//-------------------------------------------------------// Downed Guardians (Halo x Pony) -by TheTrueX- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Introduction. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Introduction. ~READ THE LONG DESCRIPTION FOR CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS!~ Lead stood before his team, his hands behind his back. They were all silent, as the Pelican slowed to land on the side of a mountain of Sanghelios. They were to fight the slowly-rebelling Covenant Forces. He had already given mission briefing, and their white visors shown as the door started to open. They began to march out the door- And already, someone had engaged. The left wing of the Pelican exploded into an indigo flame, and it began to fall. As it did so, the team of six jumped from the back, soon followed by Winger, via jetpack, who had been piloting before the shot. Recon was already scoping in, a laser pointed outward. "We have hostile forces to our west," Recon muttered. Seconds after finishing, she pulled the trigger to the rifle, sending a beam of light into what looked, from there, a spec that disappeared. Lead and the others jumped from the side, falling down the side of the mountain, firing at anything that moved (that wasn't yellow). Before slamming into the ground, they activated the thrusters on their back, stabilizing them in the air before they hit the ground. They continued to fire at any other Grunts dashing forward, before taking cover behind rocks as a Beam Rifle's shot nearly took off Newt's head. Grant launched one last rocket into a Wraith, which exploded like a multi-colored firework, before diving to the ground beside Lead. "UNSC, this is Spartan L-Thirty-Four-D, we request backup in these coordinates: Seventy-Seven S, Thirty-Four A, on planet Sanghelios." Lead sounded calm, as if he'd lived through this hundreds of times before. "Roger, we're sending in Viper." Viper was an old code-name used between Lead and his two oldest comrades, Jerry and Barcroft. It took nearly thirty minutes of fighting before a Hornet arrived, dropping off Barcroft and Jerry. Barcroft was the first of the two firing, using his stabilizers to keep him in the air as he aimed through the scope, firing at multiple Grunts with his DMR. Jerry landed, then opened fire, orange lights scattering among the Covenant like a minigun. Lead jumped over the Covenant Drop Pod that he was using as cover and opened fire with his SMG. The rest of the team followed suit, and Grant stayed behind a rock as cover from Airships. Eventually, multiple Drop Ships came down, in an attempt to drop down more hostile Covenant forces before one got blasted in the Plasma Engine via Grant's launcher, sending it into the second one. They exploded on impact and part of the debris hit the cockpit just right of the third, taking out the Elite driver, sending it into the canyon nearby. After the blasts, there were no more Covenant to be seen, not in fighting condition, anyways. Lead commanded the Yellows to stay behind, except for Recon, and then, with Jerry and Barcroft close behind, began to walk through the now-bloodied land, searching for any nearby camp sites. They began to approach one- And the Warden appeared. "More of humanity's threat has arrived. Perfect." He stared at them with hunger in his eyes. "We have nothing to deal with you, sir. We're required to defend our allies." Lead stated this in a cold tone. The Warden growled, "Then defend who you think's priority." A pair of Knights and multiple Crawlers appeared behind him, and he disappeared, appearing on top of a nearby mountain. Lead and Barcroft were immediate to engage with the Knights. Jerry and Recon began to take down Crawler after Crawler. Lead dodged a slash from the Knight's blade, and jammed his Mag's barrel into it's chest, using enough force to stagger it, shutting down it's shields, before blasting it's chest open. The Knight fell back before disappearing in an orange dust. Barcroft latched onto his Knight's back, slitting through it's neck before severing it's head from it's body, which both disappeared in orange dust. The Warden reappeared between Lead and Barcroft, who attempted to rush him with their weapons. The Warden didn't flinch. The two then ran up and were close to hitting with Melee weapons before the Warden sent them blasting back-And somehow, the four Spartans to an alternate dimension. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Unrecognized. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Unrecognized. Lead's eyes opened slowly, and he began to stand, retrieving his now-fallen helmet that had somehow been knocked from his head. He was in a forest, as far as he could tell. He stopped mid-grasp as he realized he had hooves, but was still in his full body armor. He looked around, confusion clearly in his cold eyes. He wasn't anywhere close to the Warden, nor his team, and that was a for sure statement. He grabbed the helmet between his hooves and put it over his head. "Spartan L34D to Yellow Squadron. Does anyone copy?" He waited a moment. Nothing but static. He removed his helmet calmly, waited a moment, then replaced it on his head. "Yellow Squadron, Viper, Jerry." His voice was still cold. "Do you copy?" Static. He could hear footsteps behind him, and he pulled the Battle Rifle from his back, instinctively, and pointed it behind him, turning to face the footsteps. He no longer heard footsteps, and he began to stalk toward a nearby bush. He whacked through one of the sides of the bush, and came face-to-face with a bright yellow pony. Her mane was a faded pink, and her eyes were a light shade of green. Lead lowered his weapon, staring for a moment. A silence was set between the two. Lead spoke after about a minute. "Where am I, and where's the rest of my team?" Lead was never the type to freak out. She looked taken aback-First he pointed a weapon at her, now he's asking where he was and where his "team" was. Fluttershy wasn't the type to assume, but she had a faint feeling that this man could kill her within a matter of seconds. She gasped silently, before quickly muttering words that Lead found himself unable to hear. "What was that?" He replaced the Rifle on his back. She said the words again, louder, and Lead heard what he needed to hear. "Y-You're in a place c-called Equestria," she stammered, "a-and I haven't...Haven't seen any o-others like you." Lead nodded, silently. "Spartan Lead. UNSC." He had a feeling he'd be saying that tons of times. "I-I'm Fluttershy," the Pegasus was yet again stammering. "Well then, Fluttershy, we may wish to get out of here. Knowing the Warden, we're not likely to be alone." Fluttershy was definitely confused now. Warden? Was this guy wanted? Is he from a team of bandits? Thoughts continued to ricochet around Fluttershy's mind. She decided to help him anyways. After nearly ten minutes of walking, Lead and Fluttershy found themselves in a crowded village-like town. Lead looked around, stopping in front of Fluttershy. Before Lead could say anything, Pinkie appeared from a nearby trash can, bashing out of it like a Warp Zone and landing beside Fluttershy. "Hey Fluttershy! Who's this? Ooh, he has armor! Is it a he? I think it's a he. What's his name? Is he a cyborg? He's new, right? Did something happen?" She continued to babble on, eventually going from questioning the Pegasus to admiring the Spartan. Lead put his hoof up and Pinkie slowly went silent. "My name is Lead. I am a male Spartan of the UNSC." He lowered his hoof as he finished. "I'm searching for my team." A sudden loud bang came from nearby, and they heard blasts and screams echoing through the town. Lead pulled his Battle Rifle and ran towards the scene, followed by Pinkie and Fluttershy. A building had crashed down, and inside, shooting at anything moving, were Promethian Soldiers, Crawlers, and two Knights. The bipeds were all altered in this world, it seemed, but didn't stop them from using their front hooves to handle weapons. Lead began to fire at them, and he was immediately noticed. They all began to target him, rather than attacking everything. He dove behind a wall, signalling Pinkie and Fluttershy to help destroy the hostile aliens. Pinkie understood and began to bounce in place, before jumping with such a height that anyone would've died, and slamming down on top of a Knight. It flattened like a bug. Lead's eyes widened under the visor, clearly surprised that there was such a power within these ponies. Glowing orange blood shot from the pancake as it disappeared in a gold-orange dust. Fluttershy was scolding a Crawler, which seemed to be much more effective than anyone'd think. As the trio continued to fight the small gang of Prometheans, above them watched the Warden that had sent Lead there. He cursed under his breath before silently warping away. Little did Lead know, the Warden wasn't the only thing he had to worry about.
