Deep within the catacombs of the castle there was a being... an eternal being trapped within the darkness of the void in its host. The thing thought to itself as it did for forever. "How can I get out of this place?" This being was simply known as vigor. It lived in the mind, controlling the body. But it was week. Forever locked within this cell of a creature from another world. Eternally asleep never aging and never dying. Te amount of spells used to keep him inside this thing was astounding. The Princesses did an excellent job of keeping him locked up in this hell of a host. But something unexpected happened. Something he hasn't from in a very...very long time: another voice. It was his host. His most despised colleague in what he did before he got locked up. The hero. the slayer. The one. The TRUE monster. The demon of two worlds. The human. Vigor growled with distaste of the voice of the one that stopped him, of the one that killed him. The human spoke.
"I don't think you'll be getting out of me anytime soon Vigor. Even if we are sealed to each other forever. It's like a really crappy arranged marriage. But for the literal good of the entire universe." The human's form flickered into existence inside the dark void.
Vigor glared angrily at him. If looks could kill the human would've died even if he was immortal. The human snickered at the demon, placing his hand over his mouth. Vigor muttered curses under his breath looking away from his captor before turning around again and glaring at the human. At his motion the human smiled sarcastically at him, angering the demon even more.
"ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED MONSTER?!?!?" Vigor asked yelling angrily clenching one of his fists into a ball with a black inky smoke coming out of his fist like a freshly lit bonfire.
The human laughed and said smirking: "Remember, you can't kill me while were in MY brain. Plus my name is not monster. My name is James. Although "Monster" is one of my favorite songs from where I came from..." James replied while putting his hand under his chin and smiling at the memory.
"ENOUGH OF THIS!!!!" The demon roared out of pure rage. "WHEN THE TIME FOR OUR IMPRISONMENT IS UP I'LL-" Vigor was cut off as he heard something from the outside...
James and vigor looked around the empty area they were in hearing a muffled voice of mare.
"Spike! I think I found what the princesses were talking about!"
Both entities looked at each other. The human looking terrified while the demon had a smirk on his face.
"Are you worried now human?" The demon asked chuckling.
James looked around nervously wanting to say something to the outsider but he couldn't. Trapped in his own brain he couldn't talk to the outside world at all. Nervously he looked back and forth from Vigor to the outside area of the inside of his mind. Ideas and theories on why somepony would come down here at all would be insane! He came up with the idea that the mare and her friend were drunk with cider. But even being drunk your mind wouldn't know half the spells you would need to get down here! Hell you would need princess levels of magic and even know the spells to get through! James placed his hands on his head and keeled down. For one of the few times in his life spent here, he was afraid. Afraid for this mare's safety. Afraid for everypony's safety. He looked up at Vigor with wide eyes and sweat dripping down his forehead. Vigor looked back down at him with the grin of a sociopath who had just murdered a victim of his. James had to face the reality of what would soon happen. Vigor would be free once again.

Twilight was in her castle looking through newly received books she bought from a shop nearby. One in particular (the one she was reading to be exact) was... interesting to say the least. This one was called: "Myths, Legends, and Tales Through History". Twilight was flipping through page after page of the book, she had already heard or read most of these legends. Heck she fought a couple of them. But, there was one myth in this peculiar book that she was the most interested in. It was simply called: "The Human and The Demon". Twilight cocked her head as she studied the title of the page carefully with curiosity in her eyes. When she was younger she had read this story before, but she however. Never payed attention to it that much thinking that it was just fiction like the other legends she read.
Looking down at the page she started to read. "Long ago, a being with unusual powers came to Equestria. This creature was tall and bipedal in nature like a Minotaur or Diamond Dog. However... it brought something else along with it. It brought a demon, a creature of pure darkness with this demon years later both of them were sealed deep within The Castle of the Two Sisters" Twilight was cut of when a sudden knock went on the door. Twilight looked up and heard her assistant's voice.
"Twilight?" Spike asked through the wooden door. "I just got a letter from Celestia!"
"What does it say?" Twilight asked opening the door and letting spike into the library.
"It says..." Spike cleared his throat and read aloud. "Dear Twilight Sparkle, my sister and I have detected a disturbance deep within the catacombs of our old castle." Spike looked nervously at twilight shaking a little, and continued reading. "I would like you and your friends to go and check out whatever happened. If by any chance it is dangerous we can't risk it getting out of the castle. Sincerely, Celestia."
Twilight looked shocked. She looked at Spike, then at the book, and then repeated this process several times with each turn her eyes got wider and wider. Her mouth hung open and then her eyes filled with glee and smiled largely at her assistant.
"Spike do you know what this means?" She asked grabbing his shoulders with her hooves.
"Uhhh... that your going to a scary castle?" Spike asked nervously.
"It means we get to see an entirely new species! Isn't that amazing???" Twilight asked as her eyes glittered with excitement and curiosity.
"Um, Twilight... you're uncomfortably close." Spike replied nervously. I-I'll send letters to your friends..."
"Good idea Spike. It's a good idea to do what Celestia said." Twilight said sighing. "Lets get this over with."
