Velvet's Harem
Weekend Departure
Load Full StoryNext ChapterAnother week had drawn to a close and Saturday morning arrived in Canterlot. Like it normally does, the sun shining in through their window woke Twilight Velvet and Night Light up. He was the first to sit up and stretch as he said, "Ugh, I swear we really need to get a thicker curtain put up."
Velvet too sat up, stretched and yawned, "I know. We both say this every single morning but neither one of us bothers to go buy one and put it up."
This had been frustrating Night Light for quite some time but he didn't say anything because he knew that he was just as much to blame as his wife was. As he headed into the bathroom Velvet could only sigh in frustration as he almost always headed in first when normally she needed to go worse. She got up and stood there impatiently waiting. Finally after five minutes he was done and when he got out he was greeted by an irritated wife, "Honey, what took you so long in there?"
Night Light replied, "Well I had to sh....."
Velvet interrupted, "I get it, you had to do a number two. No need to go into so much detail."
Night Light knew how his wife was and just headed downstairs. Normally Velvet was the one to cook breakfast but given that she always takes longer showers on weekends, he figured he would surprise her and fix her her favorite breakfast.
Thirty minutes later Velvet headed downstairs to a pleasant surprise. As she arrived her husband was putting her plate on the table. When she saw that he had fixed her favorite breakfast, she rushed to him and hugged him. She exclaimed, "Thank you honey, that was so generous of you!" She pulled back and continued, "You must want something because you NEVER cook me breakfast."
Night Light got a nervous look on his face and replied, "Well there's something I forgot to tell you. I have a lot of vacation time so I took a week off and I'm going to a buckball game with my friends in Manehattan and then we're going camping for a few days."
Velvet was not thrilled and Night Light could tell it. He continued, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I was just afraid of how you would react."
Velvet's scowl grew deeper but unlike she would have several months ago, she took a deep breath and sighed, "Look, I know you love your buckball and camping with your friends but in the future could you at least have the courtesy to let me know in advance when you're going to do this?"
Night Light was shocked. He expected his wife to go ballistic and likely fire energy at him. He nervously replied, "Yeah, next time I can let you know."
Velvet gave him a glare and asked, "So, when are you and your friends leaving for all of this?"
Night Light replied, "Well our flight leaves this evening so it will likely be around noon. You know how airport security is these days."
Velvet said, "I know, I know. It usually takes you longer to go through security than it does to arrive at your destination."
Night Light gave her a stare and asked, "So what are your plans for the weekend?"
Velvet replied, "I don't know. I might go for a walk, I might go get a curtain and put it up, I might go visit Twilight or I might go...." she blushed and continued, "go see Celestia and Luna."
A disgusted look formed on his face as he said, "Again? You pretty much visit them every single weekend!"
Velvet replied, "Yeah, again. I don't see what is so bad about it. On the weekends you do your things so I should be able to do my things. If I want to go visit the princesses I will."
Night Light knew exactly what happened every single time she went to visit them and he sighed, "Look, you know I don't like it when you just have to go and unwind with them but I tolerate it to keep peace in the household..."
Velvet interrupted, "Well at least I'm not going out and unwinding with other stallions, right?" She raised her voice and asked, "What would you rather I do, would you rather I go get it on with other stallions or would you rather I go unwind with Celestia and Luna?"
Night Light knew that she made a good point. He hung his head low and replied, "I'd much rather you go get it on with them. At least I know you won't be running off with them, I know once you three finish your fun times you'll come home."
Velvet said, "You see, everything is just fine. You go off and do your activities with your friends and I go and unwind with the princesses." She looked up at the clock and continued, "Well you better go up and get packed if you're going to make your flight. I certainly don't want that money you spent on the airfare and buckball tickets going to waste."
He gave her a slight smile knowing that she did actually want him to go have fun with his friends. He headed upstairs while Velvet sat there with not a scowl on her face, but a smile knowing that soon she would be with the two ponies she loves the most, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
A couple hours had passed and Night Light was finishing up packing in their bedroom. He watched with a bit of disapproval as Velvet got into the outfit she always wears for the princesses. He did not say anything though because he remembered what she said earlier about her unwinding with the princesses rather than doing so with other stallions.
She saw him zip up his suitcase and asked, "Do you have everything you need?"
He replied, "Yes, I do." He gave her a smile and asked, "Hey, what would you think of me dropping you off at the palace so you don't have to walk?"
Velvet was beyond shocked. Never before had her husband offered to take her to the palace. She replied, "Yeah, that would be great and besides, it's on the way to pick up your friends and the airport anyway."
The two headed out and headed off towards the palace. As they were driving along, despite him giving her a smile earlier, Velvet could see a slight frown on his face. She didn't say anything though because she didn't feel like putting up with any of his rants. Once they arrived Velvet got out and said, "Well you have fun. Hopefully the buckball team can get revenge over that loss last season."
Night Light was shocked that his wife would actually remember that. He replied, "Yeah, I hope so. See you next week."
Velvet said, "Yeah, see you next week."
As Night Light pulled away Velvet was ecstatic. Given that he would be gone for a whole week she knew that would be a whole seven days she could spend with those she loves the most, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
