a friend Fluttershy was to Rainbow, it was hard for them NOT to know when each other were sad, happy, in pain. Rainbow Dash tried to keep her feelings buried inside but she wasn't fooling Fluttershy. "Come on, Rainbow. Please? Just rest for a little." Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy, looked into her eyes and saw that Fluttershy was worried. If she said no, Fluttershy would worry even more, which is something Rainbow didn't want. She didn't want to worry about her friend being worried. "Okay, I'll rest for a little." Rainbow Dash gave in. Fluttershy offered to take Rainbow Dash back to her cottage and Rainbow told her that was alright with her, so off they went. Rainbow Dash took off her suit and left the academy. Once they reached the cottage, Rainbow Dash just crashed on Fluttershy's couch. Fluttershy smiled. "Oh! Fluttershy, do you have a thermometer?" "Yes, I do. I'll go get it for you." Fluttershy returned with the thermometer and gave it to Rainbow who took it quickly and put it in her mouth. To Rainbow's surprise. It reached 100. 100.4 to be precise. Rainbow Dash sighed. "No..." "What's wrong Rainbow?" Rainbow turned to Fluttershy with a look on her face that was heart wrenching, she also looked as if she was losing her blue coloring, her face was starting to turn pale. "Every thing's wrong! Just everything!" Rainbow Dash stuffed her face into a pillow. "Rainbow tell me what's wrong." "Look at this." Rainbow Dash said while holding up the thermometer with her face still in the pillow. Fluttershy took the thermometer. "100.4. Rainbow, that's pretty high." "I know." she picked her head up. "I can't do the performance now. I can't do it. Spitfire said if it reached 100 or higher, I couldn't do the performance. THe performance I worked SO hard on with everypony else. The performance that we were all looking forward to doing together. And now... I can't do it... because. I'm. SICK!" she leaned on her forearm on the side of the couch, fighting back tears. She didn't want to come off as a whiney pony, she thought not everypony would understand how passionate she really was towards flying, except for... her friends. Her friends... like Fluttershy, Scootaloo and... Soarin. The ponies closest to her. She needed support and she needed it now. "Fluttershy?" Fluttershy sat on the couch next to Rainbow Dash. "Yes, Rainbow?" "Can you... for me... get Scootaloo and Soarin?" "Um... Scootaloo had to go home early, she had... plans! Great plans! *ahem* But, I can get Soarin for you." Fluttershy ventured off into the clouds and arrived at the academy. She searched up and down, looking around for Soarin, when she suddenly found him under a tree, talking to another trainee. "Soarin!" Soarin looked over and smiled at Fluttershy. "Oh hey, Fluttershy! What's up?" "Rainbow Dash needs you. She wants to talk to you." "Where is she?" "At my cottage, follow me." Fluttershy gestured to Soarin and Soarin understood then followed her to the cottage. They walked inside the cottage and saw Rainbow Dash. She had her head in her arms but was sitting up on the couch, leaning on the top of it. "Rainbow Dash?" Soarin asked as her walked in with Fluttershy. "I leave you two alone." Fluttershy whispered. Then she left and wondered to a different part of the cottage. Rainbow Dash propped her head up, her eyes were bloodshot red and her color was still pale. She was getting worse by the minute. "Hey Soarin." Rainbow Dash said in a sad tone. Oh Celestia, she looks terrible.Soarin thought. But the reality was, Rainbow Dash looked worse from being upset than being sick. "Hey Rainbow Dash." Soarin replied as he got a little closer to her. "How are you feeling?" She placed her head on a pillow and faced away from Soarin. "Terrible." This can't be. I didn't think she'd get this sick. The performance is tonight, what are we going to do without Rainbow? What-what are we going to do with Rainbow? She looks so miserable. Soarin felt that rush of heat overcome him once again as he stepped closer to Rainbow Dash. He sat on the couch with her. "Do you think you'll be able to do the performance?" Soarin cringed. He knew that was a dumb question. But Rainbow didn't react because it was dumb, she reacted because she still had her heart set on performing. She had visions of it. It may have been just a performance but it was important to her because she did it with her Wonderbolt friends. Forever, she had her heart set on being a Wonderbolt. She finally becomes one but can't contribute to EVERYTHING like she wanted to. There was so much on her mind, so so much. How will they function without her , what will they do to fix it, when will she get better? These things went through her mind, sending her on an emotional roller coaster. It added on to her nausea, but she didn't throw up. She just... Cried. The rough and tough pony, crying because of a performance? She had to and guess who was there to help her through it all. Soarin. He was there comforting her when she buried her face in his chest. Rainbow Dash didn't notice what she was doing but Soarin felt warm. Warmth from her fever and warmth from... loving her. He put his arm around her and she continued to cry, she didn't cry loudly, she just silently weeped with occasional sniffs and shuddering breaths. She was in a moment of emotion and she didn't notice anything around her until she slightly calmed down. That's when she noticed who was holding her. She looked up at Soarin while still laying on his chest. She saw how... happy he looked. Soarin smiled. Rainbow smiled. And soon enough, Rainbow felt better, much better. Author's Note No rushing, and it all came from the heart. Yorkie Pie and her corny romantic writing mdkeqnbregrenskejgpl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey! Where are YOU going!? It's not over yet! This is waaaayy too mushy and romantic! And I thought you make happy stories! I do! I just wanted to try something! Jeez Rainbow! Let me live, child! This isn't even the best part! If You Think You Can Do It..."She's asleep." Soarin said to himself, looking at how peaceful Rainbow was. She fell asleep about an hour ago and it was almost 1:00, two hours until the performance. She looks so cute, uh... I mean... well, she can't hear me say it. Soarin thought. After making sure that Rainbow had everything she needed, he heard hoofsteps come into the room. Fluttershy walked up next to Soarin and looked at Rainbow Dash with him. "Aw, she looks so calm now. I didn't know what to do when she started getting upset because she wanted you." Fluttershy looked at Soarin and Soarin looked back with awe on his face. "She wanted... me?" Fluttershy nodded. "Why so surprised?" Soarin sat down on the other couch that Fluttershy had in that room so that he wouldn't wake Rainbow Dash. "It's just... I didn't think she thought much of me. I thought she was thinking of me as just that 'side friend' when I thought of her as so much more." "What do you mean?" "Rainbow Dash is so inspiring." Soarin said softly. "She's inspired me to carry on everyday, to get back up after being pushed down. Without her, I wouldn't still be a Wonderbolt." "Hm." "I know... I know I as a Wonderbolt before she was, but... as a Wonderbolt, I've been through soooo much and have been thinking about quitting but when Rainbow came... it's like I have another reason to keep going. I- I know this may sound crazy to you and-" "Oh no! No it doesn't... not at all." Fluttershy said with the sweetest smile on her face. "I think it's great that you love Rainbow, but have you told her?" Soarin hesitated. Fluttershy let the silence carry on so that Soarin could gather his thoughts. "I haven't really told her but I feel like she's noticed it." "Why do you say that?" Soarin thought back to what Rainbow Dash said yesterday. "Well, come on. Let's go before Spitfire yells at us for 'flirting' Ha!" "Oh," Fluttershy said. "Rainbow Dash has never given up. She's so passionate about what she does. It's truly inspiring and it keeps me going. She's also so nice to other ponies, like her fans... me... she took Scootloo under her wing for goodness sake! It's like she believed in everypony, it's like she trusted everypony. I've never met a pony like her." Rainbow Dash moaned in her sleep and she moved slightly. Fluttershy and Soarin turned when they heard her. Fluttershy walked towards Soarin. "I think you should tell her. All that you have told me, it seems like you really love her. So... just tell her how you feel." Soarin hung his head low, he didn't know how to tell Rainbow Dash. What if she didn't feel the same way? What if she will never feel the same way? "You might as well wake her up now though..." said Fluttershy. Soarin nodded and got up. He walked over to Rainbow, stuck out his hoof, awkwardly trying to reach out and tap her. Then he tapped her and she opened her eyes. "Hm? *yawn* What's going on?" "Hey Rainbow. How are you feeling?" Fluttershy asked. "I feel a little better." she said to Fluttershy. She turned her head to Soarin. Soarin blushed, he blushed a lot. Fluttershy gestured him over telling him 'go on, don't be scared'. Soarin sat on the couch with Rainbow Dash. He took in a few silent breaths, then took a big audible breath and exhaled. "Rainbow... Dash?" "Yeah?" Soarin started to shake. His hooves became sweaty and his eyes darted off to Fluttershy's direction. Then he turned back to Rainbow and saw her beautiful, shining Red eyes, she had a friendly and adorable smile and a look of listening on her face. "Uh... Rainbow..." "You alright, Soarin?" Rainbow asked, slightly worried. "Yeah! Yeah! I'm- I'm all good, I'm fine. I was just wondering..." Soarin breathed in. "Iwasjustwonderingifyouwantedtotrytodotheperformance?" "Huh?" "I was wondering if you wanted to try to do the performance." "You know what Soarin... I think I can." Fluttershy held her head down, disappointed. Soarin looked to Fluttershy and nervously smiled, then back at Rainbow. She smiled at him and got up. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's get ready." Rainbow still didn't seems or sound like herself but she thought she would be okay. "I'm glad you're okay, Rainbow." Said Fluttershy. "Are you feeling any pain at all though?" "Uh, not right now. I feel a little nauseous but I can fly through that! Don't worry Fluttershy, I'll be alright!" "Are you sure, Rainbow?" Soarin asked. "Yeah. Its just a five minute performance." "But Rainbow... You'll be there for about an hour, greeting fans, practicing and stuff like that... if you don't feel up to it-" "I'm. Fiiine. Come on let's go." Rainbow Dash trotted out of the door and Fluttershy and Soarin followed after her. Then they flew up to the academy and got there right on time. Spitfire caught them back up. She stopped them. Rainbow Dash got nevervous but Spitfire greeted them in a nice way. "Hey Rainbow looks like your better. Are you?" Rainbow chuckled nervously. "Heh, yeah I'm fine." Spitfire nodded. "Soarin where have you been?" "With Rainbow and Fluttershy." "Mmkay. Well both of you go get ready. Meet me out here afterwards." Soarin and Rainbow Dash walked in and got ready. Fluttershy walked to the stands and sat where Scootaloo was waving her over. "Hey Fluttershy!" "Hey Scootaloo!" Fluttershy sat next to a very excited Scootaloo and they awaited for the performance. Scootaloo knew Rainbow worked hard on the performance with her other partners. It was 3:50. Ten minutes till the performance. In the separate bathrooms, Rainbow Dash and Soarin where doing something to get themselves pumped up and to atop themselves from getting nervous. They told their reflections:Stay Strong, Stay Strong. something that Rainbow Dash said often, Soarin decided to do the same thing and it helped. Once they were done they smiled and back away from their reflections. But that's when things got bad. Rainbow Dash had that nauseous feeling come back to her again, but this one felt powerful. She felt it creep up but she tried to keep it down. "No! Rainbow Dash... you can't let this happen, once you start, you won't stop. That's how you are with everything." Rainbow Dash fought herself to keep it down but that's when a stricking pain struck her and struck her HARD. She couldn't do it. Outside of the bathroom, Soarin heard the noise once more. He had a faint image if Deja Vu, that's when he got nervous. "Rainbow Dash?" Then there was the noise again, but louder. Soarin got really worried this time and he took a risk to go into the mares bathroom. He opened the door. He didn't see anypony until a light blue mare popped out. Well, she wasn't that blue anymore . Soarin ran over to her. "Rainbow!" He put his hoof on her shoulder but Rainbow brushed it off. "I'm fine, Soarin. Lets go." Soarin blocked the door. "No... I'm not letting you go." Rainbow Dash opened her mouth to speak. But Soarin interrupted. "I thought you said you felt fine earlier." "That was earlier but I still feel fine. Its not that big a deal. Now let me get out there! Its time for us to go." Soarin looked at her with the most serious face. "Soarin... Look at me! I'm fine, it was just a short relapse, I GOT THIS!" "You should have told us the truth. You lied to all of us." "No I didn't. I said I felt a little nauseous that's all!" "A little nauseous?" "*sigh* Let's go Soarin." With that, Rainbow Dash scooted pass Soarin. Soarin chatted his teeth in nervousness. "Oh, Rainbow..." Author's Note Oh No! What's gonna happen next!? Stay With HerAuthor's Note Ugghhhhhhhh! I hate writing scenes like this! Well, you guys seem to like this... so Imma keep writing it, but nopony and I mean NOPONY is going to die! After this... no more sad stories! All happy... because that's what I'm good at! Stay With Her The time has come. It was time to perform. Once Spitfire had announced what was happening, the Wonderbolts all gathered together to do a exorcize to calm their nerves and then they all stood near the door to fly into the outside world. But before that happened. Rainbow Dash recited a few things in her mind: Stay Strong, Stay Strong...I know you can do this Rainbow. The pain you are feeling is not there. Forget about it! Forget about everything that is irritating you right... NOW! and then they were off! They flew off into the skies, feeling free as ever! Even Soarin forgot all of his troubles. Rainbow Dash no longer felt pain and Soarin felt no stress or worries. They were calm, finally. Rainbow Dash was really looking forward to her Sonic Rainboom that she was going to perform, but she focused on the choreography at that moment. When she flew next to Soarin, she smiled at him. Soarin smiled back... feeling relieved that she was actually okay, but that made him think about what he said in the bathroom... but he told himself that didn't matter right now. Fly now, apologize later. Rainbow Dash flew high into the sky, eager to perform the Sonic Rainboom part of her performance. She could feel the wind on her face and she could hear the screams of Scootaloo in the crowd. "Go Rainbow Dash!!!!!! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!" she chanted. Fluttershy silently cheered off to the side. The blue mare made a turn so that she faced the ground diagonally and she zoomed at high speeds towards the ground. It was ready to perform, the Sonic Rainboom. She zoomed and hit the air, creating a huge Sonic Rainboom that made the crowd cheer so loudly. Soarin yelled as he was flying: "Whoo! That was great Rainbow!" Soarin smiled at her from down below. Rainbow Dash smiled back, but he smiled turned into a frown and Soarin was aware of this. "Rainbow?" Rainbow Dash wrapped her forearms around her stomach. She felt the most terrible and awful pain she had ever felt. The world started to get fuzzy to her. "Soarin..." she tried to yell out but it came out as only a whisper. "Soarin." the next one was louder. "Ugh!" with that she started to fall, head first. All of the Wonderbolts gasped. Soarin went as fast as he could to catch Rainbow and was successful. He cradled her in his arms and proceeded to gently slap her face a few times because her eyes were closed. "Rainbow! Rainbow! Rainbow wake up!" Rainbow had passed out from pain but was awoken by Soarin and she wish she wasn't. "Oh thank Celestia!" Soarin said. The Wonderbolts crowded around them. They all observed Rainbow and asked what was wrong with her and what happened. Spitfire took action and she called off the performance. Fluttershy flew down with Scootaloo and they crowded around Rainbow and Soarin once they landed on the ground. They placed Rainbow Dash on a blanket. "Dash!" Spitfire said softly but alarmed. "What's wrong? Tell us." Rainbow Dash took many shuddered breaths before speaking. "The right side. The right-" she interrupted herself with a loud groan. "One of you!" Spitfire addressed the Wonderbolts loudly, which made them jump. "Call an ambulance, now!" one of them ran to call an ambulance. "Soarin and Scootaloo, stay with her!" Spitfire then pulled Fluttershy to the side. "Fluttershy, you were with Rainbow right?" "Yes ma'am." "Did her temperature ever reach 100?" Fluttershy looked over at Rainbow Dash. She didn't want to tell Spitfire but she cared about Rainbow's health and it looked like she was suffering a lot, too much for her to handle. "Yes... yes it did." "And you guys didn't tell me?" "Rainbow didn't want to... but she felt strong enough to do this. She believed she could." Flutershy said with confidence. "That's not to point. Her life could be on the line right now. Her temperature reached 100, that could be anything! The Feather Flu, Pegasus Pox... anything. She's complaining about her right side... so that could be-" "I called an ambulance! They're on their way!" said one Wonderbolt. Rainbow Dash was in so much pain that it was unbearable, she tried to get something out to Soarin and Scootaloo but was in too much pain. But she heard the conversation between Scootaloo and Soarin. Scootaloo was shaking and was terrified. "S-Soarin... what's going to happen?" "I don't know, Scootaloo... I don't know." "I'm scared... but I know she'll be okay... she's a strong fighter." "Yes, indeed she is. Very strong. We must never forget that." Rainbow Dash could endure it anymore. She passed out from pain. It was official... she pushed herself way... too... hard. You Do?Author's Note Okay guys, I'm just warning you: SUPER FLUFFS AND CUTE SCENES UP AHEAD! SO KAWAII DESU! *Sigh* I tried my best to end this though. Thanks for the support guys! You Do? Rainbow Dash shivered. It was really cold wherever she was. She opened her eyes and her view was fixed on the celling. It was white. She got up quickly but stopped herself as she wrapped her arm around her stomach, she felt something there, like a short line that ran underneath her skin. She looked around more and saw that she was in a hospital. "Why am I here?" she said, slightly worried. "What happened to me?" she noticed she was hooked up to a couple machines. She felt a tad dizzy but she felt much better than how she did not to long ago, though she couldn't remember what happened. She remembered falling from the sky... and that's all that came to her. "Hey!" she screamed a little loudly. She wanted to get the attention of sompony. She looked around. There must be a call button somewhere. she found one and pressed it. Soon, Nurse Redheart entered the room. Geez, Nurse Redheart is everywhere. "Hi, Ms. Dash! You're awake." "What happened to me?" Nurse Redheart walked over to Rainbow's hospital bed and sat down. "Ms. Dash... are you aware of what you could have done to your body?" "With all due respect but that doesn't answer my question. What happened to me?" "Well, your appendix burst and we had to remove it." "My what now did huh?" "It's something inside of you that you don't really need but Ms. Dash... you could have died." "How?" "When things like this happen, it can be life threatening but luckily, you had friends who knew what to do and they saved you." Rainbow couldn't believe her ears. She cold have died. "My friends... where are they?" "Oh, they are right out here. They've been waiting for you." Redheart opened the door and in walked Fluttershy, Spitfire, Scootaloo and Soarin. "Hi Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo ran over and hugged Rainbow Dash. She hugged her back. "Hey Rainbow!" said Fluttershy and Soarin in unison. "How you doing, Dash?' Spitfire said. "Hey Guys! I'm sorry if I scared you and I'm sorry that I didn't listen to either of you. I shouldn't have lied, I shouldn't have yelled at either of you, I shouldn't have pushed myself so hard. I'm sorry." "You don't have to apologize. We're just glad you're okay." said Spitfire. "Yeah... you're really important to us... ALL of us." said Soarin. "Thanks." Rainbow looked down at Scootaloo who was still hugging her. Scootaloo had something in her right forearm. "Hey, Squirt... what's that?" "Oh this!" Scootaloo pulled out a small little trinket of paper that had a picture her and Rainbow Dash on it and at the bottom it said: 20% Cooler. "I made this for you after I heard you were sick. I wanted to make you feel better." Rainbow Dash smiled and felt a warmness in her heart as she hugged Scootaloo. "Thank you, Scootaloo. You are the best sister ever!" "Haha, I kinda consider you like a mom too!" "Oh no. Not a mom yet." said Rainbow Dash chuckling. Scootaloo got off of the bed and hopped down next to Fluttershy and Spitfire. Suddenly, Scootaloo, Spitfire and Fluttershy all looked to Soarin and smiled. Soarin shook his head. Spitfire whispered in his ear something and the words most heard where: "That's an order!" Then all of them made their way out of the door. "Hey, Rainbow Dash... we have to take Scootaloo to the bathroom!" said Spitfire. "But I don't have to-" "Scootaloo..." said Fluttershy and she hinted something to Scootaloo. "Ohh, yeah I really have to go, bye!" then with that they left, leaving Soarin and Rainbow together by themselves. "Heh, they are so awesome." said Rainbow. "Yeah, and so are you." said Soarin. Rainbow Dash blushed. "Well, thanks Soarin." "What did I just say? Ugh, I'm sorry... I'm just a little frazzled." "Soarin..." Rainbow Dash said. "I'd like to say, thank you for always being there for me. I think you should be the element of Loyalty." Soarin chuckled. "Thanks. I just think you are so amazing." "You too." There was a long silence between them and then Soarin coughed. "Actually, I kinda wanted to tell you something." "What is it?" "Well um, ever since you've become a Wonderbolt... you have inspired me... so much. Everyday I see you, you're training hard and it's like you never give up. I see you with your fans and how much you pay attention to them and especially with Scootaloo, she just called you a mom. She looks up to you. To me, I think of you as somepony way more than just a friend. I... I love you Rainbow Dash." Rainbow Dash was in awe. She blushed harder. She didn't know what to say, it was very sudden. "I mean... I really love you. You are so beautiful and your courage and confidence in others and yourself gets me through the day. I don't know what I'd do without you." Rainbow Dash smiled. "Well, Soarin. I think you are the greatest Stallion to hang out with everyday. I actually love you too." Soarin chuckled. "Is that all you're going to say?" "I'm not the fluffy mushy type, if you know what I mean." she laughed and Soarin laughed along with her. "But really, I love you too." Even though Rainbow Dash was in the hospital... she was actually happy that she pushed her self too hard... because there wouldn't have been a moment as great as this one. Hey! Guess What!?What's up guys? Its Yorkie Pie!!! I'm glad you guys loved this story! I didn't know I could be good at sad romance stuff! You're not. Shh, Rainbow! So anyway, I was thinking about making a sequal in the near future! Because I LOOOOOOVVVVEEEE THIS SHIPPING! Not as much as CheesePie though, I just can't seem to write CheesePie though.. Cause like I said. You can't write romance. This was waaayyy to mushy for a Soarin ship with me. I'm hardcore! You made me seem like a little wuss! No I didn't Rai Rai, shushie! Why not write something about Pinkie Pie again! She's your favorite! I love u all equally. You don't even write about Rarity and Applejack that much! I will soon! And Rarity knows I love her, we do each others hair! And I help Applejack with the appletree out front! Somepony's gotta climb it! Anyway, expect to see a sequal in the near future, but right now... I'm working on Sgt Frog and A CheesePie story! Yorkie Pie is out, peace!
Hard Day of TrainingIt was a nice sunny day, a good morning for flying and the entire Wonderbolt team was assembled and ready for training day.
