Alan Mane is a famous writer who has suffered from restless nights, due to these frequent nightmares of a force he personally refers to as The Darkness. With Alan trying to write a sequal to his first best selling novel, he decides moving from his native town will help put a stop to these nightmares, and get him back on track with his sequal. He decides to reside in the infamous town known as Ponyville, where the neighbors are humble and friendly, and for once Alan feels at peace. That is until the nightmares come once again which leaves Twilight and her friends skeptical due to their experiences with nightmares. Twilight believes that the effects of the Mind Delve Spell are to blame but before she can plan any further; residents of ponyville are being terrorized by a dark presence. With Alan feeling responsible for these events, He and Twilight must help the people of Ponyville and learn the truth about the mysterious force, putting a stop to it once and for all…but will the truth be enough to help Alan put an end to The Darkness?
