It was a sunny day, as most days were in Ponyville. Scootaloo raced to the other Cutiemark Crusaders. She had dirt all over her and cuts were on her knees.
"I guess zip-lining isn't our special talent." Scootaloo sighed, brushing the dirt off of her face with her hoof.
Applebloom looked at the two. She suddenly smiled. "Ah fergot! Rainbow Dash gave me this here book when I was walking home. She said somethin' about gettin' our cutiemarks for adventure or somethin' like that." Applebloom dug her face into the saddlebag. She soon pulled out a small book. On the cover it had a mare with a yellow-ish coat with a grayscale mane.
"I know who that is!" Scootaloo said. "Her names umm...." She trailed off, trying to remember the name of the pony.
"It's Daring-Do! I saw Rainbow Dash reading it in the library. I'm sure she's read the whole series by now." Sweetie Belle squeaked.
Applebloom looked at the cover. "Ah know! Maybe we can get our cutiemarks on adventure! This pony seems to have one on it maybe we could get ours too!" The western pony said, her smile widening. The three all nodded.
"I gotta go ask Rarity if I can go adventuring." Sweetie Belle said as she ran to the boutique.
"Same here." Applebloom said and ran to Sweet Apple Arces.
Scootaloo waited for the other fillies. She sat down, bored while waiting.

It took the two fillies only a short while to come back. Applebloom brought a saddlebag full of essentials for the trip. "Ah brought water, some food, and the Darin'-Do book." She said as she pulled it out of her bag with her teeth.
"Great! Rarity gave me some blankets in case we go camping." Sweetie Belle said.
"Can we go now?" Scootaloo asked, her impatience growing.
"Okay." Applebloom said, ready to go. Sweetie Belle was in the back of the wagon, ready for an adventure.
"TO THE FOREST!" Scootaloo shouted. She started to skid off, until she felt a hoof tap on her shoulder. "What is it?" Scootaloo asked, clearly annoyed.
Sweetie Belle looked at her. "Why the Everfree forest? Why not a meadow or something safe?" The white filly asked.
"Because," Scootaloo said. "Daring-Do only adventures in dangerous places. See all the animals chasing her?" She grabbed the book and tapped the cover lightly.
"Fine then, but if we get eaten, it's on you Scootaloo." Sweetie Belle said pointing her hoof at the orange pegasus.
Scootaloo was about to protest, but she wanted to go on an adventure. She smirked and drove the scooter until they reached the entrance. The three stared at the trees.
"Okay, we'll all go in on the count of three." Sweetie Belle offered nervously.
Scootaloo gulped. "One."
"Two." The yellow filly said.
"THREE!" All three shouted as they and ran in.
