Falling into Harmony

I was zooming through the air in an instant. I'd never gone this fast before. Not in a car, not on a plane, never!

"WOO HOOOO!!!!" I exclaimed in pure delight. The speed! The adrenaline! The wind rushing by my face! It was AMAZING!!!!! I'd never felt more alive in my life! Yeah, THIS is what it's aaaall about! If this came at the cost of my gender, i say shut up and take my Y chromosome! Take it and pluck it!

I started to do tricks in the air. Simple ones at first -spins, barrel rolls. flips, you know- but soon enough i started doing more advanced tricks. Loop-the-loop, aileron roll, Herbst maneuver, Kulbit, and on and on! I could go on all day! I don't think i wanted to return to the land! Ever!

I saw a nearby cloud and felt another idea pop into my head.

On impulse i flew over to it and... touched down upon it.

And Oh, Celestia! This -though a touch cool- was more comfortable than any bed i'd ever slept on. I decided to lie down , on that note. The cloud continuously rippled under my weight, lightly massaging me. If i was getting encouraged to stay in the clouds... well, it was working.

As fun as it was, i had to look for my friends. No point showing off if there's nobody -or more accurately, nopony- to show off TO, right?

I took off again, flying a little lower and relatively slower, scanning the ground at about mach 0.5. Sure enough, there they were in a nearby park. i brought myself into an easy spiral, eventually landing on a nearby table.

"WHOO! Now THAT was exhilarating!" i extolled as my friends looked on, surprised by my arrival.

"Well, well." Rarity said, "Nice of you to... drop in." she quipped.

"I couldn't resist, Once i transformed, i just.... felt the need to fly, To soar through the air at top speed."

"And you did, at that." Twilight said, dryly.

And these abilities are AWESOME! I flew faster than any jet, i could land on clouds... I get the feeling that there's more." I carried on.

"We were discussing future plans, so it's best that you're here, anyway." Twilight said.

I got off the table and sat down instead. "I was all wings before. I'm all ears now."
