Let's Get This Party Started
It had been two and a half years since your mother and father sacrificed themselves to save you. This happened back when you were in your Junior year in high school. Emily had dedicated her life into raising you on her own since you and her didn't have any other aunts, uncles or any grandparents for that matter. She's been the best sister you've ever had. She was there for you during your high school graduation and even took you out to dinner.

One morning, when it was time for you to go to work, you woke up to the sight of Emily standing at your bedside.
"Oh, morning, sis. What'd ya need." you ask.
"Well, I've noticed you've been working very hard lately and I wanted to let you know that I'm really grateful about that, but I think you should at least take a day off. I don't want you to overwork yourself to the point of exhaustion. I love you too much to let that happen. It's my turn to give you a break." Emily explains.
"Are you sure, sis? I feel fine." you reply.

You got out of bed and turned on your system with your controller. You selected GTA 5 and waited for the game to load. You didn't know why, but you suddenly got the urge to look out the window and see the beautiful morning rising over the horizon. It always seemed to clear your mind of any kind of anything that stressed you out. You got up to check to see what was wrong with it. The TV screen suddenly went black and the whole room started to rumble. You held onto the bed to keep your balance. "N-nothing really. So, what'd you say this place was again?" you ask.
"This is Ponyville. The cutest little town in all of Equestria." she says ecstatically. "Where are you from?"
"I...I came from a city in California called San Jose. It's a pretty big city." you tell her.
"OOH! Is it like Canterlot? Canterlot is one of the biggest and richest cities in all of Equestria. But the locals over there are so snooty, they don't know how to throw a decently fun party!"

You and Pinkie finally arrived at Sugar Cube Corner and she opened the door for you, letting you in. She closed the door behind you and your eyes wandered around, scanning every inch of the shop. It was like every little kids' paradise in here. Some of the shelves had delicious and decorative cakes, the counters had delicious cupcakes and you swear you could also smell muffins, too.
"What do ya think? Doesn't make your taste buds tingle?" Pinkie asks you.
"Heh, yeah. Did you make all of these sweets yourself? They look and smell delicious." you reply in awe.
"No, not all of 'em. the Cakes made their fair share." she says. You quirked an eyebrow when she said "the Cakes." You were about to ask what she meant by that, but obviously, she catched on fast with what you were about to say. "And by Cakes, I mean Mr. Carrot Cake and Mrs. Cup Cake, the owners of this place."
"Hmm, those are...rather unique kind of names. So, does that make you the manager, or the co-owner?"
"Of course I'm the co-owner, sillly. This is also my home. I have a bed way up at the very top floor."
"Oh, that's nice to hear. I guess it's pretty nice to be close to your favorite job, but even better to also have your job as your house. You sure are pretty lucky, Pinkie."
"Aww, thank you, Frosty." your eyebrow quirked when she said that.
"Frosty?" you ask.
"It's my nickname for you, Frosty. OOH! That reminds me! Do you have any place to stay?"
"Um...my guess is...no." you frowned again.
"Aww, well I can always set up a sleeping bag for you in my room. Sound alright?"
"Oh, I wouldn't want to be a bother."
"Come on, don't pull a Fluttershy on me, besides, I can even give you a job as my assistant baker. We'll make the best pastries anypony's ever seen, just you and me and the Cakes. What do you say?" "Alright. I guess you can count me in, Pinkie. But let's hope Mr and Mrs. Cake are okay with this. I really don't like getting in the way of other people's work when they probably have enough on their plate."
"It's other "ponies" work, but yeah, you do make a good point. Tell you what, the Cakes are on a delivery trip to Fillydelphia and their little foals Pound and Pumpkin Cake are at the Crystal Empire playing with Flurry Heart. So that means we have the whole shop to ourselves for the rest of the week." Pinkie explains. Your smile returns and she giggled, seeing and feeling how happy you were.
Pinkie takes you into the kitchen and begins to teach you how to make cupcakes, one of the most simplest pastries. Step by step, she tells you how much of the ingrediants you should pour into the batter. Pinkie Pie put in some pieces of candy in the 12-holed cupcake tray in order to add some "extra sweetness" as she put it. When the cake batter was ready, you put it in the oven and started the timer. Pinkie then placed her arm over your neck and brought you in for a friendly noogie.
"See? I told you I could teach you how to bake. Next we'll try baking some muffins, Derpy's favorite!" she says.
"Alright, cool" you say, cracking the bones in your fingers. "Let's do this." Pinkie nods and turns a few pages until she stops at the "Lemon Muffin Surprise" recipe. You got a bit confused with this recipe, but it was worth a shot. You grabbed a mixing bowl and put in the right amount of ingredients the book shows you. After that, you gave the batter a good mixing until it was just right for putting in the oven, but you had to wait for the cake to finish baking.
In the meantime, you had a little time to think to yourself what your sister, Emily was doing right now. You couldn't help but feel the tears running down your cheek and Pinkie didn't hesitate to comfort you.
"Hey, why the long face again, Frosty? Aren't you happy?" she asks. You turn to face her with the same face.

"What happened to your mom and dad?"

Just then, the timer goes off and the two of you stood up and grabbed the oven mits and took the tray out of the oven. The cupcakes smelled nice and fresh. You put the tray on the stove and let the cupcakes cool off, along with the oven.
All the while, the sound of the front door opening alerted Pinkie Pie of the customers and she zoomed out to the front desk. You chuckled and shook your head at Pinkie's actions. If there was anything you liked about Pinkie, other than how cute she was, it's that she's a good listener like any real friend was and she was unpredictable. You start to wonder if she runs on sweet foods alone. That thought was then cut short when she called out to you.
"Frosty! We got an order for 5 chocolate cakes! Could you help me bring them out here?"
"Sure, on my way." you called back. Pinkie walked into the kitchen again and opened up the fridge. There were five boxes of chocolate cake all different shapes and sizes. You carried 3 boxes and Pinkie carried the other 2 and the two of you walked out to the front desk, where a tall, white horse stood. She looked like she was either a princess or even a queen. "Let me guess, you want me to teach you the basic rules about Equestria. Well I could, but I'd have to introduce you to my friend, Twilight, she lives in the Castle of Friendship with her husband. I can take you there so she can teach you."
"Really?" she gives you a reassuring nod. "Alright, thanks."
By the time you and Pinkie finished up the rest of the orders and baking some fresh Lemon Muffin Surprise, you and Pinkie walked across Ponyville and over to this huge, glittering castle. Pinkie knocked on the door and out came a lavender pony with a horn and wings, and next to her was a male human. The two of you shook hands and introduced yourselves. Pinkie tells Twilight about the circumstances you were in and she allowed you to come inside.
Twilight and her husband led you to the library upstairs and got out a few books on the history of Equestria, the rules of certain cities, towns and other places, and lastly, a book on Equestrian vocabulary. They told you that you could take the books with you back to Sugar Cube Corner and bring them back in a couple of weeks. You thanked them and walked back to Sugar Cube Corner with Pinkie Pie. You'd walk back yourself, but you didn't know your way around Ponyville yet.
7 months have passed and within those 7 months, Mr and Mrs. Cake allowed you to stay with them at Sugar Cube Corner. You also helped Pinkie set up a few parties in Ponyville for a lots of her friends. Anniversaries, birthdays, welcome parties, you name it. Nowadays, the ponies referred the two of you as Pinkie and Frosty: Party Thrower Duo Extraordinairs. Your friend, Twilight has been trying to find the books on how to send you back home, along with some... other kinds, but still nothing, since she always reshelves her books.

You offered to teach Emily how things work here in Equestria and she accepted after a little careful thinking. But for now, you took her to the guest room that Pinkie had made just for her.
