This'll be a three chapter story, so stay tuned for the next 2. But for this one, I think it's best that you get a tissue box because this one is gonna really pull at heartstrings.
Saying Your Goodbyes
It was a beautiful sunny day up in the mountains. You lived in a nice, little house away from the city and your family. Although you loved them very much, they had a few complications with trying to spend time with you because of the tons of cash they make.
About a decade ago when you were only 10, your parents had won the lottery. A total of $500 million dollars. This was about a whole lot more than what they made in their already-booming real-estate agency. Naturally, the money got to their heads and they packed up their bags and moved you with them into a huge mansion. It was cool to live there at first, but later when you were in high school, it was hard to make friends since they were only after "your money." It bugged you to death that there were so many greedy people out there.
When the day came for your graduation, your parents only slightly cheered for you. It was like they forgot you existed. You wished that your parents hadn't won the lottery that day. It tore you up to think that money was so important to them. When your graduation ended, you stayed locked up in your room all day with nothing, but the servants to comfort you. However, they weren't servants to you, but more like your only friends who didn't care if you had money. You weren't the spoiled type of guy, but it was clear that if you stayed any longer with your parents, you would become spoiled.
You told your parents that enough was enough and that you were moving out. Of course, the only thing said was "Son, we're busy, can't this wait until tomorrow?" and nothing more. You told the "servants" that you were packing up and moving out. They were worried about your decision to leave. You told them it'd be alright and that you were thankful for all the times they stayed by your side.
Within a week, you moved into a nice house up in the mountains. It wasn't that big, but it was still nice and comfortable. But then, you got a call from your parents another week later, shouting about why you never told them. You argued with them, saying that you did tell them, but they were too self-absorbed with their work and money to even open up their eyes and ears. You explained to them that money doesn't always bring you happiness and that it can sometimes push the owner's loved ones away. In which case, they pushed you away and this left them speechless with the grave error they made.
They then asked what they can do to bring you back home. You said it was already too late and that you found a home of your very own to stay in, but you explained how they can still visit you when they're not busy. You told them where you live and told them that you loved them and hung up.
Today, you've gotten to see your parents for a total of 15 times in the past 3 months. They still kept the mansion, but they always did their best to find time off of work in order to keep in touch and spend time with you. On this sunny day, you decided to go fishing out by the river with your own handmade, custom fishing pole. Walking down the path, your ears took in the sounds of the birds chirping, and the wind blowing past the trees all around you.
You got near the river and could see the fishes swimming against the strong currents with effortless ease. You hooked the bait onto the pole and casted it into the river. The fishes started to make their way to the bait, but then, they swam away. You got curious of why, so you turned to see what was the problem. Your eyes shot wide open when a huge river current was speeding by, knocking down some of the trees as it got closer and closer. You panicked and dropped your pole and tried to run, but the current got you by the legs.
You tried your best to hang onto the dry land, but the current was too strong and it carried you away. You tried your hardest to keep your head above the water. It works only for a little while until you caught the sight of the waterfall coming into view. You got scared and tried to swim away, but it was all in vein. You soon felt yourself falling straight down and you life flashed before your eyes. With nothing left to do, but close your eyes, you accepted your fate of dying into the hands of mother nature.
You heard the sounds of two indistinct voices later on as you regained conciousness. You opened your eyes and saw that you weren't up in the mountains anymore and instead, you were inside what looked like some kind of castle, judging by all the expensive decoration, from the stone pillars and strange pictures carved into the windows to what looks like two anthro horses staring directly down at you.
The one on your left was a blue alicorn horse. She had midnight blue eyes and wore a light blue dress with a necklace that had white cresent moon in the middle. Her hair was the same color as her eyes and was constantly floating as if it was blowing in the wind and her breasts were a solid G-cup. The alicorn horse on your right, however, was white with sparkling purple eyes and her hair was rainbow colored, while moving in the same pattern as the other horse. She wore a golden dress that barely managed to cover up her noticable H-cup breasts. Her necklace was golden yellow with a purple jewel engraved in the middle.
"Human, are you alright? You took a bit of a nasty fall." asked the white alicorn.
"Ugh...what happened?" you ask back, trying to get up. But she stopped you.
"Wait, don't move, you're hurt! Just hold on and let us take care of your injuries."
"Our sister is quite true, unless thou wish to prolong the bleeding in thine human cranium." added the blue alicorn. You were confused by what she meant by that, until you reached for your head and felt something wet on your fingers. You saw that you had blood running down your head, which meant that you must've hit a rock when you fell down the waterfall. The two alicorns' horns start to light up, in yellow and blue auras and engulfed you in a magic veil. Your whole body felt tingly, like it was being cured of any and all injures you sustained from your little accident.
"H-How did you both do that? I don't feel any pain anymore. Was that some kind of magic trick?" you ask, getting up.
"Actually, it was just our magic. It's sort of our bread and butter here in the land of Equestria." said the white alicorn. Just as you were about to ask what "Equestria" was, she answered for you. "And for the record, Equestria is the name of this country. But the name of the city you wound up in is called Canterlot. My name is Princess Celestia and this is my little sister, Princess Luna. We're the rulers and protectors of the entire kingdom of Equestria."
"And how long have you been ruling Equestria?" you ask.
"We've ruled this land in over a milennia. But our royal tasks came with a few bumps along the way." Luna says. "During those times, we've run into multiple enemies and vanquished them from the surface. But our magic did not trap them indefinitely. I was one of the enemies that my sister fought long ago."
"What? But why?"
"I'd rather not say." Celestia says. "At least, not right now, anyway. So what about you? How'd you end up here in Equestria? Did something bad happen to you where you lived?"
"Well, yes. I was just going out fishing. I was living up in the mountains when this happened. It was a warm sunny day and I needed to catch some fish for a quick bite to eat. But just as I was about to catch them, this huge river current swept me away and I ended up falling down the waterfall, which I'm guessing is what...caused my death. But I still don't know how I ended up here." you explain.
"Very interesting. But why would you eat fish? They're living creatures like you and I." Luna asked.
"There's always been this thing where every day, we have to kill off some farm animals just so we could consume their meat in order to give our bodies the nutrients they need to grow stronger. It pains me to have to take life just to fill my stomach, but it's all a big part of the great circle of life. We give life and we take life. I know it sounds messed up, but it's one of the things I've learned from my teachers back home when I didn't understand the whole concept.
"I suppose it does make sense. I don't exactly like the idea of lives being taken, but if it was for a good cause, I can respect it. And I can tell that you have a pure-hearted soul for speaking what you feel is the truth." Celestia says.
"I agree, dearest sister. Tell me, human. Do you wish to travel back home?" Luna asks.
"Why do you ask?" you say.
"Well, if you wish to return, we can try our best to find a spell that'll take you home. But if you choose to stay here and start a new life here in the city of Canterlot, we'd gladly take you in and allow you to stay in the castle." Luna explains. "However, try not to expect any kind of luxuries or any kind of accessories."
"Lucky for you, I'm not exactly one to live a spoiled life. And I don't really want to burden you with wanting to send me back home. I've already been through enough heartache and struggles as it is. So, do you think I can at least stay here with you two?"
"Sure, but Luna is going to be busy during the night. I had to wake her up earlier because it was an emergency. I do apologize, Luna, you can go ahead and go back to sleep." Celestia says to her little sister. The two hug each other, pressing their breasts against each other and you felt your face burning up and blushing. Luna then walks down the hall and disappears behind the doors.
Celestia took you by the hand and walked you down the hall with her. But then there was that one question that still bugged you, so you then asked Princess Celestia about it.
"So, why did you end up fighting against your own sister? Did something bad happen to her?" you ask. Celestia looked at the ground with a saddened look on her face. "Oh... sorry, Princess. You don't have to answer it."
"No, no. It's alright. Mother always told me to never keep my feeling bottled up, so I'll tell you. A little over a thousand years ago, my sister was blinded by anger and jealousy because the ponies would always be awake during the daytime and sleeping during the night. You see, I'm in charge with raising the sun, while Luna raises the moon. And because back then, there was no pony to admire her beautiful moonlight, she grew jealous and allowed herself to become Nightmare Moon. I tried to reason with her, but to no avail. So I used these little gems called the Elements of Harmony to banish her to the moon."
"That's awful. I'm very sorry you had to go through that. No one should ever go through something like that. I always wondered what it'd be like to have a brother or sister. The struggle must've been a hard pill to swallow." you say with your hand to your chest.
"Thank you for your sympathy, human. But you know, something came out of the whole Nightmare Moon incident. After living a thousand years of regret, my faithful former student, Twilight Sparkle and her friends expelled the evil inside Luna and I got my little sister back and I couldn't be more happy." Celestia explains. All you could do was smile at her, knowing that everything turned out well in the end. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of "heartaches" did you go through back home?"
"Well, to put it simply, when I was only 10 years old, my parents had won the lottery. It was more than enough for them to expand their already successful real estate business. It was fun at first, though. We ended up going to 5 different places around the world in a whole year and it was beautiful. But the happiness didn't last forever. When I was starting out in high school, my parents got so absorbed into their work that they hardly paid any attention to me. This was back when we moved into a huge mansion. Of course, everyone knew about my parents and how they were swimming in money. The other teens tried to get close to me just so they could mooch off "my money." you explain, looking down at the ground.
"Oh, dear. That's terrible. I never knew humans could be so... greedy."
"Some of 'em were, but there was only one friend who stuck by my side before we graduated high school. His name was Steven, a really good guy who accepted me as a friend, not because I was "rich," but because of who I was inside. When we graduated, he told me he was gonna further his studies at this placed called California State University. I haven't heard from him ever since. Nowadays, all I had left to keep me from being depressed was my piano teacher."
"Did your parents hire any butlers or maidens to keep you company?"
"Well, only a two of them did. One of them taught me how to play the piano and the other would always check up on me whenever I'd go out and do my own thing. They were the only people whoever paid any attention to me. I wanted to talk to a family therapist, but my parents would always cancel out on that. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and I told them I was moving out. They didn't listen to me, but I packed up my bags and moved up into the mountains."
"How long did you live up there?"
"Three months until I had that river accident."
"I...I'm very sorry you suffered so much. If there's anything I can do to cheer you up, let me know."
"There's no need, princess. The fact that you were able to listen to what I had to say is enough for me."
"Alright."
After your conversation, she stopped you in front of one of the doors in the hallway and she opened up the door, leading into a luxurious guest room with a king sized bed. The blankets were folded neatly and the nightstand had a little lamp and a music box. The room also had a few books to read.
"It's not much, but at least you'll be able to sleep well through the night. Tomorrow, I'll take you over to my library and I can teach you all about how everything works here in Equestria. But for now, why don't you just relax and wait until it's time for dinner? It wouldn't be a good idea for me to exhaust you after all that's happened." Celestia implies.
"Well, that's very nice of you, princess. And thanks for letting me stay." you say, hugging her. Celestia is taken by surprise at first, but she then returns your hug with one of her own. She felt soft and warm. Sadly, it didn't last long as you and her pulled away. You walked over to your new bed and slumped onto the pillow, face first. Celestia giggles at you before disappearing behind the door. You turned yourself around to face the ceiling above.
It had been a long and exhausting day, being swept by the rivers and landing in a whole other world with magical talking horses. And even moreso as you were taken in by two horse goddesses. Your eyes grew a bit heavy and you took a little nap.
Inside your dreams, you were inside a golden yellow void, which gave you a warm feeling, like you were being protected. Then out of nowhere, you heard the sounds of loud sobbing. You turned to your left and saw what looked like a portal to your world. You saw that your mom was hugging what looked like your dead body. You could tell that this was all happening in the forest. Your mom couldn't stop ranting about what she could've done to prevent this from happening.
"What have I done?! It's all my fault! I'm so sorry, son! Please, come back!" she sobbed loudly. You felt your heart begin to ache as you witnessed your mom mourning over your death. Just then, Princess Luna appeared right in front of you. You turned to face Luna with a look of sadness and confusion.
"Luna? Tell me. Is it too late for me to go back home?" you ask her
"In normal circumstances, yes. But in Our case, there is a way to return home. However, it is only temporary. I can bring you back to life, but eventually, your body will disappear and return here in Equestria." Luna explains.
"Oh, I see."
"We are very sorry, but it's all We can do. Dus thou wish to see thine parents one last time?"
"If it's to say my good-byes, then I'd be most grateful."
"Very well, then. Hold still." Luna's horn began to glow and you felt your whole body glowing. There was nothing but a bright light blinding you until everything went black. The sounds of sobbing was heard once more and you groaned as you opened your eyes. Your teary-eyed mother came back into view.
"M-Mom?" you ask. She gasped.
"MY BABY, YOU'RE ALRIGHT!!!" she hugs you tightly, rocking you side to side and letting loose the water works. "I was so worried when you didn't answer your phone. I went by to check up on you and when I saw your body floating down the river, I got so scared! I thought I lost my only boy, forever!" she said quickly. You smiled a bit and hugged her back.
"I'm sorry I worried you, mom. But, where's dad?" you ask her.
"I'm right here, son." he says from behind you. You turned to see your dad, who also had tears in his eyes. He hugged you gently, and whispered into your ear. "When I saw what happened to you, I kepting saying how I'd give up all the riches I've ever worked for just so I could hear your voice again." he sounded slightly choked up when he confessed to you.
"I'm happy you feel that way, dad. But, I have some bad news I have to share with you two."
"W-What do you mean?"
"Well, it's hard to explain it, so here's what happened after the accident." you say. You started explaining the events that happened after your accident by the river up in the mountains and how you ended up in this other world. Knowing your parents, they were pretty skeptic on the whole entire thing.
"If anything, I'd say that accident by the river left you in a coma. Maybe we should take you to the hospital." your dad said.
"It's the truth, dad. I'm not making this up."
"Son, you know we love you, but this sounds like something an 8-year-old girl would make." you mom says.
"Then how about We show you so that your son isn't lying." said Luna's voice. Your parents were caught by surprise by the sound of her voice and they scanned their surroundings to find out where it was coming from. Just then, a magical blue mist appeared next to you and your parents got worried and pulled you away from it. The mystical blue mist started to take form from the legs all the way up the tip of the horn and the ears, revealing Princess Luna. "Greetings to you. I am Princess Luna."
Your parents were just frozen in place, shocked at what their eyes were witnessing.
"Son?! What is the meaning of this? Is this some kind of trick?" your mom asks, a bit hysterical.
"Mom, I was telling the truth. This is Princess Luna. She brought me here when I was napping at the castle."
"I can understand that this is all a bit too much to take in at first, but your son tells no lie. My sister found him lying on the floor with a nasty bleeding bruise in his cranium. We healed his wounds at took him in." Luna explains.
"Well...we uh... We thank you for saving our son's life." your dad says.
"You're very welcome, but I'm afraid his time is running out here."
"W-What do you mean?" your mom asks, worried.
"I'll explain it." you say, walking next to Luna and facing your parents. "When I fell asleep at the castle, I saw you crying and holding my former dead body and I felt really guilty. I never really got a chance to say good-bye, but thanks to Luna, I'm finally able to get my wish."
"What are you saying?" your dad asks.
"Luna used a spell to bring me back to life, but only for a few minutes. After that, my whole body will disappear and I'll end up back in the castle in Canterlot." You could feel your parents' hearts breaking when you said that, even your own. "But try to understand, I love you both very much and I wouldn't trade you guys for anything in the world. I'm just gonna be somewhere far away, but just know that I'll always be close to you guys in here." you placed each of your hands on their let chests. "I know it's tough, but..."
"We know, sweetie." your mom says, with a sniff and a tear in her eye. "I just wish we could've prevented all of this." she wraps her arms around you, quietly sobbing on your shoulders.
"If you ever do find a way to visit us from where you're about to leave to, feel free to surprise us anytime. And no matter how far you are, or how tough it'll be, just know that I'm very proud to have had you as my #1 favorite son." your dad says, hugging you tightly. You hugged them both back and felt your own tears running down your cheeks.
'Thank you... for being such great parents." you say, slghtly choked up. The three of you held your embrace for a whole minute before you stepped back with Luna and felt yours and Luna's body glowing. Your parents smiled, waving good-bye and you waved back. But you knew this wasn't really a "farewell," but just a temporary "good-bye until we meet again." Withing a few seconds your vision was blinded by a white light and you ended up back in the guest room of the castle once again, laying on your bed.

Let Me Show You The Wonders Of The Sun (Part 1)
After you said goodbyes to your parents and returned to the Canterlot Castle, you decided to adjust to your new life and tried to make yourself comfortable by reading a few good stories. You grabbed a few books from your little shelf and took them to your bed. But you couldn't read any of the books because of the strange characteristics and vocabularies. You decided to wait until Princess Celestia was availavle to teach you how to understand Equestrian vocabulary.
Speaking of Celestia, the door to your room opened, revealing the princess of the sun with a warm smile. "Dinner's ready." she said in her angelic voice, earning a nod from you. You got out of your bed and walked with her down the hall and into the dining room, where Princess Luna was waiting patiently for you two. Princess Luna's dish consisted what looked like a type of garden salad, a daffodil and daisy sandwich and a cup of tea. Celestia's dish caught you off guard. There were 4 whole chocolate cakes that were tall enough to reach your torso and you stared at Celestia with your mouth hanging open.
She giggled and explained. "I've already had my dinner. That's just my little dessert dish."
"Little? Those cakes are enough to fill up at least a couple hundred people. you're gonna eat all of it?" you ask in a tiny bit of a shock.
"I've done it before. I just simply can't help myself. Chocolate cake is just so delicious." Celestia replies.
"Yeah... I can tell." you say.
"And guess where all those cakes go." Luna added, gesturing her sister's H-cup breasts and plump ass. Your eyes darted quickly to the ceiling as you blushed furiously.
"So, are you going to just stand there or are you going to sit down and we can eat?" Celestia asks. You snap out of your little trance and walked over to the dining table. Your plate had a pretty nice spread. There was a small bowl of salad with croutons to give the salad an added crunchy taste, a grilled cheese sandwich and a nice cold cup of water.
"Mmm, smells good." you say. You took a bite out of your sandwich and enjoyed the taste. You tried your salad, which tasted just as good as your sandwich, if not better. But, instead of pigging out, you ate at your own pace, while Princess Celestia was digging her face into her chocolate cake and Luna was trying not to pay attention to her big sister. You thought that Celestia looked adorable when she was stuffing her face and getting covered in cake frosting. She wasn't kidding when she said she loved chocolate cake.
Dinner went smoothly throughout the night and you were finally full, even after Celestia gave you a slice of one of her chocolate cake. But before you headed out into the room, your eyes were distracted by the beautiful night sky. Luna's moon really was beautiful. You could understand why she grew jealous thousands of years ago and turned into this "Nightmare Moon." But then a whole cluster of thoughts about Celestia flooded into your mind and your mind drifted off. Celestia was incredibly beautiful, you weren't gonna lie. And she's even built up like a goddess, even though actually is one.
You realized that you were getting a little ahead of yourself as you realized that you started growing feelings for an anthro horse goddess. You shook your head and walked out of the dining room. You entered the hall and came back to the door that led to your bedroom. You went inside and closed the door behind you before jumping into your bed and falling asleep.
The next morning, you woke up with the beautiful sun emitting light into your bedroom through the windows. You smiled at the beautiful rising sun and sat up on your bed. You stretched your body and got out of bed, letting out a yawn. There was a knock on your door soon afterwards and you walked over to see who it was. You opened the door and saw Princess Celestia, only she was wearing a beautiful, pink night gown, barely able to cover up her beautiful, hourglass figure. You blushed intensely, with your face burning up. She giggled at your natural reaction to her.
"I guess you like what you see." Celestia says.
"I...I do apologize if I offended you!" you said, trying to cover up your face.
"Don't worry, I'm not mad or anything. I'm actually flattered. Now, how about I take you over to the library? I figured that since you're finally a permanent resident here, I thought it'd be best to teach all there is to know about our customs. Of course, we'll have to teach you how to understand the vocabulary of Equestria."
"Really? Cool, thanks, Celestia." after you agreed, she took you by the hand and lit up her horn. One minute, you and her were in your room, the next, you were in what looked like a library. Your eyes scanned the many stacked shelves with amazement. "Holy shit! How many books do you keep in this library? There's gotta be a least a little over 100,000 in here!"
"To be precise, it's 150,000. And yes, I counted them all... with the help of Discord." she says.
"Discord? Who's that? Is he a friend of yours?"
"More like my ex-boyfriend. We had a bit of a scuffle thousands of years ago when he plunged turned all of Equestria into his own magical world of chaos... literally. I turned him into stone right after I had offically broke up with him. Of course, when he broke free he tried to take over Equestria again, but he was defeated again. Nowadays, he's not turned to stone anymore, but he's reformed. He's been a big help ever since he, Trixie and Starlight Glimmer saved us from the changeling army." Celestia explained.
"Whoa. You think I can maybe meet him and his friends one day?"
"Maybe. But for now, let's focus on teaching you the basics here." Celestia's horn lit up and she took a few books from her shelves, putting them on the table. You sat down with her and opened up one of the books. As usual, the characteristics are difficult to understand, but Princess Celestia helped translate them for you. She first guided you on Equestrian Literature. Understanding the basic vocabulary words that most modern and advanced societies speak in both common places and rich places. Although, you were learning steadily, you and Celestia didn't think it was necessary to speak in words that you didn't feel comfortable with. But the lessons helped you otherwise.
Next, she taught you a few lessons on Equestrian History. Mainly about how life was like thousands of years ago before the city of Canterlot became what it was today. She even helped teach about this beautiful town which was called Ponyville. She explained how the Apple family was granted the land and planted its very first apple orchard. Celestia also explained how a stallion named Stinkin' Rich came into the town and helped sell Zap apple jam, then later on, helping Ponyville become what it was today. You were intrigued by how much of this info you learned. You then asked Princess Celestia if you could visit Ponyville one of these days and she agreed without hesitation.
After your history lesson, you and Celestia read a book on spells that were okay to use, easy to use, and of course...forbidden to use, in which case, wasn't much of an issue since you couldn't do magic. One of the most simplest spells being "levitation spells," a simple spell you saw Celestia do already. Next, was the "teleportation spell," which you immediately recognized. Though it is quite common, it can drain a unicorn or alicorn of their magic very quickly if their concentration and magical discipline was lacking. For Celestia, you could tell that she was highly capable of perform such a spell without breaking a sweat or losing any large amount of magic.
One year has passed and your relationship with Princess Celestia was improving, as well as most of your knowledge of Equestria, too. So well that you even found a spell in a book that allows you to visit your parents back in your home dimension once a month. So on the first of each month, Princess Celestia would send you to your hometown, allowing you to visit your parents at the mansion. You told them about how you'd be able to visit them once a month and they were overjoyed to hear this. Every time you visited them, you'd either go out and watch a movie, have walks in the park, or even just spend the night.
Another thing that's happened is that your feelings for Celestia start becoming stronger and heart-warming. You didn't realize until later on that you accepted the fact that you were in love with her. But you haven't told her how much you felt about her. But you had a chance to confess to her after the Grand Galloping Gala.
During that time, you got to meet Twilight and her amazing friends, including their...human sweethearts. What shocked you was that some of her friends had kids, probably the oldest ones were 3 and 4 years old. During the party, you just talked with the guys, going over you all each ended up in Equestria and growing attached to their mares. They were all a bunch of great guys and they immediately became your best pals shortly after the Gala had ended.
Now, tonight was the night you would confess to Celestia your feelings about her and you weren't going to let fear stop you. You were at Celestia's bedroom door and you knocked three times.
"Come on in." she said. You opened the door to see Princess Celestia standing near the window and gazing at the moon. She was wearing her pink, silky night gown. This made your face burn up, but you shook it off and walked towards her. She looks over at you with a warm smile and brings you next to her. "So what brings you into my chambers?"
"W-Well, Celestia... I-I-I... I wanted to tell you something." you stutter.
"Oh? And what did you want to tell me?" she asks.
"Y-You see... I've kinda... developed a..."
"A... crush on me?" she asks, pressing her cheek with yours. You blushed so hard you felt like smoke was coming straight out of your ears.
"H-H-How did you know?!"
"Come on, I've noticed it for quite some time now. Specifically, during your first time coming here... some time after dinner was over."
"Oh." you said, looking down at the floor, ashamed of yourself.
"Hey, don't be so gloomy. If it helps, I've had a bit of a crush on you for quite some time now. I just didn't think it was the right time to confess so early, so instead, I waited. I was even going to confess to you, but I feel like I should let you confess first to me first."
