The centurion Mettius Licinius Lutorius must save his men, their families and the eagle standards of the legions by racing through the forest and overcome traps and ambushes set by the Germans, but unbeknownst to him, the druids performed rituals in the forest to affect the actual battle prior to the Roman host arriving. Will the now-hallowed woods be the end of the Roman soldiers and their families or will they be their only hope?
