That said thanks and on to the story.
Prologue: The Mane Six and The Storm
Our story begins with six mares. These six were the embodiments of harmony in their land. Their names were Twilight Sparkle, Applejack Apple, Rainbow Dash, Rarity Belle, Fluttershy Flutters, and Pinkamena Dianne Pie, or Pinkie Pie for short. The six were sitting in the Golden Oaks Library. Twilight was telling her friends about her time in Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. She said “So Lyra and I were paired up and we ended up blowing up the chemistry lab because Lyra accidentally mixed in the sulfur to soon.” The girls all laughed and Twilight smiled. She turned to Pinkie and said “So what do you girls have planned for the day?”
Pinkie shrugged and said “Well Twilight, we planned on having a picnic. We were wondering if you wanted to join or if you were just going to study all day.” Twilight smiled and motioned that she was willing to join the girls and they all headed to Sugarcube Corner to get some treats for their time in the park. They got cookies, cupcakes, regular cakes, eclairs, chocolate, apple fritters, apple pies, and so much more. The six trotted out of Sugarcube Corner with a large basket full of goodies and headed to the local park.
When they got to the park they sat down and set out the food then Applejack challenged RD to a hoof wrestle. Rainbow grinned and said “You’re on AJ.” The two started wrestling each other and the other girls watched on in rapt fascination as Rainbow and AJ tried to one up each other. After about five minutes the other girls got bored of watching because neither of them was winning and dug into the food. Rarity asked Twilight about her time in Canterlot and Twilight was happy to talk about it, though she didn’t know as much about fashion of the time or anything else. Fluttershy and Pinkie talked about the up and coming bunny census. Eventually Rainbow and Applejack called off their match to grab some vittles a AJ called them.
The six of them sat and ate for a while. After about two hours the sky started getting cloudy and overcast. Rainbow said “Buck! What is up with my team, they know we don’t have any storms scheduled.” Twilight was the one to point out the storm was coming from the Everfree forest. Rainbow swore and said “Girls this is bad.” They looked at her questioningly and she said “If this storm gets to ponyville it could cause a lot of damage. I’ve got to get in the air and stop it.”
Rainbow flew up to deal with the storm while the other girls looked on in worry. Twilight rushed back to the library to look up ways to disperse the storm faster because if it hit the town it was going to cause a lot of damage, as Rainbow had said. Eventually she could come up with no other option than to use the elements of harmony to banish the storm. She rushed back to the girls with the elements in tow, and told them her plan. Rarity said “Really darling?” Twilight nodded and she said “If the elements are our only option then I guess we must use them. I just hope this doesn’t mess up my mane.” The other girls sighed at Rarity’s diva attitude as they donned their necklaces. Twilight donned her tiara and they prepared the harmonious magic to blast the storm.
What none of them knew is that the storm was no ordinary storm. It was a chaos storm that had temporal and spacial magic mixed into it. If Twilight had known this of course she’d have never tried to blast the storm with the elements of harmony, but then again our story would never exist if the girls didn’t do what they did best which was try to protect Equestria. They floated in the air and released a beam of magic at the storm. The harmonious and chaotic magic mixed together and opened a rift in time and space. The girls were pulled into the rift and pulled out of space and time.
Meanwhile in Canterlot Celestia and Luna were waiting for a report on what had happened to the storm. As the storm dispersed, the magic in the air started to vanish and the only sign that it had ever existed was the damage to the Everfree, the ripped up trees, and the other damage to the park where the element holders had faced the ferocious storm of terrible chaos. However no one would know what happened to the element bearers for a very long time. Equestria’s time of peace was not over, but their usual panic button had been removed from them and they were forced to deal with threats manually.
However our story is not about Equestria but another world. A world ruled by the creator and touched by the dark one. A world where men and women would use power only seen in the age of legends, a world on the precipice of battle, a world in desperate need of harmony. For you see the creator had drawn these six girls into this world because the dragon had been reborn and he was in desperate need of help. It would be up to these six and three others to hold the balance. It would be up to these girls to show the world that harmony was not lost and would not bow in the face of darkness. It would be up to these six that the light would prevail, and that the prince of the ravens, the wolf king, and the dragon reborn would have a chance.
In essence it would be up to these six, two wielding the one power, two wielding the talent of dreamers, and two with talents not seen since the age of legends and beyond, but all six tavéren to make the world a better place before they could go home. That is if they’d even want to go home after fulfilling their destiny. And so the prophets prayed “Let the heroes of ages come again. Let the six help the dragon, the gambler, and the blacksmith. Let the lady, the scholar, the farmer, the beast master, the speedster, and the unpredictable one live. Let them arrive at the darkest hour and shine light into the darkness. Let the world know salvation from the grip of despair,” and so it would come to pass as the storm deposited its load of six ponies turned humans onto the farm of a sheepherder and his father.
