Rise of A Phantom Thief

What is the one place someone would never expect a crime being orchestrated? How about a crowded party being held at the royal castle! Yeah, there's a good place to start!

I leap from building to building keeping the castle in my sights. A smirk spreads across my face as a bead of sweat runs down my check. This is it, my first real job! Time to show what I can do!

I leap from the building, my cape flapping in the wind, and land on the cobblestone roads as I sneak through the shadows avoiding guards prowling the streets. I smile as I easily sweep by them without even a single peep escaping my lips.

Finally, after what felt like 30 minutes of ninja like sportsmanship I reach the castle drawbridge and quickly search for my tools and pulling out a single shot flintlock pistol. With a confident smirk, I aim the pistol at the other end of the bridge as two guards stare off into the distance.

With a quick tug of the trigger, the gun goes off with an amazingly loud bang. The guards now on high alert quickly sprint towards my location not realizing that I was climbing the building with a hook rope. Once again I quickly leap from my position back onto the bridge and make a mad dash for the other side.

Hearing the clunking of my boots the guard turn back towards the bridge to see me running and give chance.

"All according to plan!" I say to myself as I reach back into my coat pulling out a single dagger and with almost god-like aim I manage to throw the dagger into the lever controlling the bridge.

Suddenly I felt myself begin to rise as the bridge began to rise. I look behind me and see my trailers fall into the moat under the bridge and I start to laugh as my heart beats a mile a minute.

Finally, after managing to stand on solid ground again I cling to the wall and make my way into the shadows before any more guards show up. Truly now was the only time I was gonna be able to do this.

I check my outfit and admire the amazing design my outfit consists of a black trench coat with a gray collared shirt, black trousers, brown Cuban heeled boots, and a pair of red gloves, and my amazing mask is a white bird-shaped mask with a black design around the eyes.

"Aw....gotta love leather! I'm such a baller!" I whisper to myself as I psych myself up.

I check my tools and see I have one more pistol and 2 more daggers attached to my belt, as well as, two smoke bombs and my secret weapon!

Seeing all my tools and my stunning outfit is secure I make my way around the building avoiding direct attention from the guests. I notice that the guards had thinned out due to my little stunt with the bridge.

I let a relieved sigh leave my lips as I find the back kitchen entrance to the castle. I quickly slither in behind one of the waiters and hide behind the kitchen appliances stacked against the walls.

Finally, I leave the kitchen and find myself in the main ball room. Rich noble ponies are talking amongst themselves arguing the differences in food and in politics. I quickly hide under the table linings and sneak down the row of tables. Once I get to the end I lift the cloth just enough to get my position in the room.

I quickly figure out that I'm just where I need to be as I see a rope connected to the chandelier found in the center of the ballroom. I draw my second dagger and fling it past the rope cutting it with ease.

Suddenly a scream was heard as the chandelier fell causing a lot of guards to come pouring into the ballroom. In the commotion, I come out of hiding and walk past everyone without a single person stopping me due to the sudden round of chaos.

I can't help but smirk confidently as I close the door to the ballroom behind me and take a spear from a golden piece of armor and place it between the door handles. I quickly spin around and I find myself in the main entrance to the castle.

I make tracks as I sprint up the stairs and into the dark corridors of the castle grounds. All the guards are gone due to all my little pranks and I was able to walk around the main halls without any trouble at all.

Within at least 10 minutes I find my target! The princess of the sun, Celestia's, bedroom. I quickly sneak in to find a VERY pink room. Seriously I get she's the princess of the sun but this much bright colors cannot be good for your eyesight!

I quickly spot my treasure! The princess of the sun's golden crown! Taking the crown in my hand I feel the adrenaline pumping through my system. However, I'm not able to savor this feeling as I hear a lot of foot....Hoof? whatever kind of steps coming straight towards me.

I make my way towards the window and open it just in time as the guards burst through the door and spot me. I gave them a bright smile as I leaped from the balcony and onto the roof of the castle. As I run I hear the guards cursing and quickly tried to chance me down.

I grin as I make a quick turn burst through a window. Seeing that I am now in another hallway I quickly make a mad dash for the end of the hall. Suddenly I notice another volley of guards coming from the staircase at the end of the hall.

"STOP THEIF!" One of the guards shouted as they point their spears at me.

"Oh come on! SO cliche!" I laugh as I spin on my heel and leap towards another window.

I hear the guards gasp in shock and in terror no doubt realizing where I was going next. I hide in the shadows, somehow managing to lose my pursuers and make my way to the garden section of the castle.

"By now the guards have moved everyone outside....Perfect." I say with an evil grin as I sneak my way around the castle rooftop.

As I perch myself in the shadows of the rooftop I see that all of the nobles are now outside with mixtures of shock and confusion as they demand that guards explain the situation. One such noble and white princess with long flowing rainbow-colored hair watched the situation with a serious expression on her face.

I check the garden and as I expected the spotlights are in place and I smirk as I prepare myself. This was it.....My declaration!! My time is NOW!!!

I pull out my final pistol and point it into the night sky and pull the trigger. The shot was louder than expected probably to much gun powder but oh well.

The spotlights quickly train on me and I smirk as everyone's attention is now fixed on me. I spin the crown around my index finger letting everyone get a good look at it as I notice the guards moving about on the ground.

"GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!!" I shout at the top of my lungs catching everyone off guard even the guards have stopped running around.

"It's a pleasure to meet all you fine mares and gentle colts! However, I believe this party is a little too stuffy for me so I think I'll take my prize and go home! But before I go I think I should at least tell you who I am."

The crowd was awestruck as they watched me. I could tell all the guards were furious with me but it just made it that much more fun! However, the princess stared at me with a mix of shock and....pity. That irked me a little but no matter this was my stage.

"I am the legendary phantom thief, ARSENE! I only have one thing I want out of life!" I explain as I pause for that dramatic effect.

"TO STEAL EVERYTHING THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER!"

I heard gasps and saw looks of shock as the crowd took in every word. I felt my body in ecstasy this was everything I could have ever wanted! I'm the big man on stage! I won't lie....I was a little turned on right now. But enough about hypothetical erections

"Spread the word, people! The Phantom Arsene has come to take what is yours! SO LET US START THE GAME!" I shout as I let myself fall off the roof.

The crowd gasps in horror as I felt the wind slip by my face. I quickly unbuckle my smoke bombs while grabbing my last dagger and with an overly dramatic spin I throw the dagger into the fireworks stand causing a large explosion of fireworks to launch into the sky.

After that, the smoke bombs go off as I leave my secret behind for all to see. I land on the ground with a soft thud as I lunge out of the smoke and into the shadows.

*Perspective shift*

The guards quickly rush onto the scene trying to find any sign of this, Arsene. However, it appears that he had vanished into thin air!

I felt a mixture of shock and excitement rush through my body as the headlines rushed through my head a mile a minute. Suddenly I notice something strange near my hooves and reach down to pick up what looked to be a card.

"Everypony get a look at this!" I shouted out loud without even realizing it as everyone turned to me.

This would be the scope of the century! No pony has ever dared to attempt something as foolish as this since the Discord incident a few months ago! A thief....No....A PHANTOM THIEF!

Suddenly one of the guards took the card from me and ran back to the other guards.

"Send out a wanted poster to every corner of Equestria! I want this thief found!" He shouted as he held up the calling card.
