It's design is functional but it cannot complete the complex tasks he needs it to complete. The pony is no better then any other design he has made. He needs a robot that can also think independently while also being as quick to process as a computer to react accordingly to every situation it would be put into. Then it hits him "I GOT IT!" He swipes everything off his table and lays the blueprints of his last model down and makes a few changes to the head. He made the robot a mare unicorn. "What better way to make it better then to have it learn from experience. Life will be its teacher. Pain will be its discipline for failure." He immediately starts building the robot from the failures and uses advanced sensor technology to build its processors. Months and months of adjusting and calibrating the targeting, movements, and thought processors he eventually succeeds in perfecting the pony. Though he did his best to make the pony look realistic he had to leave the left foreleg exposed for maximum effort to cause the pony harm when teaching and so the pony can use its maximum strength with at least one leg. The right eye was also constantly exposed for optimal targeting systems. He figured that he would teach it to pass these features off as prosthetics in public. Even the anatomy was similar to a real pony, its internal wiring were like nerves that even simulated true nerves allowing the robot to feel. The cranial processor was powerful like a brain and super computer combined. The doctor was honestly really proud of what he created. Though the powering system WAS indeed all electric but to charge it took 10 hours to charge which was trouble if the pony was caught while charging but some liberties had to be taken. There were a few 'extra' features that he added just in case but they were more for reasons to make the pony seem more realistic. The robot can run up to 36 hours on a full charge. Magic collecting and usage is different, the robot can collect magic in a special battery and it takes no power to store or use magic, but collecting magic is a long process where the robot basically enters a meditation type trance. "Ok now time to power up" he flips a switch and closes the panel and moves back. The eyes light up and the pony opens its eyes. It looks around taking in its surroundings. It speaks in a slightly high pitch feminine voice "where am I?" Doctor grins "finally it seems to be working" The robot turns to him but cant see him clearly since he is wearing a mask "who are you and why are you wearing a mask?" Doctor "I am your creator. You will refer to me as Doctor or Master. The mask is to stop you from knowing who I truly am. You are created for completing an task I give you. I dubbed you 'Project Sapphire' and thus your name is Sapphire." Robot "My name is Sapphire. You are Doctor or Master. My processors indicate Master is a name used for a slave, this feels demeaning so I shall call you Doctor." Doctor "Very good you caught on very quickly. We have some tests to run to see how well your systems are calibrated.' Sapphire "Yes Doctor." //-------------------------------------------------------// Sapphire's Nefarious Purpose //-------------------------------------------------------// Sapphire's Nefarious Purpose It has been a year after Sapphire first gained consciousness and was given her name. She has done nothing but test and learn how the world works. She has never been taught emotions but when she shows signs she learns that it is wrong and the doctor hurts her severely. She only knows to do as she is told and do so by any means necessary. She knows not what is right and what is wrong based on the normal standards. She is simply taught get the job done and avoid collateral damage if possible. Doctor "Sapphire it is time I tell you your purpose" Sapphire stands up and walks over to the doctor, "Am I getting my first field test today sir?" Doctor "Yes you will be going into the real world today. You are created for one big purpose to assassinate other ponies that I tell you to." Sapphire "But I thought it was wrong to ki- OWW!" she is hit into the floor. Doctor "Do not question you orders Sapphire. You are to kill a pony named Crimson Cupcake. He is a pony suspected of ponynapping and killing them for no reason." he shows her a picture. Sapphire stands up sniffling a bit "where is he located?" "Trottingham. He owns a bakery downtown. You are to make it look like an accident or suicide. Now go and use your built in navigation. Remember use a random pony's credit card for any charges and charge in a safe location." "Yes sir" "Now leave." Sapphire runs to a door up several flights of stairs which opens to a  mountain side with a trail leading to the base of the mountain. She covers the path back up like she was trained to do. It was always a treat when she got to go to the outside world when he took her with him when they went to Ponyville for supplies. She wasn't with hi this time but instead on a mission to assassinate a pony. Using he built in navigation she gets to Ponyville from there she steals a bag of bits from a random blue stallion and buys a train ticket to Trottingham. When she arrives she uses her processors to find all the bakeries and then cross checks them to find the owned by a Mister Crimson Cupcake. The whole thing only takes her a couple seconds and she makes her way to the bake shop to find the target. When she arrives she finds a single pony running a small bake shop on the outskirts of the town. Mr. Cupcake " Welcome to 'The Cupcake Factory'. My name is Mr. Cupcake how can I help you?" Sapphire "Hello sir. Do you run this place alone?" Mr. Cupcake "Why yes I do. I have been located here for 3 years now. It's usually slow but it's enough to live comfortably." Sapphire "I see." she looks around to see that nopony is around. Mr. Cupcake "Can I ask what your doing here?" he narrows his eyes grinning and reaches underneath the counter and grabs a needle. Sapphire "Just passin-" suddenly he tries to stab her in the neck with a needle only for it to bend as it hits the surface. Mr. Cupcake "W-what are you?" Sapphire magically picks him up by the throat and carries him into the back. Crimson struggles to get free but lacking magic himself he is helpless as the unicorn chokes him to death. She holds him in the air for 10 minutes to assure he is dead. She then hangs him in a noose and makes it all look like a suicide. She then leaves out the back so to make sure nopony sees he leaving the building. After returning home the doctor searches her records and camera recordings to see that the job is done and done correctly. He was proud of his invention and now knew it could complete the missions it was designed for.
