Twilight's Tyranny

The ground had begun to rumble and shake. There was a loud blast of magic through Ponyville. The pink aura soon turned to black. A simple pegasus with a yellow coat and pink mane shivered as the ground began to crumble.

“Oh no!” She whimpered, trying to jump over the sudden cracks in the street. A strange black mist surrounded her, with white eyes and a broken smile. She shrieked, curling into a little ball, awaiting some pain to hit her. There was a sudden flash and a creature laid before her, surrounding them in a large golden ball. “Discord!” She smiled, pulling him into a hug. Discord smiled softly, returning the embrace.

“Fluttershy…”She then moved his chest away, looking around the ponies running and screaming. Their pupils dilated as a black mist surrounded a pony, entering her body. They painful screams caused. Fluttershy’s ears folded back as she turned over to Discord once more.

“Discord,” She looked up at him with sad eyes.”What’s happening?”

“I have no idea.” He uttered, his head raised high as he looked around. “I just sensed an extremely powerful force in Ponyville and decided to check it out. Looks like powerful was an understatement.” Fluttershy’s head bowed down as she leaned on the ball.

“We need to find the others.” She declared. “Whatever’s happening, we need to fix it.” She wisped around looking hopeful. “But until we find them, I need you to try and save those ponies. From whatever that is.” Discord nodded.

“Of course.” He grabbed Fluttershy by the hoof, and snapped his claw. Fluttershy looked around. Everything was, bigger. “This is just to ensure your safety. Just in case.” Discord tucked the mini Fluttershy into his neck fur. The protective bubble was lowered, and one of the black mists charged at Discord. The master of Chaos raised his paw at the creature, but nothing happened. “What in the-” The mist pinned him against the ground as it became a battle for the fittest. Fluttershy whimpered in Discord’s fur.

“W-what’s happening Discord?!” Having a keen sense of hearing, Discord heard her, throwing the creature away from him.

“The creatures...Whatever they are...I can’t use my magic.” His eyelids suddenly began to drop. At the last second he snapped his claw and Fluttershy sat right beside him. Her eyes darted back and forth at Discord’s unconscious body. Fluttershy’s eyes began to fill with tears.

“Discord? A-are you okay? Wake up!” Screams filled the whole area as bodies were torn and ripped apart, however Fluttershy didn’t focus on the sound other than the noise of Discord’s heartbeat. One of the creatures crept up behind Fluttershy, it’s body both cat and snake like. It raised over her head, a wide smile cut upon its face. Fluttershy’s head whipped around in fear. As the creature leaped a thin pink laser shot through it, causing it to evaporate. Fluttershy’s head moved in the direction of the laser and saw a figure in the distance. As the fog cleared, Fluttershy smiled once she saw who it was.

“Twilight!” She stood up to hug the princess, knowing that now she was there, it would all be okay. “Thank goodness!” A unicorn mare ran up to Twilight before Fluttershy at her side.

“Princess! Thank Celestia you’re here! There are creatures in the streets, and ponies are dyi-” Twilight’s horn glowed as she shot a sudden beam through the mare’s head. The body fell to the ground in a heap. Fluttershy stared at the lifeless body, taking a step back.

“T-Twilight how could you…” Twilight looked up from the dead unicorn on the ground. Her horn lit up again as she shot a small ball of magic at Fluttershy's head.

“Shut up.”
