Load Full StoryNext ChapterEquestria, a land of magic and peace. A land filled with happy ponies of three central races. Earth Pony, Pegasus and Unicorn. These three races live in harmony and do not dispute between one another.
While Equestria was still in it's early state, the creator of the vast world decided it was time he moved on to a different project he had in mind. Equestria was created to sustain itself, but it needed government. So he created two powerful creatures called Alicorns, who had the wings of a pagasus and the horn and magic of a unicorn. The two creatures were bound by love and oath, and were granted a long infinite life that would not age. They were given powers over the night sky and the day light.
However the creator realized something. One of his older creations, based off a similar plan fell into chaos before. The creation had a single powerful creature, also an Alicorn, which had powers beyond anyone could imagine. However he was easily corrupted and entered a state of insanity.
Fearing for his new creation, but also curious as to how smart the ponies on it were, he set out a prophesy, foretelling the coming of this Alicorn from the other creation.
The creator realized his two governers were also easily corrupted, such was the natural heart, and realized they were not up for the task. So five thousand years before they even existed, the creator appointed four ponies with power over the four most important elements in Equestria. Time, Space, Dream, and Law. The creator built up the prophesy and hid it deep within a shrine in a forest, waiting to be found, and deciphered.
Finally having completed preperations for his exit, the creator then left to work on something new, something much more vast and complex. Something with qualities that matched his own image better.
Years passed. About three thousand in fact. The two governers had children, named Celestia and Luna, who were destined to recieve the throne. They were also Alicorns like their parents, and had recieved the gift of long life through them. These children grew up in a peaceful world and knew only happiness and content. They were treated well and taught how to read and write, and some basics on running the kingdom at a young age. Then before it was even noticed another two thousand years had passed. The princesses as they were now called, were fillies, and had learned much.
However at that time, another pony was born, this one was a unicorn. He was given the name Aeruth, meaning Endless Time, or Forever. He grew up like any normal pony would, year by year, unlike the Alicorns which took hundreds of years to truly age.
Over time he recieved his cutie mark. An ancient clock face, with gears and mechanics behind it. Many believed this just meant he was talented when it came to time related issues and had a good sense of keeping track of time as well. Others believed it meant he was destined to be a watch, or clock maker.
Little did they know it was far more than that, and that he was not the only one born with his destiny set before hand
