“It's only Tuesday. And I hate this week already.” I groaned to myself

Only a few people were still out at school right now because of clubs and sports, the track kids were still outside cracking jokes while training for their upcoming tack meets.

I walked on past the edge of our school to a little shopping district where I usually spend most of my time in the coffee store nearby for it's free wifi, but today I'm just going to get a coffee and get home.

There were a few other kids hanging around this place too, even more in the coffee shop. All of them still on about those Rainbooms or that time that one bitch almost blew up the school. A kid like me, you'd think I want some of this anime bullshit in your everyday highschool, but no it's annoying. Three kids actually went to the hospital because of that competition we had last month.

The bell on top of the door rung as I stepped into the building where I was slapped in the face with both with a toasty breeze and the smell of delicious roasted coffee beans.

'This is probably going to be the only decent thing I'm going to get today and yet I have to fucking pay...'

“How's it goin today?” He asked me after getting closer to the counter

“Pretty, shitty actually. Thanks for asking.” My anger unintentionally snapped at him

“Oh, well..” He was taken aback “What can I get you today then?”

I retrieved a five from my wallet and pushed it across the counter to him “Just a regular coffee. Cream and sugar too.”

He nodded as he finished out the order and went back into the kitchen to finish up the drink order. I on the other hand walked over to the pickup counter with my phone out to wait.

I swiped through a mound of pictures from the student made social app that's just riddled with out of date memes...

'Why do I even bother with this garbage, that Whiz Kid is such a fucking nerd...'

Originally I wanted the consumption scene to be better but I got lazy and wanted this thing to be out.
