Celestia was bred to be good. To shield, protect, be good, and lead her subjects. Every wrong she tries to make up for, her feelings not relevant. She is good and she will not end up like her sister. But how much good is too much?
Celestia has fears. She has fears every night. Nightmare Moon only served to bring to realization that fear. She was bred to think about the subjects, to shield them, to be good to them, to lead them. Rulers bury everything and think about others for good. But how much good is too much? She chooses to face it.
