Chapter five.
Twilight woke up late in the morning. Spike was still asleep. She made herself some breakfast, only a daisy sandwich and some apple juice (you don't want go know what happened when she tried to bake some eggs.), and sat down to read the newspaper. She nearly ckoked on her sandwich when she saw what was on the first page.
"*cough* What?!"
Mysterious killer.
Last night in Filly Delphia, Inky Hoof, daughter of Ink Scroll and Paper Pen, was attacked by an unknown killer called The Rake, described as an overgrown hairless dog that looks like it was overrun by a chariot, only it's claws are longer than a dog's. It's motives are unclear. The family apparantly had just returned from the Neighagra Falls. The victim nearly died. No further details.
"First the Slenderman and now another monster? What's going on?"
"That's what I'd like to know too." The Doctor said.
"Okay... Wait, how did you get in here?"
"Through the front door!" He said sheepishly.
"Next time knock and then wait for me or Spike to open the door, okay?"
"Sure! But now back to the Rake. I have an idea of where they both came from."
"Really?!"
"Yes. They are both mythical creatures from the human world. The most logical thing is that a disturbance opened a rift between our world and that of the humans. Unfortunatly, I can't say how many creatures were brought to this world."
"How do you know all that? And what do you mean with human world?" Twilight had a look on her face that was a mix of awe and confusion at the Doctor's knowledge.
"Let me start at the beginning. I travel through time and space to protect this world and other worlds. Sometimes the barriers between worlds weaken and objects or creatures and sometimes even whole villages or cities get dragged into other worlds. And this book of yours isn't even from this world! All the objects made by humans in thi world were accidently dragged into this world. I can't tell you too much or I would drag you into some kind of mess."
"I'll just go along with what you said. But you mean that the Slenderman and the Rake aren't the only ones that have been dragged into this world?"
"It's a possibility. But we have no time to waste. Follow me." He got up and walked out the frontdoor.
"Where are we going?" Twilight followed him.
"To Pinkie. I need to be sure she's alright and I need to find out if she isn't affected by the Slenderman."
'I forgot about her! How could I have forgotten about Pinkie?!' Twilight thought to herself.
After a bit of walking the two of them arrived at the hospital. They asked if they could see Pinkie and they were brought to Pinkie.
"Hey Twilight!" Pinkie said with her usual smile and bubbly personality.
"Thank goodness you're okay. How do you feel?"
"Pretty good! He really scared me but he didn't need to cut my legs! He probably did on accident with his sharp claws, but still! He should be more carefull with those! Maybe I can give him a party! I'll ask Rarity to make him some gloves so he can't hurt others that easyily! And maybe a top hat! And a wooden cane! And a monocle! Wait... He doesn't have eyes! Silly me!" Pinkie giggled to her self.
"Pinkie, I don't think that's such a good idea." Twilight said.
"That might actually be a good idea!" The Doctor said.
"It is?" Twilight said, confused at What The Doctor said.
"It is?" Pinkie said.
"Isn't it obvious? The Slenderman only has ghouls as company and only a few can actually think like they normally did. He's lonely! He could really use a party. But the problem is that he might scare the others." Twilight blinked a few times and thought about what The Doctor had said.
'Maybe he is lonely...' She thought.
"Now let's go find The Rake! Follow me!" The Doctor said, already running out the room.
"Okay... Wait what!?" Twilight was really getting confused at The Doctor's personality. 'First he's really serious and then he sees it as an adventure! What's up with that?'
"What... is that." In front of her was a big blue box.
"That's The TARDIS! With her we're going to be in Filly Delphia in no time!" The Doctor said, with a bit too much excitement in her opinion.
"How? It's barely big enough for only one pony!" She said, slowly getting more angry.
"Follow me!" He suddenly ran in to the box. Strangely enough she heard no crashing. She nervously walked in and her eyes went wide in astonishment.
"It's bigger on the inside!" She said, amazed that the inside of The TARDIS was at least six times bigger than it looked on the outside.
"I love it when they say that." The Doctor said, having a distant look in his eyes. He shook his head and walked over to some weird machine in the center of the room. After he had flipped some levers and pushed some buttons the machine started making a strange noise. The doors closed and the noise increased in volume. After a little while the noise stopped and the doors opened. When she looked outside her eyes went wide.
"We're in Filly Delphia!" She said, not believing her eyes.
"Yep! Now here's the plan: you go to the hospital to ask the victim and her parents some questions. Meanwhile, I'll search the house for any clues. If they ask for confirmation of your identity, here's a ID card with your name on it." He handed her a card with her picture and name on it.
"But this is a fake! That's against the laws!" She said furiously.
"Doesn't matter. Many lives depent on this so a few laws are bound to be broken." He retorted.
"Ugh! Fine!" She was starting to get seriously annoyed by The Doctor.
"Good! We'll see each other here at ummm... 8 PM. Good luck!" And with that being said they both left, not noticing two glowing red eyes, filled with malicious content, looking at them.
"Run my little ponies, run! Run while you can..."
