Smash!

I stare at my hoof as it lay over the remains of my alarm clock. Looks like today I'd be paying another visit to Time Turner. I withdrew my hoof and rolled over in my bed to face the window that overlooked the streets outside. It was already nearing noon and the street below was crowded with ponies walking this way and that all heading to lunch or to meet a friend or what ever else they did on a day like today. The skies were clear and from the amount of ponies outside the temperature must be rather fine. I smiled to myself before getting up and shuffling myself across the mess that was my bedroom. Cards from popular card games littered the floors and books were scattered across the floor.

After making my way through the maze of cards, books, and what ever other junk that inhabited my bedroom, I had finally made it to the bathroom to take care of the morning business. After coming out the bathroom fresh from a shower I made my way down the steps that were also littered with cards and collectibles. I paused on step number 7, so that's where I put Marejesty Lord Blaster. I continued on my way through the house until I reached my kitchen, not sure why I come in here any more, ever since eating all the food I moved in here with last year I had never bought anything to restock the place other than the occasional bottled water. I turned around and left the kitchen and headed into the laundry room at the the end of the hallway. I pulled out my uniform for work, an apron, I was a chef after all and what chef didn't wear an apron right? I pulled it on and looked at myself in the conveniently placed mirror that I kept in my laundry room for no real reason at all. A shaggy brown mane over a tan coat of fur and a nice pointy horn, oh and green eyes. I don't know why but everyone always points them out, it's not like I'm the only pony with fantastic bright green eyes right?

With a shrug and a smile I left the laundry room and made towards the front door, today would be my one hundredth and sixty first day working at May's Hay Place and I could tell by the face that I didn't over sleep that today would be a good day, or at least a day like any other. I opened the front door to my house and found myself staring face to face with a familiar pink party pony.

"Hey Pinks" I said with a smile as I walked past her with a nod. She followed along side me and smiled back

"Hi BT, sorry to make this quick but here this is for you, I have to go now but I'll see ya around later ok? ok thanks for the rsvp talk to you later by!"

I looked at the note she had handed me and looked back up to ask her what it was but she was already gone. I shrugged and opened the note, with my magic, cause I'm a unicorn. Anyways I opened the not and read it to my self.

Dear Sir/Madam friend of mine!

Tonight at 6 pm sharp, there will be avery special birthday party being held for Lyra Heartstrings

We would be very happy to see you there and are glad that you will be showing up

Presents are not mandatory as He/She will be happy enough just having you there to celebrate!

I laughed to myself as I finished reading Pinkies invitation to the party, mostly because the writing suggested that I would be attending anyways. I placed the note in my apron's handy pocket as I continued on my way to May's Hay Place, today was going to be a good day after all.
