Halt

Chapter 3

It has been 3 months since his last assignment Halt had not heard from his peers which is kinda of odd but yet he took this time to do normal things like reading and excercising regularly yet he still kept his weapons sharp and training on a dummy in his home. Halt could not believe that he had not gotten anything from his bretheren not even a letter from his close friends or his old mentor Will. So Halt finally decided to leave the house since the last 3 months (he had supply stashes throughout his house just for waiting out long periods of time) Halt opened the door and was forced to sheild his eyes from the sun but that problem went away when Halt pulled the cloak over his head. Halt walked everywhere in town searching for a sign for his brothers but found nothing. Halt was amazed by the fact that their was no trace of any of his creed anymore. Bang,Halt sheilded his eyes from the explosion as he felt somepony grab him and put a bag over his head. The phantom pushed Halt through a doorway where Halt was then hit upside the head with something metalic and quickly lossed consicousness...

Halt awoke and looked foward to see a metal door that stood daunting him he tried to walk forward to the door and was held fast by ropes that held his hooves in place on the ground. Halt looked over himself and realized that he had all of his equipment, whoever captured was so stupid they didn't think to remove his items, so Halt activated his hidden blades and cut them off his hooves he then turned and cut the ropes off his hindlegs. Now unrestrained he made his way to the door and tried to work the lock with his hidden blade to no avail. Halt looked around for any way to break the lock on the door but there was nothing other than a bed and a toilet the room looked like a jail cell without the bars thought Halt. Halt then looked at the lock then at his foreleg then he facehoofed. Halt quickly use his gun to shoot the lock destroying it and the force of the bullet actually pushed the door open.

The guard outside the door was pushed down and killed in an instant by Halt with a quick throatstab with the hidden blade Halt looked everywhere trying to find an exit. The only thing that lined the hallways were more doors Halt opened several to see that there was nothing except of course the bed toilet setup. Halt kept running down hallways until he hit a stroke of luck and found a set of stairs up. Halt quickly ran up these stairs and then saw something that made him stop dead in his tracks. The whole room was filled with guards that were watching something on stage...Will with a rope around his neck. Halt stayed in the back of the crowd and only heard the words being spoken by the executioner " This man has been convicted of treason against Celestia and Equestria, and so will pay the highest price there is..death." Halt couldn't take this sentiment against his mentor's life, Halt ran through the sea of guards and onto the raised platform only to see up close the hanging of Will Vanderlon. All eyes were on Halt as he fell to the ground and started to tear up. The executioner stepped over to Halt and crouched beside him and pulled out a dagger.

The dagger didn't do anything but fall as blood flooded out of it's owner. The moment the executioner fell Halt was already running from the guards. He knew that he couldn't stay in Canterlot anymore,  Halt was going to board the first train going anywhere. Halt wasn't even worried about the guards chasing him, he knew he could away from them with no trouble. Halt was more focused on trying get out of this place wherever it was. Halt almost started laughing hysterically when he saw the EXIT sign. Halt immeidiately ran through the door while the guards were having trouble coming through.Halt looked at his surroundings and saw that he was only 500 hoofs away from the train station.  The train was already started and almost gone from his view,there were no trains whatsoever at the station. Halt made a quick look behind him to see if any of the guards were pegasi suprisingly there were only about 2 in the entire crowd easy kills. With that Halt took off in the direction the train went in to catch up. The 2 pegasi made an effort to stop Halt but it was futile they were both cut with swift strokes from his sword.

Halt easily caught up to the train with almost no effort. He got in through the back opening and went to Celestia knows where.
